I ordered fish and chips. I would have given 3.5 stars not 4. The quantity was not enough. The overall taste was good. But the fish wasn't Juicer from inside. It Maybe the fish wasn't fresh. The sauce was good as well. Overall I have had better. Food Quality can be slightly improved.

Cool place for some asian cuisine, ambience is good but seating is very congested if you get chairs, like if you stretch your hand then it will snap out a chicken lollipop from the mouth of stranger sitting on the next table.
This place celebrated its 50th year in 2019. It's a small cozy restaurant with lovely ambience. They have memorable photographs to take you down the memory lane. The food is really good. We had the chicken manchow soup, honey chicken, roast meat chilly, chicken friend rice and sizzling brownie. Everything was amazing, except the sizzling brownie. Could do better with the placement of the ice cream scoop. A must visit.

The ambience at Wanton House is cosy with low lighting. Love their Chinese! Their chicken garlic fried rice, wantons, lollipops, chicken hot garlic are some of my favourites. Their pork fried rice is a must have. Totally #lipsmacking #delicious. Their staff is courteous and serve with a smile.

Food what should i say i will always recommend all my friends to go there. The quantity of food is also good. Taste is just amazing. They serve amazing Fried Wantons and not only that hot and sour soup, chilly chicken, chicken lollipop, chicken salt and pepper and the star dish chicken 99 its a different type of dish made in three different sauces and they all taste different from each other its worth trying.

Its one of the oldest restaurants in bandra. The ambiance was cozy and extremely peaceful. The service was not that great and the food seemed very expensive for the quality. They served indian basa in chinese dishes which doesnt really go well. The sizzlers were average. For the ambiance the place was good..but food was average.

Dating back to as far as 1950,nestled away in a quite knook of the 'Queen of Suburbs'..... Wanton House on Hill Road, Bandra,serves some mouthwatering, lip-smacking Chinese cuisine. Although the name suggests an oriental theme the decor is surprisingly rustic and gives you a distinct greeco-roman feel. I found the portions of the food servings large and extremely generous.The staff is extremely courteous, polite and friendly. The restaurant certainly is good value for money.We decided to skip the soup and dived in straight for the starters. We ordered Chicken Wantons (it would be sacrilege if we didn't try wantons in Wanton House 😊) and Crispy fried Chicken. Both dishes were heavenly and super yummy.The wantons are served with a delectable sweet garlic sauce and the crispy chicken had a wonderful tangy flavour with melt in the mouth chicken jullians fried to a crispy brown and tossed in a choice of vegetables. The main course included Singapore Rice, Vegetable Fried Rice, Ginger Garlic Gravy. The gravy was cooked just right which complemented the rice wonderfully. We were too stuffed for dessert but the staff highly recommended Honey fried noodles with ice-cream and Sizzling brownie.

A very small place behind Bus stop on Hill Road . The sitting is congested . They serve really good Chinese food . It's a very old outlet , it started in 1960's I guess . They even have the pictures of the opening on a wall.Nice place to visit .

This place is as old as I can remember! My grand-aunt used to own the bungalow bang opposite (where Kobe Sizzlers is today) and I have vivid memories of looking across the road and seeing Wanton House’s signboard!
This place has stood the test of time...many food joints have come and gone all over Bandra but Wanton House still exists and is loved by Bandraite loyalists!
I have many ex-pat friends who return to Mumbai after years and demand to be taken to Yacht’s (a watering hole located close by - another epic establishment!) and then to Wanton House!
Now let’s down to the actual stuff...The Food!!! 😉
Ok...recommended among the Chinese starters are the Salt and Pepper Paneer and Crispy corn water chestnut in the vegetarian options. In the non-veg options, we’d recommend the Shredded crispy chicken, Prawn toast (which is unique) and the Seafood platter.
They have also recently started serving lobsters and crabs priced as per size.
All the soups are very recommendable so choose any that catches your fancy.
Hmmm...the main course! Now this is tricky since there are the perennial favourites since the good old days and newer additions!
Let’s go for the old favourites first...definitely try the Manchurian chicken, sweet and sour chicken, triple schezwan fried rice, pork fried rice, chicken Hakka noodles and American chopsuey!
Amongst my favourites today are the Salt and pepper chicken, Honey chicken, Roast Meat chilly, Roast lamb in oyster sauce, Prawns in hot garlic sauce and Fish steak in green sauce.
Everything in the Thai section is recommended too!
Sadly...the sizzlers are a disappointment and we wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!
All said and done...Wanton House is a pocket friendly place with great Chinese and a Thai food, that stays open much later than most restaurants around this area!

