Been here again..and I have a special connection to this place before lockdown l visited atleast once a month to enjoy my sea side view in garden or pool side view restaurant. I would spend one of my weekends here for the love of food scenic view and experience. I love the breakfast buffet and sumptuous dinner..prepared by them. Recently been there and got hands on my favorite Chinese cuisines and some sweets. There are many resorts in mumbai... but high tide is known for its quality. I plan to make an another weekend stay soon .... to enjoy the amazing dining experience as well.
A perfect place ti celebrate any occassion..we celebrated my fiances birthday there. What a beautiful view they have and yess this was a special waffle ice cream given to us written happy birthday.. Was not even told to do this, such a kind gesture they have.. I personally loved their cold cuts and yes pani puri counterššš
High Tide
If you are a seafood lover and especially mad about Prawns, Fish and Lobster trust me Koli Seafood Festival is the best place for you. The Resort near Aksa beach is a huge property. Their In-house restaurant High Tide is hosting Koli Seafood festival which is there till 28th March 2020 and only available on Saturday.
They have 5 different varieties of Thalis in this festival namely Stuffed Pomfret Thali, Prawns Thali, Surmai Fry Thali, Surami Gravy Thali and Lobster Thali. So, me and my partner chose Stuffed Pomfret Thali and Prawns Thali. Both the thalis were good. Solkadhi was disappointment.
Service was bit slow as per their standard.
Overall, if you love seafood and want to taste something different, then visit this place.
Food: 4/5
Ambience: 5/5
Service: 4/5
P.S: The review is strictly depending on my personal experience.
High Tide is one of the beautiful restuarant situated inside The Resort Property, Marve. I heard alot about this place and it's hospitality. Recently visited High Tide to experience their Koli Seafood festival.Ā
You can experience this festival on 7th, 14th, 21th and 28th of March i.e Saturdays of this month. The festival menu is curated in very simple, authentic and traditional manner. One can get experience to try authentic seafood thali's.Ā
I ordered for Prawns and Surmai seafood Thali. The Thali comes with Solkhadi, Prawns Masala/Surmai Masala, Seafood Special Curry, Bhakri, Rice and Onions. My Experience here about trying seafood thali was fabulous
Spent 3 nights at this resort earlier this month and it was a great stay! We paid for an upgrade to the oceanfront cabana, which was worth the price. The terr's views, calm to watch the sunset on our patio were highlights of the trip! The hotel restaurant was exceptional, not only because every meal we enjoyed had a variety of options and was flavorful but also because the prices were so reasonable . I'd imagine there's a bit more traffic during high seasons, but either way, we'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!
I had went for a lunch buffet at the high tide restraunt the resort..... since I went my with my son...he demanded for a pizza...and we ordered this roasted chicken pizza..as per my son's request..and it was yum..it had a thin freshly baked base with fresh toppings ..the quality was good enough for two.....u should definitely try this place
Friends last week I visited High Tide - The Resort for Dinner with family it's an complete buffet dinner with lots of variety of food being served you have soups, chats , veg , non veg food, and different types of salads .
The best part is it has huge place for luxury dining , greatest ever ambience , good polite staff perfect management. Well I was here on festival of Bhori food menu some delicious yummy and tasty chawl kheema , chicken kari , Dabbah Gost , Lagan seekh, mithas and much more an this festive last till 31st August so dont miss still time to check in an have a blast.
As my dinner was too happening it's your turn to catch the same.
Itās a wonderfully sophisticated restaurant at the resort, Malad. The place is really very well kept and the food is just fabulous. They have got a huge spread of vegans non vegetarian delicacies to devour. I was there especially for the bohri food fest and it was totally worth visiting. You will love their excellent buffet spread here which is rich is various salads, soups, desserts, chats, sweets, soft drinks, etc. Everything out here is perfect from the staff to chef itās a place worth visiting!
The Resort is having a Bohri Fest every Saturday for this month. Came to know through a friend so decided to visit this Saturday.
