I've tried more of the beverages here. As is tastes as pleasant as the name is 'maffy's'. Ive also tried the falafel which is like a grilled burger served with salad and fries.
This place was a good experience they try to bring out the arabic vibes including their music. The interior is heart touching along with the quality of food and staff. Overall it is a 3.5/5. I recommend everyone to try this place out for a change and good experience.

This restaurant serves more than 20 types of hummus. The pita breads can be made better. The hummus served here is delicious.
I would recommend to try their Istanbul lamb kebabs. These kebabs are filled with flavour.
The chicken Persian gravy served here is a delicious creamy preparation of small boneless chicken cubes and tomato based creamy gravy. This can be best relished with Parathas.
Also the Riyadh kebsa rice served here is like creamy mutton biryani. The rice is creamy with succulent pieces of mutton.

Maffy’s Arabian Bistro is located just opposite Gateway of India. The outside ambience is amaizng as the location is just opposite to the sea.
The indoor ambience gives a middle-eastern feel. The service is quick and the food is delicious.
I tried the PERI PERI CHICKEN HUMMUS which is a thick preparation made with charred corn, tahini, coriander and cumin. The grilled chicken served along is delicious. Pita breads can be better.
ISTANBUL DONER KEBABS are delicious and mouth-melting. It has a powering flavour of turkish spices.
In main course, I tried the CHICKEN PERSIAN GRAVY with GARLIC NAAN. It is a tomato based gravy which is very creamy and delicious.
Also the RIYADH KABSA rice served here is an amazing combination of creamy rice with lamb. The rice is creamy and delicious. The lamb pieces are succulent and mouth-melting.
In desserts, I tried their CONDENSED CAKE. This soft and fluffy cake is soaked in milk cake and dry fruit. This is a very delicious dessert and I would highly recommend everyone to try this.

Maffys is a very cozy place located at Colaba, opposite radio club. It's very beautifully decorated and very well maintained. I loved the soft Arabic music. The staff is humble and we were suggested the best dishes. It's a child friendly place and valet is available.

Maffy’s has an amazing vibe to it. Very close to Gateway and by the sea. We sat in the open to enjoy the ambience better. Started with a not-so-difficult-to-guess for a Lebanese place, “hummus and pita”, but this was Five Herb Hubbus - different and unique, a must-try.
Went on to have Afghani Dum Nalli - a succulent lamb dish, that was really very good, and came with a brilliant Arabic dressing.
Our main course consisted of Persian chicken with naan, a must-try. We also had the Chicken Biryani pot. Do try “Turkish Delight”, a mocktail of pomegranate and rose.
For desserts, we had the traditional “Sweet and condensed fluffy cake”, a sponge cake soaked in milkmaid with some dry nuts and saffron.
All-in-all, an enjoyable Middle-Eastern experience.

The place was really outstanding. In terms of food , environment, service, staff behaviour everything. The staff's were really polite and they were the one who suggested us to try the dish, because since it's an Arabian Theme restaurant the items that was presented in the menu were quite difficult as it is entirely different from what I have seen at other restaurants. The place was not so crowded, not so noisy as they have limited seats. They really have good items in their food department as suggested by the staff member we ordered -
Char Grilled Rubiyan - Your love for prawns will reach to the next level as this dish was ridiculously awesome. Prawns were grilled and served with yogurt below it and it was really good. They didn't overcooked the prawns it was made with perfection. The taste will leave you for wanting more.
Chicken Shish Touk - Again amazing ! This dish was little complicated on the plate as it's an kebab dish there were too kebab stick in which they have sticked the chicken kebab pieces and below it there was yogurt and around the corner of the dish there were onion salad with I think green chutney then tomato salad and onion were fried and served and a portion of mayo too. But even though it looks complicated the taste will leave you in awe on how good it was made.
Inspired Chicken Biryani Pot - And for the main course, the waiter suggested this dish, and it didn't disappoint us at all. Biryani served in a pot with lemon herbed chicken and the rice was really soft and well cooked, the smell and taste of saffron in the biryani made it more mesmerising. Truly a worth of a main course.

