Since my mom was not in the mood to cook yesterday, we decided to order food from out.. since dad was in the mood for some Chinese and i was in the mood for something fried, we thought of ordering something different as compared to the usual rice or noodles..
So gondola was decided and the order was placed..
Things that i ordered:
1) sweet corn chicken soup - this is a mandate whenever i visit or order from this place.. the soup was not too thick not too thin, had the right amount of chicken and flavour.. and the quantity was very good for the price..
2) manchao soup - my dad ordered the chicken manchao soup for himself.. although the soup was good i found it a little sour after the first few spoons.. 2 by 3 quantity was enough to fill stomachs..
3) fried chicken wantons - since i was in the mood for something fried, here it was.. crisp wantons golden fried with a chicken filling.. the good part of the wantons is that i didn't find them too oily..
4) Kung pao chicken starter - when i asked the restaurant for a recommendation they recommended kung pao.. i was told that it is a red based chicken mild spicy and a little sweet..however, on eating this, i sure felt that it was a bit extra sweet..
Other things i have tried:
1) chicken burnt garlic chilly fried rice - chicken fried rice made the burnt garlic style.. one of my favourites of this place!
2) crispy honey chicken - a nice light brown chicken starter fried crispy in a different brown sauce with honey.. i wouldn't say i am a big fan of this dish but it wasn't bad..

One of the places that i have visited since my childhood is Gondola, bandra.. this is a small, cute, homely restaurant located at pali hill, bandra run by the zorabian family.. i cant even recollect the first time i visited this restaurant since it was years back..
One of the things i love about this restaurant is their music.. it is very rare that we get to hear 80's music at restaurants these days! One of the many reasons that my parents love this place! Also, this place has a variety of items on menu - sizzlers and Chinese, both equally good!
Over the years i have learnt not to visit this place without making a reservation because of the long waiting.. i remember this old uncle coming to take the order.. one of the sweetest and courteous person I've met..
Either ways, over the years i have tried almost every chicken and prawn dish at gondola, but below mentioned are my all time favourite..
1) chicken shashlik sizzler - a nice piece of boneless chicken with a creamy brown sauce..i usually don't like my sizzlers with veggies so they very nicely gave me only fries instead..
2) sweet corn chicken soup - an all time classic chicken soup, simple and savoury..
3) tempura prawns - a good portion of prawns golden fried crisp..
One thing not to miss at this place is their mustard.. made from fresh mustard seeds this mustard can tickle any nose!

It is a cute small restaurant serving a plethora of Chinese and continental delicacies . The serving size is big and service is very warm and friendly. I ordered pink Panther mocktail , butter garlic prawns , Singapore stir fry vegetables , gondola signature exotic chicken steak sizzler and caramel custard . Everything was really flavourful and amazing.
I recommend butter garlic prawns and caramel custard for sure.
A very quite yet aesthetic place. Serving since 47years. Very authentic dishes.The sauces in which they prepare is lovely. Great quantity. Superb quality. Must try their sizzlers, caramel custard and anything in prawns.š
Gondola has been serving around the best Indian Chinese and Sizzlers in Bandra area from the years now. Compact and efficient, the USP of the restaurant is good quality, good quantity food at affordable rates.

Located at Pali Hill, Gondola is a beautiful restaurant.. it's a hidden gem in Bandra.. they have amazing food and mocktails.. I would recommend chicken spring rolls, chicken manchow soup, refreshing fresh lime soda and pepper garlic chicken.. the service was quick.. Shadeb served us well and Mr Peter suggested us some good dishes.. overall it's a great place to go with family and friends and have delicious food!!
Located in Bandra , I found this place quite cozy and delightful. The interiors are beautifully done. We had the pepper garlic fish, grilled chicken and cheese, Dragon fried rice and brownie with ice-cream. The dishes are extremely scrumptious and flavourful. The mocktails, virgin pinacolada and pink panther were mouth watering! The quanlity and quantity of the food is superb! The service was great as well. Overall, we had a

