Nara Thai is located right next to BKC One. The word Nara in Sanskrit means Thai woman. The brand Nara was actually founded by a group of thai women. This place is very beautiful. The staff here is very kind and attentive. As soon as you enter the restaurant you see some beautiful Violets. They serve some very authentic Thai cuisine.

Somebody said truly no need to go Thailand the taste of Thai is served here in Nara, I loved the food as well as the crocerry looks beautiful.
We ordered 4 items and each one was very tasty- Veg Phad Thai noodles, Crispy corn cakes, Braised tofu clay pot with mushroom in chilli and black bean sauce and Veg Khao Phad Samunprai rice ( blue pea rice).
Each item was well presented and authentic in taste. We enjoyed our meal.
Always wanted to go to a restaurant that served authentic Thai food but also ensured a great experience. Nara was this and more as we had the most awesome dishes and service par excellence. Some dishes that one must have - Pla Bombay Tord, Yum phak boong krob, hor mok pla dory and kang massaman je. A birthday to remember for a lifetime as my daughter finished every bit of mango and sticky rice with coconut milk

Nara Thai colaba is a pretty place with really good food. We had the chicken stir fry & deep fried soft shell crab as appetisers followed by the chicken red Thai curry & tenderloin stir fry with jasmine rice & rice noodles in sweet soy sauce. All really great. The tenderloin was a bit too spicy but nothing we couldn't handle. For dessert we had the excellent chocolate kaffir lime bar (the kaffir lime ice-cream is to die for) & the sakoo piek (coconut ice-cream with tapioca). Both are highly recommended. Service is prompt & polite & the ambience is calm & nice.
Excellent food & Hospitality!
Desserts are a must try
Loved the pad thai noodles and the crepe cake it was a trip to heaven loved it 😍
Was there for an event on 4-Feb. Must say was impressed with the service. The waiters kept asking us for our drinks , starters were passed around well.
For the main course we were seated upstairs and the service was prompt. Seeing I had finished my drink, Bhim asked me if I’d like another.
Liked the way we were served.
Keep it up team Nara Thai Colaba!
Loved the food here! We had prawn dumplings which were excellent. A stir fried tenderloin with chilli and garlic accompanied with crab fried rice was a delightful combination. Ended with a Nara coconut ice cream which came with loads of condiments to have it with. The food was delicious apart from being a visual treat.
The restaurant is spacious and very elegantly done up. Service was excellent as well (Mr. Bhim Singh served us). Would recommend that this restaurant should be tried out.
Thank you for the amazing foods and beverages; Iced Thai Tea (YAS), Chilly Tofu (YAS), Morning Glory (YAS), Chicken Kraprao Dumpling, Stir-fried Chicken with Chilly, Steam Pomfret (YAS), Sambal (WOAH), Jasmin Rice (YAS), Nara Coconut Ice Cream(YAS), Iced Cappucino, and Little Nom Yen. The service is excellence! Well, we really satisfied 😉 *ps: I took photos after we enjoyed the foods so muchhh 😋
Very friendly staff. Durgesh was super with his recommendations and the food was super
The food is great. Ambience is good, a lot variety in food and drinks. A great place to have Thai food.
Appetizers are good, a variety of cocktails with a lot of Thai mixes are something to try. Dessert which has a coconut icecream with condiments is a must try. The staff is super courteous and helpful. Specially our server Bhim was so good that all his suggestions were worth the try.
A great place overall.
Food-5/5
Ambience-5/5
Service- 5/5
Only downside is it gets a little noisy as the tables get packed.
We had ordered a vegetarian mock meat dumpling- 4/5
Spicy potato in Thai herbs(more like french fries)-4/5
Burnt garlic rice for mains-3. 5/5(it was a bit dry)
Mango mocktail-had a lot of ice and was average
For the dessert we had coconut ice cream with condiments- the ice cream was amazing but the condiments didn't go well with it.
The service is a bit slow.
But a great place!
What an amazing lunch. One of us was Veg, the other was non-veg. They customized every dish - example, they got 2 mock meat and 2 prawn dimsums (one portion is 4). For the mains, they got a Veg Khao Suey but got a bit of Chicken soup on the side. Definitely recommended if you're on this side of Mumbai.

