Found this place really late but boy I am glad I did. It's a small place for dine in I have only ordered from here. To keep it simple the food is tasty which is all one looks for from a restaurant. But yes I would say I liked the non veg way better than the veg. The veg tasted average and passable.

I ordered from Tamak for the first time and I was just too happy with the safety precautions they take before delivering. Now coming to the food.
I ordered the Truffle cheese garlic kulcha. I must say it was almost perfect but just too much cheese which was like a blob in the mouth. But having said that I’m sure the cheese lovers Will love it.
I ordered black dal which was one of the best I’ve had in Mumbai. Creamy, flavourful and hit the spot. The butter chicken too was one of the few good ones I’ve had. Nice pieces. Creamy gravy and just the perfect meal to have to make ur North Indian craving going. Well done team Tamak. Keep it up. Will def be ordering on the weekend soon.

This place never disappoints! People if you are sceptical about ordering food during this lockdown, your worry ends here! Vikram and team is doing a great job. Fully sanitised kitchen and packing! Order from here and fulfil your cravings even when locked down!
Pick any dish from the menu and you will have a lip smacking experience. Butter chicken , soya chap and what not!
If you are lucky you might get some complimentary laddoos made in pure ghee (I got some)
Kudos to the team for maintaining the high standards both in food and sanitisation.
Attaching a picture of the packing to show their sincerity when it comes to following safety standards.

Chef Vikram Kapoor’s food is the best North Indian food around - hands down. We had a lip-smacking meal at his little joint in Khar, where the kitchen outsizes the seating area, the spices are imported straight from Delhi and Punjab and the service is perfectly attentive. There were so many highlights - that mutton Nihari and hare mirch wala kheema, the khulchas and missi roti , the kebabs and chaats, and those little bites of heaven in the form of Parmesan stuffed khulcha with a spray of truffle essence. Amazing butter chicken with silky (not sweet ) gravy with beautifully cooked chicken. To top it off a guilt-free pure Kala jamun kulfi. It had no sugar or milk, just the pulp in a kulfi form with a sprinkling of black salt. And then the crispy, thin jalebis. Outstanding. Order in, or come in to sample it all. You win either way.

It just happened... we were on our way home from Juhu.. while scanning fir a nearby restaurant we chanced upon this one...
It is a small place with less than 20 seats. Fortunately they had a cancellation and we were able to get a tabke for 2. The seating was comfortable but a bit disturbing as the bearers kept walking by our table....
We relied on our bearer who suggested a galouti kebab and a Tandoori chicken for starters.. For the main course we opted for onion kulcha and Nan..with a chicken gravy and chicken biriyani.. The portions were not big ... but sufficient for two..
Galouty kebab was too soft in consistency.. Tandoori chicken was good.. but chicken gravy in the main course was disappointing.. it had no identity of its own.. so i even forgot its name

Amazing North Indian food. Wow! The Lucknowi Tokri Chaat, Dahi ke Shole and Galouti Kebabs were the highlights. They served us a birthday cake at short notice made from an Indian dessert. My guess is it was made of rasmalai. Possibly one of the best birthday cakes I've ever eaten. Definitely recommend.

It’s a blessing for North Indian gafoor lovers. They start and refresh your palette with matti and achar.. beverages such as masala thumps up, bantewala soda, shikanji, Punjabi lassi are refreshing. Main course also is decent but the portion size is a little small. Overall a great place to hang out with family and friends. Must try

Tamak is casual dining restaurant which serves traditional North Indian cuisine along with mocktails, beverages, stuffed kulcha, briyani and indian sweets. Tamak is small place with comfortable indian cuisine mainly focus on authenticity and traditional food.

Tamak is located at 6, ground floor, Ahiya Apartments, 16th Road, Main Avenue, Behind Rajesh Khana Garden, Santacruz West, Mumbai. Before visiting Tamak, make sure your are making prior reservation. Since place is small, so there's always waiting.

We visited here for having dinner with friends, we had Shikanji and Jaljeera along with Smoked Chicken Tikka Kulcha, Tandoori Jheenga Lehsuni and Highway Chicken Tikka in appetizers. All the mocktails and appetizers were amazing.

In main course we had Ambala Chicken Curry with Pudina Laccha Paratha & Pyaaz ki Tandoori Roti and steamed rice. In Desserts we had Casatta and Paan Ice-creams.