The Resort which is near Aksa Beach in Malad is a very huge property. They have a High Tide restaurant where there they have their Sunday Brunch, Lunch and Dinner Buffets. They also have a pool by the side for if you wana take a dip.
They have Dinner Buffet priced at 1550+taxes per person which includes the Bohri Fest food, breads, chaat counter, soups, salads, sides, appetizers, mocktail, veg and nonveg main course and desserts. It's really a huge sprrad and the amount justifies it.
The Bohri Fest is curated by a Chef/Blogger Umaima Abdulally. Every Saturday is a different menu and the Saturday we went, we had Golpani Bohri Dal Samosas, Keema Khichdi and Kalamra.
Golpani :
A refreshing drink made from jaggery and sabja seeds to cleanse the palette and start your meal.
Bohri Dal Samosas :
Usually, Bohri Samosas are made from Keema but they had the Keema Samosas last week and this time they had the veg samosa made from dal. The dal is cooked in mild spices and then smoked with charcoal to give a smoky flavor. It is then stuffed in samosa patti and deep fried. I lovef it. The dal was cooked vry well, it was not too oily and the mint and yogurt chutney servwd along with it went really well with the samosas.
Keema Khichdi :
A khichdi made with rice, mutton keema, birasta or fried onion, coriander and mint leaves, boiled egg pieces and potato pieces. I found it absolutely delicious. The keema was cooked well and the potato and egg went so well with it. It didn't need any kind of raita with it, it was perfect just the way it was.
Kalamra :
A delicious kheer made from yogurt and rice and served with pomegranate seeds on top. The rice was basmati and the taste came through. It was the perfect amount of sweetness.
Unfortunately, I couldn't try much of the High Tide menu. Just had some Steam Rice, Double Tadkewali Dal and Tariwale Aloo. They were immensely delicious, like home food.
I also tried the desserts - Rasmalai, Cheesecake and Chocolate Pudding. Loved everyone of them.
Such a good place with positive vibes to spend an evening with your family and friends. Very good hospitality, quick service and delicious food.
Please Note : The tentative menu for 31st August, Saturday, 7.30pm to 11.30pm will be Bohri Kaari Chawal and Kharak Halwa and/or one or two more items.
One can enjoy the Bohri food along with the High Tide Restaurant food which is curated by the executive Chef Sheriyar Rustom Dotivala.

A visit to the Aksa beach is incomplete without going to The Resort. Perfectly located, its pretty much adjacent to the beach, beautiful property, spacious and above all itās a suitable place to wind up after exploring Aksa. The food is also worth it. We reached at a time when the breakfast section just got closed and they were preparing for the lunch. They suggested us to try the combo menu which was actually a good deal. Veg/non vegetarian dish accompanied by rice/noodle. We were looking for something of that sort, a customised platter per person so we ordered 4 such combos and man they were bang on quantity, price and delicious.
Looking forward to try their buffets.
More till I explore a new place.
Bon Appetit!!
We had the best Thai curry & rice here. It was so good that the very next day I went along with another set of people that far for the same dish. This dish won my heart like nothing else did. I would any day go to this place when I am craving for Thai curry ā¤
Visited this restaurant for lunch on our stay to The Resort. The Ambiance is classic and decent with pool and beach view. One can definitely relax themselves while enjoying delicious meal. Loved the food. Everything we ordered was delicious
We ordered for, Chicken Roulade which was really yummy. The chicken breast stuffed with spinach and cheese was droolworthy...These were served along with mashed potatoes, veggies, herbed rice and mushroom sauce...really liked the mushroom sauce as well.
Chicken in hot garlic sauce and veg fried rice..these were delicious to have with good quantity.
Spaghetti alfredo- It has a creamy consistency and cheesy taste...really liked this one too.
Also, had breakfast buffet here which was amazing. Great variety and taste. The staff is good, service could be better but overall itās a good place to visit.
Keep an eye on the discount coupons offered by BookMyShow and Nearbuy.com. They are a steal. A Sunday brunch with a swim costs almost half the price.
The pool is amazingly big. Has goals on either side for pool games. The buffet spread was awesome. Starters are limited though. Ambience is fine and Service is decent.
