Due to lots of work didn't carry tiffin for lunch so ordered The Mumbai Masala. They serves south Indian, fast food, north Indian Chinese. I love their food taste.
I've had food from this place a lot of time and it's never disappointing especially the dal khichdi you can also try pav bhaji, their full veg platter, Chole bhautre and manchurian

Possibly one of the best place to order food for the office goers. They are pretty handy when it comes to SOS. I love their Iconic dish - Dal Khichdi! Something very filling to your stomach and light to your pockets. Once ordered, it comes pretty much warm and feels like a homely dish. It's a very tasty dish to savour for during your lunch hours. It doesn't have a very elaborate sitting space, neither it has a very good ambience, but please do order food if you work around this place!

Perfect place for people who can't take lunch from home. The food is delicious and affordable. The thali for example is extremely tasty! Like all the restaurants in Fort, this one too offers almost of the desi cusines. Was my go to place all of last month!

I went to have breakfast and ordered South Indian Dishes - IDLI SAMBHAR and ONION UTTAPAM.
The food was fresh and tasty, with Sambhar being so tasty that I could not resist having 3 bowls of it.
Even the Lunch Thali is very reasonable, filling and the vegetables served are different every day, offering a variety to people who wish to visit them regularly

Nice restaurant for ordering Veg food. It's very reasonable and tasty also the quantity is good. I always order Schezwan Fried Rice it's awesome. Also the Pav Bhaji and Dal khichdi is nice.
The Mumbai Masala is situated in one of the by-lanes of Mumbai's main business area called Fort. The caricature painting of Mumbai life on the wall is one of the attractions of the place.
The wash basin also caught my eye as to how bollywood style can make a good funny decor. It had Salman Khan's picture with his Dabang Style Glasses 👓 which work's as Mirror's & written "Dhulai" as in (dhona) in hindi & (wash) in English.
Apart from the decor I spot an notice written 20 percent off to the Army, Navy & Airforce personnel by showing their IDs. I inquired about the concept as to know what the reason was or how it came into being. They simply said "out of respect for them" this is just a small token, a thank you gesture from our side.
Well I had an Onion & Tomato Uttapa it was the best I had, the Sambhar & Chutney was fresh & tasty. Had an good experience overall.

I really enjoyed eating at this restaurant because the food is really tasty and the staff are really friendly. I ordered the masala dosa and it was nice and crispy and the potatoes filling was really nice. The staff also offered extra sambar and chutney.
If you haven’t seen a humble, polite always smiling staff this place is a must visit.
Food is nice especially big thali, dal khichdi, pav bhaji and all dosas.
They deliver lunch box also.
The rates are quite reasonable for that area.
Came across this place when we were looking out for a place that will be little light on the pocket. We had mix veg and roti which was subtle on the palet. Dal tadka was warn and comforting.

Nice decent place for daily eaters . The pavbhaji is completely lovely. Dalkichdi, thali is too good and if you get a chance to have betroot vegetable than you are really lucky. Mushroom soup is one of my twice a week lunch menu . Tomato omlet is nice too ... in all an average place with really good and affordable food.

Spot Fort 001 restaurant while we were wandering near Fort area after embassy work. But the restaurant wasn't open yet. We were a week early (opening was on June 1st) and they had some sort of opening party with invitation only. The person there was kind enough to guide me to go to "The Mumbai Masala" restaurant which was 10 steps away, despite there were other restaurant which we noticed later.
We reached at 2:15pm and the restaurant was packed. Asked the person sitting on cash counter (which turned he was the owner) said it will take 10-15 mins. Doodles on the left wall telling story about Mumbai City and different mirror decor on the right wall caught my attention and then I spot a notice written "20% off for Army, Navy and Airforce personnel by showing their id's". I asked the owner about the concept he adopt for people in the Armed Force and he said don't we all should have respect for them? This is just a small token of thank you gesture. And then we decided, will wait even though we were hungry. We got the table after 20mins wait. There were AC and Non-AC seating and we choose Non-Ac seating because I want to see the Doodles closely and AC cubical space was crowded. The owner asked us to have idli sambhar first because its ready and it will take less than 5 mins to serve. He noticed we were starving :)

- Fresh Watermelon Juice
Dosas were crisp, soft and crunchy. Idli was soft. The sambhar and coconut chutney was fresh and tasty. The food cost is pocket friendly. Accepting PayTM as mode of payment as well.
The wash basin creative concept is wonderful, Bollywood style you can say. Salman Khan big picture with his Dabang style glasses which works as a mirror and written "Dhulai" in Hindi which means "Wash" in English. Table cleanliness part was average, need to look upon.

This small place in Fort area was hard to find but it was worth all the struggle especially when we were really hungry . The ambiance is not of a fancy restaurant but rather a very creative secret space. The seating arrangement and the caricatures on the walls give it a feel of a fun college canteen. And so does the pricing of the food items. We ordered dosa, fried idli and tea. And we could easily guess that everything is going to be super yum from the aroma of every dish - fresh and authentic, even the green chutney served on the side was delicious. The service was also great. We had a really great time hogging all the food without worrying about the bill.

Puri Bhaji - A bit Oily the Buri . Bhaji tasted Good. Correct masala.
Sada Dosa - sambhar a bit runny but Chutney was good.
Interiors have that Mumbai feel to it.

I used to go there daily because it was very close to my office. Best place to have hygienic lunch. I used to eat special thali on a daily basis. It is really worth the price and too filling. Apart from it pav bhaji is also worth a try.

Thali is good but i liked the chinese... tomato soup... soyabean masala not available... over all place is good for quick bite neat clean n good interirs and cteative wash basin n mirrors .. as name suggest its mumbai theme .. bollywood style. Located bang opposite Mahesh Lunch Home in Fort, this restaurant has great South Indian food and to-kill-for pav bhaji. The waiters are friendly and the dishes are delectable.
The craving for Pav Bhaji led us to the Mumbai Masala and we were aptly rewarded.

