The sambhar and chatni were amazing. The food was nicely packed and was received without any spill. You must try if you are looking for authentic south Indian food!

Good food good mood, and this place serves authentic and delicious south indian dishes. Iv had the breakfast dishes here and the sambhar and chutney are really good.
Udipi Refreshment - Dadar East.
Your pocket friendly go-to vegetarian restaurant. I visited this place (alone) while commuting home from work. Tried a Masala Dosa and a filter coffee. The service was quick. The Dosa was good as well.
I have also tried Fries from here. Loved then with the curd they serve
One can visit such awesome food for variety of food items like pav bhaji, meals, bhel puri, juices, south indian, etc.... Great taste, fast service are main features of this place ..
Food here is very reasonably priced. Service is just like a typical udipi restaurant, quick. Seating is ok not the best but nothing to complaint over the food and pricing. South indian dishes are highly recommended to be tried here.
I hv a special liking for this place. It's been more then 2yrs I have been having breakfast at this particular place n must say not a single time I hv left this place disappointed. They hv lots of varieties in breakfast lunch n dinner. However I hv yet jst tried almost all their breakfast delicacies n yet it has become my favorite place to visit. One restaurant at a prime location.
Had Masala Dosa & Vegetable Sandwich. Both were so tasty & delicious.
Owner & Staff is helpful & courteous.
Must visit for snacks & other food items. A recommended place for health conscious & foodies.
Visited Dadar at 8 in the morning and wanted to Have Breakfast. Google helped us with Udipi, which is nearby Dadar Station (east), serving you delicious South indian snacks.
In frame - Medu vada Sambar, Uthhapam and Puri aamras
Its a very pocket friendly place where service takes hardly 5 minutes (even less, believe me!! )
Snacks were filling and quite savoury.
See pictures for better experience.
The food was amazing and the staff was polite too! The ambience can be better. Must try the sweets they have to offer! I tried their yummilicious gulab jamun! Cheers. #foodie
If you are near dadar station and hungry, this place is the ultimate place to go to.
It is very reasonable in price and right infront of the railway station on east side.
The taste is amazing and the service is fast, good and clean.
We tried Idli , medu vada and sada dosa.
All 3 were decent. The ambience was normal. Nothing special. Just a simple South Indian retaurent. Decent food. Decent staff. Familes can go here for a south indian budget lunch
Udipi and very nice place to have a quick bite. It's manly for the fast food. The food here is great and delicious and very cheap it a small place but don't judge by it's appears because the food they served here is delicious and tasty and that's all it matter for me
This place is amazing. It offers good ambience and is very clean. They serve good quality South Indian food. Quality food at affordable price. Coming straight to the food, I generally order Medu Vada, Butter Idli and strong Filter Coffee which are pretty delicious. Perfect for breakfast and snacks.
This place is really amazing. You may not see this place asap when you come out of the dadar east station but yes just walk towards you see hotel rishis banner.
After a whole night journey, morning good breakfast is necessary. We ordered for a sheera upma, idli vada sambar and a puri bhaji. He said it will take some time to get puri bhaji till then we ordered for a coffee. It completly satisfied us.
Later,
Vada sambar was amazing as usual.
Sheera upma number one
Puri bhaji was also good.
If you want to eat or grab a bit after a long journey this is a right place.
I always get into this restaurant in a hurry. Mostly to catch a long journey train at Dadar station. Everytime I order food and ask to serve right now. There were occasions, service was fast enough for me to finish having food in less than 15 minutes - yes less than 15 minutes. I had ordered Veg pulav tasted 4 star.
Service was overall good.
Take away parcels are also good.
Udipi restaurant is situated opposite dadar east railways station.
They serve better quality of south indian food.
Here i am try idli fry and cheese mysore masala dhosa.
Idli fry was very cruncy taste and serve with chutney.
Cheese mysore masala taste was mouth watering and delicious.
I visit this restaurant for Misal paw...one of the famous misal paw in town and tasty too...not too much spicy and enough spicy to justify taste of misal...even they add potato in misal which adds different taste...must try for misal paw lovers
Restaurant is very small so don't expect the ambience... service is also adequate
Hotel Rishi is opposite to Dadar East Railway Station. Visited in the evening after office with my colleagues. We had Sada Dosa, Rava Sada Dosa, Dev Puri, Samosa and Pav Bhaji. All items was nice. This is the best place for Breakfast and quick snacks. Food was not much oily. Service was nice.
