An old thela running into the third generation now, probably from my school days of Jamnabai.
A regular there but somehow work, circumstances intrude and you loose touch. We went last week and Sharmaji was excited about us visiting and started chatting about everything but said these days you don’t take awards any longer. Yes a #FacePalm moment because of Zomato and Burrrp. But assured him that I was launching and will keep in mind.
The new place inside has lost business for a while but now seems to be back.
Food tastes better when the maker or server loves to feed

Visit Day Date and Time:- Sunday 29th September, 2019, 17.00 p.m.
"Sharma Chaat Bhandar" a popular and value for money chaat place of Vile Parle. This place was on my bucketlist since longtime and finally decided to visit it. It a tiny outlet with seating option for 4 or 5 people, is located inside the Amarpali Shopping Center.
We tried out following:-
1. Pani Puri
2. Ragda Pattice
3. Kulfi
4. Mix Chaat
Would recommend everything which we tried.
Point to Note:- Value for Money, Clean, Hygenic, Quick Service.
Experience:- Overall it was super experience and surely must visit place if you love pani puri, dahi puri or any chaat option. It has added to one of my favourite place.
Note:- Visit to this place was on own and review is based on personal experience.
Awesome is the word. I have had this chaat since childhood and its still the same.
I came here with my family after a very long time and we ate almost everything twice.
Sev puri
Dahi puri
Sukha bhel
Ragda pattice
Pani puri
Hahaha. Really relived childhood memories again.
There also used to be a calcutta modi bhel walla , god knows where is he nw?? Any knows about it?
Anyways sharma chaat walla is a must try if your around juhu area.
The only clean, hygienic chaat place I've ever been to!
All their dishes are delicious and definitely worth a try!
Whether pani puri, ragda puri, sev puri or bhel, all of it is definitely worth a try!
The staff is really co-operative!
Highly recommended!
P. S: Accepts Paytm!

Tucked inside a shopping complex, this place is one of the most hygenic Chaat place in Bombay.
Had
Sev Puri : one of the chatapata will sevpuri.
Ragdapattice : ok ok not good
Dahi puri : i am big fan of dahi puris, had one of the best in bombay.
Overall a good place for chaats.

This place had the perfect ragda pattice...and lovely dahi puri...and bhel puri was nice...paani puri too was excellent...quite crowded on weekends as families turn up in numbers at this juhu circle area...parking is a big problem around this area
Sharma Chat Bhandar is my all time go to place in Vile Parle, the polite and cooperative staff is wonders but the mouth watering chaats made by the experienced sharmaji is really worth trying!! He makes sure to make the things by himself even today. They have a small store but it’s hygienic, clean and trustworthy.Go to place for all the Chaat lovers, you can never be disappointed with this place. One of my wonderful explorations of Mumbai is this, being an all time chaat eater this is a great place for me to binge on.
We visit this place once in a while but surprisingly have never written a review for it...
Yesterday we went there for bhel puri and Dahiya Batata puri...The place is pretty hygienic and buzzing with chat lovers... The flavours are nice....The pani puri is also nice here ...We did not have it this time but have had a couple of times in the past..,,
You're not a true Mumbaikar if you've not had Sharma Chaat atleast once in your life. Initially, they used to put up their roadside stall on the pavement outside Options, Juhu, this place would be as crowded as a 7pm Virar local. However, now they've shifted to a shop right next to the Options, Juhu. From Pani Puri, to Sev Puri, to Bhel Puri, to Ragda Patice, Sharma Chaat has the best tasting chaat throughout Mumbai.
Do not expect a very swanky shop when you go here. The chaat will be served in steel plates, or even newspapers, but the taste of the chaat will definitely make you want to come again.

Good food, just one thing, their google maps location is incorrect! So take a left from nmims towards juhu beach and around 700-800m there is Amrapali shopping centre, so inside that there is a shop!
Also there is no pav bhaji, only chat items.
Food- amazing! Just amazing! All the items are amazing!
Nice place serving varieties of chats. Very tasty, clean and hygiene is taken care off. Servers are trained and polite. Fun to be there to give a tickle to your taste buds. Must visit.
Ragda patis...OMG..what a taste...yummy...full satisfied with Chaat taste...we could not resist to have one more.
