I would recommend to try their pav bhaji and their idli/medu wada/ cheese dosa only. Their other items in the menu are not really worth the price or the taste
Punjabi Thali was amazing only the Tomato soup was sweet.
My most favor dishes from this place included the uttapam and cheese pav bhaji, I usually like eating the pav bhaji with the ghee uttapam, its weird but I am south Indian so like to eat almost everything paired with dosa or uttapam
Food is nice over here. Had gone for snacks late afternoon 2 days back.
I guess they have set the time for cleaning the restaurant at 5pm and the sweeper is so punctual in that, he starts sweeping the restaurant in front of people eating, they should understand that dust can go in food also.

Who doesn't remember munching on this paper thin crispy dosa dipped in hot sambar and coconut chutney . As kids, it was our all-time favourite.

No idea why Krishna Chayya has such a low rating. It is our go to place when we are looking at pure vegetarian fare.
Their Biryani and Dal Khichdi is our family favourite as are their Paneer Curries.
My only quibble is that their prices are increasing and the quantity is decreasing.
If you're looking for pure vegetarian fare that is fresh and delicious, head to Krishna Chayya.

The best place for veg food. Their menu is loaded with variety of vegetarian food which will leave you licking your fingers, yes, it's that delicious. I personally live for pav bhaji and this place provides the best kind of it. Ambience is lovely. Service is warm and on time.

We ordered manchow soup which was just average followed by veg crispy in appetizers.. veg crispy was suprisingly very good probably coz of the Schezwan sauce that they toss it in, however, it wasn't very crispy.
For main course, we ordered pav bhaji and cheese sada dosa which were yumm..

They serve one of the best dosas and idli wada sambar in khar.
The ambience is good and they have got a seperate ac section which is very nicely done.
The service is quick and the quality & quantity of all the items is very well taken care of.
Situated near Khar West Railway station this restaurant serves South Indian, Punjabi, Chinese and fast food. Punjabi thali which is available only on Sunday lunch is value for money. However the other dishes like Rava masala dosa, cheese pizza, butter naan with mix vegetable and pav bhaji are delicious.
Interiors and ambience are good and Service is fast.

Ambeince , service were good , taste of vadapav, pav baji , dosa were good and they have huge menu , you can try more but we had few as we went in the evening time , quality wise better and in that area bit lower than a restaurant and bit higher than a normal breakfast restaurant
We just landed in mumbai and wanted to have our lunch, so we found this place which serves some good quality of food, I love the south indian food that i ordered but didn't really liked the taste of the sandwich, but nevertheless it was a good experience.

This place is just next to khar station, I have been here multiple times, one of the best veg restaurants in khar, the Paneer is really soft and fresh, Chinese is also good. I am not really a fan of veg Chinese but I like it here. We ordered Pav bhaji, dosa, paneer chilli, triple rice, masala pav. They also serve thali which is cheap but also not that great. Otherwise overall all the dishes here are really nice. The service is also quick, also very reasonable.
Street shopping exhausts you, but not your pocket. A great way to end the shopping spree is the PUNJABI THALI at Krishna Chhaya. It is worth the ₹125. This includes a bowl of soup, 3 vegetables, 2 parathas/chapatis, half a bowl of rice, a bowl of dal, papad and a glass of lip smacking chaas. The day I ate this, hari sabzi, gobi aloo and raai aloo were served. I usually never eat anything w spinach in it, but the hari sabzi had my heart.
Recently visited this place, I didn’t had many things but the daal khichri is awesome, i really loved it though i am not that fan of khichri.
One should visit this place to try out their homemade ice cream specially the pan flavor 👌👌😋 decent food and price easy on your pocket staffs are good and polite.

Visited this place for breakfast but the smell of pav bhaji was so good that we had to order it as it was so tempting and also ordered for masala dosa served with sambar and chatni. Amazing taste and loved the place for lunch and dinner.

We had chilli paneer, malai kofta and paneer tikka masala alongwith rotis for mains. Masala papad and chilli potatoes. The food here is tasty as always. They have Big Moo ice creams - hand churned. They have different flavours. We tried rose almond and were not disappointed. The serving is quite large and the ice cream was well stuffed. The service is quick and no nonsense.

I can't fathom why the need to add French beans to schezuan rice or for the matter any Chinese rice preparations. Ordered a Chinese rice dish (duh) and veg makhanwala and roti. 3/5 for taste. The place is big, hospitable staff and a prompt table service. Kudos. The amount of room freshener wafting in the room is extremely large and too strong to let us smell anything else. So, the ambience goes down because of that. Budget restaurant and good food.

Well this is a refined form of a typical joint that serves not only good south Indian but also north Indian, Chinese, chats, Italian etc.
Cheese Pav Bhaji and Veg Cheese Pizza is my all time favourite. The MeduVada and Onion Rawa Dosa is also worth a try. Also one can try Paneer Kadai, Kofta, Fun Aloo and also their in-house ice-cream brand(BigMoo)

This place is more like a South Indian joint you find on most railway station . It's value for money in today time of expensive restraunt every nook and corner . Food is the typical normal decently oily snack prepared with loads and loads of cheese when you choose a dish with cheese . I've got lot of memories with the place and it gets me a very peace full experience when ever I visit . My favourite though odd combination of order here is a " cheese pav bhaji , spring rolls and a Rawa masala dosa with Ganga Jamuna juice " . But their paneer quality is great and you can always try their paneer dishes as well .

This is a legendary place in my diary and on my map when in the Khar West Station vicinity. Superb food...for almost a decade or more or as long as I can remember. The most memorable dish for me is of course their Methi Malai Mutter...try it and am sure you will agree with me. Dosas, Pizzas standard snack fare is also good....One amazing place this....Do i still need to say highly recommended?☺

Searching for food on a Friday afternoon with a friend went to this place. Went to the AC section which was quite okay. Ordered paneer kadhai n roti n also boondi raita. But didn't click pics as was too hungry. Service is good. Pricing is like any normal restaurant. Close proximity to khar station. Ended up ordering breakfast from this joint - Idlis and Medu Wada. Both were fresh and Hot and tasted brilliant, though dont know of many south indian restaurants who screw up idlis. But the accompanying Sambar and chutney were nice. Definitely need to try the rest from the menu.
The second best daal khichdi in d whole of mumbai, which is not a small feat at all. The first prize of course goes to radhe shyam lower parel. Have the daal khichdi with the mango pickle they give. I got it delivered. It was Very good. Burp!
In last few days we have ordered food few times for home delivery from Shree Krishna Chhaya. They have always delivered on time.
We have ordered for Tal Tadka, Veg Kohlapuri, and few items in Paneer. The taste and food quality is good. The quantity of Dal Tadka is pretty good whereas other items have little smaller serving size. Prices are reasonable.
Overall, you can try this place at least for home delivery. Can't comment on the place as I have never visited it personally.

The Best Veg Restaurant in Khar. Very tasty balanced spiced food. All dishes Cooked in Desi ghee. I didn't found a oil in any Gravy dishes. So you won't feel heavy after finishing them also health friendly. Also they serves in a good quantity with superb quality with affordable cost. Must visit here , you are not going to be disappointed.

I go to this restaurant alot. This restaurant has good spread of food in Punjabi, South Indian and some maharashtrian dishes. The place is very good and is a must visit restaurant for veg lovers living in Mumbai. Everyone should visit this place once in a lifetime. I am going here from my school life. Makhanwala sabje is a must eat.