You are at Dadar Station & vegetarian, catching long journey train or want to have quick bite or lunch then udipi is the place to be. Serves authentic south Indian and Maharashtrian flavor food. Getting separate table might be an issue, need to wait for 10-15 mins, for shared tables waiter would guide you in 5 mins.
We had Dal khichdi, Rawa masala dosa and sabudana wada. Everything was perfect and we enjoyed our lunch to full.
You can also collect parcel for train journey, food is hygienic and tastes good.
We were on our way to Lalbaugcha Raja so we decided to have something before the darshan as one has to wait for hours in queue. Dropped in and this place looks like a typical udipi restaurant. The waiters are quite polite and attentive. Ordered missal , mysore sada and thali . Surprisingly the missal was finger licking tasty. Mysore sada's red chatni was on a sweeter side and the thali was good enough to suffice ones hunger. Its a good old udipi resturant without any whims and fancies.
Best South Indian food one can probably have when at Dadar railway station, Mumbai. Perfect for breakfast and not just south Indian you can have all kind of food. Good ambience and a big thumbs up for the cleanliness. I was very very hungry so I really liked it a lot😛 The place is really famous and worth for your money.👍
Vegetarian? Looking for some food near Dadar station to fuel your tummy? This is your saviour. I came to Dadar station to see off one of my friend. And then we had some food cravings so decided to eat and this was the first restaurant that came in our sight.
.
We ordered Mutter Paneer and Tandoori Roti. Mutter Paneer was exactly how I was expecting it to be. They put fair amount of paneer cubes in it and it was well balanced, didn't feel like any spice has been put extra from its recommended quantity not less. Paneer cubes were so yummy they held a good texture were fresh not the prolonged ones.
.
Ambience is quite nice with good seating arrangement and friendly staff.
.
If you're near Dadar station and feel like eating something this it a try!

Ambience: 4.5/5
Good food quality and taste. Very crowded place, in office lunch hours u should have share the table with another.
Quantity of dish enough for two people. Dessert and sweet are delicious.
Best place for South Indian dishes...taste is very good...cost is also moderate..must try tomato uttapam its mouth watering...proper udipi's taste we get there...
I've been visiting this place very frequently. It is just outside Dadar station. I have tried almost everything in their menu and trust they never failed to surprise me. Everything they serve tastes amazing, as per the service is concerned it is not up to the mark.
Average udipi restaurant. However service can be better, and the ones serving can at least carry a smile on their face while doing their job. Do try dosas though.
Its opposite of Dadar central station main gate. Had breakfast there. Nice and fresh puri bhaji, masala dosa. Sambar was a little sweeter which was too good for me. Staff was also good.
Bought a punjabi thali parcel for train, Food taste was good but not value for money. (Rs. 218/-) What most disappoints is packaging & undercooked green peas, overall wuality can be better. however its the best option available nearby station. Tried Wada pav & Gajar ka Halwa which were good.
A very good place near to Dadar station for a quick meal. It is constantly buzzing with people given its prime location but of course the food is worth it. Speciality being South Indian food, that's what you must try here. The thalipeeth and sabudana wada are also good. It's a very reasonable place for a quick filling.
A good place, nearby to dadar station, with good quality and taste food and loved there meal for train traveler's which is nicely packed, on my visit i had idli and medu wada with butermilk at end. Loved the taste and quality
Located near dadar station....decent looking restaurant ..we ordered for wada misal pav...which was yumm not too spicy..it tasted so good..one of the best misals i have had till date ..they serve the misal in a small bucket which looks very cute ...even light on the pocket ..a must try place...wada misal highly recommended
A good place near Dadar station. But its a veg restaurant. For veg people it is a decent place to go. Food is upto the mark. Staff and service is good. I am a nonveg lover and so didnt like it much. Veg people will surely like this. One can try once.
Got down on dadar station and spotted this place right outside the station. Serving all sort of south indian dishes and other delicacies as well. Ordered Mysore masala dosa❤❤, Sabudana wada and Pav bhaji. All tasted amazing 👍👍 Could surely give it a try if around Dadar👌
You can rely on this restaurant for good food if you happen to be near Dadar Station!!!!!
I like Mysore Sada Dosa!!!!!That's my favorite!!!!