But here is the shocker. After such an awesome day at The Resort, comes the restaurant manager and refuses to accept the inclusions of the BookMyShow booking coupon. After lots of arguments, he disgruntledly relents.

Superb Morning with the yummiest breakfast options

Coffee at itās best...
Must visit as itās a peaceful place with the most beautiful viewāØ
Ths staff here is extremely courteous i must say. The menu spread is good ! Food tastes nice. Overall i must say a wonderful place to dine in with family while on a relaxed mode. Special thanks to Giri & Mr Abhishek for taking soo good care of us. Special mention to the man behind the show. Mr Sanket for making us feel like home ! We will be back soon for sure and with many more people.
Their continental snacks collection is something to try for. Full marks for cooked chai. It just reminds you home made one. We gorged royally on bruschetta, garlic breads, fattosh salad. Very kids friendly
We happened to be staying at the Resort over the Diwali weekend so one night as we weren't too hungry, we decided to grab a light dinner. Though we only had soup, the chicken caesar salad and some dessert, whatever we ordered was great. They've got a massive buffet and if we were better eaters, we'd attempt it but maybe some other time. Two thumbs up and definitely would come again to try more options on the menu.
We went here with our kid. The service was good and the food was too good. We had prawns koliwada which was awesome. The stuffed mushrooms were melt in the mouth with the most tasty filling. The chicken spring rolls were too good. The fruit punch was yummy and a perfect accompaniment to the meal.

Excellent food... Too good buffet .. specially Sunday menu was awesome ...
Variety of deserts... N yummy too.... Loved my stay ...
Found it quite reasonable too... A must must visit..
Had dinner on a Friday night. The ambience was amazing (a noisy large group had been cordoned off to an inner table area to give other guests peace of mind - Appreciated). We had the option of a buffet as well but we didn't like the menu for the day.
What we ordered -
Tomato Soup with basil and chicken tikka for starters were simply amazing. So delicious.
Laziz Paneer and Murg Miloni in the main course were so well cooked that we ended up overeating. The quantity of each dish was above average too.
Cherry on the cake was Moong dal ka halwa. Many restaurants screw up this dish with excessive ghee or sweet but here, it was a nearly perfect blend.
The server was extremely polite and asked for our feedback on each dish on behalf of the chef.
Overall experience was Very Good. Total value for money!
Lovely hotel located on Aksa Beach in Mumbai. Itās is a good place for family outing to the beach followed by lunch or dinner. They have a lovely lunch buffet where I specially enjoyed the desserts. The buffet is reasonably priced and They extended a discount on new year day.
One of fine property by rahejas especially for beach lovers.
Have been a escape club member and often visit The Resort.
Sunday brunch inclusive of swimming is one of finest part with best of delicacies spread in veg options.
Had great time munching variety of food including mexican, italian, indian with more then 15 dessert to choose from.
Beach Boy Ahoy......
Very beautiful place with good food overall. A place where you can relax and cherish the yummy food followed by a good ambience, cleanliness and courteous staff
The resort is amazing placing to hang out, good ambience, room, garden, pool, but pool is small, and the food is amazing buffet is very good they have variety of tasty salads mind blowing, very good appearance of all dishes..chicken gravy was very tasty craamy and chicken was also fresh and soft, roti is also hot piping served, desert also very good and fresh muffins enjoy alot, even at our room we ordered chicken tikka biryani with raita and cucumber & caremel custard really good hot food...we enjoy the place but pool and jacuzzi, bath tub is better at Retreat..keep it upššš
The Resort High Tide - Relaxing and Peaceful Restaurant
The Resort is one of the oldest property almost 32years old located at Aksa Beach (Quite simple to locate) the pool side and Sea facing view is definitely the most stunning idea to go for a romantic date or family dinner.
Recently, they are hosting "Bohri Fest" on every Saturday between 7-11pm. The last day of fest is on 31st Aug. The menu is curated by home chef Mrs. Umaima. Some of the dishes which my friends tried was just lip-smacking
--Kheema Khicadi
-- Day Samosa with smoky flavor
--Golpaani
What I loved most here is that Hygiene and cleanliness was maintained everywhere.