We have been to Nara a couple times now, this time we had the Flavours of Nara menu which was quite good and decent portion size as well. We each had something different from the menu so got to taste everything almost. Priced well and would recommend it for sure. The Thai curry however doesn’t really live up to a great Thai curry which is what could be worked upon.
Food ✔️✔️✔️

Must def try Rak Bua Tord !!
Worth your time and money
💯
Read about the restaurant in Upper Crust magazine. That review brought us here. Great service, good ambience and most importantly tasty food that was so enjoyable. Definitely did justice to the review
We had been to Nara for lunch. The place is spacious and ambience is good.
We started with the starters
Yum Phak Boong Krob – Crispy fried betel leaves served with chilli dip. My new favourite dish for sure.
Rak Bua Tord – Crispy fried lotus root chips with sweet chilli sauce which was delicious
Khanom Nung Sai Kraprao Je – Veg dumpling with mock meat, which was blue in colour and flavourful.
My vegetarian main course was
Kang Kiew Warn – Green Curry with vegetables with rice was perfectly cooked and amazing
We ended our meal with Mango and sticky rice with coconut milk.
Will surely be visiting again for more delicious meal.
We were a group of four for dinner at Nara. Right from their service to the food, this place has reached the top spot in my list of Favourite Places! The locality is posh, so you would expect a similar ambience in the restaurant. Well Nara offers both options, a quiet private room or the happening bar area!
You are greeted by smiling faces and polite staff.
Coming to the food:
Their soups are wholesome, bursting with flavour. We tried the Tom kha & the Tom Yum! Both were lovely
Their starters are different! The staff took special care regarding food allergies!
We ordered a lot of chicken starters & vegetarian main course. Also we got to know that most of their ingredients are sourced from Thailand! Well when you taste the dishes you truly believe it!
I’ll surely return to this place!
Such a delightful experience. Loved the food and the ambience. We ordered , som tam , chicken in pandan leaves, chicken dimsums , prawn pancakes, lotus stem in honey chilli, chicken in chilly sauce, khousey , butterfly pea rice and prawn green curry. Authentic taste and impeccable service. It’s totally our favorite new haunt for Thai food. #sncapproved #foodnblogger
The lunch at Nara was a very good experience. Service is good. Food was delicious. Food was served quite fast. Portion size is good.
Firstly I feel bad that I couldn’t click a single photo to post as the food was so freaking delicious that I forgot everything else. Nara is heaven for everyone who loves authentic Thai food. From the starters to the desserts every dish is yummy. The ambience is soothing and the service was quick. A must visit
Colaba outlet is super amazing.
All the staff were very kind, warm and helpful at the same time. Don't remember all the names but jyoti(Receptionist) and apam(who attendes us) and all the staff were super cute!!!
Really had an amazing experience, had to write about colaba outlet💝💝
A very good place to be at for a decent Thai meal. Loved the prawns in yellow curry sauce, butterfly pea rice, pad thai and prawn pancakes and tea panna cotta. Definitely worth a visit.
I had an amazing time in Nara Thai at BKC and at Colaba. The staff was polite enough to accommodate us in the private dining area as we we more than 10 people. The food was excellent specially the Thai Curry Rice and the chocolate crepe cake.
An amazing cuisine served. The staff is very friendly and the service is pretty amazing. The ambience is super cool and the food was great... definately worth visiting one more time.
Great new flavours, fab thai ice tea, super service from Mr. Mahipal! The soft shell crab, prawn green curry, chicken satay, beef in chilli garlic, was absolutely superb! Actually everything was great apart from the Kaffir Lime Chocolate dessert which was the only OK thing we ate!
The food was super, Thai with a yum twist and I’ve had plenty. Mahipal stood out as a server. In fact service great
The entire range of food and drinks menu worked well. We especially loved the green Thai curry and purple rice combination. Paired very well with the butterfly pea cocktail. The tofu satay and momos were great in the starters
Thai flavours of galangal, lemon grass, kafir lime etc were beautifully infused in all d dishes without being overpowering . Other ingredients like coconut , garam masala & other spices which are staples in Indian cuisine are differently used to create Thai flavours. Kafir lime icecream too was a surprisingly happy flavour.
