I got this delivery on the weekend from Northern Tadka. The delivery was quick and the food was hot.
The highlight of all the items was the Jheenga Biryani which was in an earthen pot (Makta). Not seen a delivery been made like this. A little expensive on the pocket, but the taste was worth it.
We also ordered
Paneer Punjabi - nice gravy and delicious taste
Daal Khichadi - Perfect taste
Complimentary Jalebi was just about average.
Overall, it was a delightful meal which made my weekend.
Personally I'd recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants to try some punjabi mughlai food and is currently around kandivali i ordered the following stuff

Northern tadka is the best place for a heavy North Indian style lunch and dinner as the name suggests.
It is the best food service and management is very polite.
We love their concept of attentive service.
They have a really dope and delicious food menu to taste from .
We had panner chilli dry which was very delicious.
Then we ordered butter chicken along with some naan
Naan was very delicious and Crispy too.

It is party place, no dance floor but you can enjoy food and music and happy hour. Even good to go with family. There staff might confused with dish ingredients but food is good.
Northern tadka and Jugheads is now combined so you'll get to eat varieties here. At northern tadka we'd ordered Nimboo Chicken(must must try). Chicken was so tender and was completely marinated and covered with creamy thick sauce and the tangy flavour of lemon complimented the dish really well(more than we thought). This place be little crowded but I'm sure you'll still love it.. I'll let you know about my Jugheads experience there on Jugheads, thakur village, kandivali. Give it a try! A good place to go n chill with friends. I had the mushroom starter, the taste was amazing, had chakna with the drinks, service is also good, ambience is also good and the music they play there is for the 80's kids, but still very good, I enjoyed it even when I don't belong to that group. Don't have any pics but I'll upload them soon once I go back there
Good food . Seating is comfortable. service little slow. We had been there for a lunch on Sunday.
Rotis were hot and really cooked well . Papad were bad. Vegetables were good and yummy.

Love the ambience of this place..it's a little on the darker side but you'll like it if you are out with a bunch of noisy friends..the Chicken Chilly in Oyster Sauce is a must try...we also had the Chicken lasagna..it was good though I found the sheets to be a little rough...but the mince was good...and then the chocolate mousse...so creamy and so delicious..

Captain Umesh from Northern Tadka attended us and it was a pleasure to be served by him. Good food , good music , good ambience and lively place. A perfect combination one craves for in mumbai.
We ordered a lot of things.
Veg platter had so many contents like malai paneer tikka , corn , baby corn , sweet potato , stuffed potato , seekh kebab and they all were flavourful ๐
In drinks we ordered flying rocket , lemon ice tea and strawberry margarita which added zing to our tastebuds.
Next was main course which we kept basic sabzi biryani and dal makhani which were served by Mr. Umesh himself as the biryani pot is suppose to be hot. Dal was creamy and tasteful. Biryani was the best.
Lastly in dessert we were served jalebi and rabri. Jalebi was crispy and we all loved it.
My 'Go To' place for authentic Dhaba style food in the area. Located conveniently right on the W.E. Highway yet very close to prime residential area, they have sufficient parking space and valet parking facility.
The retaurant has an outdoor sitting area with about 15-20 tables and an equally big a/c room. Typical props have been used to create a Punjabi dhaba style effect.
The menu doesn't offer a huge variety but the dishes served are awesome. For veg starters, one should try the Tandoori Aloo. The chicken and fish starters are also good. We tried the prawns masala and a chicken gravy with roomali roti. Also tried their makki di roti and sarson da saag which is a seasonal delicacy. The paneer dishes are droolworthy and so is their daal-khichdi. Home delivery service is an added advantage for the residential buildings in the area.
Definitely, a place worth multiple revisits.

They kinda have a joint thing with jughead's though but the menu is different.
From tandoori to biryani to the lassi everything seems to be yum. A must go place for Punjabi lovers if you looking for a classy place.
Order any dish of any cuisine and chances are it will be taste better than you have tasted that dish anytime before! I have tried Indian Tandoori, Thai, Chinese, Italian and trust me every dish was finger lickin good. My favourite dishes are Thai chicken curry, Dhuaandaar murg tikka, Dal makhani , burnt garlic rice and tava jheenga to name a few.
The ambience is nice and the service is good too! The only and only issue is the waiting time! You reach that place post 8 pm on a weekend and you have to wait for at least 45 minutes!
Nevertheless, it's a place where you can treat your taste buds.
Wanted to try some Punjabi cuisine food and order take away from northern tadka ...name itself tells u that there is taste of some northern food ..I order for subz biriyani which has came in matka and makhanwala subz which turn it into good food quality and quantity..the taste was awesome ....along with the food they gave small quantity of dessert i.e jalebi.. overall it's was good ..
I have never been to this place but have ordered home delivery a lot of times. I have to say they have the best Jalebis in the area which come with yummy rabri! The taste is true to it's name, very tasty north indian menu. The meat is always fresh and well cooked. The delivery of food has always been on time. Food has always been hot and well packaged. Highly recommend their dilliwala tandoori chicken, dhuandaar murgh tikka, jungle tikka and Seekh kebab for starters. Butter chicken, patiala murgh and peshawari murgh for main course. A must try.

