Sunlight, though by the looks of it, seems like a shady small place. But I must admit, it goes for a total 180 degree turn once you enter the place. The atmosphere, the vibe and the ever accepting attitude of mumbaikars is evident when you're here. Service is quick. There is no individual table system here, you sit with strangers and sing, enjoy with them. And that's what makes it stand out. Highly recommend it if you like desi, lively places.

Visited sunlight with group of friends some time back. Believed to be a competitor to kitkat, this college crowd puller is good to go when one is low on budget and want to booze in a place like SOBO. The ambience is like any other shady bar. There is mostly waiting on weekends so expect a waiting of 10 mins atleast and make it a point to carry cash. Also there's a jukebox which plays 90's song by paying a charge of Rs. 20/- per song. For the people who are okay with smoking can use the Ac room upstairs else it's recommended to sit downstairs.

1) Chicken Lollypop - (4/5) A perfect appetizer with cheap booze. The lollypop were crisp and spicy. Loved the Schezwan sauce. A must try.😊👍🏻
2) chicken crispy (4/5) normal crispy which we get at any restaurant with chicken and veggies tossed. However, the portion size is less for the price charged.
3) chicken triple rice (4/5) the triple rice was as expected but the gravy compliments it well again nothing extraordinary.

But all in all, a good experience to hangout at month end, total value for money, would visit again and surely recommended for people who aren't willing to spend much on hard drinks. A suggestion to improve their hygiene quotient. Nevertheless give it a try and revive your college days memories as it's filled with college crowd most of the time👍🏻✨
It was Sunday evening.. generally crowded... u need to wait for the seat.. food was ok.. the atmosphere inside the Bar was excellent.. good place to hangout with friends.. avoid kn holidays specially evening
A little shady and untidy toilets. But the food and service are amazing. Perfect for getting hammered with friends (if you're not into aesthetics)

It’s a cosy shady bar with good music. The prices of alcohol I feel are a little to high.
The crowd was chill.
We just ordered chicken popcorn to eat and it was good.
The AC section is full even in the afternoon so reach early to grab a table.

The staff is very attentive , most of the bar don't allow smoking but here you have an option of smoking , it's a copy small place but the vibe is what your are looking , food is delicious
There options for veg as well as non veg. Its good in quality and quantity at reasonable rates
They have washroom facilities for men and women both
They don't accept card or Google pay so make sure you carry your cash , for your own belonging you are responsible so make sure of that too

Perfect place to hang out with friends over a drink. Small and cozy but buzzing with young crowd. A favorite for college students and young professionals. The first floor seating is air conditioned and smoking is also allowed inside. The music is not too loud and the selection is great. Pocket friendly as well. Will visit again, highly recommended.
This isy first bar visit, though I don't drink, but my friends recommend this place cause of the atmosphere and food. The drinks are great here along with the services. Liked the food here, you can hog on them and enjoy the food here.

Sunlight is a very old watering hole for people who love local ambiance and are particular about visiting swanky places.. this joint has been around for over 30 years... Their popcorn menu is the best out of all that I ate there. Never realised beer with popcorn would pop my head!! Their vegetarian options are a lot better than their chicken options... Fish is still bearable!!
If you want to get wasted and not spend a lot of money, this is a place to be! The pricing updated my is for 6 people and 5 hours of constant drinking!!
A good hidden bar at Marine lines. A typical bar but what separates it from others is the jukebox... People play they favorite songs and almost the entire bar starts singing in chorus... the place looks a bit shady from the outside but as soon as you reach the 1st level (AC section) you come across people from all generations and gender.. AC section allows in room smoking and the section is dimly lit... the vibe and crowd along with service was too good... can avoid using the toilets.. we didn't try much food options but basic bitings.. the popcorn turned out well...

You get cheap liquor and good food at very reasonable prices here. It is situated in front of Furtado's.
Divided into two sections - On the ground floor and AC section above. I sat along with my friends in the ground floor section.
If you are too finicky about sitting cheek-by-jowl ("sivery close to") by other customers, then maybe you should avoid it. But if you wish to enjoy a song with a stranger, get to know locals, make few buddies along the way....while STILL enjoying with ur friends, come to this place.