Lovely place, warm, hospitable and courteous staff. We had booked a table and we're running late for our reservation and called the restaurant to inform the same, Pawan who answered the phone was courteous and did say that it's fine and was polite enough to say it's ok we understand. Please drive safely.
After reaching the venue the decor is quite middle eastern. The menu is well balanced between veg and non veg. The sun-dried tomatoes hummus was simply delicious with the warm pita breads. We ordered sweet potato fries...which is our fav and was brilliantly seasoned and crispy. The grilled hallumi was flavourful and the caramelized onions were cherry on top. The panner starter however was a bit of let down..wish it had a little more of the marinade. The zatar cheese naan was stunning...and the closure of our dinner was the baklava lolli pops were filled with nuts ..wish it had a little crunch ...but overall an evening well spend...and food flavourful and beautiful...would definitely visit soon.

Visited Maffy's, the Pan- Arabian Bistro last night. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a Hotel next to Radio Club.
The menu is quite extensive and it has plenty of options for both vegetarian and non - vegetarians.
They have 2 seating options one on the inside and the other on the outside overlooking the arabian sea. Being a pleasant winter night we really enjoyed sitting outside.
The ambience gives you a feel of being in a Middle Eastern Souk.
We ordered:
Turkish Delight- this mocktail was an amazing combination of Rose & Pomegranate, however, the highlight of the drink was its presentation.
Istanbul Sunset: A combination of orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry and a hint of date syrup. It was very nice.
Signature Sundried Tomato hummus - This was listed as one of their signature dishes so decided to try it and we enjoyed the rich and creamy texture of the hummus.
It was served with mini Pita breads, the pita bread was a huge let down. It seemed more like a dinner roll and even that was not soft.
Maffy's Crispy Turkish Nachos - Nachos topped with corn, roasted bell peppers, onions, olives, beans with spiced labneh, tzatziki, red and green salsa was very nice.
Pide, Paneer - The hand stretched Turkish Pizza paneer, bell peppers, onions and baharat spice topped with cheese. The dish was very nice and we recommend the same.
Qubuli - An Afghan rice with chickpeas, onions, yoghurt and nuts was served with the moroccon sauce. It also had a grilled paneer. The rice was delicious and we absolutely loved the dish (Highly Recommended)
Baklava Lollipops - Phyllo pastry filled with dry fruits studded with pistachios and almonds and served as lollipops. We quite liked it.
The service was awesome and we would like to thank Mr Jamie for the same and making sure we had a good time.
The prices are also quite reasonable.
Will surely visit again to try the other vegetarian options.

Mediterranean cuisine has become my favorite as the recipes pack flavours and cooking methods that are traditional. Maffys is one that has inspired cooking, it adds a touch of Indian to this cuisine to give the best for Indian palate.
The place is situated so beautifully on the sea side of Gateway of India, next to Taj Mahal Palace hotel. It has nice outdoor setup as well as some good fine dine setup indoor.
During this beautiful weather of Mumbai we chose to dine outside, our table overlooking the calm sea.
So we ordered the best from the new menu and Pawan who manages the outlet guided us with everything.
We first ordered the drumsticks that are slow cooked and spiced with sumac, olive oil,
some indian spices and served with nice tangy sauces of pomergranate, curd, mango. Wow so
juicy and soft drumsticks that the flesh is falling of the bone. Totally outstanding start for the meal.
NExt up was the famous Rotisserie Chicken, we do get Rotiserie here in Mumbai but thats
not the authentic one. Here it is made as authentic as possible, Whole chicken is
marinated with spices and then slow cooked for a good 7 hours and then served with nice strawberry yogurt, lettuce, pomegranate coleslaw. Trust me there is not a drop of oil in
entire process, all the oil is only because of spices, marination. We at the whole chicken between two but did not ev
en feel overstuffed. Thats how the fresh, healthy and soft chicken it is.
Main course was Roasted Nuts, Tomato creamy Persian Chicken gravy served with saffron
rice. Oh wow this one is totally delicious fare, it is rich creamy gravy with soft chicken pieces and the saffron rice rich with aroma, fragrance, nuts goes so well with this curry.
Dessert : There are all famous tradtional desserts offered in the menu. Baklava being most popular. We chose the Umm Ali, it is basically a Bread pudding thats smoked on oawkwood, topped with nice berry compote to balance out sweet and tangy taste.
So far we had almost a good amount of chicken but did not feel overstuffed because the preparation is totally healthy, no oil. WE are totally amazed with the fine cuisine,fine food served and the service offered here.

