One of my favorite types of sweets hands down has got to be Bengali sweets and what better place to visit to have Bengali sweets other than sweet Bengal. I had previously been to the Powai outlet and loved the desserts over there.

Here at this establishment I tried:

1) Gurer malai chomchom : One of my all time favorites at this place has got to be this dessert. Firstly the chomchom in itself is immaculate and tastes amazing. To top it of the chomchom is topped with some malai which makes it taste even more better. Would strongly recommend this sweet if you're visiting this place for the first time or if you're having a Bengali sweet other than Gulab Jamun and rasgula for the first time.

2) Mango chomchom : Both of my favorite flavors, I thought that it would again taste amazing, but surprisingly it didn't taste that good. The Mango flavor didn't taste good, you could easily tell that they had used some artificial flavor or some type of a jam which made it taste very very sweet and which was the main reason to spoil the taste for me. Wouldn't recommend this dish.

On the whole I gave it a 4 star as I know this place has a bunch of other desserts that are heavenly and didn't want to do injustice to them. Service again was very good.

Service 4.5/5

A decade ago I used to regularly buy sweets from Sweet Bengal outlets. Then, one day I had a slightly disappointing experience and I stopped buying sweets from there. Now recently, on the insistence of a friend I went to this Sweet Bengal outlet, and I am very happy to be reintroduced. Now, once again, itโ€™s a regular feature in my life.

Ordered assorted Bengali sweets online today for parents on the occasion of Dussehra. Was impressed that the order was picked up by a Zomato rider (allowing live tracking) and promptly delivered.
Coming to sweets from Sweet Bengal, they always have a variety on offer and each sweet is unique, tasty and fresh. We have been buying sweets from this particular shop since years now and have never been disappointed, be it the Bengali sweets or the dry fruit mithai. The mishti doi however is too rich and creamy (almost greasy) for my taste but overall, it's always a good experience.

We guys have a really sweet tooth and especially for Indian sweets. We always wait for their most iconic festival Durga Puja to arrive so that we can feast on their delicious sweets๐Ÿ˜‹. But now we won't have to wait and can have such amazing sweets whenever we feel like it at this particular sweet shop๐Ÿ˜. We tried their Baked Rosogolla, Rosmalai, Samosa, Gurer Bhapa Sondesh, Gurer Malai Chomchom. Our favourite ones were Baked Rosogolla, Samosa and Gurer Malai Chomchom. They were so amazing that it took me straight to Bengal and made me want to say "Aami Tomake Bhalo Bhashi" which means I Love You in English.

Misti Doi - the only close one to Kolkata in Mumbai. Few items are ordinary but others are awesome with authentic bengali taste. Mr. Anjan Chatterjee should be serious to lift the spirit of this ardently potential sweets shop chain in Mumbai like his other ventures.

Overpriced but don't mind paying for authentic taste. Baked Rosogolla and Malai Langcha are must try.

Sweet bengal is really sweet.
The sweets made in jaggery, baked sweets, snacks, no words. They are so tempting, and best thing is you are eating sweet, with no guilt, as they are healthy, because of jaggery.
Staff needs to be trained, about guiding the product.
Otherwise 100/100.

Was introduced to this place by a friend, who insisted on me trying the Kheer Kodom. Needless to say that I wasn't disappointed and have been going to the place ever since. Tried out different sweets during my various visits. During those visits the Baked Rosogolla, Malai Sandwich and Rosomalai were also added to my list. The place is a bit pricy, but I don't mind that too much cause I know the kind of quality I'm getting in return.

Growing up in mumbai meant the only connection to bengali sweets for most were the rosogullas.. Sweet bengal introduced us to a whole new delicious world of bengali sweets.

If you are bored of the usual pedhas, barfis, Kaju katlis then this is the place to try a whole new plethora of sweets.. These guys have an awesome variety of bengal sweets in addition to the usual gulab/kala jamuns.

I have had most of the sweets here but my favourites are the mango cham cham, rosomalai, gurer malai chamcham, kala jamun, and the heavenly angoori rasmalai.

Thing i felt ok was their baked rosogulla..although the concept is nice, but it doesn't ring my taste buds.