Overall Tamak is nice place to have dinner or lunch with your team, make reservations before visiting which will make your experience more amazing. Yes! Service department needs to improve much. Rest everything is on point

Passion for food takes you to different places, some familiar & some will be new experiences. Tamak which means passion for food is a place that serves Northern Indian food in a modernized manner. Tamak gives you nostalgic flavors bundled in a new-age packaging.

This year old place is small, compact but filled with a lot of flavors. Here is what I tried on my visit:

Banta Soda, Ganne Ka Ras and Shikanji: Each of these drinks was refreshing, perfect on point and goes well with the food. Do try it for their flavors and also to reminisce your childhood times!

Galouti Kebab: This kebab was an experience to remember. It totally melts in the mouth and is served with a base parantha which was little harder than the regular ones.

Makhan Samundra Taj: A minced mix of different sea-foods made into a tikka was really delicious and flavorful.

Truffle scented Cheese Kulcha: This was the highlight of the meal, absolutely delicious, highly recommended and the truffle oil will only make you want to eat more of this.

Smoked Chicken Tikka Khulcha: This was a good attempt and we can arguably say that after a long time, I have liked the Veg version of a kulcha more than the non-veg version.

In mains I tried: Nihari Gosht with Pyaaz ki Tandoori roti, Pudina Kulcha and Khamiri Roti, each of the roti's were hot and authentically done. The gravy was served like Khow Suey style, with condiments served separately to be added as per the taste.

We ended our meal with Pan Ice cream: This home-made ice cream makes you feel like relishing an original paan. Do try it out.

Overall, give yourself a gastronomical treat with Chef Vikram's signature dishes and you’ll star loving North Indian food again.

Tamak is very small restaurant with nearly 6 tables but serves some delicious North Indian Food that shouldn't be missed.

Coming straight to the food I tried..

We started off with two mocktails.. kalakhatta goti soda and phalsa soda. Both were a little tangy. Decent.

We started off with Mushrooms truffle oil naan bombs which were delicious and flavorful. Stuffed well.. must try if you love Mushrooms.

Dahi ke kebab.. a little unusual way to serving here.. creamy gooey hung curd stuffed between bread and deep fried. Crunchy gooey combination and quite delicious.

Tandoori Soya chaap.. well marinated and cooked to perfection..super soft chaap. Slightly underseasoned but delicious nonetheless.

Lotus chips.. decent.. could have been better. Slightly burnt. Little underseasoned.

Chole and aloo stuffed Kulcha... One of the best I've had. The chole were perfectly cooked .. melt in the mouth..well balanced.. kulcha were delicious too. Favourite dish of the evening.

Dal Makhani with onion naan.. yet another fantastic combination. Loved it. The onion naan was outstanding. The Dal was creamy and delicious.

Gajar halwa... Freshly made.. not too sweet..just so delicious. Loved it.

Jamun Kulfi with black salt.. the best Jamun Kulfi ever. Loved it. It was pure Jamun pulp. Truly delicious.

Overall a delicious meal it was. Definitely visit and try them or order it home.

Our Review: 5 / 5:

@tamakrestaurant is a small quaint restaurant in santacruz serving north indian food. A highly underrated, hidden gem in Mumbai. This place is bit small in terms of size but compensated for it being fantastic. Plenty of natural light filtering in, which enhances the design elements in yellow and blue. The small kitchen from where Chef Vikram Arora, bustles in and out with dishes, looks intriguing. The staff is courteous and active. Coming to the food, we started with amazing truffle mushroom cheese khulcha. It has subtle hint of chives and sea salt and dash of truffle enhanced this dish. We also tried appetizers Dilli’s Bhalla Papri chaat & Palak & paan patta chaat. For non-vegetarians they were served varieties of dishes. Makhan samudri taj and Nihari gosh were top –notch. We also taste ker sangri & Punjabi kadi pakoda with chawal. Moving on to the dessert we tried Kale Chane ka halwa it was scrumptious and unique. Overall we can say if you are looking for north indian cuisine serving at affordable rates this is the place for you.

Helmed by chef Vikram Arora, Tamak is a place where the food takes center stage, its a culinary experience not to be missed.Being a Delhite, the gastronomic journey at Tamak was pure nostalgia.
We started our evening with modinagar ke shikanji & phalsa Sharbat along with licious Lucknawi tokiri chaat, the addition of ripe bananas gave that extra punch to the dish, the tamarind chutney is an absolute win.
Delicate Galouti kebab, perfectly charred highway chicken tikka & beautiful & flavoursome macchi tikka chutneywala folllowed next.
For mains we devoured the Hari Mirch ka keema Gosht & Ambala chicken beautifully doused in flavors & spices.Kashmiri Rogan josh with Khamiri Roti is made to perfection,a must try !!
We relished the Pan ice cream & jamun kulfi, they are not to be missed.
At Tamak you are set to dig into a truly blissful meal, the attention to detail & prompt service make the experience worthwhile.

