Everything was amazing at this place. Authentic Malayali food for all Malayalis living away from home.
Had the Sadya thali , it was just awesome . Loved the hospitality despite being completely packed ..... would definitely try their regular thali again .
It's a very small joint dishing out Kerala food to its clients. This is a family owned eatery hence always expect homely food. The menu is very limited and staple Kerala meals but great taste and served with love. 2/3veg curries, papa The owner Varghese will make you comfortable with chitchat and makes you feel at home. Highly recommend who likes Kerala thali.
Small home like eatery place with high positive vibes. A beautiful old-age couple is this Restaurant's owner. They comfort you and serve you with love. If you are expecting anything exotic at this place, don't go. But if you fancy delicious Home made authentic food, you should visit this place once. 🌼🌼
Thank you Kerela Lunch Home. 🤗
It’s a no nonsense eatery. The lunch is heavy on the stomach and light on the wallet.
The owner seemed to know a few people by name when I went. This is probably because of the loyal customer base the place has.
The food is well prepared and tastes excellent.
It’s pretty close from the Goregaon station (₹25 by auto) so if you can, do visit the place.
Great place, great vibes, great food, great on the pocket; I've been here a few times for my conditioned love of Kerala local food. The Fish thali is pretty good. Don't miss out on talking to the owner who is an extremely amicable and fun person to chit chat with while munching here.
cooking is no rocket science nor any magic where in you pull out a hare out of a hat.
its just love love and a lotta love.
mothers are best cooks only because ofthe amount of love that goes in preparing a meal for the entire family.
I recently came across a small lil place called Kerala Lunch home in Goregao. owned and managed by a beautiful, humble, caring and extremely welcoming family of Uncle Verghese. How many business now a days do actually really really care about the guests and treat them like a family....well a few maybe !!
it was soo heart touching and moving to see aunty cooking, the daughter washing utensil and uncle being soo soo soo active, enthu and caring... he sets his standard of hospitality to a different level.
simple food made with losts of love and served with equal passion jus doubles up to the flavour
...if you have read it now ....just rush to this place and be enjoying being a part of this family for a lil time...and ofcourse enjoy their homely mota rice, sambar, fish curry, Avial and much much more.

The place I came to know a few days back and I had lunch. Since then I prefer to have food @ Kerala lunch home every time during lunch if am at nearby location because the taste and homely preparations. The owner (retired couple) belongs to pathanamthitta district at Kerala. They cook themself and the food is absolute good quality. At lunch they serve with properly cooked brown rice with sambar, curd curry, two vegitables, papad, pickles etc etc also serve chicken, fish varieties.
It is a must visit place. They price too very economical.
An authentic Kerala food restaurant,
If you looking for homely food, than you can anytime go to this place
the food was really good, quality-wise and taste-wise
Staff was very friendly, had i been staying nearby i would visit this place every day
Such a nice feeling you get when you go there, aunty keeps asking why don't you want more rice, please eat. Morucurry( curd curry) I'd Out of the world, and so is mathi curry. I wish i stayed close by, would eat there daily... A must go
If you are looking for sum excellent home cooked kerala food this is one place you can feed your soul. Run by this very polite Uncle and aunty who will serve you the authentic kerala food exactly as it taste in kerala.
Went with my family for Onam 2018.. enjoyed the food, Mr Varghese the owner and his family are an excellent host. Must visit place for authentic Kerala food.😊
Authentic kerala home food. It's run by a family. Uncle and aunty was very courteous and friendly. Food is good. Go for thali and fish fry. Even chicken fry is good. Price are reasonable. Overall experience was very good.
Kerala Lunch Home – A slice of home!
This little jewel nestles in the lane adjoining the Vibgjyor school Goregaon West.
Mr & Mrs Varghese an elderly couple full of life run this little joint as their post retirement project. The family cooks, the family serves and the extended family chip in! And of course, a guest who goes to dine there is treated just like family.
It is reminiscent of walking into the homes of extended family and being asked to stay for a meal.
You have the husband and wife duo coming out to serve you, persuading you to have an extra helping while peppering the whole meal with simple, warm conversations! Mr. Varghese cooks the vegetarian meals while his wife is the chef of their non-vegetarian dishes.
We went for a veg and a non-veg meal and were treated to a nice, home-cooked Pathanamthitta vegetarian meal with red unpolished rice, sambar, a yoghurt based curry (moru kootan) and a dish of spicy “kachiya Moru”a tempered version of light yoghurt with spices such as turmeric, salt, mustard, green chillies, garlic and fresh curry leaves! A delicious accompaniment to the meal. Crisp Kerala Papad and pickle gave a tangy twist to the meal. Their grandchild has excelled in her board exams and on this day the proud grandparents prepared “payasam” and distributed it to the diners to share their joy!
The non-veg meal had a nice, red chicken curry to go with the red rice and all the vegetables.
This place is not fancy but the ambience is something worth experiencing.
The sweet couple make sure their warmth makes you want to go back and we were touched when they also came to the door step to see us off and wish us a safe drive!
The place is run by a sweet 60plus malayalee couple for the sheer love of kerala cusine. I recommend a visit on the weekend for an amazing kerala home made food experience which wouldn't burn a hole in your pocket. Aptly named 'Lunch Home', the place doesn't feel like a hotel because of the personal touch the couple give to each and every element.
When you badly miss home and the craving for mom's food starts eating you, just come out of your flat, catch a rick and head to Kerala Lunch Home. Deliciously authentic kerala cuisines, I must say. A very delightful place where you can enjoy your meal, watching Mohanlal on the TV.
