Hussain, the owner of the restaurant attended us. A very pleasant, soft spoken personality. We ordered fish tikka which was amazing. Fish was Halwa and not Basa (Sick of eating Basa in restaurants). Were confused between Galauti and Shikampura kebabs. Hussain mentioned he can give us half of both the dishes so that we can try both the delicacies. More the merrier, so we ordered half of both. Galauti kebabs are my all time fav. Both these dishes were so similar and yet so different from each other( exactly as described by Hussain) and we loved them both. Highly recommend all these 3 starters. For mains, we ordered Chicken Dum biryani. It was pretty good, but not the best one that we have had. The chicken pieces were really soft.
They were playing Bollywood non lyrical songs of 80s and it was fabulous. Perfect for a Saturday feel.

This is one of our favourite places in Mumbai. We stumbled upon this place when we were looking for a pet friendly restaurant. When we came here with our puppy, we were so warmly welcomed by the staff here, it felt like a family place. We have now visited twice in 3 weeks time. What stands out is the hospitality one gets , the love that the staffs show towards our pet . Ashish , Mithila and Hussain were amazing in making us very comfortable. The food (both veg and non-veg) was a very pleasant surprise. One of the best foods that you would get . Overall a great experience and would love to come again and again .

Verdict : The best biryani in town I had still now i.e delivering at Malad West.
So being a Bengali we are very particular about our food, specially the Biryani . Yes every state and place have their own type of style & taste of biryani and I respect that , otherwise how will you experience the diversion of culture. Been 6 months in Mumbai I have never experienced a good biryani till now, untill I had Baikoz . The potion size was so much that I can easily term it a experience, rather than calling it a lunch. I never had that potion size from any of the delivering restaurant. It was stuffed with chicken pieces so much that it will easily blow your mind. The taste was awesome too . A perfect 10/10 . Itās been a long time since I have enjoyed kebabs at a restaurant. Generally, itās the roadside kebab stalls that have always been the winner.
I can finally say after all this time that I found a place serving EXTRAORDINARY kebabs. I am amazed at why this outlet is not so popular as yet. I stay in the vicinity & Baikoz was never on my wishlist. But now, itās definitely on my recommended list.
Not difficult to locate, since itās bang on the linking road, flagged by several other eateries. Hereās a breakdown of the items we ate-
STARTERS
1. Murg Chapli Kebab
Currently not on their menu, but recommended by the server. And so exceptionally delicious, perfect texture inside-out & just the right flavor & spice. Highly recommended!
(Also, try out the mutton chapli kebab, which the owner later on told us was better, and do let me know how it was)
2. Gosht Shikampuri Kebab
Super soft kebabs, again a brilliant one. Also, the kewra flavor was not overpowering & blended it all together very well. One of us liked this more than the chapli kebab.
3. Gosht Galouti Kebab
Served on triangular parathas, it had a distinctly different flavor, yet similar in texture to the shikampuri kebab. I liked this more than the shikampuri, but all preferences were different , cause thatās how GOOD the kebabs were.
MAINS
4. Bhuna Gosht
On no particular recommendation, tried this just because we wanted to. Superb flavor, had such a homemade feel, and just the right amount of spiciness.
5. Chicken Rara
This was a recommended dish. Chicken gravy with chicken pieces along with tiny chicken bits in the gravy as well. A different flavor and style, but not something we enjoyed as such.
6. Chicken Tikka Biryani
Biryani had no wow factor, infact not comparable to any of the good biryanis I have had. The flavor was subtle, and not excessive masala- just the right amount. But the rice didnāt seem fresh, which altered the overall taste negatively.
ACCOMPANIMENTS
7. Ulte Tawe ka Paratha
A chefs special, soft saffron milk based paratha. A better alternative to the otherwise chewy tandoori roti. A little heavy on the stomach though. Blended well with both the gravy dishes. Must try.
8. Vade
Deep fried puri type vade, with a thepla-like sweetness. It did not compliment any of the dishes.
9. Roomali Roti
10. Masala Papad
The roomali roti was okay while the papad was weird and hard, and didnāt taste good either.
An outlet which deserves far more popularity & applaud than its receiving (no idea if its receing any at all!) I would suggest them to keep up the quality of food, and they are sure to have a regular customer in me. Desserts need to be updated though.
This is simply an amazing place. The food savory of this place is great. I would recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a mix of sea food and meat

I ordered chicken biriyani,haleem and nalli nihari for the first time after reading good reviews,was really excited to taste haleem but found not that great and wrote a feedback in zomato.The very next day the owner called me and apologised for the order as they had some issues on that day and they send the same items on other day.After having it ,I found the haleem to be very good in taste and would recommend everybody who hasn't tasted.Also nalli nihari was very good.Morever what I liked most was the behaviour of the owner,he is so generous to take the feedback of the customers and this treatment was very nice.Would definitely order again from here.