Pav Bhaji is to die for.. Very rarely you get good pav bhajis and this is one of those places... Juices also are fresh.. Cheap food but delicious.. A treat for veg eaters... The ambience also is great..

A week back when i left from my office was very hungry and randomly walked into this place had no idea about food quality they serve. After we ordered and food was placed in front of us it was delicious. A place is average but its taste was excellent and satisfying my needs.

Inspite of staying in Fort area I wasn't aware abt this place until a fellow zoman's (Rashna Irani) review made me take notice of it .. Being a Sunday night most places around stop serving South Indian after 7.30/8pm and since mommy was craving a utthapa I decided to give this place a shot
Ambience : called for home delivery
Service : the person who took my order sounded a bit rude but the delivery was bang on time .. The food arrived hot and well packed
Tomato onion utthapa : well made crisp pancake helped with a generous topping of veggies
Rava dosa : this turned out to be a bit chewy by the end of it but I can't blame them .. Rava dosa is always best enjoyed while dining in .. The chatni and sambar accompanied were perfect in taste and flavours though the samhbar was slightly watered down due the exhorbitant rates of pluses
I would deifinitely love to try the other dishes they have on offer and recommend this place to everyone for being absolute value for money
Ps : both items only costed me a mere 100 bucks which is a steal in today's taxing times

They have WiFi! However, the kindly gentleman at the counter told me that they don't provide the password during 12pm-3pm, their rush hour. Fair enough.

Located in one of the many lanes at Fort, TMM is another regular restaurant serving some good food at affordable rates for the daily office-going crowd. Love their quirky walls with funny characters and round-cut mirrors. They seem inspired by Bollywood, the best is the sink with Dabbang Salman Khan's goggles replaced by mirrors. They have both AC and non-AC sections. As is the case with most restaurants in Fort, one has to share tables during rush hours.
I had the Spring Dosa on my first visit here. It didn't have the usual noodles filling, but instead had cabbage, spring onions, carrots, peas and capsicum with spicy red chutney spread on the inside of the dosa. Good but not very great. Sambhar and chutney are average, quite watery.
On my second visit I tried their South Indian Thali and it was very nice. Priced equally with the Spring Dosa, I would anyday prefer the thali. Papad, pickle,three chapattis, potato sabji, dal, bhindi, patal bhaji, rice, dahi and one gulab jamun piece made up the thali. There was nothing that I didn't like! Even the dahi was perfect, neither sweet nor sour.
The next time I called for Idli, Medu Wada and Batata Wada. Idli was fresh and soft, medu wada crisp, batata wada huge and filling.
Triple Schezwan Noodles was my latest order here. It came with not-so-greasy, good-by-themselves noodles, Manchurian gravy that was average and crisp fried noodles.
Have heard a lot about their Pav Bhaji. Thats going to be next on my list!
We used to order from this place for lunch, but then me and my collegue finally decided to go and have food there.
It was a weekday lunch time and the place was packed, luckily we got a place to sit in the ac section.
We ordered a veg biryani and a veg fried rice since we wanted to taste both Chinese and Indian cuisine there. The quantity of food is good enough for two. The taste was good as always and mumbai masala never fails on the reputation.
Good food here,.. with Mumbaiya Decor... you get the Mumbaikar feel.. we friends went out for lunch here..and loved the food..enjoyed this place with Esha Kudtarkar and two more friends:)
So sunday night and everyplace has waiting of minimum half n hour. we reached Oye kake and found out a waiting period of 25-30mins and no place to sit.. walked out and were walking and saw this place.
you gotta admit that this place is clean and interiors are good. the theme is mumbai and and there is a big salman's photo with a tagline dhulaai.
we ordered north Indian food. The food was served quickly and hot. The taste was good. The staff of the hotel was welcoming. One dish was enough for two.
Last but not least this place offers free wifi, which was good enough.
Have been ordering food from this place at for lunch, and I have to admit that it is good. The delivery is quick! (so far all my orders have arrived within 30 minutes from ordering). I have tried pav bhaji, Chinese and few punjabi vegetables. All of them were quite good, neither too spicy not too oily! Can't comment about the interiors because I have never actually visited the place. Do give it a try if you are in the locality.

This place is in the bylanes of fort near the high court. The ambience is interesting as theres a fusion of mirrors n wallpapers.
Coming to the food, the pav bhaji is buttery but they make it fresh..he actually made th bhaji in front of my eyes. Add to that competitive pricing and u have a good place to visit.

A Really nice place with Bollywood characters animated on the wall. Gets the Mumbai vibe to the place. Gets pretty full during lunch time. This place provides free wifi as the board outside the hotel claims though i dint try it. Did not order much. Just tried the pav bhaji. Decent pav bhaji if not the best. Service was fast and good. So nothing to complain about. As for the prices.....totally light on the pocket. Will surely go again to try some other dishes.

A small little restaurant with a bollywood decor tucked away in fort near Mahesh lunch home. Their Pav bhaji is great, they make it fresh. Do also try the mysore masala which is good. They serve great ginger ale too! A good stop for a quick snack.

I visited a neat and clean restaurant today and couldn't help but appreciate the level of care and attention that has gone into ensuring a safe, hygienic and comfortable experience for everyone. After reading all 5 star reviews I decided to go here for a afternoon lunch ! The place is good and has a very good ambiance and well maintained clean , evn the washroom is clean and hygienic!
The staff is very good and the service is very good well behaved staff. They have a wide variety of options both in veg and non veg...and also a great menu of different cuisines. This place is a must visit if you are anywhere
