The "spicy guava" flavor really hits the spot. Creamy yet light, sweet and tangy. Hope to see something in salted caramel soon
My favourite has to be lemon grass ice cream ..must try !!
I ordered 3 flavours but my rating is solely based on their Speculoos ice cream! It was so creamy and super delicious. The flavour was spot on and the chunks of the biscuit were the best part. The other flavours I got were the orange ice cream and the watermelon sorbet. While I really liked the taste and texture of the orange one I did not love the watermelon sorbet as it was a little too sweet for me. The speculoos ice cream was priced a little more than the others but their ingredient quality is also very high so it is well worth it! Will definitely be ordering again. (Didn’t have time to take pictures of the speculoos tub as it was devoured within minutes)
Super ice cream - I have tried 3 flavours so far -
Hazelnut Chocolate - Just an unusual and amazing one! Seems good quality and very different from the regular store bought ice creams.
Sitaphal - seemed like a regular sitapahal . Nothing special.
Thai red Rubies - We just couldn't stop eating this one. Recommended for anyone who likes that the Thai ruby in coconut milk dessert at Thai Pavilion.
The overall ice cream quality seems good. Its rich, creamy and for some reason tastes less sugary than normal ice cream. I hope they maintain this and do not drop the quality.
The most awesome Chocolate Hazelnut Ice-cream I’ve ever had! I ordered one tub and since then have been ordering it way too much! The taste is perfect and the taste of hazelnut is the best part of it. Love it 😊
Each and every flavour is unique. The biscuit, pan, Thai ruby, sabza are my favourite. These are the best home made ice creams I have ever had. So delicious it will make you want to finish the tub, speaking from experience ;-)
Nothing makes you happier than good icecream- that too on a lazy sunday morning in the hot and humid month of May! This place definitely did not fail to do that!
I heard of this place through a friend and placed an order for their very popular paan chocolate ice cream. It came pretty quickly, like within 30 mins in a plastic, very easy to open jar! I tried it, and realized it was the best paan ice cream I have ever had before. I can still remember their distinct and very rich flavour. The texture is pretty thick and good (different than the regular Vadilal ice cream) and it really reminded me of the ice cream that my mom prepared at home - which definitely gives a little extra! The small chunks of chocolate and paan leaves enhances the taste tremendously.
I was overjoyed after eating this, and finished the entire 600ml box in 2-3 sittings.
I loved it and would try their other flavors very soon- probably the rose one! I however have one concern- these are available only in a single big SKU, which makes it difficult to order one flavour or consume it entirely by yourself. It would be a lot nicer if it came in smaller scoops. I also feel that the ice cream is priced a bit on the higher side which may refrain people from ordering it!
Disclaimer- I ordered this icecream for my team of 15 ppl, and unfortunately it did not appeal to their taste buds. Generally its tough to bring a group of such smart & assertive ppl to consensus, but this ice cream managed to do so! Everyone unanimously said that the flavor is too strong etc etc. So would suggest you try the ice cream at home, and pick safer options like Naturals for a group! :D
If there's anything that makes us the happiest, it's icecream for sure! @binashomemadeicecream has learnt this secret and spoilt us rotten! We tried the chocolate hazelnut icecream which is a classic ice cream combination, it is a bitter chocolate ice cream with roasted hazelnuts . The paan chocochips is the best paan icecreams we have ever tried, it aces the paan flavours, and it's not filled with essences which is a win-win! The Thai Red Rubies was pleasant surprise, with super yummy coconut flavours and a special surprise! We are definitely ordering Bina's homemade icecream again and recommend you to do so too!
Why does this place not have a higher rating???
Last week my niece and nephew came down from Agra. And they loved the paan, spicy guava and mango so much that they packed it in dry ice and carried it back with them!!
Just ordered the lemongrass ice cream. SO good. Refreshing, not overpoweringly sweet. The packaging is great. It's secure and easy to open. The consistency is not overly creamy, rather a perfect amalgamation of Ice cream and Gelato. I will definitely be ordering ice cream form here again at 12 pm.
The all time favourite is rose sabja! Just perfect to the flavours and fast and easy delivery system makes it simpler to order.. Always a treat !!!