My favourite place in thakur village n my kids love this place. Good food n good service. Prices are slightly higher but the ambience n services is worth spending. They even serve you continental meals too
Delicious food except Very spicy, despite requesting very low spice level. We ordered the Veg biryani and rajma rice. We added almost equal quantities of plain white rice to lower the spice level before eating. Then it was good. Also chose the Green option while ordering but delivery came in plastic bag with numerous little plastic packets of pickle, chutneys, onions, etc.
This is just me but it would be helpful to send only the biryani and raita for veg biryani, and only rajma rice without all the accompaniments Or provide an option for this. Only send for those who opt for these things.

Firstly Zomato should rectify the menu price.... since it has increased.....Had been today to this joint for tasting sizzlers.....as I had been here previously for Punjabi veg fare..... I ordered for Chicken Mexicano.....it arrived within 5 to 10 mts .....came with extra helping of Mexican sauce (which is tangy rajma base) few french fries, lightly flavoured Mexican rice ( needed a lil generous helping),french fries, stuffed capsicum,(capsicum wasn't cooked at all - very raw), & vegetables (an integral part of sizzling diet)and good amount of chicken pieces coated with the same Mexican sauce.
Qty of a sizzler can suffice 2 below avg to average bellies ๐
All in all an enjoyable dish but would request the management to come up with variety or additions like tacos pierced on chicken cutlets.....here I am sharing broad hints on improving your dish....do I get a discount for this? ๐
Would like try some more on the list of sizzlers.
I have not mentioned about ambience since it has been given its due by other reviewers.....and at the end of it all that matters is food glorious food ๐

Great place, good service. They have introduced a new menu for holi. Ordered aloo Chaman ki tikki, rang biranga tikki which were great. Well suggested by the server. In the mains we had takatak murgh masala and mutton lathmaar both were good and finished of with Rasmalai . We really appreciate the team for making our dinner a great time.
Have visited the Thakur Mall restaurant several time as we love Northen Tadka food. That is now closed. And this was our first visit here. And i must say i was not disappointed. Everyone loved the food. Tandoori Aloo was nicely done. Chicken Tandoori was tender and very very tasty. Dal Tadka was great. Overall a wonderful experience and great thing is that it is next door. i will surely visit again. very soon. Only problem was with service and i guess it was due to weekend rush. hope this would improve. Surprised to see Jugheads and Northern Tadka are one, thought it would be separate.
Have been up this place twice... The food is good, but not as good as the one in Malad... The non veg starters are really good... There only confusing part is the same place/ambience for both northern tadka and jugheads

Ambience: Place is a bit loud, had to ask them to decrease the volume of music๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ. They have multiple TV installed and most of the time you will find waiters lost in it.
This place has special arrangements on Tuesday evening for candlelight dinner, but the biggest turn off is the music while you try enjoying the candlelight.

I am regular to this place. Come here for the food and service. Madhu from the service team has always provided us very good service. We used to mostly visited the Malad branch. Madhu was the one to inform us about the Kandivali Branch. Our favorites on the food menu Nimbu Chicken, Ambarsariyaย Chicken , Tadkeywale lollypo, Rajma Chawal , Aloo Chole tey Briyani and last but not the least Jalebi with Rabdi

This is becoming a family joint for me. Food is really good and the service could be better. We have been there quiet a few times for family dinner. The chilly chicken is really hot and spicy. It was a instant hit with my Father. They have good process of inviting guest in their birthday and anniversary. Reason to go back to them. Overall a good experience but it's becoming pain to get in the restaurant co of the traffic on link road. Sorry I put traffic on your review. But it might resist me from coming back again. Went to this place on my wifes birthday. Was looking out for such a place for whilenin Thakur Village. Decor is cool. Starter is excellent. Worth a 4 or a 4.2 star rating. But as its very near to my house, i am giving it a 5 star rating.
Finally Norther Tadka has opened its door almost after 2 years of Covid. It was fortunate that we landed here on the same day of opening. Happy to see those smiling face of the employees. Though only came for dinner but as it was an opening day, we opened a bottle of beer too. Cheerzzzzz......

This is an awesome place for family or friends' get together. Their hospitality, food and ambience is excellent. The music is too loud sometimes but they also turn it down if you request the stewards. Food is delicious and well presented. Prices are slightly on the higher side, I feel, but the quality (but not quantity) makes it worth trying.

This place was good. We were a large group here for lunch. We had the non-veg platter which was good on variety and taste. The soups and biryani were also decent. Service was ok.
This outlet finally re-opened after covid. The staffs were very welcoming and the food tastes exactly like it was before.