A hidden gem located in the lanes of Santacruz. If you're looking for a proper North Indian Cuisine then this place is definitely for you.
.
Me and my cousin started with Truffle essence, mushroom , sea salt kulcha . This dish is Highly recommended here. We ordered this dish 2 times it was that good .
.
Then we had lucknowi tokri chaat . It was also something which is very uncommon in delhi . Tokri was made up of aloo strips and stuffed with chaat.
.
We also had Makhan samudri taj . It was a combination of prawns , crab , fish , butter , lime. I quite did not like this dish . It was little dry in taste.
.
For main course, do try butter chicken with naan . Hands down for their authenticity in the flavours.
.
We tried paan Icecream and phirni for dessert . Paan Icecream was very refreshing and would recommend this dish. Phirni was also good in taste . And would recommend who loves Indian desserts.
.

Overall it's an amazing place to visit. They have very few seatings available.

The food and the staff add the chamak and the damak to Tamak. Clearly, they let the food do the talking and allow it to take over whilst the staff patiently and eagerly standby to help with that conversation, if needed! Authentic north Indian flavours which are very reasonably priced and they also have an option of small plates which means one can sample so much more!!!

This place is tucked in small bylanes of Santacruz... Its a hidden gem.... The master chef Vikram is all ready to serve you with his signature dishes and trust me.. They r heaven.... We started with Cheese Mushroom kulcha served with truffle oil & sea salt..It was superb... Followed by lucknowi tokri chaat, which was so refreshing... The tokri was filled with seasonal fruit and aloo chat & their spices & chutney... Special mention to this chaat.. Pls DO NOT MISS IT. Then the main course whuch we ordered was Ranjit Paneer Subzi which was different and good.. Its the chef speacility. We wanted to end our dinner with desserts which we had heard a lot about.. So we ordered KALA CHANA HALWA which is served hot & tastes super.. Never had this halwa before followed by their hand made PAN ICE Cream & HOT JALEBI ( thin & crispy) with rabdi... I would suggest do not over order food so that you can have space to try these delicious desserts... Next on list is shahi tukda... Coming real soon there once again... Thank you for the wonderful service. By the way its a 8 table restaurant so try to reserve the table & reach early.

We walked into this non descript joint for lunch on a Saturday early afternoon not expecting much. However, we were glad we did. Nearly everything we had was made very well, was tasty and was the right portion size and found it to be great value for money. Chef Jai who assists Chef Vikram entered into friendly conversations and gave some good recommendations. Chef Vikram revealed that most of their masalas came from Delhi & Punjab which showed up in the authentic North Indian taste the dishes had!

Galouti Kabab, Chhole Kulcha, Kulle wali chat, Cheese Kulcha (starter), Matar sabzi and baked Kulche, bante wali lemon were all delicious. Kale Chane ka Halwa (complimentary) was also unique and tasty.

Overall, taste & presentation of food, service, hospitable staff all went in to make it a very good place to go to, will certainly visit Tamak when we are this side next.

I am writing this review after visiting the place a couple of times and ordering from it some 5-10 times, so trust me when I am saying that they really have some of the best North Indian food in the Bandra-Khar-Santa Cruz area.. I personally love their Nihari Mutton even though they serve very little gravy with it (problem when ordering at home). The Nihari has really flavourful gravy with very well cooked mutton that will leave you asking for more. The khamiri roti they serve goes well with it. Some experts around you might say that they've had better Nihari but for that you'll have to go a little far also I guess.

The Galauti kebabs are also very good with meat so soft that it'll remind you of Lucknow. I've had some other starters as well which have also been really good. Even the veg starters are good like the dudhiya paneer tikka.

The Kaali Daal (Daal Makhni) that they serve under the name of cooker daal tamak is also amazing. This Daal can be a good test for any north Indian cuisine restaurant. They do get it right to a great extent.

The desserts are also very good in quality and taste.

The side things like the green chatni and the pickles are also pretty good.

In all its a place that offers good quality close to authentic north Indian food which is a little difficult to find in Mumbai. I hope they maintain the quality of food even if it means them taking less orders.