This place is right in front of the railway station and hence always full. You will only find a table or two vacant. This place doesn't have washrooms(just in case!). We ordered dahi vada and medu vada. Both of them were delicious. Dahi vada was great. The staff is also very friendly. The service is quick and clean. Also they serve a lot of special sweets like Bombay halwa. It was very sweet, so if you are fond of very sweet food items you should definitely try it.
Ordered panner makhanwala , butter naan, and Sabudana wada, all were quite tasty . Close to Dadar east station , this place serves good food at reasonable rates on the go. The service lives upto the spirit of mumbai , it is quick.
Nice cosy place for some of the best Dosas in town. Heard about this from a college friend and went over for a Sunday brunch. Very affordable prices too
Famous restaurant in Dadar East. South Indian cuisine is speciality. Did not get time to try much dishes though wanted. Service and members are courteous.
Situated bang opposite Dadar Railway Station on the east side this restaurant is always crowded. One of the few restaurants to have an large mithai section from burfis, gajar halwa, basundi, Bengali sweets etc.
Another rarity these days is a them i and they have that too. The taste was good but the quantity of items in the thali was insufficient for even a moderate eater. Other items in snacks like uttappa and punjabi dishes like mushroom and green peas masala were fine too. Ambience is typical of an udipi restaurant and cleanliness can be rated quite high. A good stopover of you need a meal in that area.
The quality of food is average but that's okay, considering the rates. The joint remains mostly crowded. We ordered the Special Punjabi Thali that consisted of 1 starter, 2 vegetables, 1 daal, 2 pooris/ chapatis, pulao, raita, papad, sweet and chass. The amount of food is more than enough for one person. The Cheese Masala Dosa is also worth a try. One can also try other Maharashtrian dishes like Misal Paav and Tawa Pulao. The staff is well mannered and organised.
Went here for breakfast before work! :) had kolhapuri misal with 1 paav.... Usually whn u order misal it comes with 2 paav! And guess what 1 paav is good enough! The only thing is misal is too spicy (kolhapuri is ment to be spicy)! Nice..clean and crowded place! Thumbs up! :) 👍
Udipi!!! A good and well-known Restaurant located exactly opposite to Dadar central line Railway Station with lots of south Indian dishes, thali , snacks and delieous sweets.
Had been here to have delieous Vada usal pav. The taste was too good and amazing and yes how come a snacks will get over without any drinks. So I took coke along with my snack which make my evening snack more exciting.
Famous for south indian food typical Udipi taste
location is great and service is super fast Ac & Non Ac zone available
Ambiance is ok always rush there and some time you need to wait
Must try Doda and misal pao there
I ordered chole bature, buttermilk here. Bature was one of the best I ever had anywhere. Although chana masala was good but not excellent. Overall I had a satisfactory food here on a late afternoon. I will definitely come here again and try out some other dishes.Good experience overall.
A typical restaurant for some quick and delicious udipi snacks right outside Dadar station.
There are certain places which don't need an introduction and this is one of it.
Now talking about the ambiance it's just old school but nothing to complain because of its rates and it's quality. Divided into two sections (AC and Non Ac).
The best part is the quick service.
So after going through the reviews decided to hop on and order some dishes.
*Batata missal pav - This is basically a visual treat for anyone who loves missal paav. Served in small cute bucket which scored extra marks for sure. Quality was scrumptious for sure.
*Tomato omlette - This is a must recommended for sure. The best of its category.
Another item which was tried by my friend was Rajgira Puri bhaji but I didn find it that good but average enough .
A great outlet to try out if your into udipi snacks.
Show some love for this restaurant.
Happy eating.
Nice restaurant for quick bite. The service is fast and quality of food is decent. For travellers it is the best place one can opt for owning to its location. One must try these dishes- Misal Pav, Aaloo Paratha and paper Dosa. Besides other dishes are quite decent. Overall an average restaurant.
The best part of this place is its location . A shout away from bustling Dadar station (East).
Ideal place for everybody to grab breakfast, quick lunch & evening snack.
Quick service Udipi.

Located just outside Dadar station ,is a perfect eatery for a quick, healthy and tasty breakfast....they have awesome MAHARASHTRIAN AND SOUTH INDIAN breakfast items--have tried SAMOSA, IDLI SAMBHAR, BATATA WADA SAMBHAR, BATATA WADA MISAL, TOMATO OMELETTE .....so my rating is based on breakfast dishes only......mouth watering......misal had good spiciness (punch)......always search for reasons to be here.....menu mentions fasting food also .