Pani Puri is tasty to where they have stuffing as per your taste.
we were disappointed with kanji wada, wadas we're very very hard... usually they must be soft so that kanji water goes in.
they have a renovated place where they have now few places for sitting and enjoying the chaat.
A do visit place for sure.
finally some place serving super tasty chaat. the place is always buzzing with people.
ragda pattice and pani puri are to die for. its a must try place. you will want to keep coming back 😉
I random excursion in the Juhu Chowpatty - Parla region made us stumble across Sharma Chaat Bhandar. Quite literally.
My mother is someone who cannot resist chaats and passing this place meant that we didn't really have a choice but to go in and try some:
Pani Puri (5 plates only)
Masala Puri
We are a "Ragda in our Pani Puri" kind of family and a lot of vendors don't keep ragda. We were thrilled to see them have ragda, boondi, aloo and the regular moong-chana options!
Coming to the Pani Puri - it was surprisingly amazing. The pani was just the right kind of tangy, spicy, sour and chilled all at once. The feeling of the puri crack in your mouth, followed by a sudden waft of hot ragda (capable enough burn your tongue) mellowed down with the icy cold pani, is none to compare.
Bhaiyaji was kind enough to give us a lot of extra Masala Puri's abundantly topped with sev and masala. Yum yum yum! Best way to finish a Pani Puri snack.
He insisted we try their "Jain Ragda Pattice" which is supposedly a speciality there. But we were much too full for it. Being the only strict Jain amongst us, my mother knows how difficult it is to find Ragda Pattice that is without aloo.
Which got her super excited and she instantly enquired if they accept party orders. To our delight we found out that they have travelled far and wide - Muscat, Dubai and London to name a few places to serve their delicious chaats for parties and weddings.
Food - 5/5
Ambiance - 3/5
Service - 4.5/5
We had a very satisfactory chaat snack at Sharma Chaat Bhandar. Of course Pani Puri is not all they serve and clearly they can provide you jain versions of anything! Wish we were hungrier - we would have tried everything!
Would I go back? If I'm in the area ... Definitely!
Have been visiting this place for years... the Ragda Pattice and dahi batata Puri is awesome... the sev Puri and pani Puri is also good but have eaten better ones in other places... the quality and quantity, though, have deteriorated over the years...

What an awesome place for chat..hygeinic, seating option available, so much variety and the most important it's all tasty!!
Had the kaanji vada .. have not had it anywhere else in Mumbai, was surprised to find it at a chat house. The vada was alright, am not a big fan of it anyways but the kanji water was smokey and so yumm. You have to try it
The sev Puri, dahi Puri were super too. The Pani Puri was good.. they make pav bhaji only on pre order mostly for catering so couldn't sample that.
The owner and workers are very friendly and sweet.. adds to the overall experience of this joint.
Tried Pani puri and Dahi puri. Pani puri was better and customizable as in they would first figure out your taste and then serve accordingly. Dahi puri on the contrary was ok. Ignore the ambience.
AUG 2016 Evening
This Place has been for almost a decade, before it used to be right on the road. Used to start in evenings only after the Bank would close.
Now since last year or so, moved inside Amrapali shopping center.
Do try the
Ragda Pattice
Sev Puri
Crowded on weekends evening
Once there was a stall near Kalaniketan, now it is shop in the mall. The credit of the success of Sharma Chaat Bhandar from stall to shop goes to their consistency in taste and quality of food served. Since childhood, I have visited them to try their yummy Pani Puri along with Ragda Pattice or just go with Sev Puri.
Their food is amazing and the service is prompt. I remember waiting in line to place the order and then again wait in line to collect it. The best part of my entire experience was eating Sev, Kurmure in the end, which he gives free of cost, or even Sukha Puri after spicy pani puri.
Good place to eat Mumbai roadside specialty in the suburb!
Considered to be among the top 5 in Mumbai in Chat counters. It deserves to be at the top. Have been there at numerous times and it always tempts me to come again and again. Bhel puri, sev puri and pani puri are its one of the few dishes which are worth trying.
Sharma chat bandar ...it was a huge joint once at roadside now it has shifted inside in a shop it open it late night ...people prefer their chats ..they serve pani puri ..sev puri ..golden bhel ..dahi bhalle ...ragada pattice ..Their chats are too delicious ..getting a parking here is a task as its always crowded ..Avoid Weekends to avoid rush !
