We went on a weekday during the afternoon time. The staff greeted us with a smile and was courteous enough to ask whether we'd wish to go for the hookah, which we apparently didn't. They have altogether a separate glass section for hookah which is great.
Coming to ambience, it is spacious. And well co-ordinated. It is not at all cluttered unlike a few places i've been to.
We had some beers and pav bhaji fondue which was delicious. I would totally recommend that. Apart from that nachos were good too.

We had get together at this place....so we had specifically prefix menu...food served everything was awesome only issue was everything serve was bit sweet....Indian breads were also well cooked and well served....amazing ambience....hukka served....family friendly place....they have specific room if u wish to do get together for 25 to 30 people....good music and great place to be....

I visited By The Drive at a friend's recommendation. The food out here is exceptional. Paneer was very soft and very flavorful. Also the vegetable gravies are flavorful and delicious. Plenty of food and drink options and also a lot of Jain food options. The staff here is very polite. Recommend a visit.
Did my Sunday lunch over here. The place wasn't that packed in the noon, there was a crowd on the hookah side though. Was hosted by Mac, who was very courteous with us. Helped a lot with the menu. What we ordered :
* MOCKTAILS
• Watermelon Mint Cooler (4/5) : This one was very good in taste. You could sense the minty flavour. Very refreshing start to your meal!
• Mandarin Mojito (3/4) : This was more of Sweet Lime based. Mildly sweet.
* STARTERS
• Pav Bhaji Fondue (3/5) : Was good. Cubes of bread to be dipped into the Bhaji.
• Nachos Grande (5/5): This was nicely cheesy. Topped with salsa, guacamole & sour cream. A must try when you visit this place!
* MAINS
• Veg Mongolian Rice (5/5): This was a gravy which had good amount of exotic veggies served with burnt garlic rice. Very filling!

It’s a little difficult to locate the place, but once you do, you enter into a nice veggie paradise. :)
I love the ambience of this place, it’s not too big, but they have put a lot of thought in the decor and the different sitting areas.
While the service was nothing great, the chefs in the kitchen covered for it. My favourite has been the pav bhajhi cheese fondue 😍. The one on one food makes this a go to dinner place for vegetarians like me. I found this place extremely cost effective.

Great place, great ambience, food is good and staff also good at service, have visited this place couple of times and till now not have been dissapointed. Punjabi is good and quantity is also enough. Moreover the music is also superb. Over all environment is great.

Spacious and friendly staff. Music was very loud but as they are friendly they cooperate with us. Different section were also made if anyone interested for throughing party 🎉🍻. Food and mocktails both we enjoyed. Best part was jain was also taste good. Prices are reasonable. They do not have alcohol permit so those family who wish too take their children can take along.
Let's start talking about By the drive, located at the junction of Opera house and above the Hustle bar. Very spacious and lovely ambience to look out for. Great taste in the food served with good portion size. Must try Watermelon Mint cooler for a summer refreshing drink. They also serve delicious pizza (must try Mediterranean pizza). In main course, you should give try for Chaand savera combined with any roti (personal fav kulcha). Great music amd good sound with spinning by DJ Omkar in house.
Altogether definitely a place worth to try and enjoy.

By The Drive, in Chowpatty is a multi-cuisine restaurant, offers something for everyone. It is very spacious place, has two sections for seating based on your mood and requirement. The decorde is eclectic, but comfortable, though it can be loud during peak hours.
The place is warm and welcoming, with an attentive staff who are incredibly kind and accommodating. The thing that really gets through to everyone is the extensive menu and specials that translate to excellent food. I had been there with a bunch of my friends.

Finding this Restaurant is quite a challenge cause it’s located on the fourth floor of one of the old building in Chowpati. The place is quite big and ambiance is unique and quirky. Night like Valentine’s Day the restaurant was quite busy. This effect the service to be bit slow. Talking about food this is a complete Vegan restaurant and bar is not opened yet. We ordered Manchurian soups to start with which was quite delicious, In mocktails Mango Passion was quite tasty. Nachos Grande was good in taste and quantity, Cheese Garlic Naan was delicious, Fried Wontons were good. Mongolian Rice was amazing. Overall good food. Staff was friendly and courteous. The food was awesome and tasty.. We tried multiple cruisines like Chinese, Indian, Italian and Continental!! The menu is also priced resonably.. We went at Christmas Eve and the hotel was lively with Christmas decorations.. Overall a nice experience!!
What not to say about this place👌👌Exceptional mindblowing classy taste mouth watering food(Paneer chilly dry- naam lete hi paani aa gaya)😊 Good to have this big restaurant in South Mumbai. By the drive at Chowpatty has an amazing view of the beach.Its located on the top floor of a building and is very beautiful.
There are a variety of dishes and drinks we have ordered here :
1) Mexican Tortilla and Red Beans Soup:
The soup had beans and it tasted okay,not that great. 2.5/5
2) Nachos Grande &Nachos Cheese:
Nachos Grande has gaucamole,sour cream and salsa.It tasted good but had alot of leaves.
Nachos with cheese sauce also tasted delicious.
4.5/5 for both the dishes.
3) Jalapeno sun-dried tomato Fondue:
This tasted so good that we ordered extra bread.It was spicy and cheesy.