Baikoz is a quaint little restaurant in the heart of Oshiwara. Placed amongst the hustle bustle of other small restaurants, this stands out for it's mouth watering and lip smacking and delicious home cooked food.
There are a few tables here but then in the ages of Swiggy and Zomato and Uber eats, people prefer ordering over coming to dine out.
Me n my Sister visited this place on a weekday for dinner after some impromptu shopping.
The owner, Mr. Hussain, is a kind hearted soul who will love to give you suggestions according to your tastebuds and liking.
We started with some Sol kadi and Buttermilk. Refreshing drinks, one of the best sol kadi in recent times.
Chicken Angara :
A spicy chicken kebab, cooked in tandoor with red chillies and spices. Absolutely perfectly cooked chicken, the spiciness was there, the coal flavor was there. They nailed this one.
Mutton Galouti Kebab :
Melt-in-the-mouth, softest, delicious, Galouti Kebabs in recent times. They serve it on a bed of Ulta Tawa Ka Paratha which is one of their specialities. Absolutely loved it. The spiciness was not too heavy, but the flavors were coming through. A small piece of the paratha, some kebab on top and some onion salad completes a bite. Do try it.
Bharwan Tandoori Aloo :
Potato fan as I am, we had to order this. Potato stuffed with mix veggies and some cheese and then cooked in tandoor. Heaven for vegetarians. Also, the cheese on top completes the dish.
Chicken Ra-Ra :
For the main course, we could just have one dish and ordered thr Chicken Ra-Ra as its something I had a long time ago and wanted to try it here. It has minced chicken as well as chicken pieces in spicy gravy. I liked it. It was spicy and cheesy too. The chicken was cooked well. We had it with Butter Roomali Roti and loved it.
We also had the Taftan there, which is reccomended to have with the Nalli Nihari but we had it with out chicken gravy. Taftan is a thick roti, originating from Persian and Pakistani cuisines, usually had with something thats too liquidy. I loved it. The bread was soft, not chewy at all and went well with the gravy.
Murgh Dum Biryani :
We were greedy to try the Murgh Dum Biryani though we were more than full. The biryani, cooked in dum, was amazing. The rice was not too dry, chicken was cooked well, didnt feel chewy. The biryani overall had a graviness to it and the raita with it went very well.
Malai Phirni :
For the dessert, we got the Malai Firni. Just the right amount of sweetness and the perfect ending to our North Indian meal.
I reccomend all the dishes that I had here as I myself loved it too much for me to visit this place again n again.
The service is very quick, we didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive.
Next time, I'm gona indulge in some seafood.

We ordered Chicken Hariyali Kebab for the starters which was moist, tender and absolutely droolworthy..if you are in a group order more than a plate for sure because it will disappear within seconds after reaching your table!!
Now, for the mains it was Chicken Lehsuni (must try too), Prawns Luckhnawi Biryani, tandoori and rumali rotis. Everything was cooked to perfection as per our personal requirements. They even provide a bit of non spicy gravy for my toddler.
Everybody was attentive, warm and welcoming which is the most important thing I look for in a good restaurant.
I'll definitely come here again.
Hussain (one of the partners) served us with utmost humility and the food was amongst the best we had in a really long time. We discovered this place next to Sammy Sosa by accident and it turned out be a very happy accident. Also thanks to the Ramadan specials our table was amazed and ecstatic at finding haleem, nalli nihari, khichdaa, phirni and loved it all!! And to think there were just 3 of us on the table.
For the vegetarians, the tandoori bharvan aaloo was amazing, the dal makhni is worth its weight in gold.

