Good place not a very great ambience but the food is good. One of the oldest place. I order patav bhaji and was very tasty really loved the taste and the pav was very buttery.
Swagat veg treat restaurant is located at dadar east.. This outlet is famous for Chinese food, they have various Chinese food which are amazing in taste also they are at reasonable price. Must try it out :)
One of the oldest in Dadar East... Tava Pulav, Cheese Pulav, Ragda pattice and Veg Manchurian is the best.. Alu Palak is his speciality... Can guarantee.... no one can prepare like the way they do....
Swagat veg treat .
Located in the dadar east.
Staff service is good and so fast.
Taste of all food is best.
Ambiance of this place is best...
One of the oldest restaurant in Dadar. It's located near Dadar TT circle.
The ambiance is basic but food is good I specially love their Ragda Pattice it is very different.
Good restaurant with affordable price. Over all small place with some good specific items.
A good place for the vegetarian people!!. Ordered sev puri , those who love sev puri will definitely enjoy it . I m not a vegetarian fan , can't judge much .. ordered American chopsuey, which was really tasty. For the first time I enjoyed veg food.
I ordered veg manchow soup and veg fried rice along with veg Manchurian. It was palatable. I ask for spicy. But they served less spicy n less seasoning.
Ambience 6/10
Food 6/10
Value for money 7/10
Thank you 😃
A good place for take aways over dine in
It has an amazing strategic location across Dadar TT ...but the place is an absolute low key
Best part is that the place is Oppen till midnight n delivers on time
I am emotionally attached to this place. Its an aura of this place, my perents were reguler at this place in their young age and now i visit this place with my son.

Ragda Pattice
Pav Bhaji
Tawa Pulav
Pani Puri
Pocket friendly place.
This place has always been dear to my heart. Since a small teen, I used to go to swagat with my grandmother to eat dahi batata puri and Pav bhaji. The taste of the dishes is still the same. It’s a very small place but the most iconic and oldest ! Love it’s Pav bhaji, dal khichdi, veg pulao, and ofcourse my most favorite dahi batata puri! I have been seeing one short looking boy serving the customers since I started going when I was a kid! He manages the best. Really like his hard work and dedication 😊🙏🏻
Centered in the heart of Mumbai- Dadar is famous for its various types of delicious outlets.
If you are a foodie, you must take a pit stop to taste this mouth watering Pav Bhaji at
SWAGAT Restaurant located in Dadar East, most probably the area is known as Dadar TT.
The Pav-Bhaji costs around 90 Rs , but when the first bite enters your mouth, you are truly lost in its taste.
More smoother than Cadbury Silk , it melts in your mouth as you taste it.
Worth a try.
Good in taste. Affordable... Not expensive...Good to have a little snacks......Service is too good....Small restaurant...But good to go.....Max item is available
Two words pronounced almost in a similar way in Hindi and English. Chaat in hindi and Chat in English. Of course these words have no connection when it comes to dictionary meanings. But I find some connection between these two terms.Meanings of these terms are : Chat : talk in a friendly and informal wayChaat : Hindi word literally means ‘to lick or taste’ but mostly used for very tasty north Indian food dishes. When you have Chaat you will surely indulge in a friendly chat.. Isn't it ??? If your answer is yes.. Then Swagat is the right place. So chaat dishes in the morning ?? Why not , why should these informal, friendly dishes should have time zones ?Chaat is typical north Indian food loved through out India. These dishes are typically light on stomach but high on spices. You can choose this breakfast option to please your taste buds in literal meaning.Normally Chaat is enjoyed from road side thellas (Carts). But its exactly where "Swagat Veg Treat"is different, which serves Chaat in hygienic environment. It offers nice sitting arrangement, cleanliness , open kitchen. This restaurant is in service for last forty years with same kind of dedication towards quality, taste and overall experience.
Being a dadarkar Swagat has been the most preferred place when I get Pav Bhaji craving. Service is really good, situated centrally, perfect place for snacking. I would suggest them to improve the food quality of their lunch menu, rest its a perfect mini hangout to catchup for a good and budgeted meal... #nyom #nyom #nyom
Really good place... really good food. Love the pav bhaji.. this is the best pav bhaji i have ever had. The staff is also really good.. the chaat is also really good.