Phenomenal ice cream. I ordered a tub of the paan chocolate chip and was extremely happy with the speed of delivery, packaging and most importantly- flavour!
The ice cream was creamy and loaded with fixings. A generous amount of chocolate chips and paan flavoring definitely gave it a premium feel.
I'm a fan!
Tried the orange and spicy guava ice creams through home delivery. The orange was great, I wish the spicy guava came with the chilli separately to sprinkle over the top. The chilli was premixed and I found it too spicy! :/
My favourite desserts are Frozen Yoghurt & Cheesecake, especially the tangy ones.
Bina's Home-Made Ice Cream serves neither.
But that is not the issue here. The issue is to review their items.
Fabulous! Real time Innovation! Superb on taste! Fantastic variety! Amazing service! Decent ambience! Affordability!
All of those add up to quite a bit.
We need more such places to out do & oust the likes of Gelato Vinto, Magnum & Baskin Robbins. They have to come to terms with the fact that Indians are also capable of churning out TOP QUALITY Ice Cream at AFFORDABLE RATES.
Naturals will continue to delight taste buds across the country for eternity. So will Gianis in North India & Dinshaws in Central India. Amul & Mother Diary cater to more reasonably priced versions as well, with growing varieties.
Bina's, may your tribe increase. Great going!
Definitely recommended for a continuous treat of chilled out flavours!
Love love totally loved it!!
They had a stall at the flea market... Heard about them a lot.
Very very friendly couple welcomed us with a big smile and such warmth, I was already liking interacting with them.
The icecream menu is so interesting! Fascinated with the Jalebi icecream, masala-chai, spicy guava, lemon grass. They helped us with samples. Very confusing to decide. All the flavours very extra- ordinary! Very innovative and the flavours tasted authentic. The jalebi icecream was adequately sweetened... Had small jalebi pieces in it and the base was vanilla. Spicy guava tasted exactly like the pink gauvas cut and seasoned with little salt and red chilli powder, sweet base but had a nice zingy after-taste. Lemon grass was very refreshing very aromatic and full of flavour.
Definitely gonna be on my hit-list!!
Also, they deliver with scootsy.
Had the red Ruby ice cream - their take on the classic Thai dessert, Tub Tim Krob.
The ice cream managed to very successfully evoke the awesome taste. The coconut flavored ice cream with the water chestnut and coconut chunks tasted absolutely lovely.
If I had any complaints, there could have been more generous amounts of coconut and water chestnut in it.
I tried Bina's Homemade ice creams at the Dec 2015 Lil Flea event. I passed the signboard on my way in and wouldn't leave until I had some of the delicious fusion-flavor offerings.
The spicy guava was what first caught my eye. I had decided that is what is what I had wanted. But, when I went back to purchase, I noticed other fantastic flavors, too. I was spoilt for choice! I taste tested the rose sabja ice cream, which was delightful with a balance of floral and sweetness that was smoothed out by the creamy richness of the ice cream. The refreshing sabja bits were delightful amidst the cream, too.
Still, the spicy guava was what captured my heart, attention and my craving, so I opted for a cup of the delicious goodness. The spice was minimal, just a tinge of chili on the back of your tongue to balance the tropical guava fruit balanced with the sweet creaminess of the ice.
The taste was fresh & homemade. The hand churning technique leaves the ice cream well blended and consistency is dense without being heavily creamed. I was told they only use regular milk, with no added cream. The result is a true old fashioned American ice cream and the palate of Indian flavors makes this a uniquely local treat. I noticed they had beautiful homemade waffle cones, too, but I decided the purity of the cup & spoon was the way for me to go.
Tried some of these innovative sancha Ice creams by Bina's at the Dessert Garden. Sampled the Paan and Chocochips flavor, which had a nice, fresh taste of paan, but the chocochips did not go well with the Paan. Sampled a couple more and settled for a scoop of the lovely Chai Biskoot Ice Cream.
The Chai Biskoot Ice Cream
In my opinion, tea is the fuel which drives this country. We may bemoan the rise of petrol and diesel prices, but a good masala chai is something that is within the reach of the common man, throughout the country.