This place is for a true dhaba style food lover. Don't go by the name it does only serve great seafood but also serves some of the most awesome North Indian non veg as well as veg dishes. As the ramzan season is going on the best thing to try that is haleem and nalli nihari. they also have various ramzan Special dishes which is only served during the ramzan month. Next week write the prawns the pomfret tandoori fry which is a must try I just loved them. The chicken biryani is one of the best chicken biryani is I have had. With nalli nihari they had served taftaan which was a very soft roti. The galouti kebab was so soft and was best which was served with a roti as a base which was so soft as well. The chicken chapli kabab was just like a Chicken kabab and I love that too. and last but not the least we had the garam garam Gulab Jamun which was so good and much needed after such a delicious lunch.
I would highly recommend this place for any non-vegetarian lover.
And one more thing, authentic vegetarian dishes are also served in this place.
So even the vegetarians can enjoy delicious dhaba style food in this place.
Baikoz serves really amazing North Indian, Maharashtrian and Mughlai food. It doesn't just make you happy if you're a non-vegetarian, it fulfills your stomach, even if you're vegetarian. It's a place you can visit whenever you're in the mood for some really amazing soul food.

Haleem: A legendary dish, prepared for 6 7 hours. They justify the dish so amazingly, that you won't have haleem anywhere else.
Nalli Nihari: A Staple dish for me, Whenever I feel like having Mutton. Just the Best.
Chicken Dum Biryani: The BEST dish here. Hands down! You will never have Biryani anywhere else! This is the best Biryani I've had in a while.

A really cute place with a pretty nice ambience.
A place which would fill your stomach and not be too heavy on your pockets.
The food was quite amazing for the cost and I had assumed that the restaurant specialised in Maharashtrian Delicacies but I was surprised to know that the also serve Mughlai and other North Indian dishes.
To be honest, this place crossed my expectations and I was impressed. The presentation along with the Quality was quite amazing.

One of my friend told me about this place that they serve mind blowing sea food. But after trying the dishes they also serve north indian and other mind blowing dishes.
Starting from the Ambience it's a cozy place and they also have a seating up stairs. The service really quick and friendly staffs.
Talking about the food, To refresh myself I had sold kadhi which was served chilled. I literally had 2 glass of Sol kadhi. It was a bit spicy which it should be.
We started with sea food ,Which was Pomfret fry. They served us the big fried and tasty Pomfret. Loved the presentation.
After that we had, Prawns koliwada fry. They serve 3 styles of prawns. Prawns was well marinated and fried. Spicy and the taste was really good. Recommended šÆ
Galouti kebab is a mutton dish, Mutton is cooked for 5,6hrs. After that this dish is made. It was served with a piece of paratha and it was very soft and juicy. Recommended šÆ
Chicken chakli kebab, This was a unique dish. Where chicken was chopped into pieces, mixed with some spices and fried.
For main course we had,
Chicken biryani, The biryani was so delicious. It also had many pieces of chicken in it. Loved the biryani, must try. Recommended šÆ
Nalli nihari and taftan, nalli nihari is a mutton dish. Its a mutton gravy where nalli is served. With taftan which is maida roti was served. Recommended šÆ
After the main course we ended our lunch with Gulab jamus. It was served hot.

Before writing my review we thought of checking out Baikoz a second time. The first experience was awesome but the second actually made us realize the level of involvement the owners have in their food outlet and the extentā¦ the extra mile they go to see a happy & content foodieĀ šĀ . The first time we ordered Nalli Nihari, Surmai Tandoori, Bombay Duck Fry Boneless, Chicken Lahori Taftan and Laccha Paratha.
The Nalli Nihari was one of the best I have eaten in the recent years, there were 3-4 succulent pieces of Mutton Nalli with a silky gravy garnished with juliennes of ginger, a tad bit of spiciness and an amazing aroma. Only those who really love mutton can relish this dish, itās not a spicy oily dish, its something to savour and slurp.
The Baby Surmai Tandoori was mouth watering and the smokey tandoori flavor added to it. The fish was juicy inside, my daughter loved the Chicken Lahori with its thick gravy and chunky pieces of chicken,Ā as referred on their site all this yummy gravies were accompanied with the Taftan and Laccha Paratha. The Bombay Duck was ok, I think itās a fish which needs to be eaten directly off the fire, crisp on outside and juicy on the inside, by the time its delivered it becomes soggy.
This Saturday we ordered again, this time we tried the Paneer Til Tikka (a recommendation)Ā Mutton Dum Biryani, Tandoori Chicken, Surmai Tandoori & Chicken Lahori (its yumm!)
The biryani was excellent, good pieces of mutton, amazing aroma and flavor, mutton was well cooked and falling of the bones, spiciness was perfect. The Paneer Til Tikka had big 8 slices of juicy paneer, cooked in a zesty flavor. The Tandoor ChickenĀ sansĀ the colour was worth a repeat!
We had an issue with the fish hence called the restaurant to inform; surprisingly the call was answered by one of the owners āMr.Hussainā himself, who immediately asked us to share the pictures of the dish, called us back and personally came to our house to deliver a replacement.
This was incredible; the extra mile the owners are ready to go ..shows their involvement in the establishment and their commitment for serving high quality food!!,š to Baikoz!!
P.S. Have been told that their āHaleemā is a must haveā¦so next in line is Haleem for meĀ š
Its a great restaurant , i eat a lot form this restaurant considering its near our office . Many of our office staffs visit daily or order from this restaurany !! The staff is great and services are fast during peak hours also which was great. The restaurant has great blend in tastes of marathi quisines and the traditional marathi taste , overall its a very good restaurant for all people to must try for somethibg different in terms of food spice and taste
Was searching for a new family restaurant at andheri and i read this board named - Baikozz which caughtmy mind & thought to give it a try , tried lots of great stuff starters were really good and my kid loved it a lot .. The most loved food which me and my wife along with kids loved to eat was the butter chicken which was great !! Now we visit this restaurant after every quaters !! Great loved it the staff was good !! Overall had great experience