The advantages of visiting a new place with people who are old timers there (and also nostalgic about it) is that you get to try the best things there and you also get to hear a lot of interesting stories about its food along with the experiences of those nostalgic about it.
Coincidentally, the few visits to Swagat Veg treat that I've had over a period of time has always been with a lovely bunch of nostalgic friends who have made me try the delicacies there and vouch that it hasn't changed over the years. According to them, Swagat was primarily famous as a Chaat place which later, explored into other areas too. Unquestionably, the foods I've had with them so far has always been snacks and chaats.
The Pav bhaji with its delicious and mildly spicy bhaji and buttery pav is always a great way to begin. Extra pavs are absolutely essential.
Next is the star dish : Ragda patties. Now do not assume this to be your regular plate of 2 little Aloo tikkis drowned in loads of Ragda garnished with chopped onions and coriander. Nope, this one is way, way different. To call it a patty would be a gross understatement! These are more like wadas/Bondas! Big ones, mind you! These wadas are stuffed with loads of chopped vegetables - carrots and beetroot being most prominent. Break into the wada with a spoon and watch the veggies gush out! The Ragda is served by the side, which may seem less when compared to the size of the wada, but the servers are happy to serve you more of it, if requested. Chopped onion and chutneys are also served separately that may be added as per taste. I usually use a lot of sweet chutney, most of the time emptying it out. The efforts which go in making this dish is pretty much evident and that's what turns it into a great one! Three Cheers! I'm looking to have the Dahi Patties the next time, which I assume are the same Patties but served with curd. These Patties are really big and hence they have the option of a half plate (1 patty) as well, along with the regular full plate.
We also had the Veg Cheese Pizza, which may not be extraordinary but really tasty when you are in the mood for some Desi variation of this dish. The juices and fresh lime sodas are decent too.
I'm told that the other chaats and Tava pulao are pretty good as well. I plan to try these on my next visit there (provided the Patties don't stuff me up!) Also, I happen to see many people having their Chinese foods too. But for that I guess I'll have to go alone. Don't wish to take the chance of creating a blot on any body's nostalgia!
Small local restaurant with a delicious menu. Anything snack or any chat item ordered here is worth a shot.
The dahi puri is to die for. The pav bhaji is great too.
Small restaurant bt wid a delicious cusine! Visited dis place as an option..bt was a good 1!! Do nt rate it on its ambience or area..bt must sae food takes away ol itz points!! Tasty pav bhaji n sandwiches!!
Wud visit again 2 try some mor dishes!
Note: No dosas n wadas(southindian) food served😜
Swagat situated at Dadar TT circle is pretty famous for its Pav Bhaji, Tava Pulao and Masala Pav. Basically all things related to a piping hot tava.
No doubt their tava stuff is really good, and the smell of hot masalas just leave you salivating. But having been here a few times, I have now ventured and tried the Chinese as well other Punjabi dishes here. And I must say, I was a bit pleasantly surprised.
The stuff at this place is really tasty. I am not sure whats the difference in the cooking but Swagat somehow reminds me of food prepared with a lot of love. I don’t want to sound al corny, but that’s what I feel when eating at this very simple place that has half of its seating right on the footpath.
Do try their Chats as well, along with ‘Indian’ Chinese, plus they got quite a variety just for Tava Pulao. Of cause the Pav Bhaji, this is something you will automatically try. Just wait till you get a sniff of the cook preparing it.
One of the most convenient things is also they serve ‘half’ portions for most of their dishes. It’s perfect for one person.
Do try it out, do take a take away when in the area, do order at home if you live nearby. Swagat's stuff is really great.
For those looking for food with good taste and decent atmosphere this is the perfect place. The taste of most of the dishes served here is something which would want you to come again.
The tawa pulao here is fabulous. You can get it can be adjusted as per your need. It is different in the sense that the rice is softer than what you get at most other places. I like to have it spicy.
