Amazing place to hangout with friend and family. Good for lunch/dinner. Delivery is good too. Good Packaging and timely delivery.
I like the simple pulav with chole, manchurian rice, paneer crispy here
An amazing place for lunch or dinner. Located at kalina, this place is a convenient one for office goers and also for kalina university students. We went here in our office lunch hour and had paneer masala and butter naan which was just yummm. We cannot do without sweets so we ordered a caramel custard and gulab jamun which was very mouthwatering and soft. The staff was also very helpful and courteous and the service is also really quick. If you are near kalina in the lunch or dinner hour and finding a good palce to end your hunger, I recommend you this restaurant situated just opposite side of Dani Compund.
Sunday morning after church we had breakfast after attending Church in Nityanand..We had the usual stuff.Idli, vada with sambhar, sandwiches, tea, sweet lassi etc ..The place is clean and had family crowd...The service wasbquick and helpful
Short review: Nityanand is a pocket friendly restaurant in the heart of commercial hub in kalina
Food ordered: Veg pulav: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I had just ordered veg pulav here and it was amazing for the price, the kevda essence was the magic here, even the vegetable were properly cut and you could get in every bite
Worth: Definitely worth visiting the place
Overall: A pocket friendly place
A random place to hangout with friends. Tried Caramel custard and Gulab Jamun both the desserts were amazing, gulab jamun was so fresh and soft that i could not resist eating them without even speaking a word :-p
Nityanand is one of the oldest & famous pure vegetarian restaurant in Kalina located on busy CST Road. It’s pretty spacious and mostly packed both in AC & Non-AC Section during lunch time. Menu is elaborate with north Indian, Chinese, south Indian & chaat item options. This is nearest option from my office for quick lunch and yes the service is super-fast and staff is helpful. We keep going here again and again I have never been disappointed by their food. I love their Pav Bhaji, Rava Masala Dosa, Paneer Chilly, Manchurian with Fried Rice & Dal Khichdi.
Nice veg restaurant in nearby santa cruz kalina area. If you are veg person then you definitely try this restaurant. I visited two or three time and east some of the dishes. Maysor masala dosa and masala pav was tasty. I personally disappointed about masala pav as we want it whole pav and masala stuffed inside. But we got it a crushed pav within masala. Still it tastes good.
Overall Experience is good. Looking forward to visit often over there.
Decent place at a prime location on CST Road, Kalina. On weekdays, this placed is packed at lunch time due to the various offices surrounding it; so for a family outing, it is best to go on a Sunday. Pure veg menu with decent prices. I enjoyed the thali; it is not extravagant or overly rich, but still ensures that your tummy is full at the end
A small veggie joint on CST kalina road. Serves decent south indian and north indian food. Prompt service, friendly staff and clean place. Has AC as well as outside seating
Very spacious Pure Veg restaurant on the main road in Kalina. It has both AC and Non-AC areas. Very crowded even during weekday afternoons. So please reach early to find a good seat. However, the service was very quick even after the rush. Appreciate it !!
Coming to food : 1 plate of any dish is enough for 3 adults.
DAL TADKA : Just Awesome !! The flavour was amazing and prepared worh less spices as per our request.
ALOO GOBHI : This comes with thick and rich gravy. If you have the appetite, go for it.
TAWA CHAPATI : Looked machine made but a good alternative to oily breads.
STEAMED RICE : This is thick long grain rice. A bit heavy but very well steamed. Goes very well with Dal Tadka.
Overall a very economical restaurant. For 1 plate of each of the above and 6 chapatis, it cost us only Rs. 472 for 3 people. 🙂
This place is one of my favourite place to have dinner with family!
The staff here is polite and service is quick.
This place serves delicious south indian and north indian food.
This place is located near mumbai University
The place has two sections;AC and NON-AC.
We tried: Pav bhaji:- the taste was so delicious.bhaji was properly smashed all the spices were blended well.
Veg Pizza: it was yumm. Freshly cooked!
North India food is also good.must try(recommended)
Paper dosa: it is served with two chutneys and 2 sambhar. Thin and crispy tastes amazing.
This place is perfect vegetarian family restaurant.
The also serve pastries.