An absolute gem for Indian cuisine. It's my 3rd day in a row we had dinner here. Exceptional quality of food, service and menu options. The chefs were happy to alter a recipie as per our tatse as my father doesnt eat spicy food. Highly recommended ā¤ Galauti kebabs, chicken keema, dal makhani and fish tikka is a must try.

So I recently went out with one of my friend to baikoz and I must say the food is soooooo amazing just loved it and the non veg they serve is sooo good. Plus the ambience is cute and I like it. My mouth is still watering with the taste of food.

Grt place for maharastrian food. It is very much thoughtfully made and I personally found it very freshly prepared. There are very few good places for nice seafood delicacies in Andheri. I can definitely count on this one next time I'm craving for authentic fish receipes. Ambience and staff are also very polite and friendly. It is a small outlet with a little more than dozen can fit in the inside seating. The place is clean and hygienic. They play most recent hit songs (mostly the slow ones) which was an addition to the already good and subtle ambiance.
The waitstaff wasnāt that knowledgeable about the items, except one of the owners. Upon his recommendations we went ahead with SUBZ SEEKH KEBAB which was the highlight of the evening. Almost one of the best kebabs I have had so far. We also ordered PANEER LABABDAR along with KULCHA and TANDOORI ROTI. Paneer and the roti was good but Kulcha was amazing.
The food was presented well. We also ordered rumali roti. The first one was kind of half cooked so they got it replaced. One can also try the Masala Chaas here. Overall a good experience in a small cozy place located in the busy area of Oshiwara.

This new place has a principle- charge premium and serve quality, which nobody would mind.
Friendly owner, polite staff and good food that's what it's all about. Tried their Biryani- awesome, Mutton Galouti- superb,Tandoori Chicken - Excellent, Tandoori Bharwan Aloo - decent, Butter Naan- A1, Ulta tawa ka paratha - good but need to work on the crisp.
Then why 4 and not 5? Here I would like to resiprocate the restaurant's professionalism. Paying premuim price, a customer expects premium quality for all dishes but Haleem was a disaster.
Whatever was served in the name of Haleem, it could have been called anything else other than Haleem. On providing the feedback, as we couldn't eat more than a spoon, the owner accepted he knows the fault of the dish but to my surprise I found that I was charged Rs.199 (before discount) for a dish returned as it is.
So professionalism may be good sometimes but not at the cost of the customer. I'll definitely hesitate to try again but it's a must try restaurant for foodies who'll not order Haleem and waste money.
My 3rd visit to Baikoz & they have stood by the taste & Service.. the owners personally pay attention to customers which is usually not seen...
What my friends & me love is the Biryanis the way they have taste of Hyderabad , aroma of lucknow with little northern tinch ... I can assure once you eat Biryani here ur search will end

Love of Mutton Chops / Chaaps has taken me to various places in Mumbai but unaware that Baikoz serve Chaaps, I landed up seating that this Cozy restaurant just before a movie with a friend. Asked the staff for recommendation & it brought a smile on my face hearing Barra Chaap & Pomfret Tandoori for starters.. Take my words you wont be disappointed with the Quality / Quantity / Taste of the food served when eaten hot.
Since am not in for Alcoholic beverages good food is what i crave for & landed up at Baikoz on 31st Dec. eve for obviously the Barra Chaap & then came the series of others Paya Shorba, chicken Badami Shorba (something Different & nice), Galouti Kebab, Surmai Tandoori, aloo bharwan, Haleem etc.

