For every family gathering, China garden is the ideal place for us. We often visit here on any occasion. The menu is interesting and they offer many options for us to choose from. The dish that I often have here is chilly chicken and chicken burnt garlic rice. The simplicity of the food is what I prefer.
Had gone there 4 months ago. Now going again tonite to celebrate a birthday.last time starters were sumptuous as also the main course both in chicken. Wanted to try the prawns which shall be done today.Lets see if quantity of prawns and size is sufficient,as most restaurants except buffets are stingy and afraid to satisfy the guests.hope China garden doesn't disappoint us tonite. Will edit this review tonite.
Always been a China Garden fan since quite long now. Fabulous Chinese food totally worth the price. Pepper chicken is a must try appetizer.
One of our Favourite Asian Places in town! From their starters to their main course to even their desserts, we love the flavour that they serve. One should definitely try their Burnt Garlic Rice, Teppan Soba, Corn Cream, Wantons and Kung Pao Potato.
China garden is good option to visit if you are looking for chinese or sea food.
Its located 15th road of khar.
They have starter to main course to dessert also.
Must try Pattaya Suek Cham.
Excellent food. Just as good as the one at Kemps Corner. The set menu is very good value for money especially. The quality of the meats whether it be the prawns, fish, lamb or chicken is fresh and the preparations are all delectable. The traditional way to end the meal with the vanilla ice cream n honey noodles is perfect. 👌👌
If you’re craving for authentic Chinese food in Mumbai , then China Garden is one of the few places you can go to . They serve excellent food which is very consistent every time I’ve been here , service has been top notched specially William and the ambience is too good .
The must haves here are
Chau Chu Chicken / Prawns
Pepper Chicken
RDX Chicken ( Off the menu and not for the faint hearted ... it’s spicy as hell )
Black Olive Chicken
Hakka Chicken
Kung Pao Potatoes
Crispy Thread Paneer
Lhasa Fish
Corn Cream
Sapo Chicken / Paneer
Traditional Fried Rice Veg / Egg or Chicken
Teppan Soba Noodles Veg / Chicken
Honey Noodles w Vanilla/ ButterScotch Ice Cream
Chocolate Mousse
I vouch for this place for the ambience and the food . Do Not Give this restaurant a miss under any circumstances .
This is pocket friendly restaurant where you can find good variety of asian food. First time visited here and find it value for money.
Had Kung Pao Potato and Sweet Corn Soup.
Soup was average but i loved Kung Pao Potato.
One of my friend loves Asian food, so we often end up trying an Asian meal at restaurants like China garden. This place offers good Asian food. We tried corn on toast, Pattaya Suek Cham, & Korean Fried rice & Chocolate Mousse is to die for.
Not much suitable for vegetarians like me, but it’s a must try place. I would rate this 4/5.
China Garden is like my second home! It’s like eating comfort food that touches your soul! The food is so satisfyingly delicious. I’m really fond of the onion pancakes, fried bread buns, Mongolian chicken, crispy pepper chicken and the list goes on and on......
Their managers William and Preetam always make sure that the service is TOP NOTCH!
For a quiet Saturday evening, I ordered in. I'm glad I did.
I ordered Meat Teppan Soba Noodles and Crispy Duck with Baby Bok Choy.
The noodles were cooked perfectly, was flavourful and the chef did a great job with infusing the flavour of meat and vegetables into the noodles, it kept me wanting for more!
The crispy duck is my favourite as it was fatty, crispy and delectable. The bok choy was cooked well and the sauce used was amazing as well.
Their portion sizes are quite big and is enough for 2-3 people.
It's a little pricy but totally worth your money. It will be better to experience the food in the restaurant but the food still tastes amazing when ordered in.
China Garden restrorent is best for Chinese food lover....
He is known for Chinese dhishes....
It is provides yummy food soup etc ..
It is located In Khar West...
GOOD FOOD but will make a hole in your Pocket.
We had been here for lunch. The food was tasty and was good for the tummy.
FOOD - 4* (Tasty but Expensive)
Ambience - 3* (Not up to the price tag)

Recommended for Indian Chineese food lovers. Good place to hangout with family.
Well all i can say that its a good place for a family dinner...ambience and interiors are artistic...service is above par... food is excellent...especially the presentation. As it is evident from the name , you can visit if u are a chinese lover.!!
Located in the Gabana Building in Khar, China Garden is the second outlet in Mumbai of the iconic Chinese eatery. For the better part of 1990's, China Garden was the one and place to go to for best in Chinese.
Even today they have kept their taste quite authentic.
Totally worth the price
Good place to visit and have chinese food. Chicken Lolly Pop is soo tasty, try once.
Ambience & Decor- 4*