FOOD-Super tasty and true to traditional taste.
SERVICE- attentive inspite of the rush
Whether it is breakfast, lunch or evening snacks Udipi is our go to place in office. Their sabudana wadas, onion uttapam, medu wadas are taste grabbers.
My father's favorite place for a good evening meal.
I would accompany him so many times. He would have a reserved seat whenever he needed, and the owner would remember him by name and know what Bhalla liked !
Go it's well worth it.
Located right opposite Dadar east station, It is a perfect place for quick breakfast before catching your train to work.
They serve good Maharashtrian & South Indian breakfast. Service is quick.
My personal favorite items are Batata vada sambhar, Medu vada, Upma, Sheera & Dosas.
They have a good variety of fasting items too including Rajgira puri bhaji, thalipeeth & sabudana vada.
There is also a small counter for vada pav, samosa etc & sweets. Must say their batata vada too good.
Udipi restaurant is located opposite to dadar stn.east therefore easy to locate. Udipi means good food hence they do serve good food. I always have lunch or snack whenever I m working in dadar or nearby. They serve good south Indian cuisine and filter coffee.
I am crazy about their fruit salad which tastes great.
Guys if you are in dadar east stn. And wanna have a great food do visit udipi.
Overall rating : 7/10
RECOMMENDED! ! ! !
Having my classes nearby this restaurant, I am a regular visitor here. Udipi is rightly famous for its South Indian food and the same is here. All types of dosas be it Sada Dosa, Cheese Sada, Masala Dosa are absolutely yummy. The sambhar and chatni have the exact south taste. The ambience is decent as well as the rates are reasonable. The quality standards are adhered to and service is quick. It's a go to place for casual snacking. The only miss out is the Missal I felt the gravy is too watery and not the authentic Missal as it should be. Overall a really good place for some south Indian snacking.
Good food, good quality ,fast service n tastes☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

A couple of days back, I was near Dadar station looking for some place to have my lunch! Tried the street food over there and was very disappointed and went to Udipi Restaurant, which is just opposite Dadar station! To my surpirse it was still packed at 330 in ghe afternoon, but we got our tables after waiting a couple of minutes. The place is just like any 'Udipi' restaurant would be, bit it has an additional counter for fastfood and sweets and I have heard they are really delicious!! The restaurant is bit small, but the service is prompt. The staff here is friendly and an healthy cleanliness is maintained. So we ( I and my Girlfriend) got overselved a Veg Handi Biryani and a Wada Misal Pav. The order came quite quickly despite of it being a rush hour. And its quality wasnt compromised. But the Wada Misal Pav just blew my mind and its the main reason im giving Udipi such a hood rating! I wanst execting wada usal can be presented such beautifully!!? Misal was served in a shining sliver small bucket type container. There was one a bit flat plate on which had the farsan and one big, hot wada in the centre. A small bowl having onions and 2 fresh pavs! It looked so, simple and elegant I loved it!! The Handi biryani was also good to taste , bt the only problem it had was it had lot of big chunks of vegetables which you then tend to leave. If the veggies are chooped you wouldnt mind eating them, infact you would love to eat them, but those big ugly chunks make it, ummm, ubeatble. Then to end it, i had decided i had to get myself some sweet and ordered a gulab jamun!! It was nice and warm with its texture being smooth and really soft! Gulab jamun was just Perfect!!
Udipi is a kind of place, which is the most reliable backup, like Udipi hai toh u wont need to worry about my food!! Loved its food , loved its service!! And the proximity to the station, along with great taste anf service is unbeatble!! Happy Burping!!
Been there many times, this is like one of the fastest service restaurant. People come eat and furrrrrr... Or rather staff makes it quick. Their food is really nice and tasty. You should try Missal Pav, Wada pav, Sabudana Wada (fasting) and varieties of dossas. Most of the time I've been there for Sabudana Wada, it's always out of stock... They serve good tea too :) will visit again
This dosa is located just opposite Dadar Railway station and is famous for its snacks. This place is always a bit crowded. We ordered Misal pav, cheese masala dosa, and medu vada. The Misal was hot, spicy and great to taste. The cheese dosa had less cheese. Both dosa and medu vada were good in taste but nothing to shout about. The restaurant is small and bit cramped up for space. The ambience is decent. Service was average.

