This place is love. An absolute delight to spend an relaxing evening with your friends. The open terrace area is a perfect place to unwind after a long hectic week. The food good. Staff is courteous and attentive.

What a view! These are the first few words that come to my mind and my lips whenever I visit Clod 9 and then comes “Oh yes I shall place my order too.” The dome of the Taj looks magnificent from the terrace and so does the Tandoori chicken platter. The soothing ambience somehow overpowers the genuineness of the cuisine and you end up getting confused whether you enjoyed the food, the ambience, the soothing companionship of a good crowd sitting next to you or a combination of all of these. food is tasty and reasonable price.mostly Indian. it's a great roof with a view.and best if all its peaceful. no stereo blaring shit euro music .you can watch the cricket inside if you like.service is relaxed and friendly. like it.
Nice place with good ambience. They have both outdoor as indoor sitting available. You can see Taj from there. We ordered veg food, and it was good.

Go here for the ambience. Although while sitting (outside) the view isnt much because they have low chairs and high walls (dont know why !!), the overall sense of openess and space is beautiful. Through the indoor glass you can see the sea but the best use of this place is to sit on the terrace which provides beautiful views of Colaba. Its a very casual space so don't expect culinary innovations but all in all its a great place to get a drink and munch on some snacks.
Great place great view... One of the nicest rooftops in colaba.. Not known to many ppl hence less crowded and good fun... Its a must go to place during rain and winter

The rooftop experience was very beautiful😙.. as at one side both the Taj hotels (old &new) were dazzling in their sunshine yellow.. and at other side Aamchi Mumbai.. sea view was good.. good ambience and hospitality.. Got 15% off on my axis card😉..
Had been here for a reunion party. Amazingly located. Love the ideas of those white chairs ad tables. Give a very royal feel. We had a buffet set menu. The food was amazing and delicious. Well mannered staff.
If you love rooftops or sea view or both well my friends this place is just that. One side you can see prestigious taj and just sea and ports all around. Sooo thats about the ambience i just happen to be there for a very little time will definately go back soon
Its an hideout in colaba, difficult to find coz of the easy to miss lane. The ambience is jus super nice with a view of Taj hotel top and the Arabian sea. The air is soothing.
Coning to the food, fish fingers were great rest chicken dishes were ok types. The staff is friendly and nice. Though service is slow and food gets bit cold when it arrives in front of you maybe coz the kitchen is at the ground floor.
Still can visit for the view.
Open terrace and the Arabian Sea view alongside Taj is just marvellous. So I had this bad cold and we stopped by to have a cup of coffee here. Adding this place to the list of 'visit again'. Would want to try out more things here.

Being close to the sea it was windy and that was the best thing about this place.

A hideout in Colaba ! Went there as a last resort on a busy Friday night, but was pleasantly surprised ! Great ambiance, good food and good prices ! Must visit if you want to have a laid-back, non-noisy evening with friends ! Food - tandoori items were all good !
The ambience is just so cozy and all you want to do is look around the beauty of south Bombay from this roof top restaurant. The seating in the terrace makes the place look classic old school.
The tandoor starters are really not to be missed! on weekends, they put the tandoor out side in the terrace and you can order whichever kebab as per your choice. However, the food is extremely over-priced (INR-450 for a plate of chicken lollipop chinese style not tandoor).
Even the bar menu is not decently priced.
The Service is good, the staff is attentive and helpful with food suggestions.
I have been here a couple of times and I feel it is a little over rated. The view this place has to offer is beautiful. Great view of South Bombay which is hard to find at such reasonable rates.
Ambience: A neat and tidy terrace on Hotel Godwin. It's nothing fancy but a nice place to chill with friends.
Food: Good food and alcohol at reasonable rates. We have usually ordered only bar snacks and starters which have been good.
Service: Friendly attentive and pleasant staff.
Overall it is a pleasant experience and a good quiet place to catchup with friends with no over loud music, a great view and decent on the wallet.
perched atop a hotel in one of the quieter and lesser known lanes of Colaba, Cloud 9 exudes old world elegance and charm with it's striking white metal furniture and stunning views of the Taj and other landmarks in the area.
Recommended time of the visit would be 6:30 pm for the best views before and after sunset (the lamps too are very old world-ish and pretty!)
As for the food, there is nothing exceptional - regular fare at reasonable 'fares'. since i went with parents, we kept the order simple - one chicken curry, tandoori chicken and naan.

