After innumerable no of times of visiting phoenix market City food court..we finally gave this place a try..and my perception was proven wrong and exceeded my expectations by miles..the gravy noodles/chowmein was one of the best I had in Mumbai..and the chilli chicken was splendid as well..the quality left me shocked because we have somehow never given this place a nod..and thank god we finally did..and now they have 1+1 as well..I don't know whether they have upped their game because of competition..even if u have tried from here before give it another try .u might well be in awe of the quality..

We shared 2 non veg combos among the 3 of us, and it was really filling. We could hardly finish the stuff. Quick service too. I have given it a 4 rating instead of a 5 as the food could be tastier, especially the sauces.

I frequently visit Essence of China, the flavours are really good plus pocket friendly. Great service and it’s my top choice for Chinese food. The portion sizes are also quite good. Love the chicken lollipop and noddles. It’s my comfort food place.

Essence of China, visited this place with friends. Nice place to chill with yours friends because it is located in the Phoenix Marketcity. You can have only Chinese cuisine here.
Ordered Paneer Shashlik Sizzler which was combinations of rice, noodles and gravy. It was really tasty and delicious.
I tried the chicken Saibo and the peri peri chicken rice.
Loved the sauces and even the presentation has improved.

I don't know why the ratings are low because I loved the food here! The price is quite affordable and the taste too! The noodles are so soft than your normal restaurant noodles.. sizzlers are the best where you can have a full satisfied stomach... The smell the taste is all so lips-smacking... And it's so worth to have Chinese here! The quantity and the quality is very nice.. worth try! Especially the combos and sizzlers

After a long and tiring shopping spree at the mall, we decided to have dinner at Essence of China. The outlet is located at the food court of the mall and have an an extensive menu with many veg and non-veg options.
We ordered the Chicken Saibo and Burnt Garlic Fried Rice. The chicken was soft, crispy and tasted great with just the right amount of spices and tanginess The rice had a hint of garlic in every bite which added to the overall flavour. The food was delicious and the quantity that they serve is just amazing.
Also, despite the Saturday night crowd at the outlet, the service was quick and the staff was very patient and polite with every customer.
We ended our meal with Malai Kulfi from their summer special menu. The kulfi was extremely rich and creamy and just the perfect treat to end our meal with.
Overall, this place is a delight for all Chinese lovers. I would definitely visit it again to try out the other dishes from their menu.
Loved the Chicken crispy. Our go to dish from Essence of China. As per the price, serves a good quantity of food. Looking forward to try other dishes as well. Adding 1 star extra just for the chicken crispy.
As the name suggested it is a pure essence of china. Try out their meal combos which is sufficient for one person and u will get varieties in it. The meal combo comes with a starter, roll , manchurian and rice/noodles. Their soup was also good to taste.

all time favorite indo chinese , had ordered chilli garlic noodles this time, with chicken the noodles had amazing mouthful taste of garlic , chicken quiet juicy , also the noodles had scrambled eggs with it which added on the taste , overall always the best for indo chinese , chilli garlic noodles liked better than the schezwan
This was the first time i had something from here. I am a chicken lover especially Chinese its always a yes from me to try Chinese dishes. I am so happy to had the taste of essence of china. The food was yummilicious. Chicken pieces were so soft the sauce taste was amazing. The rice was equally good. Its a must try out place. All Chinese lover should definitely give it a try.

Ordered some steamed wantons from here and liked how they managed to get the raw, succulent taste of every vegetable they'd put into it. Also, I was expecting it to be a dry, appetizer-like preparation but it was surprisingly juicy and filling. I'm sure I'll try something more that they have to offer sometime.

A place you can't miss at Phoenix market city. This Chinese joint is the best I've eaten at. From the combo meal to the new prawns menu, it is lip smacking. The options of Chinese food at its best, essence of china gives you a variety of veg and non veg. The veg momos, crispy chilli potato and chicken Saibo are to die for. A must visit, the best place to eat at after you're tired shopping at the mall.

Try out the Pan Fried noodles the quality of the food is class apart from the other restaurants in the food court. What I also noticed, it's the only restaurant in the mall food court freshly preparing every order unlike others who are just preheating it.
Decent oriental place situated on the 3rd floor food court at Phoenix market city, Kurla. We tried their veg momos and they were quite nice. They came with a hot garlic sauce. Service was a bit slow. But taste wise it was quite nice.

A good restaurant located at Phoenix Market City Kurla good for Chinese lovers had been to this place to have hot soup because before visiting this outlet we went for snow-world so for leveling body temperature we ordered a hot mushroom soup taste was good and it was so hot that are lips were :p :D

At first on seeing we wer upset looking at the quantity. Though the quantity for noodles was better but for rice was too less.
But as soon as we started that leds rice seemed to be too much (i think the use of baking soda was too much due to wich spoonful of rice left us with heavy tummy)
Coming to the taste its not out of the world neither too bad.. It is okay..

Its clearly my favorite eatery at the mall. The quality and standard of food never lets me down. Like never! The chicken Saibo and coriander soup with chilli garlic fries are to die for! The menu is mouth watering and the food served doesn't fail you. I was quite happy with their home delivery service too( served on time and hot) I'd recommend this place to all the Chinese food lovers around. It's definitely worth giving a try.
