So I had a midnight train to catch and right after reaching the station well ahead of time, I recognised my starvation.
Instead of making the best out of the available options inside the railway station premises, I made time to get out for food with my partner.
It was my 5th day at Mumbai (Delhi-ite am I) and had to use Zomato to find a fine dining place when I came across this place. I went inside this place and instant mingled with the old school vibes this place offers.
The hospitality was delightful and the food was delicious. The staff were well groomed, well mannered and most admirable smile on their faces. Not to mention, they were very considerable of my train timings and expedited my orders.
I would never forgot the wow experience and started going here everytime I was in Mumbai, irrespective of the travel I had to make to reach here.
Soo guyz captain cook is one of the best restaurant in Mumbai central.

I've been visiting Captain Cook since I was 5. It has been a family restaurant for my family. Any occasion however small it may be we would go and celebrate there. The staff is very friendly. Food is amazing. Just right. The soups are pretty decent. My favorite dish even after 20 years is prawns biryani. Which I'm always eager to have. Must visit once. Cheers!

Visited dis place this Sunday. Nice place. really fast service . But they need to make arrangements for a family of 10 ppl to sit together which wasn't der😐
We ordered Chinese platter and tandoori platter.Chinese platter was really awesome. Even the soups😍dis place is awesome for Chinese food. But other cuisines were equally tasty😗 Overall a superb place to visit✌
It has been quite a long time i have been here, but when i was here the service was nice. Food is not extraordinary but everything is good and won't be disappointing too. Taste is just right, quality is nice, they have a good drinks menu. Too tight for that area and on pocket as well according to food.

The food was very good, I did order chicken manchow soup" soup was OK" then I order the chicken tandoori, it was much better to soup ,
I'm eating my lunch, I also enjoy very much, will try to go back to this place, service Staff also nice
Sweet lassi is very tasty. Mushroom dishes are awesome. Nice place near mumbai cst with walkable distance. Fits into budjet and good atmosphere
Food wise taste is good but over priced menu had panner tikka which was tender and lung fung soup was ok but didnt like the paneer kadai only if u r in this area and u want to have a drink then visit this place ,ambience is ok,staff is courteous,its a family kind of place means u can go with ur family and valet parking is also available
This Restaurant is at mumbai central and a family bar, food here is awesome, veg and non veg starters go good with drink, main course : chicken tikka masala and butter chicken goes good with butter naan
We've been to this restaurant alot over the years from way back when we were kids. It's owned by the same folks at Kalpana right besides. Not alot has changed even today the staff is awesome and always friendly some of the best service I've seen so far. Food is decent tasting and flavorful, they make some good kebabs and tandoori but sadly the menu doesn't look like its changed at all since what I saw back in 2005. I dont know why they haven't included anything more than Chinese over the years- today dishes Italian food has become very normal.
Mostly good if your looking to have hard drinks along with your dinner, not a place just for the food by itself honestly.