This is the place to go for Punjabi / indian cuisine. It's a small joint but nothing at all would disappoint you here. The people are so friendly, helpful in suggesting and with superb service!

So I have been here twice once with friends and another time with family. The food is spectacular in taste and presentation.

The mushroom starter with truffle oil is truly mouth watering! Also they serve some chutneys in small vessels like cooker, pan which makes it ultra cute.

For mains we had called for chur chur Naan, tava paratha, they were so soft and simply melted in my mouth. Must not at all miss on these rotis.
In sabzi we had called for tawa sabzi and kofta both were well made.

Desserts we had paan ice cream, amritsari ice cream. Also jamun ice-cream which was on the house. Their paan and jamun icecream are so fresh, with hardly or little sugar, it truly was a perfect way to end our meal.

Don't miss this place if you are in Santacruz. The people preparing the food are so passionate as the name tamak suggests, you will want to go back for more!

Been ordering food from Tamak since over 4 months. The first time a friend told me about the place & described the place I wasn't to impressed by the size & location he explained. It's a very small joint with a seating for may be about 20 pax, but the food that rolls out of their kitchen is to die for.
My top dishes are
Butter chicken one of the best
Ghost dum biryani with really tender pieces of mutton
The truffle essence mixed kulcha just melts in your mouth

This place is a hidden gem. It is in a quiet corner in Santacruz and is also not very popular. But the place amazed me with amazing service, mouthwatering food and cute ambience. This place is trendy and also has that sumptuous vibe to it. The chef was there and he suggested the dishes to try. And I’m glad we took his suggestions. Food is so full of flavour and just the exact quantity, you wouldn't be wasting anything. The staff is very courteous and polite.

Let me start by saying this place is actually a hidden gem in true terms n one visiting here will surely won't be disappointed at all.. Tucked in bylanes nearby famous rajesh khanna garden this place will surprise u in many ways .. This place is bit small in terms of size but compensated for it being fantastic in other departments.. When we entered out here we were pleasantly n delightfully surprised by the decor of this place.. This 20 odd seater AC place has very relaxed n chilled out vibes n is adequately lit .. Place is given nice rustic look with pastel colours n seatings are comfortable.. Food out here is so good that you will like to eat n eat.. Taste is good, quantity is apt n presentation is top class like that of any five star restaurant.. We were served complimentary papads n masala onions after we placed our order.. We started with truffle cheese khulcha n they were absolutely amazing.. With subtle hint of chives n sea salt they tasted so good.. Dash of truffle enhanced this dish.. One will like to have more n more of this.. We then ordered for shahi Paneer samosa n wow what a dish it was.. This yummy n crispy triangles were filled up with really delicious Paneer chunks n it did go very well with mint n spicy coriander chutney served along.. It was very little oily n you won't feel a hint of oil on ur hand when u touch it.. Amazingly made.. We then ordered for kala chana shammi n these kebabs were really scrumptious n had super soft texture making it melt the moment it was kept in mouth.. This one is served with very spicy coriander chutney which made experience of having this one more enjoyable.. In main we ordered for rasgulle ki sabzi.. Yes u heard it right,a 'subzi' whichs made of spongy rasgullas.. Fried balls of chenna are cooked in a tangy and creamy gravy while preparing this one n its nice unique taste will make u have this one more n more.. We also had Paneer butter masala n this rich n delicious dish was made up of aromatic spices, cream n butter n had succulent pieces of Paneer in it.. Was very authentic in taste, simply finger licking good.. Cooker tamak Dal disappointed me a bit.. Not that it was not good but it was not spicy at all as I feel it should be n had too much of butter n cream in it.. We had all this with variety of breads.. Garlic naan n pudina laccha parantha was very nice.. Mirchi laccha Paratha was also decent.. Butter naan Paratha was OK.. Best of all was Ulta tawa Paratha.. It was very nice n one should surely try it.. As I was not happy with Dal so we ordered for rice with chole which is not mentioned in menu but they happily agreed to serve.. Chole was simply outstanding, very authentic in taste n for once I felt I was having it somewhere in punjab.. Rice was cooked well.. Overall amazing food experience.. Best thing I liked was these people were very accommodating n practical.. So if u r in small group n if u feel one portion of starters is less n two portion is more then in such scenerio they will serve starters in one n half portion too n charge u accordingly.. Loved that thing.. In desserts we had paan ice cream which has two scoops of very well made paan ice cream served in big bowl n it was very good in taste.. One coming here should surely try their phalse kulfi out here.. This Berry (jamun) stick kulfi is priced high (245 Rs) but once you have this one you will understand why they charge so much for it.. It was absolutely like having virtual jamun n it was more like sorbet so did not melt fast n was very very enjoyable.. Service was spectacular.. Server was very well behaved, had complete knowledge of food served n was always happy to help us... Price wise some might find it a ted bit expensive, specially for place, but trust me you won't regret spending that money.. Loved my experience out here n I'm surely visiting here soon to try their other delicacies which I'm sure won't disappoint me

