In a recent visit to Mumbai, I had the opportunity to spend an evening at this beautiful cafe. Not so hard to find, this place is right on the main road and most of the locals know about the place. The cafe has an earthy feel to it and the open space comes with perfect corners to unwind over a cup of tea.
I ordered for their cutting chai, pao bhaji, daal khichdi and Nutella and banana waffles. In 4 days, this was the best cup of tea I have had in mumbai. The bhaji and khichdi tasted familiar and Nutella and banana waffle is not to be missed. Sad they didn't have strawberry waffles. All this food for 2, here costed us some 900rs.
I hardly take time to write a review, but I today I am so so impressed with the food and ambience here! Keep feeding your customers this amazing food! The Masala Uttappa and Onion Bhajiyas are to die for, especially on a nice rainy evening! Kudos!

Chai-Coffi. Been here quite a few times in the last few years. Itâs one of the better places in the area to chill. Location is good as you have the cafe right beside Versova beach. The seating is comfortable be it outside or inside. Tried the following during my recent visit:
Double Shot Espresso: No complaints.!
Tomato Basil Soup - Quite all right. A little more flavour and it wouldâve been perfect.
Penne Pesto Pasta - Well cooked. Theyâve got the basics right. Itâs a safe option amongst the food items.
Overall itâs decent cafe no doubt. Service is good but there are times where in you might have to struggle for the staffâ attention. However, this is one place you can easily spend hours and not get tired of it. The ambience is apt if youâre looking to have a good conversation.
The margarita pizza here is my most favourite thing i go there to eat that specially as it is addictive amazing environment love it! A must visit for margarita pizza for all the veg lovers
Quirky place right next to the beach , louvve their oven baked pizza , hummus - pita is to live for , chai is great milkshakes are yummy , the soups are perfection. A nice little cafe by the seaside. Great ambience. Food was great. The spicy chat grilled chicken sandwich was filling and yum. The American and cappuccino were also good. Do give this place a visit.
Chai-Coffi, situated at Versova beach road is one of the nicer cafes in the locality. The place carries good vibe with decent seating, indoors and outdoors. Menu is good with some interesting options such as Kanda poha, kanda bhajiya, bun maska etc. Masala chai is too good. Salads and hummus are pretty decent too. They serve variety of desserts like cheese cakes, cupcakes, pastries etc. too.
Great food, teas and ambience!! We ordered the Strawberry and aloe tea, aglio olio spaghetti, mushroom popcorn and Keema Pav... And everything was fantastic!! A relaxed vibe and a tempting menu makes this place one to be visited often!! I didn't try the coffees but they sure looked good!

Itâs a very popular place. I liked the outside seating. The staff and managers are amazing and so funny. Some of the teas are not that great but other drinks and food is good. Easily gets crowd. Visit it and you will surely like it.

Amazing place to spend an evening with friends, although we had to wait a bit for the table the taste of cafe mocha left us refreshed. We also ordered a Pesto basil chicken pizza, it was so delicious totally worth the wait.
We had ordered Chicken Chipotle Pizza which was really good, and is a must try at this place. The cold coffee here was also really good. We had ordered Cheddar cheese sandwich which was not that great, it was like an ordinary sandwich, not the price paid. The ambience of this place is okayish, but thumbs up for the pizza and cold coffee
Loved the location area. Service, ambiance and food was amazing. Will prefer to visit more often with friends and family. Sweet waiters but they need to be more active. Great little place at Versova beach.. I love the ambiance and the location bis great . You easily get car parking as well... The washroom is very sorry most of the time which is disappointing however the chai that they serve is amazing.. This joint has one of my favourite tea brand so people if you also a green tea fan then youâll get to pick from varieties of Teaâs like mojo mojo , Caribbean tea etc .. sandwiches and pizzaâs are delicious.. yoi can delicious decaf coffee too here . This time I had road side veg brown bread sandwich and coffee . Taste is always good . Staff is quick . The only thing was bothering me was there is two section one is outside and the other one is inside so the people who smokes can sit outside and those who wants to avoid passive smoking can sit inside but customers and staff were continuously opening and closing the door as bill counter n kitchen was inside .. so all the smoke was coming inside .... Cafeâs keep healthy options in there menu and dnt keep no smoking board in thr cafe .. I mean why !! Anyways .. if that doesnât bother you then food , staff and ambiance is awesome đ

Was one of the first places to open in versova giving a definitive to the place, the milkshakes and yogurt with salads to the succulent starters itâs always a good time for chai or coffee for those chai coffi lovers out there!
Egg bhurji- the perfect home made bhurji Not oily, food soft texture and too dry with toasted bread
Masala chai -perfect mix of cardamum masala and ginger the perfect requirement during the rains, refreshing tea made me have one more
Cappuccino- friend liked it.
Garlic bread- not perfectly toasted soggy soft bread was a bit turn off however the garlic and chilli flakes were on point
They have poha, chaat and lot other stuff to try, the outside section has too many flies, may be due to rains and the vicinity.

This place is right next to the beach. I think this is a great hangout or casual meetup spot because of its location. It gives me a positive vibe and makes me feel happy. The oreo shake, cold coffee, garlic bread and chilli cheese toast are pretty good. I have never really tried the other food items here. So, if you want to have a relaxed evening to refresh your mind or if you want a change from the regular ccd and costa coffee, do try out this place. It is certainly worth it!!