A must visit place for the chaat lovers out there..
Although the price is a little high for the quantity they offer...The taste is totally worth it..
The Ragda pattice and the dahi puri is highly recommended..
Sharma bhel puri wala.....the name is enough....all chats r too good....u actually get addicted to it...especially pani puri and sev puri r to die for....the only problem here is cost...its expensive....i was charged 50 rs for a sev puri....

For the best chat in the town , they have been serving people since decades, they have maintained the quality to the best. Situated near sahakari bhandar juhu.
Amazing taste of pani Puri, neat & clean serves you with great smile. They take all type of party orders & never disappoint you with their services to your guest.
Best place to have Chaat in Juhu & neighbouring areas...this place never disappoints you by the good authentic good that they serve...my favourites are ragda Patties & dahi vada!!
Parla is known to be the hub for food.
Sharma Chaat Bhandar does keep up with good standards.
It's neat and clean and they also have some few chairs to sit. This is not usually found when eating on the roadside.
The sukha bhel and Pani puri are very nice. Even dahi bateta puri was good.
nice place to have chaat after doing a bit of shopping in vile parle market. Like the dahi puri and ragda pattice a lot. The paani puri is good but they stuff the puri with ragda so much that you hardly get some spicy/tangy paani in the puri. Have to ask the server to cut down on the paani puri filling. They are always crowded and getting a seat in the stall is difficult. They have put in pictures of them serving at Sachin Tendulkars place. Good to know. Overall definitely worth a visit
This place is at the shopping arcade near green bell..the day I went pani puri was okish..but sev puri and ragda patis was yum! They serve all kinda chaat items!
You get the best chat here! THE BEST! No doubts on the same... We have been eating for years and the taste is always great... the puris are crisp and the taste of the chutneys hardly changes... It was a little more fun when the stall was outside but inside is more hygienic i guess...
The Pani Puri- Dahi Puri and Pattis (without ragda- just chutneys) is my all time favorite... the bhel and sev puri is good too... well i guess everything is great so just go and eattttt!
Yum Yum Yum!
I tried sevpuri, panipuri and dahipuri. All of them had perfect spices to make my tongue go lalalalala.
The best part was all their puris were crisp and of a size tailored for "in-one-bite".
I wish they had more manpower during the peak hours. But then if we can't wait then it ain't worth it.
Outstanding pani puri. Until yesterday, I thought Karachiwala on Hill Road made the best pani puris, but Sharma's PPs exceeded it by far. Spicy, yes, but delicious.
Been here since so long.. but the taste never changes..we are done trying and experimenting on their every dish.. first you shop and then you hog at this chat bhandar!!
I have been here many a times. Though if just talking of this visit the place wasn't as good as it used to be. All the things paani puri, sev puri, Aloo tiki, Bhel and Dahi puri lacked taste. Either too spicy or tasteless. I expected better off this place but just giving the rating on the previous good experiences here.
This place has delicious chaat and it is also very hygienic, I love their Ragda Pattice❤. Their Pani Puri isn't as good as most other Chaatwaalas but their Ragda Pattice makes their outlet a must visit
Sharmaji makes the best Paanipuris in the town. Period. We have been having Chaats at this place for the last fifteen years. It used to be a roadside stall previously, but for the last year or so, it has turned into a proper shop.
We begin our rounds with Paanipuris, usually followed by a Suka Bhel. The taste and combination of chutneys make the Paanipuris delicious. Sharmaji is a master of all the dishes, but Paanipuris are the best. The filling is of potatoes and mung, unlike some other places that add only bundis in the puris. Because of mung, two plates of Paanipuris fill your stomach. (Of course, this is for my family since we are light eaters.) The puris he uses are of the thicker variety, not the thin paper-like puris. After two plates of Paanipuris, I can just share one plate of Suka Bhel.
The people who serve you dishes are polite and welcoming, 'Sir, ek aur Paanipuri...Ya to, garam garam ragada patties lelo...'
We usually ask for more than one Suka Puri at the end the rounds--and, believe me, they never hesitate to give us one. If fact, they jovially make the extra one for you!
I am an admirer of economic food joints and also aspire to be an aficionado of Mumbai street foods. Believe me, this food stall is one of the best in the town.