Service needs to be attentive & prompt. Also the reataurant gets too noisy & loud.
Loved it. I highly recommend this to people... couldn’t try the beverages.. soon we will be trying that too.
Great service! Ashish was really helpful with suggesting dishes. The ambiance is great and the food is exceptionally delicious.
Can't get over the meal we had last night! Lovely ambience and an even more courteous staff win you over even before the food is served.
We ordered quite a bit, mostly with recommendations and the food did not disappoint!
The Tom Kha and Tom Yum soup were both amazing.
Appetizers - potato salad, mock meat dimsums, corn cakes and crispy lotus stem with water chestnut stuffing. Can't put my finger on what was the best cause they were all so good.
Mains - Butterfly pea (blue) rice which went brilliant with the recommended red Thai curry. Another great reco were the chilli basil noodles, definitely not to be missed.
Desserts - choc and kaffir cake. Highlight here though was the kaffir lime ice cream served with it (we ordered extra scoops).
Definitely visiting again to try the other stuff!
Came here for my birthday lunch and all I can say is that I over-ate and loved every bit of it!
Nara serves some really delicious Thai food, which has so many flavours! Oh and also, the VARIETY!
Started off with a beverage - Shake Mai Tai (4/5) and then proceeded to the appetizers.
Their Chicken Skewers (Satay Gai) and Prawn Dimsums were exceptional and their dips were delicious!
Do not miss their Omelette with Crab, because it was the highlight of my entire meal! Definitely 5/5 for that!
Had their Pork belly in oyster sauce which was AMAZE, 4/5 for that one!
Their Jasmine Brown Rice and Phad Thai were so authentic, that it left me wanting for more. 4/5 for both!
For dessert, we had the Panna Cotta with Thai Tea and that left me speechless. Truly, what a dessert! Made my day.
Must say, this was the best lunch that I had in a long, long while. Thank you, Nara! Special mention to the staff, who were ever so courteous. :)

Located at Colaba this is the perfect place for anyone looking for authentic Thai food in Mumbai. Service was excellent with very reasonable prices and decent sized portions. Tom Yum soup was one of the best I have ever had. Missed out on the drinks and desserts this time but will surely revisit in the future!
It’s very difficult to find good Thai food in Mumbai and this place ya aced it and how!!
Can’t stop praising how great their service was.
The ambience is very cozy yet neat and gives a very fine dine feel. (Perfect for a date night 😉)
The food is to die for! Although it was just me and my husband so couldn’t try too many dishes but I am definitely planning on visiting with my family later this month!
DONOT miss the cocktails!!
Great Ambience, wonderful service, Mukesh the manager of the place is fantastic, the food is heavenly so is the setting. Kudos sobo was missing such restaurant for quite some time. NARA fills the void, go there for delectable and authentic Thai made to perfection. The entire menu is carefully designed to suit your desire for a great Thai meal.
Keep it up
one of the.best place for Thai food at colaba very
nice food and amazing flavor of Thai food..and
really happy by the services .dinesh was an excellent executive serving us he helped us with all design dishes..
I've been wanting to visit Nara for a while now and I am so so glad I was finally able to do so this past week. Let me begin my saying, the staff is most hospitable, knowledgable and polite, so it really was a pleasure to eat here.
My sister and I are vegetarian. We decided to order just one of the appetizers and dive straight in.
1. Vegetarian Kraprao Dumplings: perfect porcelain skins and excellent filling, please please go for these gorgeous blue beauties!
2. Spicy potatoes in Thai Herbs: absolutely amazing, would definitely recommend. You cant go wrong with fried potatoes, can you?
3. Waterchestnuts and cashews in Sambal: I'm not a huge fan of Sambal in particular but even I couldn't help myself with this dish. I love a bit of crunch on a dish, and this was all of that. Light to eat, but quite filling.