Serve yourself yummy and scrumptious food with breathtaking view, best place to unwind and relax while one can enjoy good food.
Also, adjoining there is Upper Deck bar for all those who wanna enjoy some music and drinks.
Must visit if you are in Malad or somewhere nearby Aksa Beach and Feast all you can eat at the price of Rs 1550/- buffet plus taxes and enjoy the grandeur ambience.
Recommended!!
The restaurant is rather spacious and done up quite well. Food is laid out in a separate niche so tables are not laid out right next to the spread, which is a positive.
We'd gone for the dinner buffet. It was a fabulous spread. Most of the things were done very well.
The mocktails (Pina colada, mojito and fruit punch) were done right, not too sweet. The chat was very nice as the tarmarind chutney had the right balance of sweet & tangy flavours. The chicken stew, the lasooni palak, the chicken salad, the moving Dal halwa and the sweets were some of the other things that were splendid. The pastry was insipid though.
I always make it a point to visit this place whenever we came to this part of the city because I am so fond of the food here.
been visiting this place since I was kid. The beach view is amazing! But the food is not so good. Recently when I visited this place, the pasta was quite dry and the sauce was quite bland. They need to spice up their food.
So I was invited here for a friend's birthday party ,
The place was just like an imaginary world because the hall was so spacious with loud music , the buffet system , swimming pool.
The food provided in the buffet was hot, spicy and mouth watering.
The resort provides variety of food , like chat , Chinese , dessert as well !
The most best dish was Manchurian balls because of it's spicy and a bit of tangy taste.
The best part about buffet is ,It is never ending !
Great place for partying with huge group.
Created a lot of fabulous memories!
Dropped by this place on 2 consecutive nights...and this place has really pulled up their socks. The restaurant has been completely done up...looks really modern. Their a la carte menu is limited but has enuf choice to get u thru a meal.
Whats good bout this place;
Good portions.
Modern look n feel facing the pool n beach.
Everything is squeeky clean n brand new.
Chinese options.
Whats not good:
PRICE
Limited Menu.
The AI buffet is at some 1550 + taxes or summin...I didnt try it but the spread again looked limited but interesting to try! DEFINATELY THE BEST PLACE IN THE AREA.
Excelleny staff and ambience. Had my anniversary dinner which was made special by Sanket.. as he was off that day he ensured things were well organised as he delegated the responsibility to valerine... who made the moment for us for that evening... Thanks to all the staff.. food was awesome...
We were here for a night's stay and only had buffet breakfast apart from the room service the previous night. Had tandoori chicken in dinner and it was delicious. Buffet next day had a good spread , however could have been better in terms of preparation. The resort is good otherwise with direct access to the Aksa beach.
The restaurant is superb with a perfect swimming pool view. The ambience is classy. Food were delicious and yummy with lots of variety. The staff is very helpful. Must visit this hotel
The mixture of old legacy and luxuries is maintained till date. Food in the buffet is quit authentic but not so mouth watering. I will provide thumbs up for the deserts.
Beaches and brunches are old companions. Enjoying a well laid out delicious meal with the cool breeze caressing you and the sun atop, on a pleasant day, is a luxury which isnāt accessible to everyone. It gets even better when it is accompanied with rich and elegant delicacies. Resorts are the perfect places to enjoy this blissful unison. One such destination which serves as a perfect choice for enjoying your Sunday noon is The Resort, located at Aksa Beach.
Nyc plac amazing location amazing food lovd it ... Fun wid family n frnds...lil costly bt still worth it.....so do try this place wid family..
Beautiful & very unique view to catch up in place like Mumbai...
Nice food as expected from star hotel...
Very secluded location make this place very private and away from city buzz...
Kindly find attached photos for food and surrounding ambience...
The food was simply amazing and fresh. Everything right from the soup to the main course was mouth watering. Ā The hotel staff was extremely hospitable in serving the dishes.Ā
Even the rice was of extremely fine quality.Ā
Definitely a recommend for outing with family and friends.