People who serve are really soft spoken humble and upfront.
A good veg restaurant and very pocket friendly.
The value for money is 5/5.
I order food from here many times and am never disappointed.
The ambience is not fancy, but quite clean and decent. Service is also good.
What I have the most often :- cheese pav bhaji !!
Recently ordered dal khichdi and bhindi fry/aloo gobhi masala and it felt like ghar ka khaana. :)
Pure Veg Family restaurant with good seating and service.
The quantity of the food is good.
Parking space is okay.
Taste of food is good.
Overall is an average everyday restaurant.
Had ordered Thali, Mushroom and paneer chilly. Option of Puri or chapati and rice or pulav comes with the thali. Enjoy!
The BEST PAV BHAJI I have ever had. Also, wholesome yummymeals meals.
Personal favourites are the South Indian dishes.
Also, the place is economically charged. The decor is sweet and warm. (:
Definitely recommend this place.

Ambience and service are good. We tried south Indian . taste was good overall. Coconut chutney can be better. If not coconut increase some daal in the chutney :)
As today me and my friends were there nearby, so we decided to go for lunch at 3pm. We were 7 of them, including me.
Manager was well to us as we were going to order only 3 Veg Subzi, he advice us to take 4 Veg Subzi as it will not enough for 7 people's.
Then after everyone ate ice cream, manager given us a complementary desert of 2 plate of Caramel Custard , and 5 plate of Hot Gulab Jamuun each peice. Had a nice experience there.
We went for first time there.
The food is great especially Palak cheese kofta and paneer tikka masala. The service is also great as the staff is very polite and welcoming.
Tasty food with economical prices....
I went to pickup my family from Mumbai. I saw Nityanand and decided to have dinner there. We sat in the outside section of the restaurant and it looks pretty spacious compare to AC section, luckily the evening was not so humid. We ordered Indian food like paneer laziz, mutter mushroom, dal etc. As it is an economical restaurant I did not expect any wow presentation of the food, but taste was amazing. Food was served by Mr. Laxmi prasad, his service was up to the mark and he understood our need in a go. Pricing was efficiently done by the restaurant team. Over all it is worth place to go for dinner or lunch.
Good place for filling up. Right on the main CST road.
Dal khichadi is no doubt the most will made item. Although at hundred rupees it could definitely use a quantity upgrade.
Thali is good, and so is pav bhaji.
The North Indian veg dishes are so so. Not bad. And at around 100-130 range definitely fare better than most other such places.
Chinese(!) items are pathetic though. Skip those and you'll be ok.
Dosas and idli are good too.
Overall a value for money if you stick to simple basic food items.
And they do delivery too in nearby places for no extra charge.
Best restaurant in my locality best food and i loved this place from my birth. Recently got makeover and I loved that. #bestrestaurant #greatfood
I don't know what's the grouse that Kalina restaurants have with us Vakola people, but a good number simply refuse to deliver here. It's not really that far, folks. But that's what got us to visit Nityanand regularly versus just ordering in. And the change in this place has been super over the last four years. We visited again recently after a year's gap and were pleasantly surprised to see the change in the decor. The place looks swanky and a far cry from what it used to be. It took us a minute to confirm that it was the same nityanand!!
The better thing? Their food tastes just as lovely as we remembered it (albeit a tad heavier on the pocket). We ordered for dal tadka, roti, paneer bhurjee, chaas, veg Hakka noodles (do overlook the cuisine mismatch), boondi raita, and pav bhaji. The dal tadka and paneer bhurjee were delicious - here, these dishes do not taste generic. Pav bhaji wasn't too bad either. The Hakka noodles were a bit meh and too oily and the boondi raita was strictly average. Chaas and roti were like any other similar-ish place.
All in all, it was a very decent meal. The portions easily sufficed two people (except pav bhaji). The service was no nonsense but efficient. Made me wonder what kept us from this place for a year!
Honestly I don't remember what we had ordered..but everything that we ordered turned out to be very tasty..I found it a little expensive but i really don't mind paying a little extra for good food! You must give it a try! Awesome food!
Best for Corporate people to have a fix lunch consist of Puri/Roti, Sabzi, Dal, Dahi bhalla, papad, sweet, pulav .