4. Khao Phad Kratiem: mixed vegetable fried rice with toasted garlic, so well made!
5. Phad Kee Mao: Stir fried noodles with basil and chilli oil. This one was one of my favourites. While I initially thought I'd order a gravy to go as base with it, I realized soon this was quite tasty in itself!
I recommend ordering the mains together so that you can have a lovely amalgamation of flavours and textures. I love that their portion sizes aren't heavy so that we could easily finish all of it without having to choose between a rice and noodle main.
6. Coconut Ice Cream with condiments: I inhale icecream like oxygen, so this was the perfect YUM overly
-coconutty end to a great meal. Avoid if you don't like a strong coconut base. The condiments served like corn, sticky rice, and green noodles were unique and FUN!
Can't wait to be back soon to try a lot more food, delighted with my Friday night meal!
Nara Thai is one of the few restaurants in Mumbai dedicated to Thai cuisine and it has launched it's second outlet in Colaba after one in BKC.
Nara is Thailand's one of the popular restaurants which is now welcomed by Mumbai.
You can mildly inebriate yourself in their wide range of drinks menu.
Yum Phak Boong Krob is crispy fried beetle leaves served with tangy and chilly lime dip which makes it truly delicious and is famed for it's unique texture.
Nara was in my wishlist which turned into reality today 30th July 2019 as I walked in along with my best friend when Mumbai soaked in rain and made the surroundings more pleasant and romantic !
Well groomed and courteous staff welcomed us with Namaste at the entrance which was good enough to express Thai culture & traditional values.
Ashtonished with the creation of wonderful ambience which made us to fall in love with the place.
Understand Nara Thai Cuisine was founded in 2003 by owner Narawadee Srikarnchana (Yuki) and a group of female entrepreneurs with the aim to let diners experience Thai culture from authentic Thai cuisine. The restaurant name “Nara” comes from the Sanskrit language which means “Thai woman” and Nara Colaba justifies the name in all senses.
It will even pisses God off if you walk by the colour Purple in a place like Nara and don't notice it !!! Yes, colour purple is just awesome and it 'dominates' the place.
We have comfortably settled down at one of the cozy corners of mezzanine floor and at the other corner of the place, kitty party gang was already in full action !
Insightful Server Saiket Sen attended us with menu with colourful pictures of dishes and after
'researching' the menu, we finally given order for Tom Yum Chicken soup, Butterfly Pea Rice and chicken noodle in chilli basil after Saiket confirming for it's authenticity.
Waiting period was well utilised by in clicking pictures which continued till the food was served on table in a nice & light purple ceramic plates.
Mr. Tom's Yum Chicken soup was delicious till the last sip. Spicy noodle was my second best dish and rice dish was different in its own class. All three dishes were just perfect for two moderate eaters.
Manager Mukesh introduced himself and enquired about our fondness for their dishes which was certainly good in all senses.
The kitty party of socialite gang got over just before we could quietly complete our lunch. I wonder whether it's possible for the ladies to have kitty party without much halla gulla ? Point to ponder ! Hehehe
Thanks to Mukesh, Saiket and Nara Kitchen team for the feel good factor of dining in style in such a lovely restaurant at our choosen budget ! After all, money matters...lol.
Note for Nara Management : Hope Rs. 112/-collected as 10% service charges in bill goes to Saiket as our tips for his attentive service.
See you guys next time. Sa-wat-dii....
One of the nicest place to have Thai food in Bombay.
Really happy by the services. Mr. Dinesh was an excellent executive serving us. He helped us with deciding dishes and served us with extreme humility. Must visit for all the South Bombay foodies
If you like all things purple, you’ll definitely fall in love with “Nara” at Colaba. The crockery they use is in a vibrant purple colour, making each dish look all the more appetising. Since it’s situated in a British Colonial building, the restaurant emits elegant vibes. The decor of the place is quite classy in itself. We tried the following:
Gai Yang: The chicken skewers were tender and had a Thai flavour to it. It was spiced to perfection!
Khao Soy: A wholesome bowl of yellow curry served with noodles is a perfect dish on those rainy days when you just want some comfort food!
