The best thing to dine here is the missal which is very spicy but delicious. About the cleanliness special mention that of not up-to the mark but scope of improvement. Best thing is about the accebility which makes it a proper but to fed you stomach when moving from interior Mumbai to exterior and too with any sides of train.
I had visited this restaurant 2 3 times..
Their service is also good and we have misal paav and paav bhaji
The taste of paav bhaji was soo tempting and yummy

Rating:4/5
Well coming down from Lower Parel station we saw this restaurant and it looked good on the outside so decided why not give a try as to how the restaurant is but the experience was truly wonderful.
The restaurant has an AC section on the first floor and a NON AC Section below. The seating arrangement is simple and elegant. All in all the ambiance and the inside environment is quite satisfactory.
Coming to the Food, we had ordered 2 plates of batata vada chatni and a plate of misal pav. The misal pav came earlier than the remaining order since the waiter told us that they make vada as and when they get the order and they serve hot which is a really good thing. The taste of the vada was excellent and the coconut chatni they served was really nice too although these guys should keep the chatni in the fridge as we found it had started to get spoilt when we had it. The chatni had become slightly sour.
Coming to the missal it was good nice taste and was served with 2 pieces of pav and some chopped onion and a piece of lemon. Although I must say that dun have high expectations from missal if you have had missal's from other places as well. we found it above average.
The only problem is regarding the cleanliness of the place which could improve. The sitting area is clean but the place where these guys make the food can be improved in a lot many ways. Overall it was a nice experience visiting the restaurant.
This restaurant is at Lower Parel. It is the best restaurant for Maharashtrian cuisine. Misal paav and Vada usal are their speciality. This place is pocket friendly.
Visited this place with few friends . it ws thr recommendation only. This place serves very good missal. Infact, it cn b rated among mumbai’s one of the best missal. Location is junction of curry rd n lower parel stn. In matter of taste it is in same league of MAMLATDAR missal. Great taste. Economical. Simle sitting & ambience. Hv AC & non-AC sections. Anothr items cud b tried r BATATA VADA , caramel custard here. Even though this place ws located across my office , I missed it so far, which also means that they keeplow profile but serves great missal. ASSAL MARATHI SWAAD
This is the best restaurants for typical maharashtrian breakfast , Misal Pav served over here has a authentic taste of Malvani tari which spices it up you can have it with curd or coconut Chutney for the light taste.
It’s an local restaurant so the service is not so good in rush hour but you can enjoy your morning and evening snacks with old Bollywood song played here very often.
Have been using Delivery services of Jai Hind since almost 6years now
Never have been a moment or instances where I would have to complain for them or their food quality
Always a joy to order
Please do try their mushroom sabji and the boondi raita
Also it to forget their aloo matar sabji
Super happy to have you near our work place :)
Today me and my frnd visited jaihind ordered mix biryani awesome taste but quantity not enough for two persons last tym i also taste dahi misal pav this was also good this restaurant btwin of cry road and lower parel near by corporate offices so location is best always crowded service is fast
The best misal pav in the nearby area. Tea is also good.
The place is next to the curry road station bridge.
Very nice place 5o have a very quick snacks as misal is always ready to be served.
As 70% of Mumbai's crowd indulges in South Indian breakfast, I too joined them and entered this 7-8 table veg resto on the junction of Currey Rd. nd Lower Parel.
The menu is filled with all breakfast, snacks, lunch items ranging from as low as poha-upma to as high as their newly introduced Pastas.
Ordered a quick ONION UTTAPPA. I was watching people coming nd goin as the uttappa took a gud 12-15 mins.
Most of the customers were ordering the MISAL PAV which I guess is good here and spicy as well. A few were enjoying medu wadas dipped in the hot sambar nd I was waiting fr my uttappa to come...
Finally when it came, my first impression was 'Crispy'.
It was nicely made with golden brown crust on the out. Filled with lots of sliced onion, the uttappa was quite heavy and filling. The sambar that came along was perfectly spiced and piping hot. It was so delicious that I finished the sambar along with first few bites of uttappa, so ordered another bowl sambar.
The coconut chutney that came along had a good tadka of red chillies in oil which made it amazingly tasty.
Definitely going back to solve the mystery behind their Misal Pav...
P.S: They also serve chai (cutting) for as low as 10 bucks...
Nice small and Cozy restaurant at curry road and lower Parel local station junction.. All the dishes are mouth watering.. However must try ones are misal pav.. Both red and white gravy pasta.. Punjabi dishes are also good..
The report card, if one needs oneAmbiance : 2.5

M-I-S-A-L - Can I give it a 9 from 5 :)
Well this is the best Missal... I don't know how you can rank it in comparison with Ladoo Samrat, (Lalbaug) or Maamledaar (Thane)
Other items are good. North Indian dishes are nothing to crave about, but again nothing to whine about. The rates are very decent considering the location. The restaurant is always crowded. The owner and the staff are nice and welcoming. Chinese dishes can be skipped. Quantity of all items are decent. Once can try Dahimisal or Vada Ussal. They do not have Tandoor rotis which is sad. All and all an okay restaurant with awesome missal.
It's the restaurant where you should not miss on the tea and the dosas. A small joint they have a/c seating too. Always crowded