The pav bhaji here is very good as well. Long chopped onion rubbed with beetroot adds to the taste of the bhaji.
Plus the ragda pattice is also great. The pattice here is different in the sense they make use of a variety of vegetables. It is different and tasty.
Also the dahi batata puri here is worth tasting.
The service is good. It is a small place though and is decent. No great ambience though.
For the food and especially for the above four dishes this is a must visit place.
This humble looking no-fuss restaurant is one of the many in the ever-busy Khodadad Circle area and is just next in the line of the famous Chandu Halwai. If you are looking for a place with great ambience, this restaurant will not make it to the list. But food-wise, they do have some dishes that are unique and haven't changed even a bit over the last decade or even more- yes, it’s been almost 13 years now that I have been going there and not once have these dishes tasted different.
FOOD – 4/5
Getting straight to my favourites
1. Pav Bhaji – This place is known for their pav bhaji and the aroma of freshly made pav bhaji is enough to draw you in. Delicious. Just the right amount of spice and tang and generously buttered pav.
2. Veg Cutlet – I am sure many people think of this as an ordinary snack and something almost no one will prefer having now that we have so much variety available in snacks, but the veg cutlet here is just one-of-a-kind. Semolina-coated (lends that crispy outside texture), served hot with some fresh chopped cucumber and tomato on the side and yes, not to forget, the signature pumpkin sauce and green pudina chutney. Having a little bit of everything in a bite is an explosion of flavours, textures and temperatures in your mouth. Lip-smacking.
3. Dahi Patties – Another favorite. Theirs is soft potato cover filled with lots of veggies (and not just potato) and cashews thrown in. It's served on a bed of smooth and sweet yogurt which is layered onto a sweet-spicy chutney. The portion is quite generous on this one and for a moderate eater could be a meal in itself.
Other dishes worth trying – Ragada Samosa, Dhingri Mutter, Tawa Pulao and Sitaphal Milkshake
SERVICE – 3.5/5. Service is quick and the staff is prompt and cordial.
VFM – 4/5. Delicious food at very reasonable prices.
AMBIENCE – 2.5/5. Nothing fancy about this place. Has a functional design. A little revamping would be great.
Good place to have snacks if you are nearby and craving comforting food. Drop in, if you haven't yet and patrons, keep coming back for nostalgia served on the plate :)
I occasionally visit this place.. Budget friendly restaurant.. Do try the spicy tava pulav and pav bhaaji.. Better than all other veg restaurants in the nearby area..
Hidden gem !!!! Not for the snobs !!!
Well to be honest not many in my circles like this place and they always give me a frown when i suggest the name. I however cherish the food over here.
You cant expect a good ambiance or distinguished service out here, yes i will admit other restaurants of the same scale are yet polished.
But but but ...... you have to try my all time favorite - Special cheese masala pav.... amazing stuff man. I have seen 2 types of ppl, one who prefer masala pav to be spicy and dry and other lot ( like me) who prefer a bit of a bhaji on top. well swagat is one of the few resto who carters to both, you order masala pav and u will get that spicy dry one and you order special masala pav and you get the one i relish
You just cant miss Ragda pattice over here, its totally different with stuffing of beet, cashews and everything...delicious.
Potato toast was also great sometimes it is made oily but usually its great..
My advice is have chat and fast food but avoid punjabi and chinese, atleast i dont like.
if you have to eat pav bhaji or masala pav, this is the place...
Had a nostalgic feeling visiting this place after decades. Regulars during late 70's - 80's they havent changed their interiors at all. Mostly known for their ragda pattice they have kept the same taste with a bit of cosmetic changes in terms of serving the dish. Enjoyed the ragda pattice & dahi batata puri which use to be our favourite. Dahi patata puri wasnt as use to be but serving with Usal is the same. One draw back, service was slow.
One must definitely have their Ragda Pattice, Pav bhaji & Vada Pav.
Also tried their Tawa Pulao and Dal Tadka. Both were tasty.
Service is quick and staff is polite.
Overall highly recommended restaurant in Dadar TT area.