Chocolate Crepe Cake: They are known for their mouth watering crepe cakes, so we had to try it out. The crepes were light and fluffy. The chocolate cream went brilliantly well. We loved the added berries and berry sauce, it elevated the dish a notch more.
Definitely a place worth visiting for all the Thai food lovers out there!
The Best Thai restaurant in town , the location decor and the food was excellent, ....they got lots of vegetarian options which is good ,Tried the
1. Fired rice cake - 8 /10
2. Crispy fried lotus Root - 10 /10 🌶
3. Veg pad Thai - 9 / 10
4. Fried rice Veg - 9/10
5. Crispy corn 🌽 cake - 9/ 10
6. Dessert:- chocolate and kaffir lime bar - 10/ 10
Had a satisfying meal and the service was excellent surely will recommend family and friend 👍👍
Located in the colonial themed buildings of Colaba, this place has a mansion kind of a feel with tall domed walls and rustic interiors.
The purple theme prevades the entire location and even in their food menu with the purple themed cocktails with butterfly pea tea & classic purple rice!
We ordered the much renowned Crispy Fried Beetle leaves, crispy fried lotus root chips in sweet chili sauce and the mock meat dumplings which all exceeded our expectations especially the mock meat dumplings are a must try!
For main course we ordered the classic Green Thai Curry with butterfly pea fried rice which was amazing in itself individually as well.
The place is much famed for their crepe cakes and we couldn't leave without trying their desserts! Totally recommend their chocolate crepe cake or the kaffir like chocolate cake if you want something with a Thai touch in your dessert!
Ambience -5/5
Service -5/5
Food -4.5/5
On the pocket-$$$$
Loved the ambience, the music and the rustic decor. The food was simply outstanding, the taste and the flavours just perfect. The only little issue I had was the quantity. It was nice that smaller the quantities the more varieties that you get to try, BUT a little more would definitely be better. Would surely recommend a visit and most surely will be coming back.
Such a beautiful experience. The food was absolutely fantastic! The John Dory in Banana Leaves, Stir Fried Veggies and the Chilli Basil Noodles are a must try!
This Colaba outlet of Nara has a beautiful rustic feel to it. Dimly lit with mirrors adorning the walls, the place is perfect for a family fine dine, dinner dates as well as for a sit down dinner with group of friends. For appetizers we tried
Crispy fried betel leaf - which is their recommended dish.
Crispy fried lotus stem with sweet chilly sauce
Both the dishes were very well made. Crispy fried lotus stem tasted excellent!
For mains we ordered vegetarian Phad Thai with sweet tamarind sauce & stir fried rice with veggies. The portions serves one. Phad Thai was amazing and one the best I have had.
For dessert the obvious choice was mango sticky rice with coconut milk, and the dish tasted as good as it looked.
The staff is extremely courteous, very knowledgeable. One of the staff members Mark actually took time out to brief us in detail about the mocktails they serve. I am definitely visiting this place again. Being a vegetarian I was blown away by the variety on their menu. Best Thai food in town!
Great Food.. I didn’t enjoy the BKC outlet fir some reason.
But the vibe and food was great here
We had a whole lot of starters
Spicy tofu
Lotus stem root
Fried spinach with spicy sauce
Stir fried potatoes
Papaya Salad
Morning glory
Thai curry
Blue rice ( was ok)
mango crepecake
All was awesome
Beautiful place and yumm food. If you are craving for actual thai food.. After coming back from thailand.. Thn this is the place. Super tasty food. And very good service. They do not have baby high chair though. Plz invest in high chair. High chairs make mums comfortable while eating. Nways, thumbs up to everything we had. Highly recommend.
The scarcity of Thai-only restaurants in the city is ironic considering the flavours are tailor-made for the Indian palate. So @narathaiindia is a welcome addition, just by virtue of its focus entirely on this one, under-represented cuisine from the Orient. In the brightly lit space with bevelled mirrors, it’s the colour purple that leaps out. There is an honest, organic feel to the interiors, giving off signs of a space that will allow the food to speak for itself.