Udipi is a place where you can go anytime and still find yummy food fresh and delicious.
I have been here dozens of time but still if I'm in dadar it's one of the most visited place.
The food as mentioned is always fresh and tasty.
The price is very economical and the service is good.

Visited only once, and they made sure that it would be exceptional.
Location accessible from vehicle as it is situated at circle.
Most of time it's crowded and you need to wait.
Service is good.
Food - The most important thing, is exceptional, that's why we need to wait.
I am not sure if this Udipi is the same one which has a branch in Sion Matunga, but this one is an old one for sure.. And the food was not bad at all. Along with South Indian, they have lot of choices of North Indian / bread items etc.
it's right next to dadar station, easy to locate.
One of the best restaurant in this area while searching for a pure vegetarian food.
The place is always crowded as its close to Dadar terminus.
Ample space for dining was available.
The food was good with a good quantity and reasonable rates.
There is a separate counter desserts where variety of sweets, desserts are available.
There is no provision for washroom.
There is no space for parking outside.
This pure veg restaurant is located in the Dadar area. Right across Dadar Central railway station.
Me and my husband had gone there for quick bite after long train journey. We ordered just one melting dosa with lassi and it was more than enough for both of us.
So surely I'll recommend it for quick bite and meal.
One of the most authentic spots in Dadar for pure veg delicacies.
Udipi Refreshments covers everything from South Indian to North Indian cuisine and each dish is so tasty!
We would highly recommend trying out their South Indian classics like the podi idli as well as some lesser tried items like Tomato Rice - which surprised us so pleasantly!
Don't forget to order a filter coffee (or two) because it's too good to miss.
The tempting cheese sandwich is a special unique one if you're a fan of cheese, so go get that for a hot cheesy sandwich in the monsoon season!
We also loved the classic Dadar-esque ambience and the accessibility from the station.
Would love to go to this place again for a nice breakfast on a Sunday morning or perhaps some mid-week evening snacks.
I recently visited this place with my family for dinner. The food taste is very tasty and delicious. The food I ordered was : Special bhaji which was totally worth for money. The Jammun Juice was so tasty. I really enjoyed my dinner over here.
A good pure vegetarian Udipi restaurant for having fast food, lunch/ dinner.
Very neat and clean. It's traditional style restaurant but very hygienic.
The South Indian food is what I have had here regularly and it's just too good.
The Indian desserts are also good.
I love thier Vada-Pav, one of my all time favourite at this place. They grill and give it to you if asked. (Checkout my photos)
Definitely a place I'll recommend for quick snacks, or a full meal.

A great place to visit with friends and family. The atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant is nice and wonderful. Upon entering, we were greeted by staff. The atmosphere is very fragrant
The staff there always wear masks so this was my favorite point. Everything here is so good that it will just blow your mind! Tried many dishes, but each dish gave me an amazing experience. The staff is very welcoming, caring and really good at suggestions. They know what each dish is and offer some great tips. The staff service is amazing and the food served is delicious. So for starter we had a spring roll which were very crispy and very superb in taste and for mains we had a garlic butter naan with udipi spcl sabzi and this combo had a perfect punabi taste. This place is always crowded even on the week days because of its taste ,hygiene and also the rates are normal here.
It's located opposite Dadar TT Railway Station .Great Ambience with Old photos of Mumbai Theme in Wall and Proper Seating arrangement.I ordered Punjabi Thali. quantity was huge .Taste was Good and little spicy.Paneer Crispy was Crunchy and Tasty.Staff was friendly and Treated very well.
This restaurant is located just opposite Dadar East railway station. They have a large variety of vegetarian food available with them. Especially the south Indian dosa, vada, sambar, exectra. Also they have Vada paav, misal paav, chaat items are available. A variety of sweets and juices are also available there. The restaurant is a little bit crowded, because it is near the railway station.
South Indian options are fresh n crispy
Loved the mysore masala dosa, filter coffee, mendu vada.
Bengali sweets were best and fresh.
Seats were a bit small so plan accordingly for a bigger group.
Remember:
The snacks outside (manchurian bhaji, cutting tea , filter coffee...)are not served inside as restaurant serves makes them seperately in their kitchen at higher costs.
Here I ate Rasmalai sweet and veg biryani they are tasty and good but cost is little bit high. Food and cleanliness are good.
In this restaurant all types sweets available and pure vegetarian food.