A royal treat. Loved it. Family restaurant with great ambience. Would suggest to try out corn on toast in starters. It's one of the best dishes here
There seafood is to die for. I ordered their seafood soup, on request they serve you a smaller portion too. There was prawns, crabs, fish, squids all in one portion of soup. The soup was a clear soup but the broth was beaming with the seafood flavour. But do ask the chef to go light on the salt. Then the honey glazed pork and butter garlic prawns were just perfect. The traditional hakka noodles was just the right kind of yummy. Was not a big fan of the sapo chicken... it was a weird red over spicy sauce.Their fried rice though simple was outrightly delicious. This place serves the freshest seafood... just perfect!!!The staff is polite and the best thing about this place is that it isn't very expensive.
Very good place to have authentic chinese food. Ambience is very nice and calm. Some of the great dishes are wonton, chicken spring roll and momos
My first lunch out in Mumbai, and if all the food is this good, I have come to the right place. We ordered the ginger chicken stir fry app (the special of the day I think) and the pepper chicken appetizers. The pepper chicken was crispy and hot. The chicken ginger stir fry might have been my favorite part of the whole meal. Although there were 3 of us, since we ordered 2 appetizers, we decided to stick with only two entrees. The teppanyaki with chicken and the Schezwan noodles with prawn for the main courses. We had smelled the sizzling teppanyaki go by and knew we had to try it. Surprisingly, the teppanyaki ended up being our least favorite dish, lacking the complex and layered flavors that the rest of the food had. I think I will have to go back during this visit to Mumbai for sure. I should add that for the excellent, attentive service, white table cloth dining experience, and delicious food, the prices seemed very reasonable. In total, it was about $35 USD.
I had given up on this place long back. But the other day had some guests and we called for food from here. The food was absolutely amazing.
The Veg noodles or the rice, both were equally amazing. The prawns were fabulous. So simple yet so flavourful. The veg Manchurian excellent.
The prawn noodles were fab too. Best part was the quantity was huge and the prices were very reasonable. I would say it was far far superior to Melting pot or 5 spice which are the popular places in Khar/juhu. People have the perception like me, that China Garden is a mighty expy place. But believe me it was total VFM
A must try!!
Finally here !!
They serve some really lip smacking chinese cuisine 💯✔
Huge space with good decor.
Service is quick.
They have options for portions 》small & large.
This is definitely a very wise idea.
The quantity of the food served is huge.
Food :
▪▪▪▪
Hot & sour soup - tastes just like the name. Delicious. Adjust your spice levels.recommended👍👌
Steamed vegetable wontons - we called for a small portion. Trust me it was filling. Tastes yum. Recommended 👍👌
Had also called for a small portion of rice with gravy ( can't get the name - fuk chu rice i guess )
Suggested by the staff. It was superb. Recommended 👍👌
Overall, a good experience for us.
Craving authentic chinese - you know where to go ✔✔✔✔✔
Coming back soon 💯
Fantastic! Portions are huge! The taste is excellent as well. Prices are on the higher side though. Home delivery option also available via Swiggy.
I had visited this place with my husband... Must try for an authentic oriental and fine dine experience..food is bit expensive but very tasty..
Its "Indian Chinese" at its best. Lip smacking, Can do with the some more light. The round tables (not very common now a days) are a delight ! not very common now a days. #Legacy#Chinese
Had visited the place on a Thursday over lunch. The food was just amazing, authentic Chinese and didn’t disappoint. The fried chicken wontons could have been better with some more chicken in it. The schezwan Korean fried rice was just too delicious. The hospitality was great. The lobby area of this restaurant seemed pretty dead, not very lively may be because it was Day time. Will definitely visit again to try the wide menu.
The taste was really good but the portion size was less

China Garden is one of the authentic and oldest Chinese Restaurant. I remember growing up on corn cream and Teppan Yaki chicken. Now even my son loves these. The town branch has a more classier feel than the Khar Branch. Very Good
I ordered today from here.food was very good. Tamo yum tum soup was very nice. Fried rice was also good.delivery was late. But all food was awesome.

Loved the food. Almost like an authentic chinese. Very fast serving and polite servers. The quality and quantity of food both are at par. If u like authentic chinese the this place is must try. We were confused between 5spice and China gardern, but we decided china gardern, i think we made a right choice. It may put some small holes in ur pocket and some dishes are expensive. As we ordered black peper chicken which had a different name ina menu which almost cost around 600. But if u prefer quality food then this is the place.
Yes, it is place for someone who loves chinese cuisine. I am done with Chinese food #personalthought. Easy to spot. It needs more light inside, felt it was too dark for a restaurant ;P
Staff and service is as expected (good). Must have Jin Chicken for starters. We also had noodles and rice.
Food: Tasty
Price: ₹₹₹
Ambience: As i said (low light) - OK