.
we tried,
Tahu Song Khurg - Betel leaf and tofu in pandan cup.
Khanum Jeeb Je- vegetarian mock meat kraprao dumplings. A must try dish, one of the best dumplings we have tried so far.
Raw Bow Todnacim Wan- crispy lotus root chips in sweet chilli sauce
Butterfly pea iced tea
Excellent food, great ambience and very centrally located. Must try for all thai cuisine fans.
Must eats pad thai noodles, stir fry chicken in sambal sauce, stir fry rice with green Thai curry and veggies.
As I write this review for Nara, I must say that I loved the food all thanks to the waiter because we ordered based on his recommendations.
What we ate —
Starters:
Yam Pla Tord (crispy Bombay duck)
Khanom Jeeb Gang Phad Goong (spicy red curry prawn dumplings)
Main course:
Khao Hom Mali (steamed jasmine rice)
Kang Ka Ree (Chicken yellow curry)
Dessert:
Thai Tea Pannacotta
Service: 9/10
Food: 9/10
Ambiance: 9/10
Outstanding food - must try place for all Thai food lovers. Be it appetiser or main course, the quality and taste is excellent. Another high point is the friendly staff and service.
Welcoming this gem of a place to the ‘My City and My Neighbourhood’!!!! So convenient. So good. 😍
Nara Thai is surely one of those places for all the die hard thai food lovers. Mouthwatering cuisine 💯😋
Finally I did manage to get the time to visit their most newest outlet in Colaba. South Mumbai.

This place should be visiting by each and everyone who’s a fan of Thai cuisine. Good luck Nara Thai.
Lovely ambience and lovely hospitality ⭐️💯
You’re really outdone yourself. Can’t wait to keep coming again and again. My new favourite place! ♡
Super meal last night at Nara,Colaba. For starters we ordered tenderloin with fresh herbs, calamari and John Dory in banana leaves. Each of the starters were outstanding. Very good in taste and texture. Main course was the chicken green curry. Simply superb. Dessert was mango with sticky rice. Overall an excellent meal. Super service and ambience
Superb service !! Awesome food !! They have 22 Jain options too ! 😍 mark and Dinesh our servers were very prompt and polite !! Loved it !! Will definitely go again !!
Ask for MARK Aand DINESH !! ✌🏻
My first visit and simply amazing place for thai cuisine, what ever i ordered was served decent. Ambience was good and the service was exceptional by our server Sumit who was kind and helpful. I see people there are working hard to make an experience that last long.
The service food and ambience were really good and welcoming. Our server Sumit was exceptionally kind and helpful. He really made our dining experience better.
One of my favourite fine dine places. Artistically designed interiors. Simply Fab Thai cuisine. Delicious Thai inspired infusions...Crispy Lotus Stem, Green Thai Curry with Butterfly Pea Rice is a must try... Super sinful Thai crafted desserts. The staff is articulate, well-trained and offers warm impeccable service. Sean Mukesh Ashish Mark Sumit and team ensure a sumptuous experience.
Second visit to a Nara restaurant and first to their Colaba branch.
The 5 star rating is purely for the food and only for the vegetarian options! Authentic Thai food we love. I always rate Thai restaurants based on their Raw Papaya Salad and their Thai Green Curry. Nara simply nailed it!
Only area for improvement is the veg appetizers as most are fried.
Staff and service is outstanding
Ambience is ok...
Aug 2019,
Today is my birthday, but I am living in Mumbai by myself, so I felt sme loneliness. And to make me cheerful, I visited my favorite fancy restaurant, Nara. Then, once they came to know my birthday, all of the staffs gathered to my table and kindly sang "Happy Birthday" song for me! In addition, tasty chocolate cake was gifted. Of course, all of Thai dishes were fine, as usual. But, what I really love most, is their hospitality❣️
May 2019, Food is nice. I have just come back from Bangkok, but quality may be higher than there. The receptionist, Jyoti, is cute, friendly and professional, and the waiter, Ashish, was friendly, too, and his advice was quite accurate.
Incredibly friendly staff & swift service. A lot of great options for seafood enthusiasts. Loved the Thai crab topped omelette & mango crepe cake.
