We had gone for the 19 th December 2019 August kranti Maidan protests

While on the return we were very tired and exhausted and had no water or whatsoever while reaching near this restaurant the owner was asking the crowd to have a free tea and cold drinking water.

The free tea was amazing in taste and the gesture was applauded

The food was great. No doubt in that. However, they have added Chicken Kepsa in starters. And we thought it was starters and ordered it. In fact, it was rice. We had a huge quantity of food which we are still eating even after 2 days. We are now gastronomically paralysed.

I had been here couple of times.
I have tried their Chicken kepsa rice, Paneer Schezwan rice, Chicken fried rice and manchow soup.
Chicken fried : Rice to chicken and eggs ratio 60:40
One of the best fried rice i ever had.
Paneer schezwan rice : unlike other restaurants they dont add red colour. It was slightly red because of schezwan sauce they used.
Taste wise it was "delicious".
Manchow soup : just how it is suppose to be.
Again perfect.
One thing i noticed here is that quality of rice and other ingredients was really good.
And this restaurant definitely knows how to cook Rice dishes.
This is One of the few restaurants in south Mumbai who serve good kepsa rice.
Excellent quality and quantity.

I had visited this place with my friends for 2 times ..food available here is very good..we had tried veg and non veg dishes..The taste of food is very good..The service is very quick. We had order Banjara chicken Tikka, it was spicy in taste topping was with fill with cheese.Thread chicken crispy with was deep fried served with schezwan sauce.for main course we had order Murg Musallam and Butter chicken.Both the dishes were yummy in taste we had it with tondoori Roti. In desert we tasted black current falooda. Must visit this place 😊

The most important is it's within budget.

Cons:
Space is not that much wider.
Card payment is not accepted.

Overall I love this place and will visit soon.

NEW HEROES is basically known for its Mughlai dishes and the Sea food. CHICKEN MASALA, CHICKEN BUTTER, Special CHICKEN LAJAWAB is what all I had in chicken here and it was quite tasty. Original mughlai taste is hard to find at any other place other than places which are on Mohammad Ali road. But NEW HEROES restaurant promises to provide you the best mughlai taste you can ever have.

On weekends it is even difficult to find a table in the restaurant. People stand in queues and wait for the table to get vacated.

PRAWN MASALA and PRAWN TAWA is also quite good among sea food.. Even vegetarian food is delicious here.
Everything in this restaurant is at reasonable price.

Tried their Mutton Dabba Ghosh and chicken chilly which is mouth watering. No waiting and very helpful chef/waiters and quick service. Special care is taken for guest who come over regularly and informs about ones liking for each ones taste. This hotel is just opposite the Nana Chowk Fire Brigade station.

Saw a marathi tv food show covering this place and thot it was pretty funny.. this place has been arnd for ages and it has improved like crazy in the last 5.years.. best schezwan tandoori in town.. chicken kheema tawa is also worth a try..they have actually reduced the amount of color in food so its a very good thing..

I have been going to this restaurant for 4-5 years at least. If you are a fan of Mughlai food, then this is a place you must visit.
Not many people do, but I always have their Mughlai gravies with roomali roti! It's soft and light, but very filling.
Their tandoori chicken is lip smacking. Do try it. So is tikka platter.
Also, have a caramel custard at the end.
The best part is that this restaurant is very pocket friendly. I totally love it.

Decent joint for a quick meal in Nana Chowk, Grant Road. The starters are really awesome - kebabs, tandoori with rumali rotis. for main course chicken patiala is awesome. Even the rice preparations are amazing esp Chicken tikka biryani and fried rice. I haven't a single
dish due to which I have been disappointed. Perhaps the best chicken tandoori in Mumbai.

This is like my second option after home.
It's clean, the staff is very friendly, and not because I'm a local.
The lights are better now after they renovated, and the menu too, but I miss the old dish chicken red and white.
I recommend the mutton kheema in the morning, but Ideals' is better.
All the mughlai dishes are a must.
And there is a special dessert delicacy here, ask for it :P
Overall it's a good peaceful place and you should definitely visit.

My first 2 attempts to taste new heros kheema were unsucessful as i went there in the evening and usually they run out of it by that time. So finally i got to taste new heros kheema and its too good. I am a big mutton kheema fan so i keep trying new places i began with mazgoans green then cecil which shut 15 years back at hughes road,olympia at colaba,delhi darbar and shaan at grant road,kyani and sassanian at metro, cafe military at fort,cafe newyork chowpatty was my favourite kheema until now as i feel new heros kheema was better in taste and quantity both, would love to try more dishes for sure. Its located below gamdevi side of skywalk.

Some places are not meant to have flashy lights, cropped up uniforms, exaggerated names of items listed on the menu. It's your daily place, the place you go after you've worked and you wanna relax and just have food without alcohol or fancy plates, its the place where you relax and talk what mortals talk about... Life.
They're supposed to be subtle, serve a simpler purpose in life and that is to serve good food even better. The rates are decent, the food is good, the roti naan and parathas live up to my (good) pre assumed notions about this place. So why would you want anything more.