The newspaper cutting in the shop announce that Bachchans, who live nearby, often invite Sharmaji to their place for a chaat binge. Must be true, given Sharma's reputation.
Despite my strong belief that a street stall loses its essence once it becomes a cement-walled 'eatery', and also despite warnings that the quality had slid deeply since then.. I thought the chaat's quality, taste, quantity, price and hygiene were rather good compared to most of its peers.
(Plus, I heard Bacchan Sr has given it a thumbs up.)
They used to better when they were on the street :)
However they have been around for a very long time. Try the sev puri and pain puri. Its probably the best the are in the area and the extended area.
The search for the best chaat in Mumbai ends here. It's like mini elco. With hygiene and tasty food being their USPs..I love the way all the guys serve you with a smile :)
I am so happy to find Sharma chaat Bhandar on Zomato. A small tapri is now a proper shop :) we get the best matlab best paani puri here .... It's clean, it's hygienic and yummy! Dahi puri is a must try dish here ... Sharmaji u rockkk! Will keep visiting this place till it exists :)
Its just awesome I never miss going here when ever I go vile parle!!!! U should try pani Puri.. It soo crowdy ever time...even sev Puri n dhai puri u shuld try????
Sharmaji is quite famous amongst chat lovers in Vile Parle,
Quick fact- those pani puris have funded Sharma's son's US education:-O
The chat is brilliant here, and being a die hard panipuri fan, I dig their's.
Its open till 11-1130 in the night which is a good thing.
They are hygienic too
This is one of the oldes chaat stall of mumbai near juhu specially known as Kalanekaten wala panipuri. peoplr can have chaat her even having dinner and just visit here to have chaat. you can say that this is once of the mumbiya chaat. it is so crowded on weekends. i specially like dhai puri, pani puri, and save puri.
The owner him self stand on stall and serves chaat, since many years the taste is the same and no complains for it.
you can say it is one of the pride of chat for juhu area here.
People how kile thika pani should try pani puri here.
Sharma chaat near sarkari banndar on the way to juhu ..
This guy had a stall on the footpath next to sarkari bandar... Can't tell u how old is this place ,been going to this place for chaat since childhood..
They serve different types of chaat at his stall , currently they have shifted to a shop inside the small shopping building behind them ,after asking came to know that local authority use to create lots of issues so they had to shift inside the shop .
They served .
Pani puri (too tasty must must must try )
Dahi puri (another brilliant stuff )
Sev puri
Bhel
Ragada patis
These are the items that he sells ,now if u plan to visit him make sure u go empty stomach bez I can assure you , if you taste any one thing from above I am sure u will for sure go for others too..
They make it so professionally and so quickly that u would not have to wait for longer time plus it's fresh and tasty ..
Other good part is no matter when u go , you will find the same taste every time ,so there is consistency in his taste ,quantity ,quality and service.
They open from evening around 4 I think not sure yet ,but the minute they are open till they shut they are never lack of customers ,always always crowded area .. As people go for shopping in options ,sarkari bhandar ,than there is small garden near by ,ppl walking by the street etc will for sure stop to have his tasty chaat..
One good thing I find is ,no matter how much it be crowded they never raise their voice on customers always have a small smile on the face and they like to serve ... That means they do respect their own work and respect the customers ...
I am not too sure about how much they care about hygiene ,as they deal too huge quantity ,but I am dam sure they are 100% better than other chaat counters in the city ,they make sure the entire area they use to make all chaat is cleaned on regular intervals ,that shows they are concerned for hygiene ...
I recommend each and every one ,staying near by or far they much come and have once and try their chaat ..I am sure u all won't be disappointed at all.
Ambiance 3( its in shop,no sitting arrangement )
Service 3.5
Hygiene 3
Quantity 3.5
Quality 3.5
Taste 4
Over all 3.5

Its a gud taste yummmee nd its healthy nd hygienic dis taste vl nt get anywer in dis world its a challenge dis fud cuming celebrities to eat
Brilliant food. Awesome chaat and food. Mouthwatering chole.
Eating chaat is a popular evening time activity in Mumbai. Every resident of the city would have his or her favorite chaatwalla, whose quality and flavor one would vouch for. A lot of these chaat places are near the popular evening hang outs such as the various beaches in the city.
Sharma chaat has been around for years. It was earlier a pavement stall which has now transformed into a proper shop inside a shopping complex.