I love misal pav and this is undoubtedly one of the best places that knows how to make awesome misal. Jai hind has been serving misal pav for more than 50 years now and they've been doing a great job ever since. The restaurant serves pasta too, along with the usual north indian dishes. Items are priced well. Next time skip the dosas at matunga and head for a misal. It will definitely make your taste palette happy
Veggie Review. This place may not be rated very highly for people who eat lunch here regularly. However, I can assure you if you eat here occasionally you will like it. Try the usual suspects Paneer Makhani/Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer and Yellow Dal. Get a sense of the taste then experiment.
Finally a misal in town that can clear your sinuses! It sure is sinfully oily (especially when had as breakfast) but this one sure packs a punch. You'll have to tell the waiter to give you the spicer version, else the default misal they serve is medium spicy. Spiciest misal in town, but maybe not the best.
This small restaurant serves one of the Best Misal & Usal in Town..!!
Had been here recently with a friend who stays in the same Vicinity..Reached all the way from Colaba in the Morning for trying out their Misal..
We requested the waiter to serve it hot & to make it Spicy...The Taste of the Misal itself, was Awesome!! A typical Maharashtrian type of preparation for the base curry really creates some Class!! As per our request they served us with a hot Misal plate..They usually keep a separate spicy curry ready incase someone requests..Even after being so spicy, the curry is tasty but watery..The same goes for their Usal too..!! I saw people eating Misal with Bread Butter since butter gives a unique taste & the Combo is near perfect..
Also tried their Sabudana Wada..Hard to break with a spoon..I recommend eating with use of hands..Taste wise, ok-ish..I've had better elsewhere..Tried Sheera recently..Not too greasy, not too sweet..I personally didn't like it even though my friend did..
Their Special Tea also is so classy!! It's better than few of the famous Tapri joints..
Great Marathi style Breakfast for sure..!!
The Waiters too are very Courteous & Soft Spoken...Service is good!!

No.1 for Misal Pav anytime fav.
Jai Hind Restaurant, Curry Road/Lower Parel
Jai Hind Restaurant is a very decent restaurant which is very popular in curry road, lower parel area. You will get tasty and delicious snacks and food here at pocket friendly prices. Best place for Maharashtrian Food. There is ac section also. Serving also so quick. You can go with your family and friends. My personal favorites here are Idli Misal Pav, Dahi Misal, Vada Pav, Vada Usal & Tea. Jai Hind Restaurant easily accessible from Lower Parel and Curry Road Railway Station. It's hardly 10 minutes walkable distance from this stations. Space is less but quality is really good. Liked it. Foodies go and taste.
I usually visit this place to have misal pav & sweet kachori... Yummy...
The taste is too good.... Serving also so quick ...
The misal pav is tooo good.... The price range is also reasonable....
For regular lunch goers this is a treat. Morning snacks are also available through out the day. Within 100 you have very good options to fill your belly.
Misal paav is lot loved by localities here.
All dishes above 100 are having quantity enough for 2. Quality of rice is also good. Chinese items are well cooked.
South Indian dishes need little improvement.
All in all a good budget hotel for regular office goers and middle economic class persons.
Awesome place 😃 would definitely recommend over much overrated spots around.
Jai Hind is a pure non veg restaurant famous for marine food serving both South and North Indian cuisine. Ambiance isn't much to brag about for the food quality and quantity is worth every paisa
The Misal here is awesome. Well, ots famous for its misal. i m eating misal there from my childhood. made sure to visit it during my last india trip.
Good food & place for quick bite & meeting over a cup of tea and snacks. Meal options are good as well. My personal favorites here are Idli Fry, Misal Pav & Tea.
Good joint for misal pav or vada usal.
A hidden gem in this sprawling metropolis, Jai Hind pleases the palate with spices marinated to perfection, flavors which speak to the quality of the ingredients and a friendly and sincere staff who are not afraid to make recommendations, which do not disappoint!
The misal-pav and Potato fritters’ recipes have been perfected and would be reason in itself to keep coming back. There is enough dash in the rest of the menu and adds to the heterogeneity and caters to varied tastes.
This little known eatery should be on everyone’s bucket list for anyone wishing to relish flavors as they are meant to be..
A very decent and simple restaurant which is popular locally. They have super reasonable rates. Pairing the Fried rice with thumbs up is the best combination. It isn’t always necessary to be fancy to taste good. Operating since a long time, this restaurant has certainly set is landmark.
Best place to get Marathi food for breakfast, meals. They have put AC area also do families can also visit.
Space is less but did quality is really good.
Misal is best among all.

Good place. Rates are reasonable. Menu is also wide and good food options. Also serves Maharashtrian food items. Four people can eat sufficiently at cost of INR 500/- (non air-conditioned section). This restaurant also has seperate air-condition section. Very close from Lower Parel railway station. Is also clean place to have food.
