Good place to enjoy in groups. Variety of (unlimited food) veg cuisine from Indian to Italian to Chinese... spacious with a separate dance area. Pasta, Chinese and pani puri are must try.

The name itself suggests fusion of global ab desi - covering entire cuisines - Indian - Gujarati, Punjabi, Rajasthani, Fast foods coupled with international cuisines of Mexican, Italian.
Chaats, Starters, live counters - name it and you have it. Main courses with an array of spread - enjoying a lot
Taste of the food is very good and meets the needs of Jain food as well. Music and DJ adds to fun out there. An ideal evening - with food and music and entire evening enjoyment. 2-3 hours got easily passed with friends and family.
my initial expression was very surprising when i entered the restaurant. its a well designed restaurant more appealing thn any other restaurant where you can eat food, dance on the floor.

Its good experience to visit at Global Desi Tadka. They serves indian snacks dosa, pav bhaji, pizza, garlic bread, pasta, pani puri, dahi puri, soup, fried rice, noodles and indian meals. Its veg resturant , with beautiful attire and theme. They also have in house DJ which make its unique. Good for get together and small party. Peoples and kid loves to dance on music. Food is ok.

Global Desi Tadka located in Growels Mall, has theme similar to that of Village, but i found it better than village. The staff and service is better. The food at such place loose their taste as they are made bulk. Yet visiting here is an experience in itself. You can still choose those 3-4 items from starter, fast food, main course to enjoy the food. Similar to village they also have DJ and Garba. The inside theme is like a village, where you get village type street food. This is a pure veg restaurant.
Have given a good rating purely for courteous staff and their lovely service .... Although its a buffet restaurant , their waiters served most of d dishes at our table , asked our choices , promptly repeated orders if any .... I found that nice , coz I was with my toddler ... Ambience is lovely , soft music soothes u . its a veg restaurant , ideal for families and get togethers .
Food was good ....tandoori baby corns deserve a special mention here. Must suggest though that they improve a bit on their mains . desserts were nice . Chinese starters and mongolian rice are a must have too . Italian dishes are average ..... Overall had a fun time .
After financial year closure and great work by team we planned for team getogether and zeroed down to GTD. ... confirmed our booking by 1pm we reached floor by 7:30 with gang of 30 members.
My team enjoyed every bit of it and landed up at DJ. ... He needs to be more professional. ..... 60% music is not for dance floor. .. still we dance as everything went well.
Few suggestions: Table should be reserved specially on weekends but you won't be seating as yiu will be busy hunting for new food. Don't buy tickets in advance if u r not sure of numbers as ticket can't be returned.

We had been here for a Farewell part of one of our colleagues. Liked to the ambiance.
Amazing seating arrangements. Liked the interiors more. The place is really big and can accommodate many. We were like 15 but were comfortably seated. The place became bit crowded in the later part. But really enjoyed our evening.Staff is nice
Food was the best. you have many options. You can try all the cuisine at one location. Would be going again for another party.
This place is located in the prime mall at Kandivili, just besides the Western Express Highway.
Food: You get to taste variety of foods here. Continental, Italian,Chinese, Punjabi, South Indian, Chaat items and lastly mouth watering delicacies of desserts and ice creams. The food is really tasty and total thumbs up to that. Mind you, you get only vegetarian food here.
Ambience: The place is nicely done up with whatever space they have. The place can accomodate a maximum of 150 persons. It definitely becomes crowded when the place is at its full capacity.
Service: The service is good. The waiters are roaming around the whole place and are quite helpful.They serve you all dishes on your table. The DJ and dance floor are the positive points. Music is played between 8-10 pm and that adds to the fun. Otherwise you have to just eat and go.
To sum up, the place is definitely worth a try if you want to spend good times with your family.

Occasion: First Birthday of My Son held on 14th Feb 2015
I would like to appreciate the management and full staff of Global Desi Tadka (GDT) and especially Mr. Amol Gandhe who have helped a to make this event a grand success. The arrangements made were awesome and personal attention were provided to each of our guest. The ambiance of the restaurant is unique from the other restaurants and party hall available in Mumbai which also boosted the party and made it more happening. The service was also very good and fast.
I was expecting 200+ guests in the party and initially i was worried that how theses many number of people will be able to adjust or will there will be short fall of space. I had a discussion regarding my concerns with Mr. Amol Gandhe, who very well listen to my concern and ensured me that "Sir you need not worry and the restaurant has a capacity of serving 400 + guests and your event will take place smoothly over here" and it happened in the same manner the event happened in very smooth manner also i noticed that there was no crowd gathering at any single counter (due to slow delivery or non-availability of item). The guests were moving smoothly and the serving speed was upto the mark of the expectations.
Food : Awesome food, delicious and served hot. The salads, chats, welcome drinks and Live counters are the charm of the restaurant. The Live pizza counter served delicious and tasty pizzas. The "Chupa Rustam" is one of the hot favorite and Chief's Special item that the guests liked the most (Till today i am appraised by my guests for keeping that item in the party, however the secret was that it was recommended by Chief !! ). The quality of the food is very good and home like taste. The Main Course served with 2 - 3 different varieties of Vegetable and Dal is mouth watering. Last but not the least the Sweets and Deserts were served hot.
In Short the food was tasty and everything were served fresh and of good quality.
Ambiance : The Ambiance is very good, it is a theme based restaurant but it is ensured that there is adequate light in each area of the restaurant. There is a separate Dancing floor arranged with Disco Lights wherein the guests can dance on to the tune of the DJ who is playing the latest track. The arrangement were also made to project the sweet memories of our little one from the day he was born till date. The party theme and the staff serving the guest with smile on their face adds the spark to the ambiance of the restaurant.
Service : The service was fast and smooth. The staff is well educated and very friendly. Also i would like to mention they put their best to make your event the Grand Success.