Looking for a place for South Indian food on Sunday night after 10 pm and landed over here. They don't serve south indian š.... Anyway...it is a newly opened small place... Decently decorated....we started with tamatar dhaniya shorba....it was really good....next was veg thali and egg biryani... thali had paneer labadar, dal makhni, raita, Jeera aloo, two butter roti and small quantity of rice. Everything was good except Dal makhni, it wasn't upto tha mark... Egg biryani was decent.
Perfect place with great food and amazing service. The ambiance is cozy and cute. If you are a dog lover don't forget to meet Zina, their hound. Ask the owners for the best dish in Menu and they will help you out gladly. Waiting to come back here soon.

I visited this place twice till now, and I think this is one of the few places in the uber busy lanes of Oshiwara who are consistent in their food quality and service.Ā
I tried prawns fried - deep fried prawn coated with semolina. Loved the size of prawns. they were really huge. Enjoyed thoroughly.Ā
Chicken bhuna with Taftan - I had taftan for the very first time. Taftan is a type of roti made from flour, milk and yoghurt and sprinkled with poppy seeds. It is quite lighter and flakier than our normal roti. This we paired with Chicken Bhuna, which was like match made in heaven.
Baikoz Galaouti KebabĀ - This was a slightly different take on the general galouti kebeb where they masala was little coarse as it was hand ground.
We had kokam sharbat and shikanji to go along with out food. Both drinks were refreshing and tasted good.
The first time I ordered was a haleem and crab curry. Both the dishes were brilliant but unfortunately the crab was without n e meat. So as a restaurateur I thought it my duty to inform the owner. Not only was the owner(Mithila) extremely professional but was kind enough to offer me a replacement. Took her offer on 2 weeks later and boy did she deliver. Insane Crab tandoori. Oozing with meat not to mention the courteous follow up past that. As rude as I may sound, it's always better to deal with such professional people. Sold for life. Kudos to Baicoz. Well done team Baicoz. I promise u I will try every dish non veg on your menu.

Had ordered lunch thali for our clients at exhibition for 3days they had packed the lunch very nicely .....2 roti + 1 pratha + 2 sabji + 1 dal + 1 raita + rice + 1 gulabjanum for a reasonable pricing (bulk order of 12-15 thali @ 215/- ) & very filling .....easily customizable as per budget ..... food was very tasty & medium spicy ( as we requested ). Would order again for my exhibition & visit restaurant soon.
The galouti kabab, Tandoori pomfret / king fish Fry, Chicken gilafi seekh, i can go on, but its best to go there and try it out yourself. These guys know what they are doing, more importantly they are passionate about food. Baikoz is definitely my favourite restaurant to eat in Andheri West !!!
I ordered chicken biryani last week from this place and it was amazing. Chicken was tender and rice was of good quality. Quantity was sufficient for two people. It actually had good amount of fried onions on top which tasted more delicious.
Earlier this week, mom was a little under the weather and since we were to return late from work, we decided to call for some dinner from Baikoz, a restaurant thatās been on our wish list since quite some time!
What we had:
tandoori bharwan aloo and paneer ajwaini tikka; the aloo was yum and tangy, the dash of lemon added to it just changed the way one would look at this dish!
dal makhani: definitely the highlight of the meal for me, well cooked dal that tasted and looked a lot like what mom makes at home!
paneer kadhai: strong on ginger and garam masala, this was a very new flavour base for me and I loved this combination!
Our meal was accompanied by Jeera rice and some Rotis!
Here is what we hogged at baikoz kitchenš¤¤ Great place and super delicious food ! The owner was very friendly and helped us with few of their best served dishes ! Had the best Solkadi here !!