Wanted to try a spicy soup, so we were recommended TomYumChi Soup. The best spicy soup with some generous amount of veggies & chicken pieces. Spicy food lovers will love this one !!!
Next we tried, Choice of Fried Wonton, that basically had plain boiled Chicken in it, which was a dissapointing. However the wonton were super crispy & the sauce accompanying it was delicious.
Mains we tried, Three Treasure Fried Rice also know as Triple Schezwan Rice. The quantity was quite alot & it had a unique schezwan sauce that was on a sweeter side.
Overall a very good experience.

My go to place for proper tasty desi Chinese time after time. You can’t go wrong with the chicken chilly starter, chicken salt n pepper appetiser or either of the above in a prawn preparation. All the soups are fantastic here my favourite being the chicken ton yum (spicy in the truest sense). The chicken fried rice here is better than many s fine dine restaurants. In mains chicken Hunan, schezwan, chilly any gravy is nice depending on each ones particular taste palate. Most food here is on the spicier side pls specify if you want it toned down, I prefer it spicy personally.
Seating is very small and not very spacious hence one star less. The chicken stir fry in case One wants to avoid carbs but still want something tasty is to die for and healthier than rice etc. Food 99% of the times is great but once or twice in the past few years I had some complaints about the chicken but they immediately took care of it which was no issue in restaurant only if you ask for delivery could that be an issue. But it was only once or twice so Not gonna highlight it much.
Junaid the manager and Raju another one are great in their service and attention. All in all superb yum food for a very decent pricing.
My friend and me found this place when we were walking on that street in search of a good place to eat and we smelt something great which made us stop and look around so we checked in to this place.
We had yumilicious chicken crispy and an average chicken schezwan fried rice.
Nice place with good ambience and reasonable prices on their menu. Bonus point to their food's quantity.

Wanton House is a Hidden Gem!
This restaurant has a very good ambience and delicious food.
Staff was courteous and recommended us to try their signature Chicken Pot Rice.
We ordered Chicken Pot Rice which was filling for 2 people; it had steaming hot delicious gravy with chicken with stirred fried veggies in hot rice.
This was the most delicious Chinese Food we have ever had, and it was just for ₹350.
We recommend this place highly and it’s a must go place for people in large groups as you will be able to try out more of their delicious offerings.

Good place to have Chinese food with nice ambience. We had veg manchow soup and veg burnt garlic noodles, both dishes were delicious and the quantity was very good. The sitting arrangement is a bit compact but location wise it's good nearby the Bandstand.

I like Chinese spicy and not sweet at all. But the cuisine over here is pan Asian so even if you ask them to make it spicy they'll make it but the spiciness would not be for your tongue instead it would be internal spice that will make you feel warm after some point of time. The taste will be slightly sweet so beware. In short they use Or make different Schezwan.
Had dinner with family at this restaurant. Service was excellent and food was amazing. Definitely worth a try when in Bandra. The prices are good and food has value for money. The manager was really nice and gave us a brief history of the restaurant. We lived in the area and this was a go to place with our parents. Nothing has changed. We loved the ambience. It was not too crowded when we went late evening so it was perfect - had time to chat with the family, had excellent service and good food. A perfect combination.

As the name suggests, my favorite dish here is the fried wontons. They come with this delicious, mouth watering sauce. Some other great dishes are the Seafood fried rice, 99 Chicken Sizzler, Chicken Pot Noodles, Talumein Soup, Chicken Platter, Chicken Lollipops and Cantonese Noodles
They have a large variety in each section of the menu. It's quite a family kind of place. The owner is our very good friend. He makes sure to come check on the food and his guests.
While paying your bill, don't forget to try out the traditional tibetian singing bowl kind of thing that you need to practice to get it right!

