Been ordering from Daffodil ever since I've been in powai nearly a decade ago. They've moved from Eden street and I'm not sure if what I now see on zomato is the same. So just tried ordering and could tell from the food that it was the same joint.
There are several options in their menu but I prefer them for their Chinese preparations. Quantity is reasonable for the price and most dishes serve two people. They have one of the most consistently prepared chicken lollipops compared to others delivering Chinese. Definitely recommended for their oriental fare
My family has been ordering delicious high quality Chinese and Punjabi dishes from here since the 90s... The pricing is excellent NC the food here is authentic and worth every penny !!! I highly recommend it if you're in the Powai area !!

Their food preparation and delivery is the fastest in the entire Powai region without any doubt. Must try their best Afghani Malai Kebab and the Hyderabadi Dum Biryani. Price they have for the food truly justifies its quantity and of course the quality as well.
The food is very good and delicious, perfect amount of flavour and spice. Wouldn't recommend this place to sit and eat cause it's a quite small operating kitchen and place. But I love the food
Walking on the road in search for hot sarson ka saag and makke di roti along with chicken seekh kebabs & some chinese... This place comes across as a cheap chinese/ punjabi joint but what a find !
Good for takeaways and also for sit-out meal if eating across the road is your scene :)
Food is good... decent North Indian Food that can be ordered in... service is quite good... though not completely convinced on the hygiene of the place
Best paneer chilli ever. Also really good Chinese. Been our option for comfort food since a decade ! This place has been around for so long , and it's always maintained it's quality and quantity. Recommended for ordering in on a lazy Sunday or when you have friends over :)

Tried their chicken chatpata and Banjara and must say that chatpata is worth trying . Slightly on the spicier side but amazing taste .
Delivery was prompt but had to remind them once .

Chinese is average . Must highlight did some calculation mistake in taking my money back , went back and they gave me the balance , no questions asked , which was commendable going by the amount of mismatch on my part .
Authentic punjabi dishes. Been a customer since years now and haven't had a complaint yet. They do take a little time to pick up the call but eventually they do. Fast delivery and a very polite owner. They aim for excellent food quality and fast delivery for people who have short breaks during their job hours (as said by the owner). I agree.

I ordered for 20 people for a party at my place and the quality of food was excellent! I give 4 not 5 because the quality for tandoori rotis could have been better! But over all the tandoori chicken, chicken biryani was great!
One of the best restaurants serving regular Indian food. Amazing fish malai times, tandoori chicken, tangdi kebab, tadka daal. Interesting aloo gobi and other veg dishes.

Staying with a friend in Hiranandani last week meant we were ordering in food a lot of nights,mostly north Indian grub which bored us soon so we got some Indian Chinese on last day from Daffodil.
Ordered in Veg Hakka Noodles, American Chopsuey, Paneer spring rolls, Paneer in Hunan Sauce and Chilli Garlic Rice. My friend says she has tasted paratha from here too and it was nice, except that Shiv Sagar and Paratha World give better north Indian food at much cheaper price. Stick to Chinese from Daffodil :)
Everything we tasted was good,laden with all sorts of sauces and spices that Indianized chinese food is laden with! Paneer in Hunan Sauce had excess salt which my friend said is a one off thing. Everything else had proper salt/sugar/spice ratio so I am inclined to believe her. Spring Rolls and Garlic Rice were delicious!
I have had food delivered from here scores of times in the last one year, and it's my favourite place when I am hungry. Their delivery is almost always quick. I love their manchow soup and biryani. The portions are decent, but they have jacked their prices up significantly in the past few months.
I would order every week if they start accepting sodexo or ticket restaurant vouchers.
Excellent food for home delivery. Recommend the Chinese, tandoori chicken and black dal, biryani and rotis. Try the sweet corn chicken soup.
Affordable indo-chinese grub delivered at your doorstep. Nice and spicy, just the way I like it. They can be a little fussy with minimum order amounts at times, but they consistently satisfy your hunger.
Have been eating from this place since 1996. Superb Chinese and Indian. The burnt chilly chicken is fantastic so is the butter chicken. One of the best places to order in from. Jeetu bhai is doing a brilliant job.
Chinese food is awesome. Veg stew rice, spring rolls and burnt garlic chilli rice have been our favourite. Mughlai dishes also are good. Mix veg kadhai is good option to try in Mughlai

Try their punjabi specialities and chicken lollipop. The cost is also pretty reasonable and worth. The best part is that the delivery is within 10-15min. Try their chicken or paneer kadhai which tastes best with nan! Yummm....
Amazing food for take away or home delivery. Great taste and friendly staff too. One of my favorite joints for punjabi food in the vicinity.
When I had moved to powai a year ago , my colleague (a powai resident) had suggested that I must try the tandoori chicken at daffodil . And so I did . I made my friends from other parts of Mumbai try it too and all of us have really liked it (as opposed to contrasting reviews here) . I've never really got myself to sitting at this teeny joint for a meal (and I don't think I ever will) . It is a very takeaway-homedelivery place .

I'm not sure if things have changed in the past 3 months odd post reviewing the earlier posts, but i had to share my experience with Daffodil.
I have been frequenting this place for many years now. It was also shut down for a couple of months by its owners. I happened to visit them in Oct'13 on two occasions. On both occasions, I found the chicken tandoori to be very good. Likewise for the chicken curry that we ordered.
Yes, the price was on the higher side but knowing other places in Powai, I guess its fine.
Its a small place. Decent food for the price it charges.

If people say I wonder how a restaurant has survived? I guess its survived for its quality!
Its been 20 years that daffodil stands for its name and quality... Its difficult to please everyone and anybody around, but I feel that if we are serving the quality that's the reason why people like this joint and prefer eating here.... Never the less.. DAFFODIL was always the coolest eating joint to be at and will remain the same ALWAYS!
** As it is rightly said that even 5 stars cannot fulfill an individuals expectation to the utmost, there are people who look at the prices at a 5 star and, move out from there with a note of dissatisfaction.. And that is the time where long lived joints like DAFFODIL ensure to suit your taste and pockets! **

I am a regular customer of Daffodil restaurant the food at the restaurant is excellent. I like Chinese dishes the most even the Punjabi food is also very good. My favorite dishes at the Daffodil restaurant are burnt chilly prawns, tandoori chicken, pahadi kababs, hot & sour chicken soups, fish fired rice etc
Finger licking food.... specially the Punjabi food its simply best here, chicken tandoori is simply awesome one must try it at least once.
Delivery too is fast!! Also the best part is that the food and its aroma gives the feeling of punjabi dhaba
I am not just giving a rating of 5, but Daffodil deserves it.

Me and my family ate there after years....delicious yummy Chicken American Chowpsy, and some lovely starters..... we all sat in d car and relished the food so much!!!

Daffodil is not a bad place to eat for. Its offers a good variety of food in powai from chinese to mughlai to tandoori e.t.c. But mainly I liked its chicken kohlapuri, tandoori chicken a lot. Havent tried veg. over their but would certainly do so. Just one problem it should have sitting area outside the restraunt so that people who want to eat over their can also have the food. But on the other side their home delivery service is quite fast and you get the food on the said time.
tandori chicken is awesome and reminded me of chandigarh .After such a long time tasted really gud authentic punjabi food comparable to what we get in punjab