Very good place for VFM Chinese food combined with an above average casual dining experience. They can do a better job with their khimchi though. Quite a few options for dumplings lovers as well.
What we ordered:
Hakka Chilli Chicken
Stir Fried Chicken (Must try)
Chicken Fried Rice
Sapo Chicken
korean rice was really awsm..even the onion pancakes n pepper paneer were delicious..ohh the mun chow soup..really activated my tastebuds..the ambience is also very pleasant..staff is really efficient..had the best Chinese cuisine ever ❤
A nice place with lots of positivity..
Situated in the happening part of Mumbai, Khar..
Huge space..
Nice sitting arrangements..
Traditional, modern - mixed & matched..
Interiors are Oriental..
Each & every corner is filled with positivity..
Jasmin tea is refreshing..
Iced lemon tea is cooling..
Pepper chicken as starter - perfect start of an Oriental meal..
In main course I tried, Veg Hakka noodles, which is a bit oily..
Hunan chicken is good..
Service is bit slow..
Though during lunchtime, weekday, restaurant was not much crowded..
Portion of chicken pieces are not much in the dishes I tried..
Its one of the oldest and best chinese restaurant we have grown up. The best part is the taste remains intact and there is no change at all in the quality. We ordered food home and we were surprised at the taste and the quality of food delivered loved it.... relish our memories growing up
I haven't tried a lot of food here but while looking for a sweet and sour sauce option came across their duck dish and quite enjoyed it. It has become one of my monthly indulgences now...
China Garden has become my new go to Chinese restaurant. I have so far come here twice and intend to come here many more times.
The food is delectable, the service is on point and the restaurant has an amazing themed atmosphere. In my two visits so far I have tried - The BBQ wanton soup, the sweet corn crab soup, butter garlic squids, bar BBQ spare ribs, sweet and sour duck with pineapple, chicken Malaysian satay, kung pao chicken, chicken in black bean sauce, prawn Thai curry, prawn with red pepper and many more appetising dishes.
This place is a must go if you're a Chinese food lover.
Visited here to have some noodles and momos..
Order hakka noodles and fried onion rings..
Food was good, service can be better..
Must try fried onion rings..
I'm so glad China Garden has finally started delivering with Zomato! Lovely food, quick service. My food was delivered in 30 mins and the quality was maintained, the food was still warm when it arrived.
China garden is a best place to dine out. The best place to eat Chinese food. The quality of food is par excellence and there is different flavour in every dish. The service is quite good and the ambience is great.
It's always about the corn cream no one makes it better n Kung pao potatoes , steam chicken wontons ,their appetisers never disappoint! Their caramel custard is something to end my meal !
Very good food though we had to wait a while even after doing reservations. Ambience is also nice . Service is bit slow . They have to be more efficient while booking reservations.
Friends, family or a family of friends, this place has some great food, nice ambience & a decent bar..
Been here near 3 times in as many months & love the idea that its best to ask for recommendations from their expansive menu..
All that comes before you is yum..
Just one submission - Its just too cold mostly.. :o)
Perfect fine dinning place to go with family, friends or even associates. Great service, superb ambience and one of the tastiest chinese restaurants in town. The chicken wantons and teppan yaki beef was quite delicious. However the chow chu prawns are simply amazing and a must have here.
CG never disappoints. A regular at CG Kemps Corner, Met former colleagues for dinner last night. Location could not have been better. Super food. Fab service. Great decor. Love CG even 30 years since first meal there.
I used to frequent this place with a school friend who I moved to mumbai with after school.
The best Chinese food I had ever tasted! Such good yumness in every flavour coming from every dish in equal preciseness.
This is where I learned what real kimchi is and what's it's importance in a Chinese meal.
Verdict: must go
China garden promises you a perfect classy ambience, good food and a warm service.
V had vegetarian food...but it did not disappoint either...v ordered kung pao potato, wantons ....soup nd main course....though have been here before and had nonveg food which is truly delicious!!! Overall China garden is definitely worth a visit

Visit Day Date n Time:- Sunday 16-Oct-16, 10.15 p.m.
"China Garden" one of the best dine in place with family and friends located in Khar which serves delicious chinese food. Though this place serves good food it's not that occupied and it's easy to get table without any reservation.
Ambience of this place includes nicely decorated interior with asian art, dim lights and comfort seating which is quit soothing.
Been to this place few times in past couple of months and mostly for the main course and never actually had starters here. The menu contain wide range of options for Non-vegetarian and Vegetarian too. In addition to Chicken, Sea food and Lamb, this place serves Pork, Duck and Steak too.
We ordered Haka Mei Fan Noodles (Prawns), Kung Pao Chicken Gravy, Szechwan Soft Noodles, Hakka Noodles, Red Pepper Paneer, Chicken in Hot Garlic. Food here has perfect balance of sauce, fresh veggies and paneer or well cooked meat which is served in good portions.
Recommend:- Haka Mei Fan Noodles, Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken in Hot Garlic.
Service is good and service staff are very courteous which is an add on.
Plus Point:- Value for money place, Valet Parking and Less oily food.
Overall it was delightful experience as always.