This amazing restaurant is operated by the zorabian family and serve lip smakcing food. We recently visited their bandra outlet and had ana amazing experience.
We tried some of their best dishes and heres what we have to say
1. Chicken lollipops - It was a lil dry in taste but tasted good with the schezwan sauce. The portion was 6 pieces.
2. Deep fried stuffed pomfret - Pompret fish deep fried and cooked to perfection. The fish was soft on the inside but loaded with a lot of ginger sauce.
3. Chicken wontons- This was the best dish of the evening. Chicken wrapped in wonton sheets and cooked to perfection. It was medium spicy in taste.
4. Chicken junglee sandwich - Stuffed with chicken and mayonnaise this sandwich was served with fries. Delicious in taste.
5. Steak burger - The steak was bland in taste and not a recommended dish from our end.
6. Veg pad thai noodles - Perfectlu cooked pad thai noodles topped with veggies and spicy in taste. Deliciously yummy
7. Sizzling brownie with ice cream - Hot chocolate brownie topped with ice cream and hot chocolate sauce. Great option for dessert to enjoy here.

Gondola at Pali Hill Market is the best restaurant for its Chinese food and sizzlers. The quality of the food is good and the quantity great. The service is quite fast and the staff is polite and friendly. Mr. Peter suggested us most of the items and Shadeb gave us good service. We had Chicken manchow soup, Fresh lime soda. Chicken spring roll, Pepper garlic chicken and Triple combination rice and noodles.
Overall a great experience.

This outlet is kind of famous in defense colony and I am happy they are here in Punjabi bagh too.I tried grilled chicken yesterday at this outlet.it was served with different sauces like mint garlic and coleslaw.
Chicken was slow cooked so it was juicy and tender.i just love this kind of chicken

Do head out to this place to indulge in the best sizzlers in town. I tried their Gondola special sizzlers, totally my kind of sizzlers - lots of veggies and chicken oozing our a hell lot of cheese....everything I ate at this place was scrumptious and appeasing. During this visit I tried, gondola special chicken soup, one of the best chicken soups I have ever had. Tangy, spicy and full of minced chicken....loved the butter garlic prawns. Do try this if you want to indulge in something mild or less spicy. The house special chicken lollipops are a must try again, come with dry gravy. And do try Kung pao chicken that comes in spicy sauce. This place is a delight if you like spicy food. However, you get a lot of non spicy food options too...,,,apart from yummy food and excellent service, I am in love with the cozy and warm ambiance of this place. The ambiance is old school yet so chic. Mostly white interiors, aesthetic painting and fresh flowers on the table. Fantastic place for a dinner date. Or any kind of family outing.
A lovely quaint and often overlooked place. Although I have been living in the locality for nearly three years now, I had not been to Gondola and I am glad I did today.
The noodle soup was impeccable and as good as they come, the chili chicken burger was excellent, sizzler too was very flavorful. They provide a nice assortment of sauces to go with the sizzler. The staff seems polished and as with most Bandra joints - have great etiquette

I used to frequent Gondola with my family about 2 decades ago and I remember it being a favorite then.
I recently went back to the restaurant and I'm glad to see that things have changed for the better
While the service is great and the menu is elaborate, the food here is the real winner.
I've tried most of the dishes on the menu and was slightly unsatisfied only once in about 8 vistis, so it's safe to say that you can't really go wrong with the food here
But DO NOT MISS the chilli chicken roll/burger, the Hunan Dimsum Soup and the Caramel custard.
Great portions, great food quality, great service and great value.

This place has been my all time favorite and I've been coming here since I'm a child. They have the best food best staff and the most cost ambiance now.

Gondola Restaurant in Bandra has been our favourite sizzler place for a while now. Whenever we are a craving a mean beef steak sizzler, this is our go to place, so much so that even the staff knows us by now! š We have tried mostly ever sizzler on their menu and they are all simply delicious! However the ones that top our list are Gondolaās Steak Sunny Side up, which is a beef sizzler with minced chicken in the middle and Gondolaās Signature Chicken Exotica. A must try place for Chinese too!