Honest to God! I thought this super pretty place had long since shut down.
Made me smile to see this name pop up and took me into a DCH-type flashback to 2000-2002 when the place was brand spankin' new.
Cloud 9 is located on the top floor of Hotel Godwin, and at that point of time, with a very anemic wallet in tow, I thought it was THE prettiest vantage point in SoBo. I may have seen a bit more of the world since then but its charm is undeniable.
Imagine...you have a wealthy friend with a plush penthouse bachelor pad close to Radio Club with a huge terrace and a kitschy taste in home decor. It is divided into two areas: an indoors area separated from a large terrace by French windows.
Two rooms with Venetian 'galleries' on a higher floor overlook this open terrace space.
Walk out onto the terrace on a cool evening, and you'd want to have an open invite from that wealthy friend to spend every spare evening here. Walk left, lean over and you'd see the Taj Mahal hotel and a view of the water. Walk right, lean over and you'd see the pretty Wellington Mews and Churchgate area in the distance. The terrace itself is kitschy cool with a terra cotta tiled floor, white wrought iron furniture spaced out generously, and Grecian columns along the periphery.
Indeed, it's a wonderful space to spend time in with friends and/or loved ones, especially during Mumbai winters.
Back then, the food was just fine. Indeed, I thought it was pretty good. Been much water under the bridge and I hope to go back at least once...maybe for a wintery beer.

The food is decent , none of the dishes served here are trademark dishes nor any super tasty..so dont expect something great... whatever you order , it is served well..
Wicked place. Good prices and discount during monsoon. If they say there is a private party just ask to sit outside right away and you should be fine if you're a small group.

Rooftops being one of the most peaceful and soothing environments. Casual place,cute ambiance,good service,good food and good drinks all with a beautiful view. This place is just pretty and peaceful. Nothing else even matters.
One of the best rooftop views from Colaba, this place is not known to many as its in the interiors. Visited this place during the monsoon...the ambience here was just perfect, with alcohol priced at regular rates the place couldn't get much better. Food menu was quite small and the taste was just average or below. Staff here are friendly and get your order quick.

Being monsoon, it was covered but since the weather was good, it was pleasant sitting outside. We were the only group there not drinking. Whatever we ordered for dinner was pretty decent but the service was a bit slow. Good experience overall.
I really don't wanna write this review. Since I don't want a lot of people to know about this place. This is the prettiest place in Mumbai I have ever been. The view from here is fab. Absolutely lovely. I'm short of words for this place.

It is one of the mot amazing places in town nearby. Starting with its ambiance and staff everything is 5/5. Its beverages and mocktails are awesome. It is one of the most romantic places every visited on a roof top side where it has out door sitting and indoor seating as well. I havent yet tried the food but will surely try next time i go there. Amazing place for a couple to spent time.

Forgive my horrific photography, for it does no justice to the view this bar offers you in what most my consider the prettiest part of Mumbai. Drinks are cheap, the decor is quaint, it's outdoors and it's in the vicinity of other restaurants galore.
The only negative, the elevators are so small you feel like a hamster in an iron
box.

Best place to have a quiet drink with an outstanding view of South Mumbai. The food is very average. This is a nice place to catch the sunset before you head off for your night out.
After strolling through the streets of colaba, we found this place just behind the taj. Go there for a splendid view and quiet ambience, though you will find service and food ok but the view from this part of the world wash away everything.