This palce is near to St.Andrews church and Naturals.its walkable from Mount Mary church like around 1.5 Km. It's a quiet and cool ambience which offers some amazing food.Chicken Chrispy for starters is the best.Also,the triple noodles was aslo yumm.the quantity is commendable. All I wanted to eat was some good buff in Chinese and the wanton house is always my spot in Bandra.
It was my 1st time as a kid with my family and ever since then this place has always been on my list .

For starters, the chicken lollipops abd chicken 65 are a must try. Chicken 65 has a chinese take on an Indian version of deep fried chicken pieces.
For soups, you can try the sweet corn chicken soup or the manchow soup. Chicken fried rice is well prepared too. You can ask the server for gravy recommendations or the chef's special.

It is wheelchair friendly but the place is not too big so one has to put the wheelchair in the corner side of the table well I went in with help and sat on the chair and enjoyed my food ....because for its food it has most authentic food and I hear that it is a 50 years old restaurant which is a great thing so u can imagine the taste ....it is not exactly a Chinese Chinese taste but very much to the taste of Indians so you can call it Indian Chinese taste :) but it is to die for.... I tried there Manchow chicken soup which is really very yummy ....there chilli chicken is very famous dish, don't forget to try their egg fried rice, the chicken fried wontons which are served in a beautiful trolley kind of a thing I know they are fried but Worth trying and yes you must try the Sizzlers that they serve in two kind of sauces especially ....one is the green sauce and the other is the schezwan sauce... I also hear that this is the first and only Chinese restaurant that serves Sizzlers in Chinese food ....they also have home delivery at least to the neighbouring areas, they offer good Kitty meals for a good price... there is an outside sitting area too so in the winter season I am sure one would love to sit outside.... I got a chance to get into the kitchen which is so clean and hygienic ...there is a small nice clean washroom also... The host of the place really takes care and guides you to taste the best dishes of you if he is around

Here's my honest review about Wanton House, Hill Road. It's a cozy place next to St. Andrew's. Not much of a place that drags your attention because it's a small place. The interior is quite beautiful and the lighting is dim. There are seats outside too but I don't think they were available when I went. It was air-conditioned, the temperature was just perfect. The menu was good, looked visually pleasing and it also had instructions on how to use chopsticks. However, we weren't provided any chopsticks when we ordered. They said they didn't have any. Ah and yes, we wanted dumplings too but sadly those weren't available either. There were a lot of options to choose from but much lesser than what's on their Zomato. I didn't use their washroom but they do have it for customers despite the fact that it's already not huge of a place. It took a little while for the food to arrive and it was warm. Not exactly hot and not exactly just 'warm'. The quantity was pretty good. You usually don't get a good quantity of food in such a price range at restaurants that are in busy places of the cities so I'd give it a thumbs up. I didn't really see their kitchen but I read one of the reviews of a person who did and they said that it's hygienic. I'm not a fan of fish tho I have it when served and enjoy it but I was really excited to try the fish fried rice they had. And I wasn't disappointed. It was very delicious. We even ordered chicken wings. I thought it'd be dry but it was served in spicy garlic sauce which tasted amazing. I can't really speak for every dish but whatever we had seemed more of like Desi Chinese because authentic Chinese food doesn't have a strong flavour to it but trust me, it was delicious. The staff are just doing their job but this one person, who I assume is the head, was kind of sweet, maintaining good relations with customers. It's the little things like saying thank you or asking if we liked the food, etc. that actually make a difference. It seems like a good place to go to and I hope you find my review helpful. Here's a little suggestion that if you don't know about a dish, please ask the staff about it. That's nothing embarrassing. Not just here, but anywhere at all. And restaurants have their own styles of cooking so your order won't necessarily look like what you see on the internet or eat somewhere else. For example, I said that we ordered chicken wings but they were served in sauce. It's hard to understand what will be served just by reading the title. Whatever you'll receive there will be delicious but some people have preferences, so yeah, you can ask them about your order freely. It's a good place overall and to me, I feel like winter nights with friends or loved ones would be amazing there. Just how everything looks inside to the lighting and the restaurant being so close to a church, the vibes will be much more beautiful during winter so definitely give it a visit this Christmas.