PS - THEY SERVE STARTERS OUT HERE IN EVEN ONE N HALF PORTION N THEY DO CHARGE ACCORDINGLY .. RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED SPECIALLY ON WEEKENDS

MY RECOMMENDATIONS - Everything we had here

Food - 5/5
Service - 5/5
Ambiance - 4.5/5
Value for money - 5/5

A small 4-5 table joint on corner of 16th road will surprise you with a ride to epicures paradise for an Indian food . A perfect joint for a good connoisseur to tantalise the taste buds and all for a good reasonable cost

We ordered Chicken chur chur paratha , butter chicken , paneer parathas , amritsari chole, etc

The place is small and cosy and the staff is extremely friendly and would suggest many things

A must tick off for everyone

Would give 4.5 stars actually , 1/2 star for limited space & limited menu

Went to Tamak which is translated to Passion from a certain Hindi dialect. All this while I thought it was a mixture of Namak with something else.

2nd time going here and the food was as amazing.

We were all vegetarians. Had an amazing meal.

Starters
Truffle Kulcha - To die for
Avocado Pakoda - Good twist to Avocado - I love Avocados in all forms
Broccoli Malai - Amazing - Creamy with just the right amount of Crisp - Cooked perfectly

Drinks
Thumbs Up Masal - Just like the original street style
Jaljeera Soda - Good taste but I think I prefer the Shinkanji

Main Course
Baingan ka Bharta - Good just like the home food but with a little simple tadka - Does not.make.it.too heavy or oily just more sophisticated
Aloo - Soft perfectly cooked and good flavours
Tamak Dal - Served in a mini pressure cooker - Really good - Can have the whole thing alone.
Lacha Paratha , Ulte Tawe ka Paratha and Khamiri Roti all done perfectly.

The food was great. Will highly recommend it.
The service was great it felt as if the staff who served us were the owners . They way they talked about the food and the way they served us.

Felt very welcoming and nice.

The ambience is great also. Due it being a small and cozy place , the noise level is less. This makes it better to talk and interact. Have a good time talking and eating.

The food being great only helps keeping everyone silent .

Thanks for the meal.

Oh and forgot about the Jamun Kulfi with Kala Namak , The Pan Ice Cream and the Bengali Special ( I cannot pronounce / Write the name ) - Mix of Gulab Jamun om Bed of Rabri and Boondi. Super comfort food , supper amazing. Food Coma Guaranteed!

So, imagine this.
I am that person from Delhi who craves for authentic North Indian food in Mumbai and has tried every so called landmark restaurants in that quest.
And I am not exaggerating when I say that every dish on my table at Tamak made me swoon.
First, the staff - exceptional service.
Secondly, the thought that is put into keeping the dishes authentic is out of the world. The malai kofta IS made from khoya and paneer, melting in your mouth, like it should. The chholey with your amritsari kulcha ARE the slow cooked pindi chana as they should be. The kulcha itself was crisp and had more fillings than atta it as they should.
The galouti kabab melts in your mouth as it should.
For the experience the place gives you, it is well priced. The chutneys and the achaars that accompany the food are lovely.
It is a small place, run with love and it shows.
I am in love. And in food coma.
P.S : Try their pan ice cream and imli kulfi.

The place ought to be towards the top of every North Indian restaurant list in Mumbai. It's a small little gem of a place seemingly hidden away in the shadow of Rajesh Khanna garden in SantaCruz west. The service was just as great as the food was delicious, with really helpful and courteous staff. I'd say try anything you wish to off the menu as they all taste just as great. But definitely don't miss the laccha salad in the beginning (which they prepare on the table) and the pan ice cream in the end, just exquisite!

I tried dinner at Tamak yesterday with my family. It's a very small place with just 5-6 tables. Again table booking is must to avoid disappointment. Once inside it's a cosy air conditioned place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We ordered Amritsari fish, Truffle cheese kulcha,Lucknavi tokri chaat and two flavours of goti soda. Let me tell you the taste was awesome. The presentation is wonderful and portions are reasonable.
For the main course we had Paneer butter masala and Dal makhani with Lachha parathas and garlic naans. Very delicious.