The chaats available at Sharma chaat are mouth watering and authentic. I specially like their ragda pattice which they serve drenched in a tangy sweet n sour chutney. Another favorite is their dahi puri which has a crisp puri filled with spicy masala topped with sweet yogurt and sweet and spicy chutneys. The pani puri is as usual, good, crisp and tangy.
I constantly recommend Sharma Chaat to my friends and definitely catch some grub here whenever I am in the vicinity.
Sharma is a very old chaat house near sahkari bhandar in juhu...they used to have their stall on d footpath earlier but nw they have taken their own place in the shopping center which is pretty cool...
They make amazing chats and their paani puri is a must try...it's a bit expensive though...Bt it still draws a lot of crowd...their quality of chaats just rock....a must try.
All the oily, unhealthy & roadside food !! But who cares ? Its tasty and thats what settles all arguments.
So this week, we took a headed out to Juhu Scheme to review 'Sharma Chaat Bhandar'.
They serve one of the best chaat dishes we have come across yet.
As we walked towards it, we could smell the rich aroma of the food being made there.
To read the entire review, visit : www.justnomnom.com
Visited this popular couple of days back. A tiny outlet with seating option for 4 to 5 people only. We tried out Pani Puri, Mix Chaat, Ragda Pattice and Kulfi.
Recommendations:- Pani Puri, Mix Chaat and Ragda Pattice.
Service:- Quick.
Note:- Hygenic Place and Value for Money.
Must try out place if you love to eat different types of chaats.
Well I have learnt eating chat at this place. Hence I do not have chat from any other place in Mumbai. They serve the best Pani Puri with bislery water n they r quite hygienic. They have all the various chats including the Ragda Pattice. It’s just amazing, the owner is quite old but he personally know all his customer n quite professional greats them.
The best chaat Place in my eatery list.the quality of food is high standard.we ate dahi batata puri, pani puri and ragda pattice at this place.my favourite is dahi batata puri.the pani puri was also at its best.the spice levels are perfect as we have mentioned.the service was quick.the place was clean and hygienic.the friends who tried chaat items at this place for the first time also liked the food they served.definitely recommend this place.
What a Place to have some quick A category Pani puri, Sev Puri, bhel. It's wow. Must try and once u try you will go again and again.
Sharmaji makes excellent chats and excellent human being. Its worth spending some time with him to understand how he started his chat journey in Mumbai in a small lari and now bollywood stars call him for their family weddiings in mumbai , dubai , US etc. Worth a visit
Amazing place for chaat! It's located in the Sahakari Bhandar shopping complex in Juhu.
The place upholds good hygiene and the chaat options and taste is unparalleled anywhere else. Must visit if you think you've had the best chaat
Very nice staff , good hygiene and nice taste
Nice variety of chat food serving for many many years. Pani Puri was nice and the pani puri pani was different but nice. Even the sukha bhel with little extra spicy touch brings life to all the senses. If you are in Juhu area and want to eat clean hygienic chat, then this is the place to go.
The place is worth for Chaat lovers & must try amongst all Chaat places in & around Andheri & Santacruz. It has basic Chaat options like Ragda Patice & Samosa but the taste is world best for the people who prefer chat as option to be had at any point of time.
Small seating place inside (w/o a/c). The preferred options to try in sequence is Ragda Chaat, pani puri & Bhel.
People travelling from Andheri(E) will face traffic trouble due to current bridge blockage & might take somewhere around 45-50 mins to reach.
Good Taste & Great Quality.Best Experience in terms of Infrastructure & Cleanliness.Prices are Little Expensive but "Best Food Experience comes with a Good Price!"
They claims as Mr.Amitabh Bachchan eats their food products.
The food is good, but the service is not up to the standard.
Very limited sitting space, too congested, late evening is better than going in peak hours.
Parking is not much of an issue.
Can have better cleanliness.
Friendly staff, good taste, no diarreah. ✅️✅️✅️ paani puri water is more tangy than spicy. So it's a different flavor compared to over spicy chilly water with ton of chaat masala and salt.
The people who serve food are wonderful. The chaat and Pani puri are tasty as well.
We reached there at 11 pm and they kept the store open for us.
The place is a little hard to find since Google maps isn't fully accurate, so just make sure you search around a bit.