I was crazy for their Cafe mocha and now I'm a fan of their Hot chocolate too... I'h been hunting for some good hot chocolate all over the city...n this one tops the list leaving TVC & CSC hot chocolate behind. Also tried their caesar salad which was alright.
Located just besides versova beach, this is a nice hang out place. The outdoor seating is ambient, breezy and under the natural shade of trees! There were alot of flies around. The hygiene can be improved to get rid of flies.
We ordered for-
1. Cutting chai- a nice hot cup of cutting chai with a strong flavor of ginger. A typical Mumbai tapri style tea. Loved it.
2. Fresh lime soda- the soda was perfectly made. Absolutely refreshing especially in the Mumbai heat.
There was only one guy serving the entire place. But the service was quick. Didn't try any food yet.
Over-all, the place is fine to catch up with someone over a cup of tea\coffee. The pricing is decent too.

Chai-coffi has been at versova for many years now and there is no doubt as to how it has been so successful. They have a huge variety of food, drinks and sheesha to offer. The Cold coffee is made to perfection, they have done a total justice to the cutting chai also the sandwich & pasta are cooked well. If that wasn't enough they do have an open sitting area where you can do sheesha (for all the sheesha lovers). It makes up for a perfect place for you to chill with your friends and also to have a casual meeting set up here.
I would say a must try especially when it is right next to the beach, since you can walk through the beach asa you done with your beverages and food.
Chai-coffee is my fav cafe if I plan to visit versova.It is simply next to the beach and you have an AC seating area inside and an outside seating area where smoking and hukka is allowed.Its a sweet little cafe wherein you can hang out with your friends and the staff is polite.They do not have a complicated menu,it's a sheet from where you need to select everything you want.The ambience is good and you must try the nachos,peach ice tea and oreo-shake.They also have different sandwiches and pastas if you are a pasta fan.And you must go for the masala chai Incase you are masala tea lover.In all the place is good to relax,calm and the food is decent.You might find is little expensive owing to the place and area,but it's great to hang out with a bunch of friends on a Saturday or Sunday.

Chaicoffee is good but only during winters and rainy season. It is a little hot to sit outaide during summer.
The open area is a bit dull, food is average.

I have been here several time. I love the cold coffee of this place and also chai in mud cup. They serve the best hummus. Itâs just perfection . They ambience is very cozy and friendly to have a conversation over tea or coffee with some bites. Their service is also pretty good and friendly. I love this place and highly recommend.

In one of the popular bylanes of Versova, Chai Coffi is a great place to hangout with friends or stop by for a evening with the partner. The ambience is cozy and extremely attractive. The entrance is enthralling and the cafe is extremely spacious, with a good seating capacity indoors as well as outdoors. If you wish to avoid the smoke, choose one of the tables inside as the outside is the smoking zone. The outside is well protected from the weather and you can relax there even during heavy showers.
The ambience is appealing with simple decor. They do have an extensive menu when it comes to food but the chai and coffee varieties are quite few (if you go by the name). The food is a little on the expensive side though the teas and coffees are well priced.
The service at the outlet is a little slow and during rush hours, you'll have to remind your server a couple of times before your order arrives.
We ordered the Silver Needle Tea, Yoga Cha Tea, Brun Maska, Garlic and Cheese Naanza, and a Banana Toffee Waffle. In terms of quantity, the teas are the best. You get almost 2 and a half cups with each pot. The flavours are authentic and satisfying. The Brun Maska comes toasted and well buttered. The Naanza is basically a naan in the size of a Pizza. The Garlic Cheese Naanza tasted good and the flavours were well balanced.
While the food was of good quality, coming to the waffle, it was disappointing to say in the least. We expected something with banana and toffee sauce - which is how it is served at most waffle places. However, the waffle came with banana slices and Melody chocolate on top! The waffle smelled too much of egg and it felt like we were having a sweet omlette. The worst waffle experience so far.
Except for the end, we had a good evening. A good place to chill and relax.

Chaicoffi is an amazing cafe located near Versova Beach. It was one of the most happening cafes in Versova when it had opened years back. Slowly it been losing its charm & the management is trying to make innovative changes to beat the same.
I have been a regular visitor here for years now. The food served here is good & its an amzing cafe to enjoy breakfast too. They have recently started serving sheeshas also.

Pizza served here is delicious & mouth-melting. Thin crust pizza with lots of cheese makes it the most irresistible combination. I have tried tgeir plain margarita pizza & chicken tikka pizza. Both are delicious.
Bhel:
Whenever Im followinh a strict diet, their bhel acts as a saviour for me. All the ingredients used are of premium quality.
Keema pav:
You will certainly not regret ordering this. Its delicious beyond words.
Dahi batata puri:
The curd used is thick, creamy & the sweetness is perfect. The chutneys are delicious. Surely worth trying.
Ragda pattice:
Hot & delicious ragdaa is accompanied with one big pattice. The pattice is too delicious to be missed. A complete meal in itself.
Kanda bhajiya:
Crispy & delicious bhajiyas with green chutney. Best enjoyed with cutting chai during rains.
Chicken shawarma:
Lebanese chicken wrap with french fries, pickles & sout cream. A delicious & filling wrap.
I miss the times when this place used to be just Barista. It has undergone many transformations since. Chai coffee is much more than just a coffee shop. It has a full fledged food menu. It's still a nice place to hang at.