Recently the place has been renovated including AC Dining Hall.
Best food joints to drop in at CST kalina road opp Dani Corporate park.
#PaidByMe :)
Open restaurant..!!!
This restaurent is located just near to mumbai university.
We tried paneer pakoda and poori.
The food was average but nice ambience basically its a south indian restaurent.
Nityanand recently got a makeover and it looks really attractive, I really had to confirm twice that it's the same place.
I've always had takeaway meals from and recently had the chance to visit it. This vegetarian only restaurant surely has some of the most delicious food on their menu. I would like to specifically mention their 'Special Pav Bhaji' because it truly was special! Apart from all the cheese it also had cashew, pistachio and raisins! (Check pictures) The bhindi fry, veg tokri, mushroom masala was equally impressive!
If you're looking for good veg food in Kalina do visit Nityanand.

It's now coming to the end of 2016, and if by now you have never been on the website Urban Dictionary, I deplore you as a Luddite and primitive savage with little interest in lexical progress.
A few recent definitions from the site were:
1) "blogger": a person with enough time or narcissism to document every tedious bit of minutia filling their uneventful lives
2) "restaurant": a place where you work after you have given up on your dreams.
3) "foodie": A person who has no actual interests or hobbies.
Anyway, back to Nityanand, I was searching for the best way to describe this rather large Pure Veg joint in Kalina, right across from my Victorian Workhouse (the office). "Solid" seems to be the most apt.
"Solid" something you might say in confirmation, or congratulations to someone who either did something tight, or when you are on the same wavelength.
Everyone needs a place like Nityanand. The food is dependable and the service is friendly. To be quite frank it's rather reasonable, old sport (Definition: "A Phrase everyone uses after watching/reading the american story of The Great Gatsby, in which Di Caprio dies in the water and doesn't end with the girl. Again")
A dish of bhindi masala was fresh and well cooked. Whilst trying to avoid pedantry, it is has to be noted that the oil was not exactly the most pleasant, and had a strange bright yellow glow to it. The dry Soya Masala, with onions sweated down till they were almost caramelised, was a good dish and a bit different from the usual sabji. However, it seems Soya is nearly as rare as rocking horse excrement at Nityanand; on several occasions, only once were they able to rustle me up a plate of this textured vegetable protein.
The chai is slicker than your average (thank you Craig David...), but they do charge 10 INR extra for NOT having sugar. If I had my "Freakeconomics" cap on I might be inclined to discuss the merits of third degree price discrimination in the Pigouvian sense. As a health conscious, none sugar ingesting millennial, I'm likely to have a higher reservation price than a normal sugar-eating homo sapien. Get it?
Two satisfactory veg dishes and a cuppa down and I've barely breached 200 INR! I'll just keep on humming those Ashford and Simpson lyrics "solid, Solid as a rock.."
Best,

Fast good tasty food for a good price that fits ur pocket.....dosa and medu vada was great will surely visit again..parking can be a problem but overall good experience
Nityananad restaurant Is a proper small udupi restaurant which is been here for years. Pure vegetarian restaurant know and visited by a lot of people around here. Idli I will say is OK here. But medu wada and sada dose was too good so was the sambar.. Service good ambience is decent
This place haven't changed much over the years. Its a pure veg restaurant. Food is average but hygienic. You may find a lot of office going people here. There is no other restaurant in nearby area specially for pure veg. you can try kalina university or Hotel Ravi on Cst Road.
Nityanand!!! A good and decent restaurant at Kalina Santa Cruz which use to be only the restaurant near to my old residence my friends use to give their birthday parties here famous for snacks like Pav bhaji idli dosa taste quality quantity ambience is too good!!
Good food, as i am new to Mumbai, i was bit conscious about the taste and quality of food but this place didn't disappoint me , chappati they server here is quite thin everything else tasted good and it's affordable too
Ate here for many years when my office was just across the road.
Sitting and decor is very basic, but the food is decent. They churn out good 'Cheese Pav Bhaji'
This quaint little place is right across the road from my office. Whenever me and my colleagues are feeling hungry and bored of office cafeteria food, we eat here.