Food is fab!! Whatever we ordered was absolutely amazing. The coconut ice cream dessert is a must try. The young tender coconut water takes you back to Thailand. Staff here is really friendly too! Just make sure when you book your table you’re booking for the colaba branch and not bkc. There is a technical glitch in their system they’re trying to fix.
Bon Apetite!!
Daughter hosted us for a "mothers day" lunch today at this newly opened restaurant.
The decor, staff, menu and above all the food was 5 Star ++.
Nara has been our family favourite for long due to fresh ingredients, flavour and aroma of Thai cuisine as well superb ambience and service.
Yesterday however we were surely disappointed. Grilled Chicken in Thai Herbs had an unpalatable smell and taste, Prawn was missing in Spicy Raw Papaya Salad with Prawns. We complained to Swiggy who promptly reversed money billed for both items.
Nara has a good reputation. It needs to be more vigilant. Photo of bill B000003151 attached. Prawn missing from papaya noodle. Unpalatable smell and taste from grilled chicken.
Very happy and looking to return soon.
So I decided to take the folks to dinner last evening and using my good offices managed to get a table for 3 at 9pm.
Greeted by the valet who was swift and polite in seeing our exit from the car to the restaurant.
Welcomed with a Sawadee Kha by the gracious hostesses and led to our table. The restaurant sure was buzzing
Food: we ordered the crispy lotus stem with a chicken and prawn dip. The mix of the crisp lotus stem and tangy dip set us in the mood to experience a gastronomic journey.
For mains we had the pork belly, the duck curry and Nara Thai Rice. The pork belly was tender and the spice levels perfect (had emphasised that we needed less spice). The duck succulent and the curry the perfect consistency. The rice was a harmonious blend and went well with the dishes ordered. All in all a satiating meal.
Coming to the most important part of the meal- dessert- ordered the mango crepe cake.... Tad disappointed with the texture. Was more like a mango and cream sandwich.
Atmosphere and vibe: This was a massive let down (the reason why I give 4 stars). Tables too close to each other, could hear conversations from the next table, needed to literally shout to speak to each other. I agree it's casual dining however if the management had worked on the acoustics would have been great.
Service: The manager Elroy was charming and helpful. The service a tad tardy- after all the restaurant was full and just opened hence expected.
Verdict- Will I go again? Yes however with friends and not with senior citizens as the noise levels were high....
All in all a gastronomic delight sans the hiccup of the noise. Sure this restaurant would do well and a welcome addition to South Bombay restaurant scene
Visited this place on its opening night 6th May 2019. The place is spacious and larger compared to the one at BKC. The staff was polite and welcoming. Most of the tables were occupied by 8:30-9. And I feel most of them were food bloggers.
We had the mandatory morning glory and broccoli & tofu dumpling for appetisers. Both of these were fantastic. Morning glory is one of my all time favourites and the dumplings tasted as good as it looked. The filling and the colours of the dumpling were spot on. We also had the papaya salad which was also fine, I’ve had better. The butterfly pea ice tea wasn’t that good. The burnt vegetable rice, the pad Thai noodles and the sticky rice tasted perfect. We did have a wider choice of desserts in this outlet. We had the chocolate crepe cake and the mango crepe cake. Both the desserts were excellent. Would recommend this place for its ambiance, service, location and food.
Mind lowing ambience and amazing food. Swift and efficient staff. From the menu, morning glory , Tom yum soup and fly pea rice were awesome. Will visit again Great going Nara. 👍🏻🤗
We had an amazing dining experience at Nara Thai! The crispy shrimp cakes with sweet chili dip were a delightful start - perfectly crispy and flavorful. The tom kha soup was rich and comforting, and the Pad Thai noodles were a definite highlight.
Nara is one of the best places in the city serving Thai food.
The food and service are outstanding.
I recently visited them for their weekend brunch which is on Saturday and Sunday priced at 1850+ per person.
On weekends they have set Thai lunch too.
The weekend brunch is fantastic with so many options to choose from.
