Paya soup is awesome. you must try this.
Sanjay restaurant is one of the oldest restaurant in chembur which serves very good sindhi chicken and specialy famous in chembur for paya soup
Excellent paya soup place. Simple and very basic setup.
Try the brain keema (not something you get at a lot of places) and the sindhi style mutton.
Ordered tandoori masala with lacha paratha. Extremely yummy with huge quantity. Great value for money. But service is slow once we place the order. Must try place.
The mutton keema is simply the best in Bombay
please add mutton kofta to order list
36. Sanjay Restaurant, Chembur – This road facing restaurant provides you a Cuisine with an authentic north Indian sreet food. It has a menu with non veg foodstuffs. It is famous for its Tandoori chicken, Paaya soup, kebabs, Bheja fry.
Paaya soup:–
The tastiest soup for a non veg lover can only be paaya soup that is offered by this restaurant. A proper combination of spice and sourness bought the soup into limelight.
They have the best staff and service and all the dishes have its own unique taste, quite pocket friendly, highly recommended.
Awesome Paya soup , tawa style chicken/mutton Biryani’s , white tandoori chicken also special mutton items like Bheja keema and mutton Kofta. This place is too good for non vegetarians
1 and I have been working on the same for the last few months and I am currently working on the project management role at the moment so I will be able for the project
excellent food quality with reasonable rates.must try....mutton keema n chicken drumsticks.......go for it.... amazing..... thank you.perfect blend of chicken n spices
First of all, I would like to tell you that this restaurant served us from 12:10 AM to 12:40am So, +0.5 for that
This is a minimal requirement restaurant and not a place you explicitly go to
The food here is cheap, has wholesome chicken pieces.
The place is small and the preparation is also done in the open.
This place was once called Sobhraj may be 25 years ago...later the management changed and now its Sanjay. For meat lovers esp mutton this is heaven. The mutton rara which has on the bone meat has keema in the gravy, its a two in one dish. Have it with tandoori pav or chappatis which is not recommended. they dont have tandoori rotis. For vegetarians you will get only onions and water. So Veg guys pls avoid. The bhejha and keema too are delicious. Have bhejha and keema together with pav and drown your sorrows with the gravies. Also the mutton liver and the kapoora ( testicles) tawa fry. Chicken masala is good but we always stick to the mutton items only.Opens at around noon till late 1 am or so. Ideal go to place particularly after a late night party...cheers
This place always gets lost or hidden.
The place is very small and limited menu.
The chicken masala is really simple but with really nice spices.
Chicken gravy rice is a thing to die for.
Extremely pocket friendly. If broke then this place will fill your hungry tummy.
Humble request- the owners need to work upon the hygiene of the restaurant.
Ps: not a place for vegetarian, as they just have onions n cabbage for you guys
You don't get paya soup easily these days in Mumbai. And as the years will roll by, it might just go off the menu of restaurants. In the meanwhile enjoy what ever you get, wherever you get. Because this dish and other items like kaleji or gurda are very healthy.
This place servers all the goodies cooked well at a very affordable price. Seating is just four basic tables and not much of an ambiance.
Food is surprisingly very tasty , though the paya soup was not cooked over coals, it's still ok.
This restaurant is on the main road and can be easily seen by the handis which dominate the entrance. Service is fast. Don't bother much about hygiene though.
Great place for paya soup and mutton masala.... Deliciously cooked, fast service and reasonable price. Not for the ones who are looking for ambience and hygiene. Must try place
If you're a cleanliness OCD one, please stay away from this place.
It used to be called Sobhraj once upon a time & has always been one of the best Non veg joints in Chembur.
Starting from their Paya Soup which is simply delicious & spicy. It's worth each penny or even more that it costs. If you're visiting here dont even think of skipping that.
Apart from that, their Mutton Keema Pattice served with moreeee Keema is again insane and a must try for everybody.
They sell Mutton Masala per KG & you might find it much expensive than in normal restaurant but the way they make it is equally unique as their gravy itself is based with Mutton Keema.
Other dishes that you can try here are
Chicken Masala - Pretty awesome (Speak to them in Sindhi & he might give you more fleshy pieces)
Bheja Fry, Kaleji etc
It is a tiny little place in Chembur Camp but the food is amazing. Especially the non veg. Must try their mutton kebabs and their biryani is awesome. Have only ordered take away from here, I don't think they have place for dining in.
Small rustic space, easy to miss. The food was awesome, I loved their sheek kebab, bheja masala and Sindhi mutton. Swiggy it if u want an ambience
The Food was so delicious and value for Money. The Quantity and Quality of Food was superb.
The food taste is good. The chicken quality is nice. Its isn't the rubbery chicken that you have to keep on chewing forever. Chicken is fresh. Serving is good.
Best non veg food and it's famous for paya soup and brain masala best taste and good service overall nice place
One of the oldest and traditional restaurants Food is just marvelous no competion
Delicious Mutton preparations ! Must visit for all Mutton lovers !
Delicious brain masala. Enjoyed best scooped out with a fluffy pav to soak in the juicy gravy. Yup, it’s oily and sinful.
Good place to eat some tandoor items like kebabs, chicken tandoori also paya soup served here is the best among other restaurants.
This is a traditional Sindhi restaurant family owned and managed. The food is home style cooked with age old recipes passed from generations, with its modest and humble decor the place has its own charm in a crowded culinary space of Bombay, the food is freshly cooked and served, the service is friendly and prices are a joke, its ridicously cheap. Its a must go to place, especially Sindhi mutton with Pav it's fantastic. Put it down in your bucket list.
It is very old timer food joint for nonveg lovers in Chembur camp, especially who loves tangy spicy paya soup, kheema pav. Though I am not a non-veg eater, had been there with friends!
Best place to Eat Non Veg Dishes,Specially Paya soup and Chinese dishes.
I have been regular visitor to this place since my childhood days only change taken place is shop name and management the waiters are polite and respectful as its need of hour
Speciality of the restaurant is paya soup mutton keema kebab and brain masala. One has to eat there to experience.
My Chembur is famous for its road side eatery's come one come all to experience and of course wallet full 😁😁😁.
