This place is very small and simple. But the taste of food is delicious. You’ll get the best food here. It is not a fancy restaurant. They serve the best butter chicken. This place is worth to visit. One of the best place to have non vegetarian food at pocket friendly prices.
The place is essentially a delivery joint with a very limited humble set-up for dining in. We order quite regularly from here. This place is one of the few we can rely on for food north-Indian food. The one dish I would high recommend is its tandoori chicken, absolutely smashing. Other than that, its main course is quite good and most of the dishes that we order (butter chicken, palak paneer, kadhai paneer etc.) are good on the palette. A good option for ordering in when you know you are looking for tasty north Indian food. Their Chinese is decent too though.
Been ordering from this place since I was like 4. I've had butter chicken and butter naan from almost a 100 restaurants across Mumbai but nothing beats Madhuban's (Yes, it's the name of the restaurant). Whenever I order, all I have to say is B/2, or my surname and the order reaches to me super fast. Been there many times as well, the staff is nice and the ambience is decent. But, the only problem is the absence of an AC. But, to be honest, if you're looking around for places to full you entirely in under ₹500. This is the place to go!
The hotel is quite cool with friendly people around!
Do try the butter chicken with naan and also tandoori , lollypop.. are lit.. finger licking!! :)
This place at prabhadevi near Siddhivinayak was chanced upon wen I was frantically searching for some non veg food. Has the old world look, clean, well lit and best of all has great food and service. Wasnt expecting much but was surprised by the extensive menu. Could see the kitchen partly and liked the way they went about things in a calm, organized way and IT WAS CLEAN! Ordered peshawari chicken, fried surmai and two tandoori rotis... Well marinated, cooked to perfection and well garnished - the place can give many a restaurant a run for their money! For 420 bucks this place is a gem!

💥 At first glance the place might look a little dull, but trust me it's worth it.💥 🥘 We ordered dal tadka, paneer tikka masala and breads.

🥘 Dal tadka was served in separate bowls. It was steaming hot and was filled upto the brim. Dal tadka was actually the dal tadka I was looking for, it was thick, it wasn't watery like you find in many places and more importantly it had tadka in it. •

🥗 Paneer tikka masala was also nice, it had a more subtle flavor to it. Tangy but not too spicy.
Breads were served hot and fresh. Even the breads tasted better.

The restro is decent enough just one issue is that it’s without AC ..
But the thing that take my heart is the delicious food served .. the manager is super sweet in talking and suggests the best dishes to try ...

This is one of my favourite place in Prabhadevi. It's not an ac restaurant but a normal restaurant. The service is amazing and the food is good and not expensive. We tried fish fingers and chicken spring roll and both were very good. We tried the mutton seekh kebab which we didn't like at all.. then for the main course we tried chicken fried rice chicken in hot garlic sauce and it was really very good. Overall a good place to have dinner. I prefer going here only during winters since it gets very hot as they don't have AC
Order chicken lazze and butter chicken.. it was nice... Delivery on time ☺️....Manager was nice, he suggested us the dishes properly.. Overall good experience.......
So many varieties of deliciously prepared kebabs such as nagpuri, banjara, multani... all worth trying. The veg dishes are good too. Delivery is quick and professional. This is a definite fave.
A small restaurant with just a normal seating arrangement no fancy stuff in ambience but what wins your heart is the food they serve ...
If you're craving to have non- veg dishes and you are near prabhadevi and you don't mind seating in a non ac restaurant than this is the place for you..

I have been staying close to this place on many of my recent trips to Mumbai, and got my dinner from Ashok many times. I have to say the food here is excellent. Especially the non-veg items and starters. The space is less. Feel the ambience could get a makeover as well. Otherwise good value for money.
Visited ashok restaurant randomly last Friday. Quite decent place with fine seating arrangements . tasted tandi kebab ,tikka and murg kadai . taste of chicken was ok and it was well blended in spice ,pieces are easliy chewable .Service was just ok and lil bit slow .Price are fine and fits under your pocket
Food is delicious. especially veg items. Nice ambience. Waiters well mannered. Must visit at least once.I eat there thrice a week. No AC though

Delicious! Do try Peshawari Chicken, comes with tomato gravy with chunks of boneless pieces & some slices of egg on the top. They do have different prices for Takeaway & Dine in where takeaway is little expensive but comes with more quantity. Win-Win for both the parties :)
Hands down the best tandoori chicken I have had in recent times. If u look at the ambience it is not tht inviting I agree but for good food ambience can be overlooked not tht its dirty o anything but very basic. Now the best n not so good part there are two owners one who takes the order who is very sweet and one who serves water, food and even takes the plates once done eating now the best part is he is so quick and the not so good part is tht being a owner I felt a bit awkward tht he himself was serving us. I dunno how many ppl see this. Since I have only eaten tandoori here I wanted to give only 3 as the ambience is avoidable but for this man an extraa star!

For long I wondered how I should rate this joint. If I compare this with 4 / 5 * uber restaurants, it would be unfair when I rate this on that basis. So I decided to form my opinion only on few grounds that matter the most: 1) warmth and politeness of the restaurateur. This joint exceeds your expectations. "Anna" as I like to call this gentlemanly fellow who picks up the phone (yes, I only order from this place) embodies politeness and eagerness to associate with you as a customer in the pursuit to serve you well. He listens patiently while you ask him about different menu options and offers even good advice as to what to choose from a good variety. 2) Delivery time: I might have ordered at least 10-15 times in last 3-4 months that I learnt about this place; and I haven't been disappointed even once. 3) Taste: pick the cuisine and you will smack your lips, may it be kebabs (nagpuri is one of my favourites), biryanis, boneless chicken varieties, fried rice - just anything and it competes with some of the best in the business. Kudos to the chef who makes these dishes so finger licking. 4) (some friends specifically asked me to rate it on the basis of) Hygiene: at least I didn't fall sick even once or had that bad stomach feelings ever, and hence being a true Mumbaiite "who cares" for other parameters of so called hygiene. I just live this one. All and all, you have to try it to believe it.