A very calm n peacefull place to visit. Been there on weekday and just loved the place. Amazing service at the restaurant and loved the food. Would prefer to visit again for a weekend.

"Meals are better when they are eaten together."
Like most of us, for me a restaurant is all about the food and ambiance, and when you find one that's perfect in both, you know you'd end up frequenting it.
The Resort happens to be a plush property in and around Madh, and it stands up to the hype that surrounds it. We ended up going to High Tide, a restaurant in The Resort, and we're awestruck with the view. It looked over the pool and the beach.
We attended the Koli festival, and needless to say, this place is heaven for a sea food lover. We called for the pomfret thali and the Prawn thali, both of which magically combined the fish, coconut and had the right blend of spice. The prawns were the best I've had outside home. The price is a little steep when compared with other seafood thali places, but it's worth every dime.
The service could be bettered though. It took a while for them to get us a glass of water. Probably, on the third call for it, they managed.
Apart from that, I'd definitely recommend this place!
Overall rating : 3.5/5
Happy hogging!

Saturday Lunch The Resort Madh-Marve
It was a fun afternoon spent enjoying the beautiful view of the swimming pool overlooking the sea. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere and dug into a delicious buffet meal at the High Tide.
Enjoyed the mexican chicken soup and south Indian fried fish which was well spiced and beautifully cooked.
The mutton and eggs were cooked in a delicious thick grave and was enjoyable with butter roti's served hot at our table
Stuck to the peas pulav and Punjabi curry with loads of Salad.
Saved my appetite for the dessert. Mango mouse with a mixed fruit cake.
Priced at 1299/- per head its a great deal and value for money.
Later took a walk around the beautiful hotel that is located at the Aksa Beach and enjoyed on the swings. They have lazy hammocks too and Im surely gonna lie down in one the next time I visit.
Travelling and food always goes hand in hand. Wherever you go if the destination is beautiful but the food is average, you won't have a pleasant time. One of the reason why I am giving high rating to this place. One of the best hotel in that area is The resort. With their awesome service and customer satisfaction as their goal, the resort has earned alot of Good reviews.
The resort always gives importance to their customers and what they are eating. They always try to come up with innovative ideas to attract people from all over the world. This week they did something unique called as
"Koli Food festival" - Savour The Slice of Tradition Straight from A Koliās Kitchen
Steaming fresh catch from the Arabian Sea, slathered in an age-old traditional masala and garnished with oodles of Love. Enjoy this unique brunch with the native fisher folk of Mumbai In their style. Taste the original Koliwada Food. Catch the Koli Kulture at its finest with women dressed in their best traditional attire.
High Tide - Restaurant in this popular hotel serves delicious buffet for their customers but The ResortĀ offered threeĀ KoliĀ women a platform to showcase their cooking skills wherein, preparation ofĀ KoliĀ cuisines would be done at the property; even the spices are sourced from theĀ KoliĀ kitchen.
Food in detail -
With their regular buffet menu, High Tide was serving food made by koli people with their own catch. Something very unique and exciting.
1) Stuffed Pomfret Thali - Big stuffed Pomfret using traditional koli spices and bhakri. Unbelievable. I had koli food before so I have pretty clear idea about their spices and huge bhakri. One of the dish you will ever have. Best combination ever.
2) Prawns Thali -
Prawns served with thick gravy. In koli they call it masala prawns. Super tasty and good amount of spice. Not really spicy but you can have it with rice as well as roti.
3) Sol kadhi -
This is a famous drink from Maharashtra's Konkan and koli region and often had after a spicy fish curry and rice meal. It's really good for digestion too. Amazing stuff.