Trust the innovative Mumbaikars to give our humble Masala Chai a sweet twist.
The ice cream was quite good with a familiar taste of Masala chai, enough to do justice to the name but not overpowering the sweetness that is the essence of an ice cream. The biscuits bits thrown in were my favorite and had the same mushy/slightly coarse texture as you expect when you dunk in a biscuit in hot tea. This interplay of a smooth ice cream and the coarse biscuit was quite impressive to me. Definitely Recommended.
I'd definitely look to try more of their innovative flavors in the future.
Complete thumbs up for all ice creams specially hazelnut ferrero rocher chocolate ice cream ...its just tooo yummylicious They are quite late ght with no preservatives
On a dear friend's insistence, I sampled Bina's 'Lemongrass' ice cream. And i knew I'd fallen in love in an instant. While this was at the Food Show in Worli, I was looking in to give in to a very summery Rose Kulfi craving. And realized Bina's Home-Made Ice Cream also has a South Mumbai branch Yay! AND, they home deliver! YAY YAY. We ordered the Rose Almond and the Coconut. And are so delighted to find that ready-bought ice cream can taste this "natural". These ice creams don't have that funky fake-flavor after-taste. Nor are they excessively creamy. Or too oddly sorbet-like. They're just right - in consistency, texture and flavor. They don't feel synthetic. One can almost taste the fruit pulp through and through. I`m not fond of comparisons as such, but like a fellow reviewer's mentioned here - Bina's Ice Cream trumps Natural's by a dozen. I'll also give it 10 brownie points for being part of the "home-made, lovingly made" brand-wagon that I hugely support.I can't wait to order another flavor!
Tried the ice cream at the food show at Worli. The menu was exclusive and I have to say- jasmine rice was just fantastic..loved it!! Never thought rice in the form of ice cream could be so yumm.

We had called for her Peru Masala & lemon grass flavor ice creams as dessert for a small house party. All the guests kept asking where the ice creams were from and her number.. i need not say anything more about how good the ice creams were. Only thing is one needs to store it very well in the deep freeze since they are home made ice creams and with little exposure to hot air also they tend to more quickly in comparison to ice creams from brands like Naturals & Gokul.
However Bina's ice creams are amazing, she has very unusual flavors which are not only completely unheard of but also great in taste!! Cheers to Bina's!!
I tried Bina's Home-made ice cream at the BBC Great Food Show and i was just blown by the flavours. Their flavours are unique and make you want to go back for more. They had 9 flavours like Nougat, jasmine rice, paan chocochips, cinnamon chocochips.. i tried one of each. Really awesome!
I tried this ice cream at the Food Show in Worli and i seriously think that its better than naturals. Firstly the flavors are phenomenal - i tried - Lemongrass, lemon Lemon,Jasmine rice & spicy guava as they were selling these in bite sized scoops. I liked all of them except lemon lemon which i found slightly bitter. lemon grass for me was the most mind blowing flavor. The good part about this ice cream is that you can actually taste the natural flavor and it is overpowering than the ice cream base itself . This is what i find currently missing in naturals. Though they give only home delivery would definitely recommend a try.
Excellent Flavours and truly no preservatives- I never fall sick after eating this.
Only flavours made fresh are sold. For different flavours - order needs to be placed a day in advance at least.
Bina's Fresh Batch is a hidden gem for ice cream lovers! I can't get enough of their Chocolate Hazelnut and Lotus Biscoff flavors – they're heavenly. If you haven't tried it yet, you're seriously missing out. It's like a little scoop of happiness in every bite! I love that they also offer sugar-free flavors that are just incredibly delicious. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy a guilt-free treat.
I have been eating their ice-creams for a decade now!! They are so soo soo yummy! Literally irresistible if you have had one spoon!! Try the Coffee - Almond for sure..! Actually try it all..! I'm a big big fan!! I had no idea they were available on Zomato & Swiggy, used to always go to their town workshop..! Now that they are available on Zomato & Swiggy I'm unstoppable!!
All the flavours I have tried are soo delightful! My top 5 favorites are