I found out about this restaurant only recently as no one knows much about it. Situated next to Kamat restaurant is Ashok Restaurant a good choice for non vegetarians given the lack of options in the area. The ambience is not that great but the taste and quantity is pretty good. The prices seem to be on the higher side. But it definitely deserves at least one visit. Try Butter chicken and you won't be disappointed.

First time was a little disappointed with Dal khichdi Although it was super yummy pricing is something that the owner needs to work on... ₹170 for dal khichdi and after discount ₹150 is a bit on the higher side!!!
You can rework on the pricing!!!

Ashok is one of my favourite restaurants to order from and to dine at in Prabhadevi. The owner is very courteous and prompt. This time I ordered a half tandoori chicken. I didn't have to repeat my order or address, and the dish was delivered in about 15-20 minutes; piping hot!
The chicken was carefully packed in silver foil and then a cardboard box. There was a packet full of a seasoned tomato, cabbage and onion salad.
The chicken was properly marinated and the flavour had seeped in properly. The chicken was soft in every bite. Not singed, or overly
Cooked, just right.

Ashok restaurant serves one of the best butter chicken I have ever eaten in mumbai. Although it's hard to find. And the quality of the food at ashok restaurant is a 100% percent.
Amazing food... M not a veggy person but i loved the paneer makhanwala n paneer chilly.. Very tasty.. Would love to go there again... Quantity is alose decent enough for 1 person.
Best butter chicken. In fact best non-veg and veg food ever for home delivery. You can certainly drop by for a meal but the hotel ambience isn't top notch or classy. It's a simple restaurant that serves out of the world butter chicken for a very decent price. Its usually my go to place on a Saturday afternoon and I order Butter Chicken and Garlic naan. Very famous among the locals of Dadar, Prabhadevi and the kids of IHM
Absolutely in love with the Jinga kadai. Nice Punjabi style gravy that goes well with everything. The quantity of prawns in the gravy was also quite good. The service here is excellent. The only thing that this place lacks is a good ambience.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Veg Biryani!!!! Vegiterians you should surely order Biryani here it is the best in this area!! Great taste! Not aware of the non veg they serve but have heard of it that it is equally awesome!! Efficient home delivery is the best option. Ops!! Also order veg Lehsooni and paneer tikka masala!!

Must go place.. I use to visit this place every time i visited dadar. Good for pocket too. Must order butter garlic naan and butter chicken (very delicious). A small place to sit without anything much.
I guess by the standard of the dishes (especially Butter chicken), this is a good place. However, I was not happy with the delivery time after order, which took more than an hour. The naans were already cold, but were edible. I only wonder how amazing it would have been had it all come on time.
Ashok restaurant which was earlier madhuban restaurant serves the best butter chicken. The menu is just like any other ordinary restaurant but the dishes served have an amazing taste. Chicken tikka, chicken patiala are a must try for non veggys. The vegetarian pulav is one to die for. The restaurant is a tiny place with an okayish ambience. But the food makes you forget and you naturally swirl in the taste. Easy on pocket and yummy on tummy.

Mumbai's fav street food. And it doesn't get any better then this. Mostly acknowledged as Kirti Colg Vada Pav. You really have to struggle to get it(huge queues). The stall is always mobbed. Rs. 20 for one Vada pav and its really worth it. Try it minus the chutnies tastes better( personal opinion).
This place looks like mess(kitchen) but the food is very tasty. we had chicken peshawari, chicken lahori. non veg was delicious. service is proper.
Been there only once ..though we keep ordering food from here to my office. Its a very small place .. But the food is really very tasty. The daal khichdi and palak khichdi are all time fav for healthy meals at office. The baby corn masala sabji is also really yummy .. The food has really good spice n flavour ..
This is a small place. And dont go there for Ambiance. But the food is amazing. In Nonveg Try Chk Patiala and in veg Go for Lasuni. Nice preparations and quantity is ok for 2 persons. The crowd consists of people from nearby offices. Its a nice place to have a quick but tasty office lunch.

Now, the beauty of gems is, they need to be discovered. I have been traveling around Prabhadevi for all my life and had missed this amazing restaurant, probably because it looks ordinary. All thanks to our friend, who insisted that we should dine out here once. I will be forever grateful for this suggestion of hers. Don't get deceived by the looks of the restaurant, it's small and modest, but Boy Oh Boy, the food is absolutely Mind-blowing. I have had the BESTEST BUTTER CHICKEN (Must Try) and I caaaaann't wait to get my hands on it again, ahh, my mouth is watering while I type this, and it doesn't end here, the service was so impeccable, it was as if we were dinning at our relatives house. A huge shout out to all the foodies out there, do try this amazing joint and thank me later :)

Great place for quality food. Chinese and Indian food. The ambience is ok but food is awesome. Try the chicken Sayo, triple chicken rice with gravy and butter chicken are my personal favourite. Happy eating.

Amazing Food.
The staff of Erstwhile Madhuvan restaurant moved here when that closed down. They have maintained the same taste. Dont go by the looks, this place has some good food with great taste.
