Although located in a remote place, hard to find, if ur new to this place , nearest landmark is a Gora Gandhi restaurant, it's very near from there. Very near by borivali station....here you will feel like a homemade food...very tasty awesome Gujarati food....best part is unlimited food....service is best....cost is Rs.130 per thali without sweet dish with sweet dish it is Rs.150 which I consider little bit higher..

Me and mum went for a lunch here after a bustling day doing groceries shopping in the borivali market. It's a humble place, the seating and tables are granite marble. They serve you with the thaali as soon as you step in. The day we went, sweet special was aam ras. Vegetables and dal and puri's and chapati's are served first. Then followed by white rice, khichdi and one papad. Authentic gujarati home cooked meal is what you can expect here.

Looking for a thali place in Borivali area- this is it! This place epitomizes an amazing thali experience without burning a hole in your pocket. Barring the sub standard ambiance everything else about this place is top notch.
The thali they serve contains bahkri, poori, roti, 3 sabjis, dal, kadhi, rice, buttermilk and a sweet dish. Also you will get some salads and papad to go with all this. The food tastes like "ghar ka khana" as we would call it.
They also have a take away option which not many thali places provide. The service is lightning quick. The entire model is based on quick servicing so as to increase the table turnover and serve more customers in the same time. The service on occasions is so quick that the guy is ready with the repeat serving even before you ask for it.
Good food and unlimited food! And all this at a really low cost! What more can you ask for! There is still a scope for improvement in terms of ambience. More polished staff and service will be a welcome improvement too. Definitely worth a visit!

Okay. So where would you get a full thali in so less price. The options we got were great. Bhakri, puri, roti, rice, khichdi, dal of two types, kadi, sabzis. It's like how much ever you eat your heart is going to skip a beat. Worth the money.

Here I am after a long time wait to eat the grand thali bin borivali..... Sagar......one of the oldest thali center in borivali and have heard from family as well...the food is good....with tatse as homemade....a must visit for people staying away from home.

I'm not a thaali person but went to Sagar Dining hall with mom as she was craving a thaali. This place has a spartan setup, quick service and quality food. It is also easy on the pocket.
You have to buy a token before sitting after which they clean your thaalis in front of you a and begin by serving buttermilk. Then the food comes in troves. There's three types of breads: fulka, puri and bhaakri; dal in salty and sweet options as well as kadhi; sabzis such as alu, moong, sev tamatar; and a snack which was dal dhokli today. Sides like papad, achaar, chatni, pyaaz and kheera are served too. Desert is optional by paying and extra 20 bucks.
By the time you reach buttermilk you will be bursting at the seams...but you still down it, because who can say no to buttermilk!
Wholesome food and go when very hungry and craving ghar ka khana!

I tried surti undhiyu and phulka. Undhiyu is oily and not upto mark. It did not have brinjal, sweet potato, blue kand, tuver Dana. The muthiya were not properly cooked or soft. The phulkas were ok with ghee.

The spread is decent enough with dal, kadi, sabjis, rotis, sweet, rice, papad, pickle, snacks, buttermilk etc. This is unlimited and their service team is good and polite. While the taste and spread is good overall, I felt the quality of rotis and rice was not upto a good standard and that the subjis had a little more oil than required.

A small dining hall located in Borivli. It's interior was simple. One has to pay upfront and wash hands before eating. The Thali plates were kept upside down. Had arranged the plate accordingly and the waiters started serving food one at a time. The Thali consisted of various vegetable items, rotis, puris, curd, shrikhand, pickle etc. All of them were unlimited except for Aamras which was limited. The Thali tasted delicious. The ambience was fine. The service was quick. The prices were reasonable. Overall, a good place for unlimited Gujarati Thali.
