Don't let the by lanes of Mazgaon fool you coz it does have some noteworthy gems like Ming China. Excellent Chinese food and some excellent service. Though the place is small the food is a class apart. Try especially the golden fried prawns. It's almost their signature dish and no one quite makes it that way
It's a nice and cosy place to eat but as it is extrem close to my place we order rather than going over to the rest to eat. The food is served quickly and the portion is moderately good. The servers are helpful and guide you well for ordering. Incase if they feel that you ordering too much for the group they will politely let you know which I really like. It helps to avoid wastage of food.
This restaurant is situated in Mazgoan, it is a Chinese restaurant which serves oriental Chinese. It serves value for money food that tastes great. I love Chinese and I visit this place often. The ambiance and the service is great as well.

Ming china is a chinese restaurant and it serves some delicious chinese food. As this place is in my neighbourhood i keep visiting this place for amazing food. So i have tried alot of dishes here and i will review some of them.
So the ambiance is quite nice and simple for having a dinner or lunch. The staff is prompt and the service is also quite nice.
Hunan black pepper chicken: This is my staple starter in ming china. It has a tangy sweet sauce with the taste of black pepper. The chicken is tender.(must try)
American chopsuey: The only place where i love eating american chopsuey. They serve one of the best american chopsuey. The sweet and spicy sauce is delicious with veggies and succulent chicken pieces. The noodles are nice and crisp they dont go soggy inspite of the gravy being on top.(hihghly recommended)
Lemom coriender soup: I would recommend ypu to try their other soups because this one was not good. It hada acery strong flavor of black pepper and soy sauce.
Chicken panfried noodles: Another yummy dish. It was mouth watering with so many veggies in it. It was partially boiled and fried just like a perfect panfries noodles.(recommended)
Honey noodles with icecream: My fovourite chinese dessert. The noodles were crisp and the honey was not much in it it waa perfect. It was topped with sesseme seeds and 2 big scopps of icecream. It is truly delicious.
Peach ice tea: Nothing great just like a normal icetea but good and refreshing.
So these are all my favourite dishes which i order here. Make sure when you visit this place you order one of these.

This place is r ally close to where we reside and we often order from here. The quality of food is really good while the taste is flavourful. The one dish we love is the chicken pot rice with mushrooms.

Visited this place with my family. Good food with sufficient quantity. The lemon coriander soup was delicious. One drawback is that the place is small and a bit conjusted.

The food came in just few minutes, and it was in good quantity, the taste was also good. The staff was very co-operative, indeed very good service.
Really enjoy the food at Ming China. I order my food frequently from here and really enjoy the Crispy Fried Wanton and Mauritian Fried Rice. Recommended for take away meals. Good quality food and hygienic. Prompt in delivery also.
Finally relished some decent Chinese cuisine after a really long time. For starters, we ordered the Chicken Wonton Soup. It could have been better. The Soup as well as the Wonton were quiet bland. If I could go back in time, I would definitely stay away from the soup. The Sesame on Toast with Prawns was the highlight of the meal. Brilliant when combined with the schezwan Sauce they provide. The Shanghai Chicken was slightly disappointing as the crispness due to excess batter overpowered the Chicken flavor.
The Chicken Burnt Garlic Fried Rice along with Oyster Sauce then came to our rescue. Delicious, and we couldn't ask for more.
The ambience was decent. Not that great, not that bad. Would I visit this place again, If I'm on that side of town, the answer is Yes. I'll gladly give their other dishes a try
I have been a regular here ever since this place opened 6-7 years ago. One of the most brilliant restaurants I have been to, despite its small size. The staff are extremely humble, the service speed on a regular day is crazy fast, there's almost no downtime between dishes once the first dish is served, and the quantity is huge for the price they are asking.
Some must try dishes: Corn curd, chicken wrapped prawns, moon-fan rice (pot rice), chicken in oyster sauce, pan-fried noodles and for desserts, you can't leave without trying their honey fried noodles.
Overall, I wouldn't think for even a second before recommending this place for anyone who's looking for some good chinese.

Ming China, located at a walking distance from Mazgaon Circle is famous for serving authentic chinese cuisine. The menu is exotic and totally oriented towards chinese flavours.
Exteriors are decent. Interiors are amazing, gives you the chinese tradition feels. It's a small place with 4-5 tables and the extension is work in progress i guess! Ordered Burnt chilly garlic chicken rice, red pepper chicken and chicken sweet corn soup!
1) Chicken Sweet Corn Soup: Tasted great. I like my sweet corn soups to be on the sweeter side and it did not disappoint. Chicken chunks were in decent proportions too!
2) Red Pepper Chicken: Ordered this appetizer on the recommendation of waiter. Loved the quantity. Taste wise it was amazing with strong hint of chillies.
3) Burnt Garlic Chicken Rice: Again the quantity of this dish was amazing and good enough for 3 person. Taste was good and spicy. Chicken pieces were in generous quanitities.
Service is good. Orders arrived fairly quick and staff are attentive too! Overall loved this place, would definately be back for more stuffs! Cheers...!