Imagine yourself sweating on a cold December morning because you are petrified about the 1st dinner treat with your extended family. And a successful dinner is your coupon to a lifelong smiling mother-in-law (without any sarcasm), and happy married life. Now, that was me, with zero reservations on 27 December, when after scrolling the whole of Lokhandwala and Oshiwara opted to take a bet with Baikoz as they had a great seafood option (my mother-in-law loves fish).
Baikoz is a small restaurant with a big heart, situated in the foodland of Oshiwara (Google maps for the direction). Ashish and Hussain run this restaurant along with their Baikos (and so the name). What impressed me about the team during the 2-hour long dinner is their knowledge about food, and expertise in each dish which is served. My grandfather who was a restauranter himself would always say "Every owner should know to cook all the dishes on the given menu with the same consistency as the head chef. Actually, the chef should get trained by the owner. Only then will your restaurant will be blessed with longevity. Take the examples of Great & Sher e or mini Punjab, or even a Khyber. They have lasted so long as the owners themselves are involved in the day to day operations" And the same experience I observed at Baikoz were even the owners served and collected the plates post our meal.Ā All I can say is talk to Ashish when it comes to Seafood and Hussain for Mughlai. They both have in-depth knowledge about food, and that leads to some interesting interaction while you relish the food that is being served.
What did we order?
Staters:Galouti Kebab, Murg Gilafi, and Paya Gosht Shorba. The Galouti Kebab and Murg Gilafi are a must have. Ashish had recommended the Shikampuri Kebab, which I definitely try during my next visit. If you are looking for a milder version of Papu Payawala, then do try Baikoz.
Main course:
We opted for the Thalis rather than the a la cart, and we order the Fish, chicken, and prawns thali. The fish thali came with a fried pomfret, fish curry, rice, and bhakri. I had a spoon of the curry and rice and repented on ordering the Chicken biryani. Remember, each Punjabi is a foodie, and we had 8 Punjabis on the dinner table.Ā And each one of them wiped/liked their thalis as the food was delicious. The quality and quality was way beyond satisfactory.
The chicken biryani that I have had across the city of Mumbai, are either too spicy thanks to the masalas which burns the chest, or is plain bland. But the one at Baikoz was cooked to perfection. I only missed the mirch ka salan which I love to have with my Biryani.
Dessert:
The celebration ended with Gulab Jamun which are made in-house and they were fantastic.
Bill: INR 3500 for eight Punjabis.
I would highly recommend Baikoz, especially for the friendly experience, and great seafood. Call them in advance for table reservations for better seating options (though they will do their best to accommodate you and your loved one.

I visited this place alongwith a friend post work for dinner. We opted for an outside seating as the weather was perfect and they also arranged for a candlelight to make our dining experience memorable. The cuisine that this restaurant follows is Maharashtrian and Hyderabadi. Their Menu is a perfect combination of both and theyāre nailing it gracefully.

BAIKOZ KITCHEN: Just the place I needed to fulfil my cravings. Just a few months old, this kitchen is simply serving with the best of everything. Its located on the base of Meera towers, Oshiwara.
Not a fine dining, but can opt to sit, dine and have a lovely time. The cuisine is completely Indian based, especially for those who love seafood and Hyderabadi food.
Headed to this place recently and so was my experience.
Started off with a portion of Galauti Kebab, which is a signature dish of baikoz kitchen. Blissfully placed of mini paratha, these pure meat kebabs just go along too well with the mint chutney.
Being a seafood lover, I opted for a portion of Tandoori Pomfret. The size was huge and taste said it all. Loved the marination & the presentation.
For mains, we had a decent portion of Chicken Bhuna on our table accompanied by butter naans. I specifically asked them to make it spicy and it was just worth the money. Too good.
Ended of our meal with their special dessert called Khubani ka meetha which is an apricot based dessert. Frankly, it was something new for me with a bitter taste in the beginning but I ended up loving it.
Found this new place around Oshiwara right next to Sammy Sosa.. we ordered for Gilafi Kebab (chicken seekh prep) and Bombay duck in starters.. both were upto the mark with good taste and quality.. tried Prawns curry as suggested to go with bhakari and roti.. prawns were fresh and very well cooked with authentic Maharashtrian flavour.. not to forget all time favourite Sol Kadi..

