Been here a few times.Good south Indian food, quick service.Combos are nice.
Overall
Food 4/5 ......
Ambience 3/5.......
Service 4/5.........
The chicken 65 starter was succulent ,spicy & properly cooked.
The chicken pieces were bigger and would have prefered smaller ones.
The staff were cordial and attentive behaviourwise.
The service received was good.
Had ordered Hyderabadi veg biryani and the quantity was sufficient enough to fill stomach that was empty for more than 12 hours😀.The biryani was neatly cooked and the paneer tasted good. Plus you get gulab jamun and chaas, a piece each.
This is included in the dish itself and not complimentary 😅. Good for a satisfying lunch .
Well if I ever book tickets through BookMyShow and I usually take coupons of Kuttu Kurri for dosa offer of buy one dosa and get sada dosa free. It’s a no frill place located in food court of Viviana Mall and food is really nice, they could work little on the service so that the food doesn’t take time.
The best dish this stall sells is malabar and chettinad curry. Their malabar curry dosa combo is enough to serve 2 and comes with 3 thick pieces of dosas. See pictures for more details. I haven’t tried anything else but these 2 dishes are must try if you want to have anything at their outlet.
I was searching for something nice to eat in Viviana's food court and I saw biryani plate in Kuttu Kurri while passing by and absolutely loved it. I ordered chicken boneless biryani and it was good. Spices were in proper proportion. Loved it. It had gulab jamun, raita and buttermilk with it. Gulab jamun was the best.
Food(5/5)
It’s at the second floor of vivihana at the food court, best chicken biryani with perfectly cooked 🍖 meat, they really have a nice spread to satisfy your hunger pangs.. neer dosa is a must try; what else do I say maximum of 10min from the time you order😋👍🏻
I tried paneer biryani at this outlet. The taste and quantity both are worth the cost. And considering the general price of a biryani this is very reasonable. One biryani is enough to satiate two people. Its full of soft and well cooked paneer pieces. Worth trying.
Im a regular at this place for their amazing kuttu paratha. Though it is a slight deviation from the original, it still keeps me wanna come back for more.
Had the chicken chettinad with Uppaam and malabari parathas.
Taste was good.
I have had Uppaams in a different style but this too was not bad.
Completely satisfied with the taste of the food
I don't know why this place has such a poor rating.
My experience at Kuttu Kurri has always been good.
You can try the malabari chicken with malabari parantha. Really authentic taste and served hot.
The chicken is tender and the gravy has a lovely flavour.
You can also get it delivered via Swiggy.
Hope to visit this place again :)
It's strange how such amazing restaurant outlet has such low ratings on Zomato. Visited kittu kurri for the first time ever today. At first I thought it must be an average south Indian food stall. I am having toothache from few days so I just wanted to eat Idli as it is a soft dish. We went there and placed an order for one chicken dum biryani and one plate of mini idli. We didn't expect much from them. But...
1. The order got ready within 10 minutes.
2. I had first bite of mini Idli with sambar & chutney, and damn; I was stunned! Never thought a normal Idli and sambar could be so delicious.
3. Chicken dum biryani had excellent flavors in it. It wasn't too spicy like we usually get in any other restaurants. The chicken pieces were nicely boiled so I didn't struggle while chewing.
I don't know about any other dishes over here but these two dishes definitely deserves a try. Go for it! :)
A reasonably decent South indian joint at Vivianna Mall.
A couple of weeks back i dropped in at the mall and ordered the Achari masala dosa and the Pav bhaji chesse uttappa.
The service was quick and we were happy with the decent size of the portion, and the dishes were fresh and hot.
Enjoyed the Pav bhaji Uttappa thoroughly, but when we tried the Achari masala dosa we could only taste the Achar(pickle) and a lot of salt.
I immediately complained and was pleasantly surprised that they made a fresh new dosa for us. The new dosa was definitely better but still not what we were expecting.
Overall experience was above average.
Would definitely want to try more of their dishes.
A random visit at viviana malls food court made us stop here. We werent looking for full blown meals and jst glanced thru the menu wich offers a range of dosas, curries and biryanis all south indian styled! After much deliberation we settled for a chicken chettinadu dosa. We got 3 portions of plain soft dosas served with a chicken curry. One dip of the dosa in the curry and we were on firrre! The curry was spicy and bursting with flavors, the chicken too was fresh and well cooked. Certainly a great experience prompting us to try more next time...