We were staying at the property. The restaurant serves buffet and a la carte. This review is for a la carte as well as buffet breakfast.Ā
The place has a certain charm because of vicinity to the pool and the beach beyond though chairs are a bit cluttered and lighting is low.Ā
The menu is pretty elaborate. A big turn off though is the service. There is perhaps a wait staff of two people for the entire restaurant. You have to constantly keep your hand up or shout to attract attention. And it gets real busy on the weekends. Even so, they are courteous and ask about food quality.Ā
The food itself was pretty good and tasty. Part of it was also perhaps because we had gone there with low expectations :) . The breakfast buffet spread was a bit disappointing though. Omelette didn't feel class and dosa was strictly ok. Variety too was spare.Ā
For the kind of food and service, the place is pretty expensive. Only go here if you are staying on the property.
I spent a weekend at The Resort recently and it turned out to be a much-needed break without even getting out of the city! We had our breakfast, lunch and dinner at High Tide and I was very happy with the spread all three times. It's not as grand and exhaustive as the buffets at some five star hotels but it's decent. And the food is really tasty.
The spread is predominantly Indian with a plethora of North Indian dishes and South Indian breakfast items. I was pleasantly surprised to see the baked goodies in the dessert counter. I wasn't impressed with their live counters - the sandwiches were terrible. But the omelettes at breakfast were really nice.
The restaurant also has the bar Upper Deck where I never ventured. The decor is excellent and I loved sitting at the tables by the windows overlooking the swimming pool. The nice part was that it wasn't too crowded to make it uncomfortable.
The salads are presented very nicely in portion-sized ladles - you might even get your kids to try out a few! I didn't fancy the soup much. The kadhi pakoda was excellent.
The paneer dishes were all right though the paneer could have been more fresh. At times, the gravies were not totally up to the mark. I'd say overall, this makes for a decent experience if you're staying at the resort but I'm not sure it's worth heading here just for a meal. A special mention to the ice-creams here though - they are SO delicious - perhaps the best I've had in Mumbai. And that makes it worth it I guess!
Come anniversary and weekend together one ought to have a memorable experience celebrating romance. So it was the day and a perfect weekend to dive into the ethereal romance and what better place can it be which exhibits a perfect romantic ambience surrounded with palm trees, flowers descending and laying on the ground, sea with enchanting sound of the waves and completely serene. Though in the city this place is far afield from the commotion of city life. The Resort overall is well managed with staff being polite and helpful. The food offered here is decent though not too overwhelming. Prices are high but courtesy the unperturbed and poised ambience its worth the price we pay.
Went to these places for lunch buffet. The view from the hotel is amazing beach view and pool in front of hotel. Coming to the food there should have more variety of dish as there charge high. The soup was ok and there was 7 vegetables sabji naan, roti, live phulka and starter included aloo crispy, dal tadka and rice. Live chat counter which we own have to prepare and in dessert gulab jamun, boondi and 4 types of icecream. Should visit if it suits your pocket.
I went at this place on today itself. The Resort is a beautiful restaurant.Ambience is also nice.Service was also prompt.Food was really tasty.I would like to suggest them to increase the variety in main course and in soup. Its a beach facing restaurant so we literally feel so romantic and peaceful at this place.Overall had a great time at this place.I would definitely like to stay at this place as it is just beautiful.
We go here quite often for a weekend getaway...the stay is good here so as the restaurant inside...the chinese food is great here and if ur too hungry try the buffet....its decent
Had office training for 2 days and tried everything (veg & non-veg) in the buffet spread. The buffet is exquisite with 5 course starting from salads, soups, fruits & chat counter, main course and deserts.
Chat counter is 'do it yourself' and I was surprised I could make it very easily & it was tasty, their ingredients to be applauded. Fruits were fresh.
Salads counter had veg & non-veg options with some seasonings and sauces to help with, but one would need good understanding of the taste each of it would create . Some assistance would have definitely made the experience beautiful at this counter.
Soups were good, not much to remember though.
Main course is lavish with 3 veg & 3 non-veg options in curries. Veg options are well prepared but non-veg curries were amazing.
They always have fish, chicken and egg options respectively. And I rate the fish as among the best you'll have anywhere in mumbai. The only and a big negative of the buffet spread is the phulka counter / naan / roti. Hot Naan and rotis have to be ordered to the waiters and take a very long time to reach (I finished my lunch & then they used to serve them) you while the phulka counter is always full so you end up eating only curries.
