We always order their masala dosa nd veg biryani. This is my all time favorite. We are following this restaurant from a really long time.
We are eating food from Madras Bhuvan for atleast 20 years now and it's quite commendable that their taste is still same. We order from them on every special occasion especially new year. Our personal favourite is their Punjabi Thali which comes loaded with delicacies enough for 2 people. Our recommendation to try at Madras Bhavan.

We will rate Madras Bhuvan 4/5 for it's welcoming staff , timely service , low prices and tasty food. Only thing they need to work on is their ambience as it seems quite dull. When in locality near Kalbadevi Madras Bhuvan is a must try.

One of the best South Indian Food place in Kalbadevi area / Princess Street / Dawa Bazaar. Easy to find and is famous too but if you cant then simply reach Kalbadevi road and ask anyone for this place. Try their Uttappa and Dosas and you will love it.
This is one of the best south indian restaurant in kalbadevu, princess street area. All Southie items namely Onion Uttappa, Mysore Sada Dosa, Idli Sambhar are excellent. The best thing about this restaurant is the taste of its Sambhar....its yummy. Try their limited Thali too, its good.

This place is really great ,food is very nice, Dal khichdi is my all time favorite the restaurant is clean and hygenic and food is really tasty. The staff is friendly especially one waiter named Shinde. I go there often and never get disappointed..
Looking out for a place where in you can have a thali! Well this place offers you Punjabi thali as well as lunch plate. I am fond of the lunch plate, a outlet nearby my office and often hit up here for lunch. Surely recommend for a delightful lunch.

This cost little vintage place is known for it's superb South Indian dishes. Some of the staff here are working at this restaurant for than 25 years. Their Punjabi Curry like paneer bhurji and Veg kolhapuri are absolutely fantastic.
A good place for south Indian food lovers. Masala dosa and Idli Chutney are must tries over here, visiting here during the peak hours may not give you great experience..

I chanced upon this outlet with a friend while looking for a place to have breakfast on a Sunday morning. I must say I got lucky!
If you're in the area and craving some delicious South and North Indian cuisine at super cheap rates, visit Madras Bhuvan without any hesitation.
There's a Non-AC and AC section as well for seating. This eatery is pure vegetarian.
I've tried many dishes on my multiple visits here and I'd recommend to order South Indian dishes anytime. I was surprised by the quality of Dosa and Uttapam. The sambhar was so delicious that you'd ask for more and more. They charge for extra sambhar though. Other dishes worth trying are Puri Chhole, Veg Pulav and Filter Coffee.
Avoid Chinese dishes (noodles, etc).
Wash your food down with their chilled masala chhaas or sweet lassi (one of the thickest and creamiest here).
Though it's named by Madras bhavan but u will get almost everything here, If Ur a vegetarian a must try restaurant. U will get good south Indian as well as north Indian food. Evn I tried Chinese food here it was prettty good and not a waste money.

Today I had been to Madras bhuvan and we've ordered uttapam and masala dosa. One of the best uttapam I've ever eaten. Masala dosa was quite good. Amazing ambience.
Located in prime area of Marine lines, Madras bhavan is known for its reasonable pricing policy and food quality. The staff is also quite friendly here.
"Puri bhaji" is one of the first choice of the people coming here. Must try dish.
Other one I ordered was Potato Fried.
It wasn't up to mark and had no taste at all.
Not the kind you'd expect to find good south indian. Settled for this place as we were too tired to find any other place. But I think we made a good decision. The order was simple. Idli and Mysore Masala Dosa. But the portion size and taste was really good. The size of the Idli was the kind i'd find in any good place in Bangalore. The dosa was crisp and huge. The masala in the dosa was near to authentic. Reminded me of Bangalore. The sambhar was spot on. Spicy, a bit tangy and sweet at the same time.
Dont belittle these small joints. Not every little place is bad.
Punjabi food served at this place is highly recommended. The best part about the place is when I ask them to customise the flavour of any vegetable to satiate my taste buds.. they promise it and live up to it.. Always happy while stepping out of this place.p

Hey I have been residing near this place, have any of u ever tried paneer bhurji here. Please try it it's lip smackingly gud. Don't think dat u get such bhurji any Wer. Try their sambhar rice as well.
Today had been to Madras Bhuvan for lunch, we had a Punjabi Thali and I loved the Thali that was served. And also a Masala Uttapam which was good to eat and the staff there was quite responsive some overall it's worth a visit again.

I am a fan of the Jain Punjabi dishes served here. The smell of the hot and tasty vegetable is what I call as perfect. The staff is absolutely amazing and the food is served very quickly and it is made sure that all your needs are cared for with a smile on the staff's face. I am very happy with the quality of the food as well. I would recommend this place to all who love Punjabi and South Indian food. This place has thousand times better food than any other relatively expensive restaurants in South Mumbai.

These are just some of my favorites. Also when u order Naan or kulcha make sure you tell him to make it crispy. I would have given it 5/5 if not for the really thick Naan and chapati.
Overall I would say if you are a North Indian foodie this place is a must must try. I cannot stress enough on how great the Punjabi food is!

It is a really old restaurant in the area and is majorly frequented by the office goers and immediate residents. Used to go here quite frequently when I was living close by. Doesn't have much of an ambience but the food is tasty, of great quality and at pocket friendly prices. It has very authentic flavours for the south indian options and the north indian fare is great too! Literally grown up on the Paneer Bhurji from here!

Awesum punjabi food... Chinese is also good..cost is more on the cheap side. Meal for 2 will cost any thing around 400-500. Bt worth the money for punjabi ...

I ordered their thali after reading fantastic reviews but i must say that i was not really impressed by the taste of food. It seemed to be okay. Nonetheless the buttermilk glass (although small in size) and gulab jamun 1 pc were tasty. Add to it the paan shot at the end of your meal and you would not compaint.
Mind boggling South Indian food. Highly recommended.

Today I tried the Madras bhuvan dinner...i tried fix Panjabi test...the test was amazing...and the best thing wasthe rotis made by wheat...there was three subji given by restaurant...the dal rice was good...and the staff service are also good....there was a good experience to taken food .... thank you ...!!!

Okay place for a quick bite
I had posted earlier but would like to point out a few things. Now that the place is renovated and i guess new management cooks it misses out on the old charm. Lots of new dishes added and prices raised by 2/3 times. No more my go to place.