Recommend the misal pav, and the Mysore dosa.
A modern version of any typical Udupi joint. Value for money pricing and reasonable flavours. The South Indian fare is passable and their thaali makes for an economical wholesome meal. Try and ignore the hygiene when there; better still order delivery.
A simple place calls for simple food to be ordered. Do not go looking for anything out of the way of the delicious South Indian fare on the menu.. The mendu vadas are my favourite compared to many other places. Try the filter coffee after a light meal. Reasonable plAce for a nice breakfast/ eve time snack
This food outlet is nice for vegitarians. They prepare less oily and delicious food.
Its not very expensive also. However only two things are pathetic
1. Sitting arrangement at restaurant
2. Time they take for delivering food.
Rest all is good.
Visited for the second time and the service plus food was still great.
We went for dinner and tried out multiple dishes like Pav Bhaji, Veg Cutlet and Sev Puri instead of a regular meal. It was all delicious and worth the price. Pav were a little too buttery but good for once in a while experience.
Sitting arrangement is simple but well maintained. I loved the fact that it is pure vegetarian. Will come again some day.

I have been going to this restaurant since i was a kid and I have nothing but compliments to give everytime. The food is really delicious. The inside of the restaurant is pretty clean too. The staff over there are good too. The price of the food is pretty reasonable. It offers takeout as well as home delivery. If looking for a good restaurant in that area, you should really go there, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.💜
Visited 2nd time this resturant and must say really good taste, south Indian and Chinese is what i have tried till now and have really liked the taste, also jain menu is served as well. Good to go alone aur Along with family friends, very much spacious for big groups as well. Not much crowded but a good to go resturant also not that costly while going for an individual. Worth trying food here. Pleasent environment and good Atmosphere. Clean and neat place. Also A/c and non A/c both seating available. Good and cooperative staff, even food was served quickly. Will suggest people visiting near Mumbai University or working near by offices can visit here once for some quick bites or proper lunch / dinner. ❤️
I had visited this restaurant with my siblings to try out veg food for lunch. Had ordered fried rice, dosa and ice creams. The ambience is spacious and there was no crowd. Loved the veg food and ice cream too was delicious.
Each and every dish is too good
Palak kitchadi is a die for
I recommend it to one and all
Pav bhaji is another dish worth eating
I have been going to this restaurant since childhood, it's always been a great experience, the staff is well behaved, the food is good in quality as well as quantity and the price is reasonable too...if in the area should always visit here and try this restaurant and I must say you won't be disappointed
Paper Masala Dosa the best. Vada may seem overpriced but the taste is superb. Do try the Shezwan Masal Dosa here with the special chutney they provide. The place had a really good seating arrangements for groups. Hospitality is very nice. There is no parking space in particular but a small place by the hotel is open. It's right on the way from the University so very convenient.
Food taste is amazing, must try the vegetarian food here, I like the taste of food very much. Amazing restaurant.
Excellent service levels with good quality food at above average Price . The food was quickly served . The restaurent also has a good parking facility outside their premises which made it convenient for me to park & have the food here . I had Dal khichdi with aloo jeera & Papad
Thank you Nityanand for your good service levels 🙏 😀✅
Service is good but ambiance is average. The club sandwich is fantastic here.
We the people of Vishwa Yuva Foundation gets a great help from hotel Nityanand Sharing a contribution like giving food for the street people We are very thankful of the hotel owner .
Its the only 1 restaurant situated at this place.. Its good but not that great...
The food was good and the place was clean and comfortable. Furthermore the staff there were extremely helpful when we were trying to decide what we wanted to have. They even told us that we are ordering more than we could eat because the serving size was large and we were just two people. This goes to show that they put customer satisfaction way ahead of profit.
Our server was kind and patient and explained us the items in the menu well. We had Kasmiri pulav and Amritsari Mushroom along with fresh lime soda and “Ganga Jamuna” a delightful mix of orange and mosambi juices. We loved each and every bite of the food. I will highly recommend this place.
I have taken Golden Rice. Its unique and soooo much delicious❤️🤞😋😋😋
One of the oldest Restaurant ... staff is polite quick service , food is delicious n hygiene is taken care off... will greatly recommend to visit...