Located in Bandra, this restaurant is decked up with tastefully done interiors. We ordered the Beef Burger and Chicken n Cheese Sandwich.
The Beef Burger was tasty -there was a spicy and tangy sauce which uplifted the burger.
The Chicken n Cheese Sandwich was nice as well, just that there should be a bit of spice or something to intensify the flavors more.
Overall, a good place for a tasty burger with a nice ambience.
They serve some good non veg sizzlers and burgers. I tried beef rice sizzler which was damn good. Chicken burger which was very filling and chicken lollipop which was decent. Overall good experience
This place has been my to-go place for almost 25 years. I have fond memories feasting on their sizzlers ever since I was in school. The place is very homely and they keep reinventing themselves every few years. One can tell how good the management is by the retention of their staff. The servers here have been with them from the time I can remember and it is always homely coming back.
The sizzlers are just fantastic. Better than any of the other restaurants. Their Chinese food is awesome and the portions are really good.

Growing up in Bandra, one has fond memories of Bandra Fair, Maurice Concessio, the Goan Pao, the Pao Bhaji push cart across from National College, the Jhinga Koliwada along the Linking Road fringe of the Khar Telephone Exchange. the wintery Paya Soup at A-1 Grill, the cheap beer and potato chips at Casbah, the East Indian speakeasiesĀ (Pascal's and Aunty's come to mind) and on it goes. Among these indelible memories, was the sizzlers at Gondola across from the old Pali Market. So, I was persuaded by an acquaintance to relive that memory, after decades.
Walking past the ever so busy Pali Naka, towards Gondola, I was not sure what to expect. The anticipation was intense. As I peered in, the place beckoned we with a familiarity that cannot be put in words. But as I stepped in, the interior was not like I had imagined. The place was quaint, yes, but it looked so fresh and inviting and bright. The holiday festoons were still there and the distress-styled furniture was appropriate for the overall decor of the restaurant. A familiar face invited me in. I was home. Ambience gets a two thumbs up.
If there is ever a word association for Gondola, it has to be sizzlers. This day, however, I was leaning towards a bad boy steak; there was a tug of war for the sides - Fries? Veggies? The good Manager tempted me with a side of mash and I yielded without any resistance. For good measure, I got a side of veggies - to keep the Health Gods happy.
When oneās having a steak, I rationalised that a soda was not that much of a transgression - especially if it were a diet soda. Not! So, I sipped my chilled diet soda and waited patiently for my entre. I ordered my steak medium rare.Ā
The side of veggies came in first - I looked real close and confirmed that was so. The veggies looked charred - I like charred.Ā
Soon, Gondola's Mini Steak made its way. The dish was a bit busy with the mash and the caramelised onion. The steak was hardly visible under that generous dousing of the Worcestershire sauce and over-shadowed by the mash and caramelised onion. My steak knife did get some push back; I would have characterised the steak as medium well - there was no pink in sight. Oh well! Regardless, the steak was juicy and imploded in my mouth with the flavor. No, it wasnāt an Omaha steak; nor was it close. But I liked it. The mash was not velvety but it wasnāt clumpy either. The caramelised onions had that unmistakable sweetness and coddled the steak in a way that only my tastebuds could describe. Together, they danced in perfect harmony. Occasionally, I took in the veggies with the charred flavor. I was in culinary heaven.
Personally, a full-bodied Pinot Noir would have nudged me further into that culinary heaven. The Licence Raj that prevails will not permit that, at least in the near term.Ā Ā
After supper, I coyly inquired if I could have a coffee. An Americano would have been perfect. But I was offered a Nescafe and I accepted it without shame.Ā Ā
Food getsĀ thumbs up with two caveats:Ā
I would have preferred my steak medium rare (pink is an imperative) andĀ
The presentation (for the entre as well as the side of veggies) could have been a tad better. The importance of presentation, the visual, cannot be overstated.
If anything, Service at the present-day Gondola is streets ahead of what it used to be. There were three extremely capable captains and perhaps just as many servers. The proficiency gap between these grades was fathomless. The servers have some ways to go; but the captains were in a superlative class. The captains carried the day and I had an experience that would match any fine dining establishment. Service clearly gets two thumbs up.
Overall, my visit to Gondola was not a trip down memory lane. My memory was so eroded with the vagaries of time, I did not have a mental benchmark. But, I loved the experience. I will be doing an encore very soon. If there is one little word of advice to management, it would be to have a more efficient exhaust system. The vapors from the sizzlers need some help to get dissipated so as to avoid discomfort to the other patrons. Without hesitation, I would recommend Gondola to the foodie community, regardless of their persuasion - vegetarian or non-vegetarian.
For VFM steaks /sizzlers and burgers in Bandra, even the chicken sandwich was nice.Stewards are warm and friendly.Has a nice Bandra warm atmosphere.