I visited to this beautiful place located at colaba in the premises of sea palace hotel near beach side. Talking about interiors nicely done keeping in mind the theme of Arabic designs playing Arabic music in background but one thing din’t like much was disturbing neighbours they were very loud.
My experience for food was also okay...
Server got their newly launch dishes which was chef’s recommendation:
1. Sundried tomato Hummus - Hummus was made perfect it had proper taste and pieces of sundried tomatoes but mini pita bread served with it was very chewy.
2. Batata hara - It was good in taste served with fried croutons.
3. Turkish delight was good - highly recommended
4. Turkish halwa drink was okay in taste - not recommended because it won’t suit your palate it will taste more like spoiled milk.
5. Saffron rice with lentil was really good nice aromatic flavour, I would recommend to order this dish.
6. Chocolate shawarma - Crepe was thick over filled with chocolate and less cream served with chocolate ice cream because of it was too chocolatey. II suggested them to make thin size crepe with less chocolate served and serve with vanilla ice cream.
Overall food was okay and service was too fast we din’t finished our starter and other dish was ready on our table same with main course not over they got the dessert also

Maffy's from Colaba brings to you a strong Middle Eastern cuisine experience which is all about flavors across Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Morocco, Tehran, and Jeddah. You are truly going to love the setup which overlooks the Arabian sea and within a short distance stands the beautiful Gateway of India and the iconic Taj Hotel from Mumbai. Marble flooring with intricate geometric inlays inspired by lattice screens that recall Islamic art, fez cap lamps that hang from the ceiling, live shawarma and Turkish ice cream counter, and a tasteful explosion of colors are carefully selected to enhance your experience.
The restaurant has been divided into three zones – one indoor and two alfresco – and as you enter Maffy’s, you are welcomed by the alfresco spaces. The two areas to the front of the hotel building give you a view of the sea and the Gateway of India. Maffy's a classic place situated just next to Radio club- Colaba. Special thanks to Pawan who recommended us the best dishes here. They have played well with the mix of Arabic and Turkish cuisine with their inhouse spices. A pretty good place for dinner. The food is really delicious, but the sea view is not all that great. But definitely worth the visit since the food was good.
Gets you the feel of authenticity when you enter the restaurant decorated with middle eastern art. The food looks good. The service is wonderful and quite fast. Although I wouldn’t say the same for the taste. Ordered a range of items. Manakeesh, pide, boyta kabab and salmon Biriyani. The Biriyani and pide was really good. Should try that out. Maffy's the uber gorgeous sea facing Mediterrenean restaurant is located at Colaba near Taj Hotel .The ambiance of the alfresco & Ac section leave you awestruck with its fine detailing .
The Moroccan geometrical design on the ceiling leaves you mesmerised . Hand of Fatima which is considered to be a good luck charm adore the walls here .The comfortable sofa seating is in soothing teal colour & guess what the hanging lights are shaped as Fezcaps .Whats interesting is the asymetrical contemporary crockery in ceramic & glass having muted soft hues which are a treat to the eyes .They have a tiny bar decorated with bright colourful bottles .The walls are filled with modern handmade prints , artistic mirrors , fancy wall art ceramic round plates which adds to the entire surreal experience .Not to forget the flooring which has an optical illusion design .
They have constant melodious Turkish music playing in the background which elevates the entire dining experience .

An Arabian themed restaurant with outdoor and indoor seatings and live sports screening! The place Is well maintained and the staff (all uniformed in Arabian theme) are well trained and versed with the menu. The food is slightly delayed but it’s because that’s made fresh so waiting here would actually bear you good fruits!

Sheesh tauk-(Recommended) Super soft chicken in tandoori served with a variety of hummus and salads and presented lavishly!
Mutton tikki -(Recommended) crisp fried pita bread sandwiching soft mutton tikkis is totally relishing.
Mutton khebsa rice -(Recommended) The Most attentif version of Khebsa you can have here! It’s tender juicy lamb served in skewers with rice and gravy!

