The ambience was good and with the variety and the quality of food had a good lunch. It was also pocket-friendly so a good deal at all. staff is also mannered.
So had been here the other day during Kala ghoda festival. A friend insisted I go here and have their vada pav! And guess what? It was worth it. Must say, this is the one delicacy which they've nailed it and how! Perfectly buttered pav. Wholesome potato patty made with the perfect blend of Indian spices covered in thick chickpea batter and deep fried to perfection! This, and the Green chutney that is accompanied with it. One bite - and you're into Food heaven! Being a health freak and diet concious lady, I'd given up on this one food item that every Mumbaikar swears by, way back in 2012. But Dwarka not only made me break that resolution, but also made it worth the while! Also recommended is their podu idli and masala dosa.
Definitely worth another visit!
Cheers!!
Favourite place for South Indian breakfast near office. Very good and budget friendly restaurant for south Indian food. Sambhar at dwarka is my favourite. Tastes amazing with rice, pickle and papad. Medu wada and Idli is also too good!. Poha and Upma are also must try.
The best part about this restaurant is their south Indian Filter coffee! Its a must try after a good meal. Dosas are a bit oily and I would not recommend. Avoid chinese food at this restaurant as it is very disappointing and oily.
Dwarka is a traditional udipi restaurant with some additions like north india and chinese added on the menu so dont expect any extra ordinary service. Overall its a good restaurant for a good meal
The place is good. Was here near my friends office. so opted to have a lunch here. It's a good one. Simply best for the normal basic indian thali & fast foods.
Most cosy place to chat & chomp amongst town opposite stock exchange for their traditional vada pau and authentic green chutney served :)
Stocks & vada pau go hand in hand.
This place is so famous when u say someone am at stock exchange , he will insist "dwarka ka vada pau kha ke aana" super attachment.
Only minus no improvement on interiors and same old furniture:(
One should have a jump on this place just to eat vadapau & same tasty chutney served since ages .....
Keep slurppping ;)
A quite little joint in a bustling lane of stock brokers and agents. It's a perfect place for a quick bite and tea in the middle of the day. The place is located behind the the main Bombay Stock exchange building. This place is very famous for its south Indian food especially rawa idli. The sambar is to die for. They serve it fully dipped in a bowl full of sambar. I like Puri bhaji too. It's a standard version with 6 puris and aloo bhaji. It tasted really good as the puris were very crispy and the bhaji was just perfect with some small pieces of green chilly fried with onions. Also you get reasonably good tea and coffee in the restaurant so if you are in the area and want a small break this is a perfect place.
Awesome food
Best south Indian food in Mumbai
Chutneys are excellent the owner is pretty sweet towards customers
And helpful
Overall 5/5 experience
In the midst of heritage Building in Fort down towards the Hornimon circle, this Restaurant is right on the corner diagonally opposite to the Chruch. One can njy the light South Indian dishes like Idli, Mendu Wada good to try out. I'm evening time they also have a peas pattice which is slightly different from Vada Pav but a really good dish. Also in current situation the best part they accept payment via Paytm also 😀. Only downside they charge you for the extra chutney..as what they provide with the dishes is very little.
It's not one of those famous joints in fort, but is a regular among locals. If you are in need of a quick bite with decent quantity and reasonably priced food, Dwarka sure is the place for you.
I usually go with their paneer biryani which is served with papad and raita or curry. The biryani does have a lot of dry fruits and even soya chunks, but trust me the taste is good. Combine it with a glass of chass or some goodness of freshly squeezed juice and savour your food.
Worth a visit.
Tis place was a adda once upon a time in Mumbai...was craving for its pav bhaji and missal Pav today...everyday from office @4pm we use to go for these 2 items
Tried this place a few days back with my girlfriend and a friend. We called for Medu Wada Sambar, Tomato Onion Utthappam and a tomato soup. I liked the Medu Wada Sambhar. My girlfriend didn't like the Utthappam. And then the 2 girls shared the tomato soup and they found it good. Ambience is that of an Udipi restaurant. Decent place
Always full at lunch time. Super quick service. Friendly n polite staff. But biryani I had here was a little let down, lots of pepper corn n cloves. Plus soya chunks in Biryani? Good nutrition but not for texture n taste.
Hungry.. U got to go to dwarka.. South Indian food in less money n quick service. Even if u r alone u will certainly will not be alone..as u will have to share ur table with strangers in rush hours like lunch times.. But the if u work in the area u r bound to see familiar faces too.
Good place for a quick stopover because of its prompt service, delicious snacks and South Indian food.Pocket Friendly.
Service 4/5
Food 4/5
Ambience 3/5.
Nice place for good south Indian fast food but always full due to shoppers and office crowd. Fresh fruit juices and milk shakes are good too.
A quick stop for all you busy fort people with really good south Indian food. Their Idlis are soft and smooth and nice to eat with a spicy sambhar. Their dosas aee crisp and brown with a lovely potato bhaji stuffed inside the masala dosa. The uttapams are good too. Also try their Puri Bhaji, Bhel and Veg Thali.
Decent place for a quick bite in fort for vegetarians. Poha , dosa , idli , Chaas, all are decent. Even sabzi , roti and khichdi can be tried . If you work in an around this area , you can go for an economical meal. Gets crowded during lunch hours. Accepts Sodexos .
Awesome green peas wada, pattice and south indian dishes and pleasant service as well love it and reccomend it as well .

It's like local join.
Special tea is excellent.
Even south Indian food is good.
Best Sambar in town!!! This place brings back childhood memories of dining out with Dad! Then even having weekday lunch at an Udipi was special!
Good vegetarian restaurant in fort area. Went on the friend's recommendation to try idlis. They have different varieties of idlis. We ordered Kanchipuram Idli, Hyderabadi Idli and Rava Idli. All idlis were delicious and different and unique in taste. Even the Sambhar and Chutneys were good. Also tried their chat items, which were average.
Best service Food Was Delicious....Good and Pleasent Atmosphere in hotel primises
Veg place with good option of breakfast and lunch.. have average ambiance and oldie staff but good service. We tried puri bhaji once this time had idili and coffee...