I would rate them 10/5 if i could. One of the bessstt chinese food I have ever had. My favee among their food.. is Chinese green. Absolutely love it! . They even have really yumm desserts. And if you are ordering honey noodles and ice cream. Even if you order half.. the quantity is still a lot. Also they put a lot of honey on it . Becomes extra sweet. So if you want normall. You have to tell them not to put too much honey.
The place and ambience is also amazing. They have really interesting interior decoration..
This place serves one of the best Chinese cuisine which tastes so authentic that you will feel the real love for this cuisine.
Worth spending the grands on their delicious flavoured Chinese menu.
Loved the threaded paneer, schezwan noodles, fruit punch, wantons.
They really do justice to their restaurant title.
For all the Chinese lovers, you cannot miss this one!
This is a 5/5. I have got no qualms about this.
I really love this place. Whenever I go to Bandra, I make sure I visit this restaurant. Ambience is really nice and staff are very friendly. My favourites here are golden fried prawns, corn cream, pepper chicken. A dish called prawns wafer, though it's not available all time, they are nice too!
One of the legendary Chinese places in the city. Been established brands over a decade now. This place is a great place to sit down with family over a long meal and enjoy the orients flavours. Great place

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at China Garden. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. The teppenyaki was exquisite. The beef in it was very tender. The teppensoba dish look extremely inviting on the hot sizzling plate. The honey Sesame chicken also tasted great. The soft chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream is a must have. The big plate of vanilla ice cream with honey wonton noodles with extra honey was amazingly scrumptious. The manager Mr. Sharma really took care of some of the issues we had. Er go here quite often and I definitely recommend visiting this place.
Went to China Garden after years and it’s still exactly the same! They have maintained their consistency for years and it is the perfect comfort food! The highlight of the meal was definitely the cream corn- which is the softest and creamiest I’ve ever had. We tried a dry paneer dish in a marinated Thai sauce which had great flavours and is a must try. I however, did not love the manchow soup and steamed wontons. I feel they could have been better. In mains, we called for fried rice and chilli paneer in a gravy sauce which were really delicious and yum. For dessert we had the honey noodles with ice cream which is a classic and is always a good idea. The best part at China garden is that they have half portions options so that you can order more dishes. Even their half portions have a good quantity and is definitely value for money.
Food was good . We just had starters & Soup as we had to go out to another place . Later
Best and authentic Chinese food in Mumbai. Must try the pepper chicken and cream corn. There are many delicacy here. Often visited by celebrity and who's who of Mumbai. When I visited shewta bachan was there.
I'm giving 4 star because the crockery was an issue here. The forks theet are bend of all the fork. I request the owner to please replace the crockery as it gives a bad name to such a huge brand.
Food n service par excellence...however, the eaterie has become quite noisy nowadays..
Used to be quiet and peaceful years ago.
Great service as usual.
Food needs mo mention, we have all grown up eating here.
Vikram served us superbly and suggested perfect order quantity.
Mera fav food peper chicken and tumyum sup i just love it dry manchurian is also too good
Staff also good behavior
Best Manchow soup made here. Been coming to this restaurant last more than 25 years. They have maintained the quality and taste till date.
China Garden is a Chinese restaurant that is worth a visit. If you're new to this restaurant, I recommend starting with their corn cream and fried prawns, which are a must-try. The flavors are fantastic, and the ingredients are fresh. The corn cream has a rich and velvety texture, while the fried prawns are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. These two dishes alone will leave you wanting more.
While the service can be a bit slow at times, it is generally satisfactory. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they will make sure that you have an enjoyable dining experience.
For the main course, China Garden offers a range of Chinese dishes that are sure to satisfy your taste buds. Some of the more popular dishes include Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, and General Tso's Chicken. These dishes are the quintessential Chinese cuisine and are a great representation of the restaurant's authentic Chinese flavors.
In conclusion, China Garden is an amazing Chinese restaurant that is definitely worth checking out. With their corn cream and fried prawns as must-try dishes, and a range of Chinese cuisine staples to choose from, you're sure to have a great dining experience. Just be prepared for the possibility of slow service, but it's a small price to pay for delicious food
Nice place and the food is good for non Indian. Primer is little bit expensive
Try the Fried Wontons, Corn Cream & the Pan Fried Noodles in Hunan Sauce l