All dishes come in small portions so if you have a good appetite, you can actually try all the dishes on the menu.
We loved the accompanying sauces too especially the one with tempura betel leaves and the tofu satay.
The raw mango salad, Tom yum soup, morning glory, mushroom and broccoli, Thai curries, betel leaf tempura, spicy rice noodles, water chestnut cashews in sambal sauce were my favorite.
They have two delicious desserts as well.
Overall a fantastic experience. Must try their weekend brunch.
Dont miss this perfect place for thai food.Your search ends for #thaifood @narathaicolaba is the place where you should be. A perfect match of luxury plus good food
We just ordered veg green thai curry and rice just loved the perfect meal. One of the best in town. Perfect for families dinners or date night
Nara thai food is awesome and fresh. The authentic Thai cuisine. Must try the sea bas chao soy . Ambiance feels so calm. Their hospitality was great, also shubham was quick, food was served hot and clean.
Must try.
Nara Thai: Well located in the heart of the city Mumbai at Colaba.
The space is defined by a warm and modern ambience inspired by a refined Thai architecture and a contemporary version.
This sprawling restaurant, adroitly merges Nara’s characteristic purple, with design elements of a Thai home and creates an ambience that exudes vintage charm, replete with a vibrancy that is hard-to-miss. The dedicated bar area with a marble bar counter and rattan bar stools, lounging sofas, is attractive.
The food menu offers an array of salads, spicy, sweet and sour curries, healthy stir-fry and much more. There are several new additions to this menu. Abundant vegetarian options here. The vegetarian food here is aromatic and comforting. The food is all about quality ingredients, comforting flavours and simple cooking techniques. Uplift your bar experience with international spirits, a selection of wines and Thai-inspired hand-crafted infusions like 'Sukho Thai'. 'Thai Tea Panna Cotta', for dessert, is a must try.
This place offers cost seating arrangement options.
The service staff is articulate, well-trained and offers impeccable service.
Food is excellent as always and our server shubham took extra care for our large group! Definitely recommend the grilled chicken and soft shell crab! Delish!
I visited here yesterday as it was our team dinner..
They have welcome us with the welcome drink such as Lime Soda and other 2 drinks I prefer the lime soda..
After they have Start serving the starters..Which includes some Cripsy Potatos with some sauces..and.the Chicken Chill Gravy..The Taste of both the starters was Quite Good..I love it.
As soon as we have done with the starters they serve is with some steam rice and the Thai curry which is green in colour..And it's NonVeg Thai Curry which includes chicken pieces..
Chicken is well cooked.. But the Gravy was too Sweet and it's almost Flavour like Coconut. As Coconut Milk may be probably used while cooking.
Overall Ambience was good.
But the Service was bit slow..Staff was very Polite..But there was something missing regarding the Service..It take much time to serve..as many of my friends were Vegetarian. They got the food but delayed..
Maybe it was bit expensive as we were for Team Dinner I won't knw about the actual pricing of the food..
Cheers..!! ❤️🎊💯
Upbeat place for Thai Food. Fix menu during lunch hours is great offering.
Great ambience, super cool music.
One of the best Thai food in Mumbai.
A lovely place for a date night over some lovely Thai food!
Food: They have set menus and there was one special set menu curated by Avinash Martins. The set menu had Pumpkin in xee xee spice soup, pomelo and grapefruit salad, satay in cacacona and byadagi chilli mushroom, cafreal & galangal wrapped chicken, mit ani miren rubbed in spices with eggplant, Thai inspired Caldin with sea bass and for dessert was Pandian infused coconut cream layered with biscuit crumble. The menu was nice and the portion sizes were good as well! The noodles felt like Indian Chinese noodles and few things weren’t great making the experience decent!
Ambience: Super lovely and cozy vibes! Perfect for dinner date. With that said the lighting was poor maybe because they were trying to get the romantic dinner vibe going!
PS: The set menu was ₹2499++ I couldn’t help myself comparing it to the set menu at Bombay canteen which is way better any day!
Excellent service - delicious food: papaya salad - veg dumplings- thai green curry- veg fried rice
Our host Lukaish was excellent