An absolutely delightful place with homely delicious food made all the more yummy by the love and the care the owner couple serve it with. One of few remaining places in Mumbai where the food is the star.
Great place, great food and great taste...the food is authentic yet good to belly....homely food prepared by lovely old couple. The owner will make you feel at home and will be more than willing to share his recipe..more than spices it's their love that makes the food so delicious..will definitely visit again,😊
One of the best meal. Foodgasm.. Kids also loved it and hospitality if top notch. Will visit again soon. Full food and tummy satisfaction.. Wanted to eat lot more but only one stomach.
Definitely one of the best Kerala home food out there! Been there multiple times, the way the owner serves food makes you to eat more. Such generous people and service is on point!!!
This is my go to place for Kerala food in Mumbai 🤩
A small lunch home run by the people with the biggest hearts!
If you are a Malayali far from home in Mumbai city, wanting to have some home made Kerala food, head over to lunch at Kerala lunch home run by a loving Malayali family.
If you at a non-mallu wanting to taste authentic Kerala food at very very affordable price served with love, head over here.
The food is tasty, portions are huge, no extra oil or spices, served in a small hut neat and clean mess.
Though Sadhya on banana leaf served with payasam (kheer) is the specialty served on Sunday, you get equally good food on weekdays lunch as well.
Both veg and non-veg available.
Other than Kerala meals, you also get porotta and appam and some such delicacies with accompanying curries.
The entire Verghese family (see picture) headed by the two patriarchs run this lovely, clean and homely little restaurant, Kerala Lunch Home. Every single ingredient in ever fish comes from Kerala. They make their own pickles and masalas. The food is cooked by the family and the food instantly takes you to a home in Kerala. Simple, tasty, and made with love. The accompanying drinking water is Pathimugham water.
One of the most delicious south Indian dishes served in Goregaon West. 🤤😋
I liked how each variety was presented.☺️
Felt a cosy atmosphere from the employees.💗
Saturday lunch done right! This is our second visit to the place. Loved the fish thali that they serve here. I should try their thalis on Sunday as they serve it on Banana leaf along with adapradhaman (payasam). We have also tried chicken biryani here. It was very flavourful served in earthen pot. The best part is karingyali vellam(red colour water). It is tastless but takes me back to my native, Kerala.
A meal prepared at Kerela lunch home (Goregaon), left me and my family not only satisfied but completely gratified as well! The most important ingredient in all their meals is truly LOVE, only that’s why uncle and aunty are able to prepare such authentic Kerela food. Loved everything about this humble restaurant and it’s owners. A must visit!
Good place to have Kerala food served by the generous family .Food was homely, not spicy nor bland, but just to the right amount..You end up eating more just for the reason that the family is very caring and generously serving their food..Uncle and aunty, their daughters and also son-in-law along with the other staff are also so welcoming and caring, big thanks for filling our stomachs with some good Kerala food and our hearts with all the love showered.
God bless the family and may they continue to serve food with love to many more hungry stomachs. Will keep visiting agian
This place is a true hidden gem in Goregaon providing home cooked food. They provide with best kerala food made by a owner, his wife and 2 daughters. Highly recommend
Kerala Lunch Home in Goregaon West is a family run restaurant that serves AMAZING home cooked food. I tried the chicken thali which came with chicken curry, cabbage thoran and avial. The food was tasteful and flavours were extremely well balanced. Great portion sizes too!
The family running the place are very sweet and always happy to engage. Almost like visiting your own family for a meal!
They also serve biryani and pazham pori which are on my wishlist the next time I go here for lunch.
Would recommend Kerala Lunch Home for it's great food, homely ambience and excellent service.
Wonderful experience having home made food in homely environment. Looking forward to visiting again. Missed the experience of eating on plantain leaves as the same were exhausted. But the taste of the food was awesome which left us with no regrets.
Lovely hosts, kind and generous staff.. food is typical Kerala food.. tasty and good quantities are serving! Worth your money and time!

Homely food. Tasty and healthy. Truly amazing. Had a sumptuous lunch!!
It's a home away from home for any Malayali in Mumbai. Feels like you're eating with your family here. I have to call out the absolutely heartwarming gesture of specially preparing pazham pori on an extremely hectic day for just me. They all literally went out of the way to make those lovely hot fresh banana fritters because I was craving those. Needless to say, the food is delicious here. Just ensure you drop here well in time for lunch (between 12-12.30 p.m) to get the lunch. They prepare limited quantity of food and run out of it pretty quickly. So plan your visit accordingly.
Amazing food. Simple, home cooked, flavourful. The hosts come and talk to you and make you feel comfortable. Loved the experience
I eat here as often as i eat at home ! Also eating at this joint since 2016 Truly home cooked food amazing finger licking good food and healthy food cooked with so much love and also feed you with same amount of love 💗
I went to try out the lunch menu today 4th March 2022. Had a vegetarian thaali. It consisted of three vegetables provided in cups - spinach, bhendi and Lal bhopla- sambar with pumpkin slices, kadi, rice, papad and pickles on request. Nice taste not salty or spicy and the quantity too was precisely what a normal adult male would require. I paid the extremely acceptable bill of ₹ 170/- to the owner Mr Varghese who was manning the cash counter and returned home a contented man
Authentic tasty, home cooked kerala food, warm, comforting vibe. Loved the experience!
Good authentic food ! Everyday the menu for their thali changes which is good. They have only the thali system no other things. Good combination of veg and non veg.
