A plate of Idli Sambhar or Masala Dosa is always more satifying and healthy than a whopping burger.
I was in CST area with a friend in the evening time and we were looking for something to eat. We found this age old Kamat Suvidha Restaurant and got in. Without experimenting much, we ordered a Masala Dosa and a Plate of Idli Sambhar.
The Idlis came first and they were totally different from the regular ones. They were soft and the texture was totally different and so was the taste. The Taste of Masala Dosa was unique too, it had some ghee in it and the aroma itself was tempting and stomach filling. The bowls and chutney and sambhar kept coming. We repeated the order for Idli Sambhar and ended the session with a cup of Tea.
A must try place for all the foodies.
Check out the photos to believe :)
Average place. Go there for the chole bature if not anything else. It was mild yet scrumptious. Average service. Shall visit again for the same 👍🏼

Sirs,
I had been to ur restaurant yesterday 15th sept. 2016 at fort - I had come specially from Lalbaug to hv lunch after the darshan of Lalbagcha Raja. I sometimes do visit this rest. of urs at fort since the last 25 years. But yesterday I had a very bad experience - Yesterday at around 3 PM when I was having lunch at ur restaurant with my daughter with one of my friend - suddenly there was one person near the wash basin wasing his face and putting his finger inside his mouth and making loud sounds to remove the cough - First i thought he was a customer and stared at him angrly - but afterwards I came to know that he was one of your staff cause after washing his face he went directly inside the kitchen. My daughter got so annoyed and left the Baji Pav which she was eating -- So this is very bad for ur the reputation of your Hotel -- Imagine your staff behaving like this - Good there were no customers at that time in the hotel as it was a holiday due to Ganesh visarjan - I have lodged my complain to the casher at the entrance of the Hotel - u may pls confirm with him - my email vickysuvia@gmail.com
If you are at fort by lunch time. Do visit Kamat.. I used to prefer Kamat for veg, especially Thali.. Menu with very limited dish but delicious...
Been here manier times as a kid...the food here is delicious...extremely pocket friendly..as value for money..the closest that you can get to home made food...decent ambience
Kamats suvidha is like a typical chain of restaurant that kamat owns. The food is very nice and consistent and will never disappoint for any meals may it be breakfast or lunch or dinner. The service is quick and staff is friendly. The fav amongst the dishes was the mushroom mutter masala and still remember and crave for it. Though not mentioned in the menu but the waiter was courteous enough to make it for us and hence thumbs up or the service and resonably priced restaurant serving great tasty food in fort area.
A small good place near fort , I have always come to this for breakfast only . I had idli (very soft and mouth melting ) , masala dosa (kadak that I like ) and their coffee I love it :) will try other items too very soon .
This place has been around for ages and was one of my favourite joints for breakfast or lunch from college in the early 1980's. I had my first tomato omelette (no eggs, only veg!!!) and I used to have it most of the time!!! Also had the puri bhaji which is another favourite. The veg jalfrezi, shahi biryani and tomato soup are something I usually liked out here. Service is good and everything is made fresh so takes a bit of time to get your order.
Very pocket friendly restaurant in area like Fort. I enjoyed eating Chole-Bhature their, great taste. Very good place to spend some family time.
Located on D.N. Road, Fort, I frequently visit this place for a quick breakfast. .
My favorites include
Rawa dosa: 7/10
Sweet kachori: 8.5/10.
Nice food. But they get closed by 10 p.m. even on sundays. We went for movie at new excelsor and got this place nearby as we were 2 couples n dont want to go 2 far.Its under management of Kamats.Go for south indian it was better than fast food i.e.,jain pav bhaji. They also serve jain chutneys and jain sambhar along with south indian dishes.
This decades old Kamath restaurant has been serving the office goer its staple South Indian cuisine and still evokes nostalgic memories.. It also serves Chinese like almost all eateries now and some North Indian stuff, veg Biryani et al..Last week on my nth visit, ordered the Rava masala , quality and taste is consistent. Service is not great and this place has seen better days.
South Indian food is delicious and yummy. Restaurant is pocket friendly. Interior is clean. AC room at first floor. Surrounding area is superb. CST station is at walking distance, so anyone can have food if there is time to get train. Food at this rate in CST area is wonderful.try once.
One of the tasty budget restaurant in south Mumbai fort area. Not only is it famous among the working crowd around, but is also famous for casual or fine dining with family. A must go for foodies who want Punjabi food in pocket friendly rates and sober Services.
The place is good for some heavy snacks.. Food served is fresh and tasty as well.. The location of the restaurant is famous by the name of it.. Mostly the restaurants seems to carry over the legacy of its forefathers, however the place is renovated and carrying the recent trends... Mumbai's favourite batata vada and masala dosa is a must try here... Please dont go for basic sandwitches or anything similar; as there are many other options available here which are worth a try..
I am always in love with their Rava Idli and filter coffee. Used to come here during my college days and was missing for decades. Enjoying my favourite menu after almost 25 years. ...