They also serve some snacks items but yet to taste them as they get over quickly.

Bengali sweets for me have always been Rasgullas and those multi colored rasgullas topped with cream that normal shops sell saying Bengali sweets. However Sweet Bengal has taken Bengali sweets to a different level by giving so many options and keeping everything authentic.

This time it was a treat from my Bengali friend Miss Chaterjee so after lunch we went to Sweet Bengal as I have a habit of eating sweets after any meal.

The shop is easy to locate as itโ€™s on the main road. The options are huge however some sweets were not looking fresh. The staff is quick but they donโ€™t smile. Price wise itโ€™s not costly.

My Order Was โ€“
1 Ras Malai.
1 Chom Chom.
1 Langcha. (Gulab Jamun)

Ras Malai was flat rasgulla dipped in pista saffron milk. Trust me you will not stop eating this dish and drinking the milk. It was perfect and tasty at the same time. The rasgulla was soft and nice the milk had nice flavor of saffron and little of elaichi along with pista. This dish should not be missed.

Chom Chom was rasgulla again topped with dry mawa I guess. This was excellent again. The rasgulla dint had a lot of sugar syrup in it however it was perfectly sweet. The mawa adds more flavor to it as itโ€™s not sweet hence the entire chom chom gets a balanced taste.

Langcha was the basic gulab jamun that you get anywhere. It was a basic sweet so no more commenting on that.

So Sweet Bengal is really serving some mind-blowing authentic Bengali Sweets. Do give it a shot if you are tired eating the normal milk mawa based sweets.

Sweet Bengal must be everyone's go to place for Bengali Sweets. Sweet Bengal easily has the best, most goeey and delicious sweets one can find. Right from the Rasgulla, to the Sandesh, to the Malai Chom Chom to the Cream Chom Chom. One factor that I really love about the place is that the sweets are priced individually. It caters brilliantly to the lone diner who wants to satisfy his sweet craving but does not really want to buy half a kilo of the sweets. Service has almost always been really fast and its a quick in and out of the place. A must visit!

Hands down my most favorite sweet shop in Mumbai, given that my parents spent a lot of time in Bengal at the beginning of their marital life and brought a lot of their culture, food etc. in our daily lives, I love Bengali sweets, which unfortunately are not readily available in Mumbai, especially their authentic preparation. Well, either go to the Durga Pujo pandals once a year to feast on them or go to Sweet Bengal outlets, the only drawback being the price! It is so exorbitantly priced. But anything for the exotic taste, right? :Dย

Especially love the evergreen soft Rosogulla, sinful Jolbhora, my favorite smooth & velvety Kheer Kodom and my mom's favorite Nalen Gurer Sondesh! Once I go to the outlet and just look at all the delicacies displayed, it becomes impossible to choose just one. This outlet is actually frequented by my sister who picks up my favorites coming back from her office :)

I first encountered Sweet Bengal sweets at a Durgo pujo pandal last year. I first balked at the idea of paying Rs. 25 for a tiny piece of nolen gurer sondesh but I am so glad I did! The service at that counter, even in the middle of probably 500 other people and sweltering, humid mumbai heat was so prompt and polite. Extra points just for that. :) :)

I wondered if they would be as nice at their shop. They were! They're always patient, polite and kind and take a lot of joy in their work. :) :)

Their sweets are so great that I can't even write coherently about them. Even though I have tried a bit of everything since that pujo last year, nolen gurer sondesh will always remain my favorite. The flavor, the consistency, the softness, the aroma - everything is just breathtaking! I will keep ordering from them. I doubt I can stop. I mean I could but why would I want to? :) :)

An amazing Bengali sweet chain spread across Mumbai! Things to try out for sure:

1) Cream chomchom - Rich, creamy and delectable. It is a treat to the taste buds and reasonably priced as well!

2) Baked Rosogulla - Imagine your juicy Rosogulla topped off with condensed milk and baked lightly. Heaven isnt it? That is just the feeling you get in each bite!

3) Mishti Dohi - Though not the authentic rendition, the dohi is nice and ends the meal on a good note.
