The Food and service were both excellent. The ambiance was homely . Live Music, specially the portuguese / Konkani favorites makes one nostalgic & enhances the "Goa Experience". A delectable haven for seafood lovers. They donβt charge any tax on drinks.
We particularly tried the Goan menu and found the preparations especially the fish exquisite. Must Try Dishes: Caldo Verde Soup, Prawns Rissios, Stuffed Crab, Tender Coconut Bhaji and Prawns curry, in dessert Caramel custard and bibinca.
Dr. Suhas Awchat is a gracious host and pays personal attention to each guest.
I'm definitely visiting this place again and this time with a bigger group.

I get mad when am asked if I wish to hv bottled water in any restaurant. My view is that hotels shld earn through their food n not water.
At GPR, I was asked if I wish to hv regular water ... It was a different question and I could say a straight YES.

Great choice of Food on the menu right from South Indian to Malwani and Goan dishes!! The Bombil Fry and the Goan fish curry with white rice is a great combination to go for! The Kerala food is not up to the mark, simply because they donβt use coconut oil to cook the food.

This iconic restaurant celebrates 28 successful years and loyal patrons still relish the authentic Goan-Portuguese food that this place is synonymous with. Each Goan dish is a confluence of flavours and founder and Chef Deepa Awchat has obviously got her spice mixes right.Β The bebinca and dodol notwithstanding, I still prefer my creamy caramel custard to round off my meal. I visited goa portuguesa after about 25 years and this iconic restaurant still serves wonderful goan food. They have a seating capacity of close to 30-35 guests and it gives me the fell of goa as we step inside the restaurant.
We orderes chicken vindaloo along with some pav , and 2 freshlime sodas.
Damages to the pocket- Rs 849 (approx US $ 11.25 ) inclusive of 10% service charge and 5% gst.
Overall experience - amazing food , great service and outstanding ambience. I would rate this place 4.5 on 5. Would love to come back again and try their different variety of dishes and also would reccomend it to people who love goan food.

It's an excellent place for food, the food is yummy as well a perfect mixture of the cuisines and place. Mutton Ghee roast must try, stuffed prawns in bombil. Our server Vikas was very courteous and was well versed with the menu.

Perfectly strated with crab kalimiri soup followed by stuff bombil, Andhra chicken and mutton ghee roast. A finger licking recipe with a friendly service makes u lose your count of food. A must try place if you are in and around dadar and mahim.

The crab soup tastes wonders. The ambiance is quiet nice. Waiters are humble and the owner comes to your table and have a small chat. Pro tip: They give a special discount between monday to friday if you speak in Marathi with the owner and staff.

Catching up for a quick lunch in this particular joint was on our bucket list since a long time.
Wooooahhh! What a day to go..14th Febπ.
We were welcomed with beautiful gesture, flowers for every girl on this special day.
The entry was touching.
So we escorted by Sonu, who made us comfy while we rested in one of the tables.
As thrilled we were , we tried to keep our excitement to ourself.
After rushing through the menu and tempted to try all.sadly,our tiny tummy could not fit them all.
Sonu was our guide and helped us choosing the right dish with smile, grace and courtesy.

Portuguese Chicken

The hot delicious stuffed prawns were jus amazing.
The chicken roulde melted in our mouth and were quite filling.
The Portuguese chicken was prepared in a different style and was going wel along with the most delicious appam ever had.

Had their coconut cashew sukke curry with appam. It was simply amazing. Even for a vegetarian, I had a blast. The dishes are full of flavour and the staff is amazing too. Also drank the orange mint cooler ehich was fantastic as well. It was a great experience. Definitely worth going to over and over again.

The closest it has come to authentic Goan food... The rawa fry can still be better but the fish curry is something that almost tastes like the one you get in Goa. The service and ambience is also really good. You really feel like you are in the bylanes of south Goa.
This has been one of my favorite restobars in Mumbai. Good place for seafood lovers. Its a cozy place serves Konkan cuisines. I would go with 4 stars, but one more star for meeting the owner, who has passion for food & food lovers :-)