Kuttu Kurri/Simply South
A reasonably good South Indian food-brand which I heard of the first time during my visit to Inorbit Mall. This brand has just two outlets - Inorbit and Viviana. For curiosity sake, we tried out a mouthwatering pakora platter which we saw someone else in the crowd having. With the Mumbai rains pretty 'torrential', pakoras were a decent invite.
I loved the green-chilly pakoras or else they serve an assortment of pakoras in this platter which cost 119 bucks. The green chutney is wow which is served with the platter. Otherwise, this is one food-brand which has innovative food in its kitty and the next time I visit this place or at Inorbit, I am definitely going to try-out their Non-Veg Dosa which seems to be delicious and innovative.
I am waiting for the day when keema idlis and mutton uttapams will revolutionize the South Indian food-market. That will also happen some day with the way young-brains of food-restaurant owners/founders are working !
I was so hungry so i Decided to have biryani at Kuttu Kurri basically the it took 10 min for making it , taste was good, chicken pieces were there , raita was good , pickle was too tasty , overall a good shop , little bit expensive but taste was good !
A decent South Indian joint in the food court of Viviana mall. One good thing of this outlet is thay service is very fast so need need to wait for long to get your food.
The Kuttu Kurri Uttapam Platter is really huge with 6 types of Uttapas. The Mysore Masala Dosa is also amazing. The one thing I liked about this place is they dont do misery when it comes to giving chutneys and sambars.
If you feel like binging into a Dosa do visit this place

A small south Indian joint located in the food court of one of the most crowded malls in Thane . This place offers freshly brewed nilgiri tea and madras coffee for the chair and coffee o holics its an absolute addiction. The planner gassi and need dosa combo is something you would die for.Never have I ever had a planner delicacy like this before. The quantity that they serve is absolute value for money.Every south Indian food lover should visit this place!
Its again a nice south indian joint in the food court. The chettinad chicken and neer dosa was very good. The range of dosa are also good. I specially liked their filter coffee it was nice and the way filter coffee should be.
Dahi vada was a bit extra sweet for my taste and the chettinad biryani was good too.
I was at Viviana yesterday for a movie. My friend and I stopped for a quick dinner. And I ended up taking a kothu paratha(mutton). I must admit that I didn't get any hint of mutton from the dish. But it was definitely tasty. Perfect mix of sautéed onions, chillies, meat, and of course parottaas.
Found it to be on the expensive side - Rs.210 was a little too much to ask for, I believe. Nonetheless, I haven't any other joint serving a kothu paratha and that sort of justifies it.
Kuttu Kurri is a simple example of real authentic South Indian Cuisines. It has always been a delight having appam with Chicken Chettinad and Prawns Curry.
Other Biryani Preparations such as did not amaze me much.
But it is recommended for comfort foods
Really good place..good food, good service.. its one of my fav place..
Surprised to see this is the first ever review written for Kuttu Kurri, a well deserving southern eatery!
I happened to be in the Viviana Mall on the Christmas evening. As we struggled to find decent sea-food serving places, we came across this joint. A comprehensive menu with almost every South Indian dish (Keralite, Tamil) and even Goan dishes took us by surprise. Kerala spicy fish curry, Moili, Goan curry, and many more options were there in the non veg category ( fish, crab, chicken, mutton). The list of staples was quite long including Neer dosa and Appam! Some mouth watering southern desserts awaited us after dinner. Besides, they serve an array of South Indian snacks such as Idli (myriad kinds - fried, powdered, Kanchipuram, Thoran and what not!), Dosa, Uttapam, and the list goes on... Enough options for a vegetarian feast too!
We ordered for Kerala fish curry, the spicy red gravy with Rawas, Appam, steamed rice and Payasam. Along were served steaming Sambar and Rassam.
Every morsel of food was fresh, appetizing and tasty. Generous pieces of fish in the curry and the soft crispness of the Appam satisfied us beyond expectation! The portions were enough for 2 people.
Kuttu Kurri is one of the very few eateries in a mall's food court, which serves such delectable Southern sea-food cuisine. Highly recommended!
If you love south indian then this place is surely for you..
Taste is good, but it is not authentic. Layered parathas are not actually layered, they are more like normal parathas.
Great coffee...you get authentic south Indian treat here
Masala Dosa @99 was best here. It is good in quantity with quality.
They do a Chennai filter coffee which is delicious!
Masala dosa is there best dish
Appams can't be missed with chicken curry
Different types cuisines under one roof
Nice South Indian food outlet