Yummy food, nice range o authentic Chinese cuisine..love thier style of serving and the taste us just perfection. I am yet to try thier sea food, but have heard it's fab too. Well, chicken and veg served here is just too good.
Done more of takeaways here than dine-in at this once popular do from Colaba and now Mazgaon's own. Their food is for comfort and anyone who can withstand the Mao & other street side food onslaught, must be commended for their effort. The space used to be just 4-5 tables earlier, but now have a much larger seating space. The soups and main course are all up to standards and we love eating their dishes whenever one is tempted and hungry for comfort Chinese. Go for it

Visited here again after long time. The starters n soups.. Oyster garlic prawns were tasty. Ginger garlic noodles was also awesome. However the staff service was slow may be Coz of Sunday. The beverages were also not good.. Ice tea not upto the mark.. And lime soda was Bitter. However I like the chinese here and they way they manage in such a small place. Good luck team ming China.

Very small place,but clean. Air conditioner was high, which is good. Service was fast. Hot and sour soup was fine. Chicken spring rolls were yum and big quantity. This place will satisfy your craving for indo Chinese food for sure. There is a juice center opposite it, end the meal with a glass of juice !
2nd time I ate was home delivery. Parcel came in 45 mins. I ordered Mauritius plate(fried rice,Hakka noodles and kungpao chicken gravy). All 3 dishes were bad. Rice was plain,noodles tasted slightly rotten.

The owners are around most of the time , which means your needs are looked after.
Portions are medium sized and meals cost Rs 300/- to 350/- per person.
meals are HALAL and no pork is served here.
All Chinese soups are prepared well. Appetisers and main course are well prepared. My suggestion is that any preferred Chinese dish can be ordered and made to your preference.
I definitely prefer this place to 5 SPICE.
If Mr Nadir is there , then ask him for his seasoned opinion which would be better for you.

Nice ambience and good food. We had mapo tofu and noodles . Taste was pretty close to authentic on these. Best part of the restaurant is that the staff is very informative as to what is in each dish and will give helpful recommendations to guide you to what you will like best .

First off , this review is based on just one experience of the food from Ming and that too a delivery at a friend's place. However I liked it well enough to pen down this piece. Though I will be restricting myself to what I experienced , the quality and VFM factor of the food and the speed of the delivery.
Yesterday , a Sunday , late in the evening after a play at NCPA with some friends , we had planned to go out for dinner at someplace nice nearby but some of some urgent work at their home our friends had to cancel that and head home , slight disappointment but then they invited us to their house for dinner , assuring us of nice Chinese food from this delivery place near their house . They called in the order from there itself and we got on our way.
The first pleasant surprise awaited us as soon as we reached their place ,after a drive which lasted not more than 15 mins. , the delivery guy was already there with the food. So full points for speedy delivery.
The next nice thing to happen that evening was when I saw the variety and the quantity of the food , our friends had ordered two types of noodles , a fried rice , two chicken dishes and one with fish. It was then I remembered that my friend had paid a total of ₹1240/- ( am not sure if that included the top or was sans it ) for that amount , this certainly was a great value for money meal.
And now on to the final and the best part of the meal , the flavour and freshness. As already mentioned we had two noodle dishes , a chicken Haka and a pan fried. Truly with the other things around , I never got around to tasting the pan fried ones , which were served with a sauce on the side. The Haka noodles were very light , flavourful and nicely seasoned. Similarly , the Egg Fried rice was long grain and fragrant , Yummy. The chilly chicken , with extra green chillies , as ordered by us was extra hot as we wanted it with fresh and tender morsels of well cooked chicken , the other dry , red coloured , preparation of chicken was perfectly cooked and deliciously tangy. Finally , the fish , blackish in colour was also delicious. A wonderful meal in all.
As we frequent that area because we have loads of friends living in the area am surely looking forward to dinning in at this place , some time in the near future and till then will surely recommend it for delivery.

For me its like having 5 Spice near my place. The food and the price is similar to that of 5 Spice. Also the waiting line is sometimes the same as 5 Spice.
As mentioned by me the place is an exact replica of 5 Spice, but considering the Place they are situated in, the Seating Area, no near-by parking, and long hours of waiting this place is highly over-rated.
The tables are too closely situated that people have to request each other to give some space and a tall guy like me(6.3ft) its like a nightmare to me going in there specially when its fully crowded.
The service is better than 5 spice because the staff have fewer tables to cater and thus a plus point to Service but the point i held back was all because the price considering in what locality they have situated in. It is the most expensive Restaurant in the whole of Mazgaon.

A very cozy and sweet restaurant with extremely courteous staff. Food was served promptly and piping hot. The ambience here goes well with their mandarin theme. I loved the oriental pot rice and chicken lollipops and steamed dumplings. I have come here multiple times to have a good meal. Not many restaurants make good quality Chinese the way they do. One of the best Chinese food you can have. I was skeptical about location being in Mazgaon but I can assure you that this place is lot better than other expensive places I have visited. Salima lakhani from dar es salaam have been visiting ming china past 15 years this is a place one should never miss out when in mumbai. The food, staff, atmosphere all great. The owner is a family friend of ours just like an elder brother to me who is so kind at heart.
For good and yummy Chinese food, I often remember Ming China. The service, cleanliness etc is good. Do try their American chopsuey as well as red and black starters as suggested by the staff.
