This place is near Elphistone bridge ( near Prabhadevi Station ). It is a good and hygienic place. Their food quality is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. PANEER BHURJI is my favorite dish of this place, other food dishes are also great. The rotis, naans, etc. are also good. It is a family restaurant. I ordered Paneer Bhurji and Mushroom, the both the things tasted amazing!! The food was packed nicely. They provided some onions and lemons. Over all packaging was good.
• Paneer Bhurji - The best dish you can ever eat. The paneer is very soft and yummy. For heavy eater one plate paneer bhurji is sufficient for 2-3 people and for light eater 3-4 people.
• Mushroom - The taste of this dish is very good. The mushrooms are finely chopped. One plate sufficient for 4-5 people.

Prarthana restaurant is my anytime favourite place. Service is good. Quality and quantity is good. I had paneer handi which was too yummy specially the gravy which was best in that sabji and which was also unique than other paneer handi. Greenish gravy in paneer handi was love. Another thing i had dal khichdi which too was tasty. It was better than other dal khichdi which i had. If you are looking for good quality and quantity and yummy food in reasonable rates specially in parel area you should visit here once.

I stay very close to this hotel. I visit or order from here atleast twice or thrice a week. As both my parents go to work, the only option I have is to order from here because their food feels like home. I'm ordering food from here since past 15 years.

The food is good when they serve it on the table, Home delivery one sucks a little though. Taste is different in home delivery food but quantity is little more. Better you order and eat over there.

I would define this outlet as convenient place at a convenient location. I guess more than people visiting this place cause the love it; they mustbe visiting cause there is no better option nearby. This is located just outside the railway station; which makes it convenient for office going crowd to grab a bite while going to or leaving from their workplace.
About food; pav bhaji seems tobe standard and regular order for most of the people since it is convenient for single person to indulge the dish either as breakfast or as lunch. Since it is pure veg; many people also make most of the veg starters such as veg chilly.
The place for reasons mentioned above; is crowded most of the time. If you are visiting as a single person; you might will have to share table with one or three more people. The food quality or taste is not consistent. Thus giving verdict of racipe is futile. All in all this is not an awesome place; but it definitely stands true to its name for its location.
South & North Indian dishes are served here. If u want to taste Maharashtrian dishes, potato vada is a good option. Misal is not much spicy. Dosas r also good.

Being next to Indiabulls Finance Centre on Elphinstone bridge has its own advantages and this place leverages that to the hilt. This place offers a variety of options to cater to almost all types of taste buds. You can always order food but there are hardly any places around Indiabulls finance centre where you can go out with the team and hence this place is crowded during lunch hour.
I have been there myself a number of times for lunch with large groups, small groups and a few times by myself. Their staff caters to quite a lot of demands but still manages to meet your expectations. I have heard, not tried myself, that their south Indian is average but their other food items which I have eaten seem good, especially for the money you pay.
You can try their Paneer Lajawab, it comes fully covered in cheese!!
Good place for morning and evening snacks. Roti Sabzi and other heavy food not too good. Waiters are casual, but food is affordable and quality not too tasty, but decent. One of the few south Indian joints along the stretch. Worth a visit! Also the place is located walking distance from Elphinstone Road Railway station and not Lower Parel as mentioned here. Also the map indication shows a wrong location! It is just at the base of Elphinstone Road Bridge near the junction.

Located just beside India Bulls finance centre, I end up visiting this place about twice a week. Easy on pocket and variety of items on their menu are their USPs. The food is good. I especially like their paneer lababdar, veg cheese pizza( though Italians will faint at the sight of this pizza) and malai kulfi. However, they take quite a long time to serve the food. It is at least an hour that you have to spare if you wish to eat at Prarthana.
One of the oldest veg restaurant near my home. Nowadays very crowded because of the nearby offices at Indiabulls. Me and my daughter enjoy the paneer tikka here. Very friendly on the pocket too and the staff had always been courteous to me.

This is one of the best restaurant around my work place. During lunch hours, the place is super crowded. The food is really good. My favourite dish is the Cheese Garlic Kofta, man this is the best thing available here, trust me! The butter rotis are very soft. The missal pav here is too good, amongst the best I've had! The service is pretty fast and the staff is friendly. The rates are very low and the taste and quality if food is too good!
All in all, a very good place for decent food and very light on the pocket! Kudos Prarthana! I'll keep visiting during my office lunch.

A no frills middle class eatery.
Wide variety of food given the scale of the place. I was hungry, and so opted for a North Indian fare as against its South Indian counterpart.
Paneer Bhurji, Rotis and Garlic Naans. The Paneer Bhurji was pleasantly not too oily, my first thumbs up. It was medium spicy and the paneer didnt taste poor. The rotis were average and the Garlic naan had good number of garlic bits layered atop the bread. I chomped on happily.
I came out fully sated, and with a no guilt zone about excessive calories. The total tab was sub INR 200, which was pretty pretty decent.

It has a fair variety of foods on the menu nothing out of the box. The Punjabi is good and so is the south Indian food. The Chinese food is okay. The food is quite good for the price tag. The service is fairly quick and there usually is a waiting during lunch hours.
I regularly order from prarthana, very decent food specially punjabi dishes are great. Ordered Chinese few times but it's decent typical udpi Chinese and it's is value for money for sure.
every dish here ranging from south indian, punjabi, rice items and other snacks is worth trying and dying for :-) specially the misal and punjabee dishes. very neatly priced !!!

Located on elphinston road near the flyover bumped up this place after looking for a place to eat near to station after visiting lalbaugh raja. With clean place decided to dine here . Came here at peak time of lunch.
Coming to ambiance eat is average.Though table chair sitting is little congested still manged to sit somehow.Tables look new with shiny edges.
Ordered misal pav and mix veg with paneer masala , all the items were delicious as i was starving the taste got increased :P . Fresh pav with hot misal was nice same was with mix vegetable and paneer masala . Very decent quantity enough for three people with single dish . Items were properly cooked and was nice . Tandoori roti was also nice though little less cooked but still tasted good.
Service was decent , quick servings totally satisfied.