I genuinely can't believe what I'm writing here, considering this joint looks like a really shady place from the outside. It's actually pretty good, with clean cutlery, albeit very oily/buttery food. The Cheese Naan is very good. Go for the Indian food here.

First Impression: It is 'The Best Restaurant' in the vicinity & gives tough competition to other restaurants for sure..For me, this is like 2nd option, when my moms not there at home..

Speaking about the restaurant, the quality of food cannot be compared to other restaurants..The quantity of each dish is not bad either..But a slight increase in rates after renovation, have brought some trouble to this resto lately..

They have successfully added many delicacies to their menu list..All of them are tasty in their own unique ways..

The main problem this restaurant has got is, that they have no parking space which is really a bad factor..but for 5-6 bikes there's no such problem, since you can park it alongside the footpath under the Sky walk..

On the Food Part..everything served here, Starters to desserts, are fabulous..
In the Mornings, Egg Bhurji, Omlettes are available..The Mutton Kheema Fry is a MUST-TRY!! It's got a unique taste & is One of the Best I've tried..It can't be really compared to most other restos with big names too..!! Have also tried their Bheja Tawa Fry which is excellent!

For lunch/dinner, to start with, Soups are a delight! Manchow, Hot-n-Sour & Lung-Fung Soups are awesome..Sweetcorn Soup is a little watery, sometimes bland, so one could even avoid it..

Tandoor items are well marinated & roasted to perfection..Chicken Tandoori, Kalimiri Kebab, Lasooni Kebab, Zafrani Kebab, Chicken Tikka & Reshmi Tikka are MUST-TRY items..

They also have a few fusion dishes..One of them is Schezwan Tandoori, which is Tandoori cooked in Schezwan sauce & served semi-dry & just like the name suggests it is really classy!! Other Chinese starters are brilliant too..Chicken 65 Dry, Chicken Lollypop (also available in Schezwan Sauce), Chicken Crispy, Chicken Manchurian Dry, Chicken Chilly Dry, Chicken Dragon Dry are the recommended ones..

For Main course, the gravy options are too many..Chicken gravies are the hot favourites..Chicken Lazeez, Chicken Tikka Handi, Butter Chicken, Murg Musallam (3-4ppl), Cheese Tawa Chicken Masala, Chicken Begum Bahar, Reshmi Kebab Masala, Chicken Lawajab are few of the 'Must Try' ones..
In Mutton gravies, Dabba Gosht, Salli Boti & Seekh Kebab Masala are Heavenly!!!
In Fishy foods, they don't have much options though, but their Prawns/Fish Masala Fry are remarkable..

Tandoori Rotis, Butter Nans, Roomali Rotis & Butter Garlic Nans are classy with these Gravies..

The Chinese section doesn't disappoint as well..but it's more of Indian version of Chinese...Fried rice, Manchurian rice, Triple Schezwan Rice are to die for..!!

They have introduced a few new dishes like the Chopper rice & Crispy Fried Rice which are so-so..Chicken Malaysian Rice isn't worth ordering..
In Noodles, Hakka Noodles & American Chopsuey are brilliant, but I found the Crispy Noodles are sometimes not crispy, so before ordering, get the waiter to check..

In the Desserts Section, Caramel Custard is 'The Best'...Dudhi Halwa is a bit too sweet, inconsistent in flavour..If you're looking for a heavy dessert, try the Royal Heroes Falooda..It's better than even Badshah's..Sadly they don't have options for flavours..I wish they had a few..

The staff is very courteous, well-behaved, always helpful..The service is fast..
Ask for suggestions if need be..Just don't try anything too fancy..

I used to eat here when I was in Mumbai last year. It's a small place, but well maintained. The staff is friendly, especially a particular waiter (don't know the name), who would make suggestions to us regarding what to choose, like a real professional, we loved the way he served us.
Coming to the food, we always ordered non-veg dishes. I tried Chicken Mumtaz, Chicken Lazeez, Chicken Angara, Chicken Lajawab and Chicken Begum Bahar. Chicken Begum Bahar has been my favorite as the dish is served in two types of gravies. As for the rest of the dishes, there's not much difference, slight modifications here and there, but all of them taste great. The tandoori roti and butter naan are to die for! I never expected such soft thin breads at such a place, but this place surely surprised me. The restaurant is not at all heavy on your pocket, everything is moderately priced and provides great value for money. For non-veg lovers, this is definitely a place to visit.

Yes it's a little heavy on fat, but it's way better on the taste buds. The chinese is tasty and the pot rice is unique. Never miss the caramel custard.

Guys we tried Chicken Lahori for the first time and it was awesome and too much spicy me and friends literally cried while eating it with butter Garlic Naan. If you are not a spicy lover i would suggest you to try it with rice and Tandoori chicken was very juicy.