What a delightful experience it was being here to try the Arabic Cuisine! Absolutely loved the vibe this place had to offer, right from the ambience, music to the food. We tried their za'atar chicken roll and harrisa lamb keema which were absolutely delicious to start with, that gave us the glimpse of the authenticity of the cuisine that was very well offered here. A chilled, smoky Turkish Delights was just we needed for the weekend and as suggested by Vaibhav this surely did make our evening!
Coming to mains, we had the droolworthy roasted nuts & tomato creamy persian chicken gravy along with garlic naan. This is something one must not miss here ever. To end with the dinner, we had saffron & almond chocolate crepe shawarma and definitely there could have not been any other way to end our dinner time.

Visited Maffy's for dinner with friends. We had Chicken Shish Taouk and Peri Peri Chicken with Hummus & Pita Bread. Along with Cardamom & Rose Hot Chocolate and Almond milk & Turkish halwa in drinks. Till Now everything was going perfect
Then We moved on mains and desserts where we ordered for Lamb shank which was served and presented greatly. In Desserts we had Chocolate Crepe which includes loadness of almonds and chocolate.
Overall we had wonderful experience here, there live sports screening was going on which didn't made us bore between ordering of dishes. Definitely visit this place if you are planning to take someone for romantic dinner with sea view.

Maffys, located next to Radio club. Serves one of the vest of the middle eastern cusine. The menu is beautiful designed and truly amazed to see beautiful vegterian options. The ambiance both outside and inside excellent. Interiors truly reminded us of morrocon bistro. The outside section has a lovely view of the sea.
The walls, Ceiling, Lamps , Crockery and uniform overall give you a voyage of Souks of middle East.

We called for
Turkish Nachos, a very different take on regular Nachos. Using the different Dips
Tzatziki, guacamole and Charred corns with Sumac Spiced labneh & Red green Salsa, the dish had a lovely spice punch.
A very well presented dish, portion size also really good.
Veg Kefta, One of the best Chargrilled dish we had recently. Minced veggies with Cottage cheese & Ras El Hanout spice, found in morroco. Beautiful texture, and full of flavour. The touch of Ras El Hanout, added the spice punch as it had a blend of different spices together. Recommended.
For the Mains, we called for the Iranian Saffron Baked Stew, for us this was the Dish of the day. A rice preperation with lentils and crispy filo chips on side. Had a lovely spice ( yet sutle) with chick peas. The rice had a lovely aroma with some roasted nuts.
Overall, The food and Flavors offered at Maffys , truly takes to the culinary delights of Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt.

Maffy’s is a lovely restaurant situated on the ground floor of Sea Palace hotel right next to Taj Hotel near Gateway of India.
It has vibrant interior with a very coz vibe and it serves super yummy middle eastern food. 😋😋😋 I ordered Chicken Hummus, Levantine Chicken Pide and Chicken Tagine for main course (swipe right to see all pictures) and I must say the tagine was to die for which is basically a slow cooked chicken with chickpeas in a sauce served with rice.

Maffys ..is a middle eastern restaurant facing the sea near gateway if India.
Levantine cuisine is my favorite!
Hummus is where heart is….on recommendations of the chef we ordered a Smokey cauliflower hummus which was so beautifully plated and was very tasty too but had a bit of mushy texture to it thus if compared to the original hummus that they served on side was a total winner for me as it was so creamy and authentic with the right punch of tahini in it.
Ahhh the best was Babaganoush , couldn’t stop taking the other piece of the small pita breads that they served and scoop out that dip with it as it was sooo tasty.
The dips are a killer here
The next we had was from the hot sharing plates that was Maffys Bahraini potato chap that had a filling of potato, spinach and feta cheese which was good on flavour. This is a fried dish.
Then came the halloumi cheese Manakeesh which is the traditional Levantine pizza which was thoroughly enjoyed by Aarav who loves any sort of pizza with olives in it and the cheese on top was so melting and distinction taste so so delectable.
We had The Green Tagine that is cooked in earthenware. The saffron flavoured rice served with a plum tomato saucy curry that had mushrooms, zucchini, broccoli and much more was totally amazing and it had an amalgamation of so many flavours was so authentic yet simple.
To end a heavy meal and cut all the savory we had ordering desserts was a no brainer.This time on the verge of experimenting with some new stuff and not Kuantan or something to do with lotus biscuits I ordered the saffron baked yogurt whose playing was super appealing to the eye,it had a caramel brittle and nuts with it, was so airy,creamy,light and had that little Indian touch and not too sweet and thus I totally loved it since I’m a big fan of flavored yogurts.
Not only that but also we had the black sesame ice cream which was majorly made up of white sesame seeds but nevertheless tasted very earthy and has small pieces of praline chikki to it and was really a new addition to my ice cream recommendations and I ended up loving this too.
The mocktails are fantastic too. Do try the one with rose and the one with mango date syrup.