Occassion was my Newphews Birthdays. None of us had visited the Global Desi Tadka so we visited the place on Tuesday afternoon.
This place is in great location, inside Growells malls , Kandivali. To avoid the crowd, my nephew took a leave from his office. Being weekday afternnon we avoided weekend dinner crowd. We were large group of 15 people. Besides us there were only 2 other small group of 4 people during luch, so it was very nice to enjoy the restaurants with out any crowd. I heard that during weekend dinners this place gets very crowded. But because there of no rush during our visit we received excellent service.
At the entrance they served chaas which was good. And Green sugray drink which was OK. Appetizer was very good. They had 3 appetizer dishes, Rice Peanut Tikki, Paneer Spinach Roll, Moti Kabab. Cook was serving the apetizer in small quantities and kept the fresh batch coming.
The sauces were little bit average. I wish they would keep the Katchup too. Paneer spinach roll would taste good with Katchup. There was green chutney and Tamerind chutney but no Tomato Katchup.
There was a small salad counter but all it had was cut totato, onion and cucumber pieces. Nothing much elobrate. We all tasted appetizer, Tasty and freshly made appetizer was worth it.
There was also a chaat counter with Panipuri, Sevpuri etc. Which was very decent too. After the appetizer session, We all had a brief dancing session. Apparently this place is famous for its dance floor. They encourage their customers to place Gujju Garbas and other dancing in the middle of the restaurant. Which was lots of fun. All kids in the group showed their dancing skills and we all cheared. Some of the adults tried to show their dancing skills too :-)
After the dancing, we were ready for main course. For main course they had, Singapore fried rice, Jeera rice, Dal Tadka, Paneer Makhni, Veg Chaman, Aloo Chatpata, Babycorn Butter Masal, Schezwan noodles with veg balls (Whatever that means). There was also the live counter for PavBhaji and Dosa.
We all tried various dishes. And some were average while some were above average. Over all the dishes were above average. Food Quality was good. All the dishes were freshly made. While none of the dishes tasted out of the world, they whole meal was definately above average , very decent tasty meal.
Dessert was the weak point of the meal. There was Kala Jamun and Ice cream for dessert. Many buffet restaurant has an impressive spread for dessert. This place did not have much. So dessert was negative of the buufet meal.
Service was outstanding, After the restaurant was closed, Some kids from the group requested the ice cream and waiter went to kitchen and served them the ice cream .
There was Paan counter at the entrance but they charged extra for the Paan. They should include it with the meal.
People who went there during rush out may have different opinion but I loved the place for its laid back atmosphere. Great service and value for money. This is not the place to spend quite romantic evening. This is the place to
go as a big group and spend few hours laughing, making noise while eating decent vegetarian food.

So Neha (My boss) took all of us to Global Desi Tadka for a lunch.
Let me start with the ambiance it was really live and nice, so you can settle wherever you want.
You can start with Chaat, Pav Bhaji and Dosa. After that they will serve starters to you on your table. Then you can hop on main course and the desserts are also very good. They also have three types of welcome drinks not to forget the vanilla ice cream with tiny cone :).
The amount they charge is totally vasool. One can go and enjoy the weekend.
Firstly the ambiance is nice ,they have maintained the desi aspect

Then they have kept a DJ who plays only Bollywood songs and people play garba on such songs I don't know why

The decor at the Global Desi Tadka Kandivali East at Growels mall, from my POV is on the classier end. Standing on the second floor and looking around through window glass, it has a wonderful outdoor view. It is very easy to reach this restaurant from any side, since Growels is visible from the western express high way. The nearest railway station is 1 km far. If you are going there for the first time, and If the place is not found better to call them and ask them to explain the address to driver.
The staffs are well trained, polite and nice.
One of my colleagues is a Jain vegetarian who doesn't eat garlic, ginger, potato, etc, and all his requests were satisfied. We really had a great dining experience there. It is buffet service. The food is really nice and typical Indian style taste. There are very few Indian restaurants that have a great number of good food varieties, such as Indian street food, Punjabi food, Gujarati food, and South Indian dishes like Pav bhaji, dosa and chats. I feel the service is very Indian. Cycle wali chai, chaat on scooter, Barber ki dukan, jail house.
It is run by the same management of Village restaurant, they share the same concept.
Global Desi Tadka is competitively priced compared to the restaurants around.

We visited the place on Independence day. The decor was based on the theme of Independence day. Not only the ambianiace, the food was also based on the theme of Independence day. For instance, there was tirangi pakora, tirangi biryani and tirangi roti. There is a vast variety of food. Overall the experience was great.
The most happening veg restaurant in Mumbai. The overall experience was excellent. Typical desi style with cyclewali chai to a jail along with a kaidi. Must visit place. Lots of fun and entertainment with a vast variety of unlimited food.
We visited the restaurant last week and were quiet surprised to see the loud but yet creative decor of the restaurant. There was a tarot card reader and a jyotish. Since the IPL season is on a large TV screen was put up in the restaurant. We really liked the new dishes which are generally quiet unheard of like Hyderabad Deccan Chargers ki biryani and Chennai Super Kings ka Chowmein Dosa. And the best part is that its Pure vegetarian.