Gandola is a renowned restaurant in Pali Hill, Bandra. I've visited here in childhood many times and my recent visit was after a long while to relish my memories. It was surprising how the interior has been improved to have a more cafe-look. The lighting has been done very well and there is ample space for a lot of diners to dine at the same time. At the same time, the staff here is polite, courteous and really helpful. My favourite dish at this outlet and the main reason for me to visit here is the Chicken Shashlik Sizzler. It's served hot and the quantity is generous. The chicken in the sizzler is hot, tender and fresh which can be felt in every bite. The only constraint I found in my experience with the sizzler was that the sauce felt too pepper-y!Ā
However I would recommend you to visit Gondola without any hesitation. They have a variety of other dishes available in their menu as well.

Food is lovely. However they forget to send their tangy mustard and tomato chilly sauce everytime you order. That's disappointing.
Try the mini meals. They're anything but mini. Fish in sizzling sauce is lovely.
An age old joint. Always welcoming staff, good food and pocket friendly.
Brownie with Ice cream, Chicken Lunch Combo Caramel Custard all were fab.
A must visit place in Pali Hill. It certainly gives you the pristine white vibes that relax you. A great one to hang out with friends and family alike. Its bit crowded on weekends and you might have to wait a while. But trust me this place is truly worth the wait!
If sizzler is on your mind then Gandola at pali hill is where u need to be. Its a lil difficult to locate the place but once u reach Janta its jus besides it. The interiors and service i shud say is EK NUMBER.

We ordered chicken corn soup which was just right. The x factor for this place is the Gandola sea food special sizzler which contains a huge pomfret stuffed with prawns. It also had exotic veggies and fried rice which was nothing but divine.
We also ordered fresh lime soda which was gud.

Visited this beautiful restaurant on Tuesday late evening with the family--- what a service,what a food and the manager/owner a really helpful person he guided what to try, about the food mouth watering spicy meat soup(crab), chicken noodles, prawns all were yum, the manager/owner made us feel at home. Amazing service and I would rate this restaurant at 6. Keep the good service I will visit this place again and again .... Much recommended place to visit.
This is such a nice place. Located on Pali Hill on the jane opposite Janta. Unless you really know this area itās a bit difficult to come across this place. Had an amazing dinner, the sizzlers looked amazing which the other tables had ordered but we had Chinese. It was so amazing, the sweet corn chicken soup couldnāt be more perfect than how it should be, the staffs are polite and service is super prompt. Nice and cozy to sit with appropriate decor nothing thatās out of place or overdone. Will definitely keep visiting this place. Itās hard to find. Restaurant nowadays where you can literally put a tick to everything you want out of that place and this is one of those places. Highly recommended!!!!!
Simple yet tasty food. Ordered the lunch combo for dad and I. The food was sufficient for the both of us. The lunch combo consisted of a soup, appetizer, sauce, rice or noodles, mocktail and a dessert. The last time we visited Gondola it was closed for renovation, and now itās finally open with an overall upgrade in the decor.
The interiors and the waiting area outside looks fab and creates a pleasant ambience.
We tried the Chicken chilly burger and Steak chilly burger. Donāt go to the looks of it, the burger was simply scrumptious, with the bun being soft and the filling being different with grilled chicken/steak pieces and not the typical patty. The price charged for the burgers are quite nominal too.
Will definitely recommend the burgers offered here and service too is commendable.