We love middle eastern cuisine and we stumbled upon Maffy's whilst searching on Zomato. It's located on the ground floor of Sea Palace Hotel, at the end of the Gateway of India road.
Maffy's has an outdoor and indoor seating. While outdoor would have been a nice view during sunset, it wasn't a great idea for dinner. We headed indoors where we were comfortable in an air-conditioned room. Moroccan-like lanterns hung from the ceiling while the roof was plastered with a blue middle eastern-themed wallpaper. They stick true to their theme with everything having an influence of the Middle East. The paintings on the wall are of various countries like Turkey, Egypt, Israel etc.
Being a Middle Eastern restaurant, they obviously don't sell alcohol. They have a variety of mocktails though. You are given a HEAVY menu filled with equally heavy food items. While you might not understand most of the names on the menu, there's a description underneath to help you with it.
We ordered the Pulled Chicken Shish Taouk Hummus which came with the traditional Hummus and pulled chicken at the center. The Pita breads were cute circular pieces which completed the perfect starter. We were also recommended the Char Grilled Rubiyan which are Grilled jumbo prawns cooked to perfection and absolutely succulent. It's a Maffy's specialty for a reason! For drinks we ordered a Green Apple Mojito and a Spicy Guava which were the right amount of sweet and sour. For main course, we ordered a Chicken Tagine which is a traditional Turkish dish that comes in a ceramic container with a broad base and a conical lid. The same container is used to cook the dish. The chicken was a burst of delicious flavours of different spices and condiments served on a bed of saffron rice. We were so stuffed with all this food that we unfortunately didn't have space for dessert. However, we will definitely keep space for dessert for our next visit.
Overall, good service, great food and marvelous interiors! Our RFR Tip would be to go ahead and order their specialty, Char Grilled Rubiyan with your eyes closed.

Levantine chicken Pide - Turkish pizza. The toppings where good but the crust...that I liked the most. Crispy and buttery and fresh
Egyptian Beyati kabab- mildly spiced kababs wrapped in bread
Black lemon baby chicken- it took a little time to reach this dish ( talking about eating) so it got a little cold but it was still moist and juicy on the inside
Riyadh kabsa rice- this was good too but I found the rice slightly undercooked

Went to Maffy's to celebrate a dear friends birthday! Booked the table on Zomato Online. While booking, they ask you the occasion. Then while taking feedback too, they ask the birthdate. Still nothing was done as such.
Now coming to food, We ordered 2 varieties of Hummus, a Labneh and A Paneer dish! With exception to Labneh, which was actually thick glob of sweetened sour curd,everything else was really yummy and nicely made. I think there is still a scope of improvement, but they are nearly there.
We also tried their Rose flavoured water and thought it was a great idea! Guava cocktail was strictly OK!
Ambience wise, the location is nicely situated right infront of the Sea and interiors were also nicely done.
Will probably come back again to try out a few more dishes and see if they have upped their game!
Maffy's, an unbelievably well done up restaurant, situated in South Bombay has one of the best Middle Eastern food that I've tried. We started our lunch with their signature Smoked Hummus with Spicy Shrimps, Five Herb Hummus followed by Egyptian Beyti Kebab (The Char Grills section), Mumbai Tawa Gosht Pide (hand stretched Turkish pizza) and Labneh with Za'atar (Manakeesh). The food was undoubtedly great! For dessert we had Umm Ali and Maffy's Greek Baked Yoghurt which filled not only our stomach but out heart as well. They have some really delicious mocktails as well!
Overall we had a great lunch! 5/5 for the food and ambience and of course, the wonderful staff.
This is a restaurant I can skip the next time. I am not saying that the food isn't great or the ambience. But it's just that the food is decent enough of you want to try some Lebanese cuisine. There are better restaurants in Mumbai to try hummus. But the jumbo prawns were damn juicy and the almond crusted chicken pocket too. Turkish coffee tasted like a simple black coffee with some cardamom flavoured water.
Overall, the restaurant is a must one time visit but the hospitality and welcoming nature of the staff can be improved.
