Situated a stone's throw away from Ghatkopar Rly Stn, and one of the oldest restaurants in the vicinity, Bharat Cafe ( formerly a south Indian speciality restaurant ) is a multi-Indian cuisine restaurant. This was my third visit to the restaurant, and I tried the same primary dishes which I had tried on previous occasions - Butter Sada Dosa and Butter Onion Uttapam. The former was as crispy as it always is, a medium portion coming out of the plate. Both were eaten with chutney, which may not be amongst the very best eaten in South Indian speciality hotels, still it was very good. For the latter, it was medium-soft textured, had a good quantity of onions in it and was medium-sized. Taste consistency has been maintained well. I also tried their special Mysore Pak Ice cream, this was my first try of this flavour. It was authentic, and one could feel the rich ghee flavour which is associated with Mysore Pak. The ice cream was available only in one size ( small ) and was decently priced. One thing in particular which I have liked in all these visits has been the efficiency of the staff. This cafe has over 40 tables on the ground floor itself, and the area is clearly the largest in the vicinity, yet there have never been delays in taking or bringing orders. And it is appreciating given that the cafe is busy and largely occupied throughout the day. Come in the evening hours ( and onwards ), and the queue just gets bigger. One thing which the restaurant may want to change is that the Wash basins don't have mirrors and are not separated by a curtain or any barrier, such that people who have seats close to it will have a direct view of it. There is an AC unit on the first floor. The cafe is more of a restaurant one can say given it's tables ( one type of table at medium height ) and has a comparatively less-fashionable background. I found the fans attractive through. Cards are accepted, and the cafe is pure vegetarian. On the weekends, it will take a long time to get a seat, and prior reservations cannot be made.

This is an appreciation review for the amazing pav bhaji I had at this cafe. This was so so so delicious, the bhaji was full of spices and flavour and the pavs had the right amount of butter into it. I find it better than Achija and other places that are famous for their pav bhaji. Please do visit this restaurant for their amazing pav bhaji and thank me later!! 🌝

Bharat Cafe is a popular restaurant in Ghatkopar West, Opposite Railway Station, which serves various Chinese, Fast Food, North Indian and South Indian food, etc. Price The Restaurant has 2 sections. AC and Non-AC. The Non-AC section is cheaper and the AC section is slightly expensive. The Punjabi gravies shall be expensive then the south Indian dishes but still reasonably priced as most south Indian Hotels. Meal for two shall not cost you more than Rs 500-600 which is not too expensive. Serve Timing For south Indian Dishes it might be around 5 minutes, For Punjabi dishes it might be around 15 minutes. There can be huge rushes during peak hours as the restaurant is in a crowded area and opposite to the railway station. Ambience As the restaurant is located opposite the railway station and it’s a quite busy area, and the streets are crowded throughout the day till about 10 PM in the night. The decor of this place is very simple. They have comfortable and spacious seating arrangement. Avoid getting own vehicle as you might not find parking space. It makes more sense to come here by a Public transport instead.

This place offers good food and with presentation inspite of being near to railway platform of ghatkopar local. Prices are on a little bit higher side considering the location. I ordered a veg cheese toast sandwich and it tasted good with a generous amount of stuffing. And presentation was something I didnt expect from a place at such location. Overall, a highly recommended place when in rush.

It's best when you are ghatkopar west near railway station. Though wheel chair might not have access to air-conditioned area. As it has narrow stairs to go upstairs.

I recently dined at this restaurant located just opposite Ghatkopar station and I was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The service staff were exceptionally professional, making our dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. The highlight of their breakfast menu has to be the paper masala dosa and medu vada with sambar. The dosa was perfectly crispy and the medu vada was soft and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the delicious sambar. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful vegetarian breakfast experience.

One of the most oldest restaurant in Ghatkopar. We were such frequent visitor to this place in CA classes days. Sometimes such popular places skipped getting reviewed and I realised this on my recent visit to this place few days back. So close to railway station and its really really easy to reach. It is always crowded, although one will easily find place here to sit as its quite spacious and also people usually take a quick bite and leave. Upstairs seating is also non-AC. Service is quick. Food is tasty. Its popular for its South Indian food. This place is purely for good food & Ambiance shouldn't be commented.