Baikoz is a quaint little restaurant in the heart of Oshiwara. Placed amongst the hustle bustle of other small restaurants, this stands out for it's mouth watering and lip smacking and delicious home cooked food.
There are a few tables here but then in the ages of Swiggy and Zomato and Uber eats, people prefer ordering over coming to dine out.
Me n my Sister visited this place on a weekday for dinner after some impromptu shopping.
The owner, Mr. Hussain, is a kind hearted soul who will love to give you suggestions according to your tastebuds and liking.
We started with some Sol kadi and Buttermilk. Refreshing drinks, one of the best sol kadi in recent times.
Chicken Angara :
A spicy chicken kebab, cooked in tandoor with red chillies and spices. Absolutely perfectly cooked chicken, the spiciness was there, the coal flavor was there. They nailed this one.
Mutton Galouti Kebab :
Melt-in-the-mouth, softest, delicious, Galouti Kebabs in recent times. They serve it on a bed of Ulta Tawa Ka Paratha which is one of their specialities. Absolutely loved it. The spiciness was not too heavy, but the flavors were coming through. A small piece of the paratha, some kebab on top and some onion salad completes a bite. Do try it.
Bharwan Tandoori Aloo :
Potato fan as I am, we had to order this. Potato stuffed with mix veggies and some cheese and then cooked in tandoor. Heaven for vegetarians. Also, the cheese on top completes the dish.
Chicken Ra-Ra :
For the main course, we could just have one dish and ordered thr Chicken Ra-Ra as its something I had a long time ago and wanted to try it here. It has minced chicken as well as chicken pieces in spicy gravy. I liked it. It was spicy and cheesy too. The chicken was cooked well. We had it with Butter Roomali Roti and loved it.
We also had the Taftan there, which is reccomended to have with the Nalli Nihari but we had it with out chicken gravy. Taftan is a thick roti, originating from Persian and Pakistani cuisines, usually had with something thats too liquidy. I loved it. The bread was soft, not chewy at all and went well with the gravy.
Murgh Dum Biryani :
We were greedy to try the Murgh Dum Biryani though we were more than full. The biryani, cooked in dum, was amazing. The rice was not too dry, chicken was cooked well, didnt feel chewy. The biryani overall had a graviness to it and the raita with it went very well.
Malai Phirni :
For the dessert, we got the Malai Firni. Just the right amount of sweetness and the perfect ending to our North Indian meal.
I reccomend all the dishes that I had here as I myself loved it too much for me to visit this place again n again.
The service is very quick, we didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive.
Next time, I'm gona indulge in some seafood.

A really cute place with a pretty nice ambience.
A place which would fill your stomach and not be too heavy on your pockets.
The food was quite amazing for the cost and I had assumed that the restaurant specialised in Maharashtrian Delicacies but I was surprised to know that the also serve Mughlai and other North Indian dishes.
To be honest, this place crossed my expectations and I was impressed. The presentation along with the Quality was quite amazing.

A small 35-40 seater inside and outside that has recently opened with unique name. They are two friends and their wives all in the event space with experience of running a restaurant in Vashi earlier.
The ladies would be running the business and hence the name Baikoz which means wives. We were invited, then loved it so much that repeated it with friends again.
Began with Masala chhas and Sikanji - Must try.
As starters we decided VEG - Tandoor Bharwan Aloo and Subz Seeekh Kebab - Excellent
NON VEG - Galouti Kebab - excellent, Seekh Kebab - Ok but the mutton could be a bit moist and succulent. The rawa coated prawns were lovely with a squeeze of lime.
Then came the Mains
VEG: Mirchi ka Salan with the nice juicy and spicy mirchi NOT capsicum as I have had the misfortune to taste at some places. Veg Kadhai and aloo jeera.
NON VEG: Chicken Sukkhe - nice but have had better, however the masala was quite good, the maharashtrian way. The Haleem was very good, with some fried onions & chillies sprinkled with lime. Kombdi Vade was very good and definitely a repeat.
We actually tried Taftan, Khasta Roti, Ulte Tawa ke parathe and found all good, but came back and stuck to Ulte tawa ke parathe.
Managed just some steam rice, without having the space for biryani. Keeping it for another time.
In the sweet section tried Kesar Firni and Gulab Jamun - both ok.
A nice family place to have good lunch or dinner. The portions are quite substantial. Ask for Hussain or Ashish.