No complaints with Deserts as the mouuse and indian varieties are sumptuous.
The decor and ambience is beautiful overlooking the swimming pool and beach.
Recommendations to reach 5 star- have good music in the background, assistance should be provided in some counters like chat and salads, roti/ naan counter needs immediate improvement.
But i loved the place. Will visit again. :-)
Pleasant ambience.. Good food.. Good view of the sea... Price is on the higher side... If someone wants peace and spend sometime alone with loved one.. Recommended!
First of all the place and the resort is amazing.
Coming to the restaurant and food, I had a buffet dinner which was pretty good albiet slightly expensive.
They had Waldorf salad which was excellent, Pita bread and hummus was good, sprout salad was average. Moving from salad decided to try some soup and Spinach soup was excellent and refreshing
They had a make your own chat counter and I helped myself with some sev Puri which again was excellent, well done me.
They had a live pasta counter and tried some red sauce pasta and pasta was al dente and the sauce was brilliant with generous topping of veggies.
Moving to main course there were plenty of options, they had a live phulka counter with paneer makhani, methi kofta, parsley potato, veg velvet, daal, rice, peanut puloa etc etc. And BTW this is only vegetarian and huge spread for non veg. Truly spoilt for choices and loved it.
Moving on to dessert, strawberry mousse was avoidable, Gulab Jamun was good and so was fruit Rabdi.
Now moving on to the best part, I had this meal facing the beach and that just added to the whole experience.
Do visit the place.
Nice place
Good service
By the beach
Pool chairs
Laid back ambience, awesome for relaxing
Great view of the sea
Light background music
Organic spring water
Resort is a very good hotel with disciplined staff and best hospitality.
I have been member of resort and never had any bad experience with them.
The food quality is nice and well served.
Nice place to spend quality time with family n friends.
It was a beautiful place with beautiful food that was served. The pool side scenery was just awesome with the sea further behind. Ambience was pleasent - can't find such an environment at other places. I went in for a buffet. Hot and sour soup and about ten different types of salads, bhel, then there was pasta, 3 veggies, naan and phulka and then rice. The dessert was the best with hot brownie gajar ka halwa and chocolate ice cream which was so delicious that I had to have around 3 scoops. Many other things were served which I may have missed out. Overall its a must visit place.
The best thing abt the restaurant is the view...looking onto the swimming pool n sea.. that does not mean food is bad.. buffet is good..and I have liked that they have more veg options than non - veg... good place to spend your Sunday afternoon with family...
The view looking out onto the swimming pool and the palm-fringed sea beyond is a good enough reason to visit this place, especially in the monsoons. Nice place for chilled-out weekend lunch. The office gang landed here for a workshop so we sampled the buffet lunch. Good but not great food with a few innovative touches. Standard issue tomato soup and non-veg lamb broth. The salad counter was standard issue again with the usual - tomato, potato, sprouts and apple-mayo spread. not too many starter options - deep fried alu tikka was tasty enough. The main course had maa ki daal which was refreshing different - no overload of tomato puree. Kela kofta was the other standout dish on the menu besides veg cutlets, veg pulao, paneer, makhani veggies, methi chicken, egg masala and crispy (deep fried) fish. The phulka counter was a nice touch and a great, light alternate to the usual leathery naans. Gulab jamuns, chocolate ice-cream, fruit tart, fruit salad and an innovative beetroot halwa for dessert
Came for a weekend, the lunch spread was pretty good, six veg preparations, plenty of salad varieties and four non veg preparations. I liked the mutton preparation in palak, and fried chicken.. The desserts were also quite good with chocolate fudge, a fresh pineapple cake, ras malai and moong dal halwa. All this with a view of the beach is a perfect weekend lunch.
We were here for 5 days. While most people might actually go on to appreciate the food I felt the food was just simply decent nothing great. I just do not understand why they did not think of making at least 75% of their food to be low on gravy. The live counter had just one pan working and for breakfast when there are so many people they could hardly serve us all together. A clear problem where their management needs to think well on...
