One of the oldest veg restaurant that's best known for veg food and much loved by families. Be it many of breakfast items served here or the legendary thali, it has never failed to impress. The service remains fairly nice. Some of the must have here is Gujarati thali Punjabi thali, pav bhaji and misal.

We had a visit to the Maharaja Kamath which is located at chembur on the main road. The place is nice to visit. While travelling we stopped here for the dinner. We ordered here the Dal Makhani and Panner Makhani with butter roti which was great.

Food is good recently I orderd sabudana khichdi and sabudana wada, sabudana khichdi was served with chilled dahi and it was tasty.

one of the best hotels for South Indian food in Chembur. But though it's famous for it's south Indian Menu, I would really suggest to try Kolhapuri Misal out here. Spice gravy with crunchy farsan and with that softness of Bread makes your meal perfect. Little overpriced but worth spending here.
It's been some time since I have been here, though the Pav Bhaji and Pizza here used to be my favorites. This food has some delicious "veg food" and if you haven't been here yet, you should surely take a trip to this place and try some of their dishes. Had ordered Thali. Very good quality food. They even made Tricolor Dhokla as Republic Day Special :) Basundi was yum and so was the paneer vegetable. Everything is well packed. So thoughtful of them to add a small packaged bottle too
If u living in chembur...u must b a sadguru fan...but these days it is becoming too crowded and the taste is also becoming generic...
Maharana Kamath once was v costly and we used to avoid it as we found sadguru more economical but waiting in line there is very taxing...
This made us enter Maharana Kamath after v long time...we were amazed to know that the prices were at par with sadguru...
Now coming back to food...we ordered pav bhaji, veg handi, pizza, puri, Manchurian and lot more items...all were wonderfully tasty...the taste was much better than sadguru...
The service is quite slow...on asking the guy to be a bit quick he gave a rude reply...that the food is being made fresh and dts y the delay...

Though sounds to be one of the most boring places around in Chembur, they serve good breakfast. The misal Pav and poha are must try. They also serve unlimited breakfast post 8am and is wisely priced at ₹149. Has a good variety of 4-5 breakfast dishes on the menu everyday. The only disadvantage is that 8am is too late for breakfast for a southie like me.
Overall decent food though a few items may make you feel that it is not worth what you pay.

Review : Misal Pav is different from the Maharashtrian style which you get served at all places. But it is excellent.
Kanda Poha is a little sweet but added spice makes tastes fit to eat.

Other views : Home delivery has more quantity. Also they have morning breakfast for Rs. 149 unlimited, selected from a range of items (serving buffet style).

This place has the best rasam idli! The rasam packs a garlic punch. It feels like a darshini of Bangalore. Also, their masala dal khichdi is an amazing dish. These are my go to dishes despite trying most of their menu. They are my sunday morning saviour for a breakfast delivery.

The thali (which they deliver home) is a force to reckon with. Could easily feed a tiny village of thali-loving humans. I have often contemplated shutting my kitchen down, and living off the Maharana thali ordered maybe once or twice a week. That I haven't only paints the need for more out-of-the-box implementation.
Also, if memory serves me right, the rotis had generous dollops of ghee.

Almost everytime I take a trip out of Mumbai, Maharana Kamath has been the perfect choice to grab a quick bite. It could be just for a juice, tea or coffee. Moreover they have a rest room too that is necessary for road travel.
South Indian dishes are a good option here. On this visit, I felt the place quite dark n dingy. The dishes we ordered took long to come to the table.
I didn't enjoy the dahi missal I ordered at all. Felt uneasy the rest of the day. Sandwich, sada dosa and masala uttapam was decent to taste. However the sambhar was tad bit salty with floating coconut in it. Filter coffee was very refreshing.
On the whole some hits and misses here. But I will still visit Kamaths for old times sake. Old is gold, come what may.