Yesterday I got chance to eat in this restaurant. We ate malai kofta, chapati and dal rice.. it was freshly cooked and delicious. Quantity and quality of food was very good. We were satisfied after the dinner. I recommend this restaurant for family
Nice little place. Specialises in Ragda-Pattice. Haven't had this style of Ragda Pattice anywhere else. A must try.
Update: Basis the owners recommendation, tried the Dhai Puri today and it was good!
I mostly go for lunch here .. and I love Schezwan paobhaji here .. nice place. And taste is also good.
Located at Dadar circle..Ambience is ok..I like having Ragda samosa here and it's really good😋..Pav bhaji, dal fry and parathas are good too...
Very nice and clean place for quick bite. Ita a pretty old and trusted place for healty and clean food. Known for its pav bhaji, chaat, cutlet. No south indian food here. Accepts gpay. Cards above 250 only.
Swagat Hotel at Dadar TT is the one of the oldest hotels at Dadar East.
Undoubtedly it's the most reasonable and value for money food joint for tastiest food. Service is really good. Also, many of dishes are served in half portion making it true value for money.
Some of the dishes served here at the best one can find anywhere in Mumbai.
1) Ragda Pattice : They have a very unique Pattice which has a potato coating with all veggies inside. Every time you order and the provide a freshly fried Pattice. Also available in half (Only Swagat can prepare this dish) ... Simply the Best in class.
2) Dal Fry : this is again the best one can find anywhere in Dadar
3) Aloo Palak : the way Swagat prepares this dish, it's super delicious and they have this paratha and it's a total delight to have this combination.
4) Veg Manchurian : this is the tastiest Manchurian i have ever had in Mumbai. They beat any Chinese hotel in the way it's prepared and how delicious it is.
5) Veg Cheese Grill Sandwich : Again the best in class . A little different from what we get in Maket but super duper tasty and full of cheese.
6) Aloo Jeera : this dish is available at a very reasonable price at Swagat and is super tasty and prepared fresh whenever you order it.
Apart from this they specialise in Chat, Pav Bhaji, Tava Pulav, Sandwiches, Punjabi, Chinese...etc ..you name it and they have it..
They are available on Zomato and also provide home deliveries.
Highly recommended !!

Nice little place. Specialises in Ragda-Pattice. Haven't had this style of Ragda Pattice anywhere else. A must try. Update: Basis the owners recommendation, tried the Dhai Puri today and it was good!
Try the Ragda Parties. It is lovely, mouth watering and for ₹80 worth a quick bite.
I have been going to Swagat regularly for the past 40 years, every time I visit Mumbai ... even if I just visit Mumbai for 1-2 days. The quality has been superb. Every dish is great. But I have been disappointed in my last couple of visits. The Ragda pattice is one of the best, but the others are falling below in standard. Hope to see them picking back up, so I can visit again.
Food taste was good and quality also.. good option for vegetarian people's.. many traditional dishes are available here and also chinese food available.. quantity was fine.. you can visit here.. at walkable distance from dadar station.. suitable for small size groups and family 4 to 6.. cleanliness is maintained very well.. you can visit with your friends and family. Keep surfing and keep eating.. #local_guide #review
I did not order from here as I had my food packed with me. But I walked up to the owner at the desk and asked him if he could offer me a place to sit and eat. Usually restros don't allow outside food but this guy has no objections to it. His only condition was - you'll have to buy something from us - and I ordered a soft drink. I had not expected this and was really surprised. This is what makes me write this review - the first that I've ever written.
This place has decent space but is a little congested as are most places in South Mumbai but they've an open kitchen which I don't see in many other restros. And from other reviews here, I can understand that they serve good snacks here. Will visit again to taste the food now.
Very unique, delicious Ragada Pattice, which I’ve never seen or tasted anywhere else! This pattice is actually like a mixed veg vada inside a potato patty! Yummy! Ask for extra ragada! I’d go there any day just for the ragada pattice!!
Also the other chat items are very good and authentic. Wash it all down with the unique ginger lemon soda! Delicious and easy on the pocket!
Good place to have Pav bhaji Chinese n chat in Dadar TT area.