Have been eating here since i was a child but recently discovered the chilly steak roll and its spicy as hell but extremely delicious. Great family restaurant to eat at.
This is a really nice place. The burgers here are amazing. The burgers are the main reason I keep eating from here. I generally order at home and the delivery time is about 20 minutes so really pleased with the service. Through they deliver quick there is no compromise on the the quality.

If you're a beef lover and want to try out some Vintage places in Bandra then you gotta head here. Ive had the beef chilly burger and a steak sizzler, both were amazing. Place might have odor of an old furniture that need to be re-done, the food is surely good.
I'd go here any time i fee like and try out other stuff on the menu.

Beef chilly in their menu made me go here,the burger was very good,also tried the steak shaslik sizzler which was very okish as i found the meat too hard n chewy for my liking,could hve been better where was the chicken club sandwich with their home made mayo was really good. Salman the captain was very welcoming with his team n made the experience fairly pleasant.

It's a nice little restaurant for a cosy evening or dinner outing with a small group of friends or a date. The place is small so not suitable for a huge group because of its size and popularity. There's always a good number of people waiting so expect a waiting time of at least half an hour during weekends.
The restaurant is most famous for its beef burgers and sizzler platters which have a distinct style of cooking that makes it flavoursome. There are other options as well, there are chicken and mutton dishes as well which are equally good. The food is not spicy so if that's the taste one prefers prior request is necessary. The soup was pretty good as well and so were the starters. The restaurant scores pretty well in taste and food quality.
The service is the area which needs little improvement because the staff felt too less compared to the crowd which slowed the speed of service significantly. The staff was very occupied and therefore wasn't able to pay attention to any other requests which were understandable but it's nothing that cannot be solved.
In terms of pricing, it's an expensive place but with good quality food, taste and quantity. If you're someone who likes beef dishes and sizzlers then it's the place you should check out.
One of my favourite and best place to have Halal non veg bugers, sandwiches and sizzlers. This resto serves delicious Buff steaks to die for. My weekend go to place in Bandra.
Visited here after long time and had their steak exotica sizzler along with their must try chicken lollipopāsā¦.! Also i am a fan of their chilly steak burger its amazingā¦..!
It's a small restaurant located in Pali Hill but the food, staff, ambience are perfect. It might be difficult to spot but make sure to follow Maps. The manager and the staff are such nice people. Usually there would be a waiting time of 5-10 minutes during dinner time. Their Beef Chilly Burger is the best burger in Mumbai for me. Their menu consists of Steak, Platter, Sizzlers, Chinese food, Dessert, Sandiwches, and Mocktails. The food is Halal as confirmed by the manager. I always suggest my friends to try this place out and they're almost never disappointed.

Gondolas is soul food. The beef chilly burger, the steak satellite or shashlik is to die for. Cutely nestled in Pali Naka, this indiscernible restaurant serves lip smacking stuff. Never ever have I returned unhappy from here.
Loved their sizzlers. The staff is warm and courteous. Quick service and decently priced. Small place so there might be waiting. Overall good experience
Gondola has been serving around the best Indian Chinese and Sizzlers in Bandra area from the years now. Compact and efficient, the USP of the restaurant is good quality, good quantity food at affordable rates.
Their servings are large. Although space is limited. Comfortable seating.

A small cute place in the heart of Bandra... If you crave a great sizzler, it is the place to go to. Amazing collection and variety of sizzlers they offer. The quantity is also pretty good.

I ordered Pink Panther Mocktail, Butter Garlic Prawns , Singapore Stir Fry Vegetables , Gondola ās signature exotic chicken sizzler and caramel custard. The food was served in right quantity and had the right flavours. They serve one of the best butter garlic prawns and Caramel custards Iāve had.

Great ambience with soft lighting. Makes you feel very comfortable. Great location. The restaurant is known for its chinese food which is just great. The special highlight is their sizzlers, I hope they maintain their quality and taste.