Most foods were too oily, so I simply used to be forced to have the cold cuts and some dry non veg food and some very few handpicked vegetable dishes. Sad.... Everyday so much oil OMG.... for 5 days... Most dishes used to have oil floating on top.
Found crispy fish not only very dry and without much of a distinct taste except the taste of the fish itself but also raw in the middle and so I had to pin point it and though the food got changed and made for me but the food on the spread stayed like that....
The sauces near salad counter had no name on it... I had to literally guess it which made the whole idea of having to choose the salad options to be made to one's own choice a total flop.
The Brinjal dishes were the rare exception made to a perfect blend every time they had something or the other on that option.
The Bengali fish curry was a disaster. I mean the fish was something which does not go with the gravy and the potato which went into it was the slenderly cut potato pieces you get at places like KFC inside a gravy. I mean whats happened to people. As a Bengali I wanted to shout at them and the gravy was anything but that of Bengali style.
The non veg option was too little and most of the time the fishes were of such a type that it does not deserve to be a part of a spread. They should also give the name of the fish along. The other two also used to be gravy too and that too runny gravy and full of bones. I mean what the hell happened to boneless, dry, and pan fried stuff?
The Chinese had strange taste of sauces as if they were made of simply bottled sauces and the pastas were something which would make people feel strange.
The desserts were equally bad a choice, they would be hard or too sweet.
So why did I still give it a 3.5? They say all is well that ends well and the chicken roast in the last day dinner though the only edible Non Veg dish bowled us over... Not the regular roast taste that you would associate but it was definitely good.
Fantastic Buffet....nicely spread menu for a la carte. One of the best prawn preparation I have had at this place. Nice pool side location.
Weekend at The Resort had an enchantingly Goan feel to it. I wish to review the Sunday buffet breakfast at High Tide. Our seat reserved along the periphery of the glass French windows offered a fantastic view of the aggressive waves of the Arabian Sea lashing on Aksa beach. Heavy downpour added to the zing on our plates. Being a vegetarian, I skipped the non-veg section of fish cakes and chicken puffs.
Surpassing the international food counters of hash brown, baked beans, egg and toast and grilled tomatoes, I headed straight to the live counter of dosas - plain and masala - both were excellent with thin, crispy dosas encasing the flavorsome masala. Steaming, fluffy idlis and large crunchy medu vadas (a tad too oily) with coconut chutney and sambar tasted good. Pongal was disappointing - runny and lacked the zestful flavors of cumin and black pepper.
Chole-bature, Misal and Upma too made their presence felt on the buffet counters with their taste and ingredients. Having all this with a choice of sweet beverages like milkshake, fruit juice, coconut water besides the regular coffee/tea, keeps you charged.
The buffet spread starts with fresh fruits, curd, cereals, muesli, cold cuts and ends with muffins, slice cakes, doughnuts and more. The lavish spread is sure to see you through lunch time. Value for Money!
If you are looking for a classy place with beachy vibes, High Tide Restaurant at The Resort is a right place to go. Located in Aksa Beach, adorned with lush green forest, the restaurant is a perfect place for family dinner, dinner date, fun with family & friends. We attended "Khau Gali" event at the restaurant and had multiple cuisines such as
Pav Bhaji, Dabeli, Paneer Tikka, Idli Pizza, Chat, Kheema Paav, Masala Coke and many more at the restaurant. Must visit!
Excellent service by the staff. Special shout out to Arvind who went out of his way to make us comfortable and help us celebrate our daughters birthday.
We really appreciate the effort.
The food was good and well priced. The drinks are good too. Could add a bit more variety in drinks.
Reason for the five star rating is for Amazing sunset view and the cafe ambience. Otherwise the service is very slow and not up to the mark. They have very limited options for vegetarians and food is not really great and also overpriced.
A pleasant beach side restaurant. Fine and classy Ambience. The only problem is the place has many mosquitos and been on beach side has fishy smell on outside. Food is good but expensive.. overall nice place to chill and spend evening. The pool is cool.