If you have cravings for delicious Indian food, Tamak is the place to be. Chef Vikram who has started this restaurant is a nice cozy place where you get amazing veg and non veg starters. Must try are the cheese and mushroom stuffed truffle naan, tandoori jhinga and highway chicken tikka. The staff is very courteous and professional. I love the professionalism that is followed while serving each dish, they offer various creative accompaniments that enhances the flavor of the dish. They also had refreshing sugarcane juice which was my favourite. Keep up the good work and I look forward to visit back soon.

It's a small place with nothing so fancy about its decor from outside or inside, with hardly 05-06 tables that can barely accomodate 20 people at once. But still I will give this place a perfect 05 star rating. And the reason is that places like this restores our faith on Food and Entrepreneurship in Mumbai. Well crafted menu with personalized service- the moment you start ordering to the time you pay and get out, you will be in awe of this place for sure. We ordered galauti kebabs, chhole and amritsari kulcha , 02 desi drinks - sikanji and masala coke and delicious kulfis - strawberry and jamun for desert.

I haven't had this type of delicious food in a long time in Mumbai. Staff is extremely courteous , now I know why they only take people based upon prior booking as they are very particular about the overall experience of serving at Tamak.

A must visit place with your spouse, friends ! I'm going to come again and again here till the time I end up trying all their dishes.

Having read about it here... Had been wanting to try going to Tamak. It is a vry small place, which lead to quite a wait but in the end it was all worth it.. with the feel and ambience.. and the friendly servers. The little quirks in the way they present and serve the food were very thoughtful details.
The Food was piping hot and tasty. The galouti kebabs melted in the mouth. The basic dal tadka and steamed rice was as good as home made food. The pudina laccha Partha was delicious with the ghee dolloped on it.
Over all it was a nice meal and I would like to go back.
I would recommend it to people too. 🙂

Sublime. The food, presentation and portion sizes are a strong 10/10. Visit tamak if you want a break from the common dishes offered at the local Joe. The dishes are unique, the taste is on point and the presentation is aesthetically pleasing. The soya chap was my pick from the starters while the paneer tikka and sweet potato tikki were lip smacking. Subz basil makhani is stunning paired with wide variety of breads. The service is a bit slow which is off putting but I would revisit this place without a doubt.

Tamak is a small restaurant with seating for about 20 people. The restaurant offers one of the best North India food in the city with both traditional as well as modern fusion food items. We called for the Truffle Essence, Mushroom, Cheese, Sea Salt Kulcha and Tabdoori Soya Chaap for starters. The kulcha is served with Himalayan salt but I liked them as is. The chaap was flavourful and absolutely delicious. For mains, we ordered Amritsari Chhole, Chur Chur Parantha and Amritsari Kulcha. Amritsari Chole is not a very uncommon dish but to cook it so perfectly is an amazing feat achieved by the Tamak kitchen staff. To go along with the food, we called for a Jaljeera, Sweet Lassi and Kala Khatta Banta Soda. The drinks were all good but the Banta soda was a bit too sweet probably due to excess kala khatta syrup. For desserts we ordered a portion each of Jalebi Rabri and Jamun Fruit Tili wali Kulfi. The Jalebi Rabri has thin, mini jalebis which were more delicious than they looked cute. The kulfi was served on a stick as per the name with black salt which is ground on top of it in front of you. On our request the staff cut it up into pieces and served which was appreciated. The service staff were very warm, welcoming and polite. Overall had a great dinner at Tamak.

1teaspoonlove recommends Food-4/5 Ambiance-3.25/5 Service-4/5 Vfm-4/5 Return index-4/5

The best Punjabi food in Town by a long shot. Try anything there! I tried a couple of things and each was better than the next. I started with a Shikanji ( sugar-free) absolutely lip smacking! Why on and ate the tandoori mushrooms and and a few kulchas. The Stuffed mushroom n cheese kulcha with a faint trace of truffles is their signature dish and totally lives up to it. For those that can't have cheese n mushrooms your can try the chola stuffed kulcha with the tamrind sauce,,super!! I didn't eat the non vegetarian fare that day but will try it n post soon. The butter chicken i am told us the Delhi style butter chicken so that will be my next try. All the spices are sourced from Delhi. This place is a totally hidden gem... The seating is limited so book ahead and go early.