The owners-These 2 partners who have started Baikoz are very clear of what they wanted and what food they want their customers to taste. The name is a tribute to their beautiful wives as the Marathi word for 'Wife' is 'Baiko' hence the name Baikoz Kitchen literally means Wife's kitchen.
They have an amazing spread of palates and tastes. They have given the Goan and Malvani food a hint of Mumbai style and modernised it a bit. They also have a few dishes that take inspiration from North like Lucknow.
For example their Galouti Kebab which we tried reminded us of Lucknow's which just melts in the mouth and the texture is beautiful.
Their Sheekh Kebabs were too soft- almost breaking in the hands...
The best was their Sol Kadhi which definitely had Coconut Milk, Spices and Kokam and it was infused with fresh beatroot to give it a dark pink finish instead of the light pink ones that we usually see.. the flavour was strong and vibrant and fresh.
We tried their Taftan which was super soft with hints of coreander and Kesar.. which we relished with Chicken Korma and Butter chicken. The dishes were super yum.
Korma was very flavorful and it takes a lot of time to blend in so many flavours into it according to the owner.
Now the butter chicken they make in two styles here- one the Delhi styled which has a sweeter and buttery tone to it and One is Chicken Makhanwala which is the non sweet butter chicken type, more of spices.. we went for the Delhi styled butter chicken and were just floored by it.
The gulab jamuns were really soft and smooth and the almonds added a proper crunchyness to it

They are located in oshiwara, right next to sammy sossa. They serve Hyderabadi & Lucknowi cuisine. It is a small warmly place having 2 levels of seating area inside and outside as well. The food is comforting and delicious.

ā¢Ā Nalli Nihari is again one of their specialty and there are no doubts as to why. The paya is extremely tender & cooked to perfection that it simply melts into your mouth. One portion of this is sufficient for two. You just can't visit this place without not having Nalli Nihari.
ā¢Ā Lucknowi Biryani as we know lucknowi biryani are a bit blande as they don't have gravy in it so over all it was decent.

Verdict - If you are a seafood lover or love Hyderabadi & Lucknowi cuisine then you must visit them. Also, their food has a homely touch to it so you won't be missing on home food much. A must visit!
It's a small cafe type restaurant, right next to Sammy Sosa in Oshiwara Andheri. It has thali menu which were quite filling for 2 people. Shorba is must try. Food is cheap and taste is good. Can be better. Manager was quite friendly and open for suggestions. Fish fry and curry was amazing.
If you are really willing to try it out I would suggest to book it in advance. Place is super small and might not be available at peak hours.
Parking is not available I would rather suggest to use a cab to visit this place.

This place is for a true dhaba style food lover. Don't go by the name it does only serve great seafood but also serves some of the most awesome North Indian non veg as well as veg dishes. As the ramzan season is going on the best thing to try that is haleem and nalli nihari. they also have various ramzan Special dishes which is only served during the ramzan month. Next week write the prawns the pomfret tandoori fry which is a must try I just loved them. The chicken biryani is one of the best chicken biryani is I have had. With nalli nihari they had served taftaan which was a very soft roti. The galouti kebab was so soft and was best which was served with a roti as a base which was so soft as well. The chicken chapli kabab was just like a Chicken kabab and I love that too. and last but not the least we had the garam garam Gulab Jamun which was so good and much needed after such a delicious lunch.
I would highly recommend this place for any non-vegetarian lover.
And one more thing, authentic vegetarian dishes are also served in this place.
So even the vegetarians can enjoy delicious dhaba style food in this place.

Baikoz is a place owned and managed by two couples and the wives are behind all the recipes, hence BAIKOZ (In Marathi Baiko means wife)
They do not have any branches
It is a small outlet with a little more than dozen can fit in the inside seating. The place is clean and hygienic. They play most recent hit songs (mostly the slow ones) which was an addition to the already good and subtle ambiance.
The waitstaff wasnāt that knowledgeable about the items, except one of the owners. Upon his recommendations we went ahead with SUBZ SEEKH KEBAB which was the highlight of the evening. Almost one of the best kebabs I have had so far. We also ordered PANEER LABABDAR along with KULCHA and TANDOORI ROTI. Paneer and the roti was good but Kulcha was amazing.
The food was presented well. We also ordered rumali roti. The first one was kind of half cooked so they got it replaced. One can also try the Masala Chaas here. Overall a good experience in a small cozy place located in the busy area of Oshiwara.

Baikoz in Oshiwara is recent addition to sea food serving restaurants along with equally delicious vegetarian food.
The place is small and not fancy but the ambiance is cosy, with paintings on the wall and rustic lamps. Also, the service is prompt and the quality of food is also good.
A casual, comfortable atmosphere is the perfect setting for dinners, light lunch with friends, or any sort of family celebration. Plus, the seafood served up is caught and cooked fresh every day making it more tempting. The Vegetarian menu is equally good, specially the Sabz Seekh is a must try.