4)Pimento Pizza:
Pizza tasted spicy as it had bell peppers, onions and jalapenos drizzled with Tabasco.The pizzas we're square in shape and the sauce was amazing. 5/5
5) Veg Mongolian :
This had a gravy of Mongolian sauce along with chilli pepper fried rice.The quantity was very filling and was really worth it. 4/5
6)Bombay house Paneer Tikka:
This is one of the best dishes as paneer is very soft and it was spicy and yummy. 4/5

By The Drive situated in Opera House, stands by its name, you can see the entire Marine Drive from up there and the view is really serene.
We ordered Basil Cottage Cheese and Burnt Garlic Rice and Pink Sauce Penne Pasta.
Basil Cottage Cheese and Burnt Garlic Rice: The rice was spicy and nice while the gravy stayed true to its Chinese origins, overall it was pretty good.
Pink Sauce Penne Pasta: The pasta was a bit on the red sauce side but was really good taste wise.
We had a really good experience and loved the ambience of the place with its huge bar and great view facing restaurant.
The location is fantastic with a sea view. Tough to find at the first go without any signboards or so. The table that we were sitting was shaking but however the manager was ready to shift us to another table. The interior and music was a point over average but kept u busy for a couple of hours.
Coming to the food. The menu is only vegetarian with limited options but good quality to eat.
We had ordered for a bruschetta. It was very tasty with the right kind of toppings and a crispy baked bread.
The crispy fried wontons are a must try. The sauce was tasty and the wontons were crispy with the right filling.
The veg Mongolian was also very good. The garlic Naan tasted very good as well.
Lastly the Mandarin Mojito mocktail is a must try.
All in all a good experience and a must visit for vegetarian lovers.
We went on Saturday evening . It is nice simple ambient family hotel on 3 rd floor but lift was there . There is also a small party hall specially for marwadi & gujrati crowd . Food was excellent . It has bar also .
So it's a nice restaurant near chowpatty located in a building....the restaurant is nicely done with good space between tables....they have a separate private section....coming to the food....the food here is really good....crispy lotus stem is my personal favourite....kung pao rice...Mongolian rice are delicious as well....however I will not recommend the mix lentil salad....the lentils were not cooked well n lacked taste in every way....the staff here is courteous....service was quick too....so overall I had a great experience....!
Ordered the Turkish platter- quite disappointing, the were only 3 of the 4 mentioned spreads. Hummus was ok, the were so so but the quantity was very less and pita was dry and hard/ chewy.
Lasagna was well done, loved it.
Genovese pasta was pretty good and the sauce was subtle and smooth.
Mojito was great as well.
The staff was polite but the overall service could improve, also had lot of trouble finding the place, there are no prominent signs

Extremely Happy with the Jain food here. The food has always delighted. The ambience is also good. Considering the location and ambience pricing is very decent. The cons are they have started serving drinks so it might be an issue for Jain's and other communities. They also serve hookha so it is no more a family place as earlier they did not use to serve hookha and drinks. The ambience is also very apt for younger generation. And yes they do not serve mouth freshener and add 10% service charge without its mention on menu card or any other place easily visible to me.
The location to the place is confusing! It was on the top floor of a old commercial building! The interiors and decor was good! We tried their Swiss fondue and biryani! Both dishes were good to taste! Would try more next time! Staff and service both were good!

By The Drive is located on the 4th floor and inside of the two big doors, you can see a grandd Restro. There's a Bar with All types of drinks and visiting here once in a month is budget friendly. They offer the best quality Sheesha/Hookah with fast services. There's a large number of varieties in food items. From Indian to Italian Chinese etc. The taste here is very good 'La Jawab' and one can come here according to their budget.
All Rules are followed strictly here and even proper social distancing is been maintained.
And On Special Occasions, The Restro is Themed.

This is a new restaurant that has recently opened up in Chowpatty Mumbai. It is location on the 4th floor of Patel Chambers and is very well located. To enter you need to take the back enterance like a normal resident would and go up to the 4th floor. They have basically bought the entire house on the 4th floor and converted it into a restaurant. It's got really good decor and lighting. It has a HUGE space. Many tables. It's got screens for sporting events. Its got a bar (which wasn't functional yet) and its got some good views too. It's pure vegetarian and the food is good. It's like what you'd expect it to be. But then again not out of the world. Decently priced and worth a visit if you ask me!
The place has a nice ambience, music, various options for food as well hard drinks. Sheesha is also availble here. Recommend 3 paan or white rose in sheesha. Chole bhature in food.
