well it was a tasty food . I ordered a veg 65 the taste was so yum still the taste in my mouth and a palak khichdi which is very hygienic for the people who are not well . food is awesome and best place to chill with friends.
They got on of the best Indian Thali in town. The restaurant is always crowded with guests coming in. The ambience is clean and comfortable. The service is good and the staff is quick. Must visit.
Ambience is quite good with a projector to watch matches!
Chicken pahadi kebab is a must try..highly recommended.
Along with it, apple chicken was great too.
Small place but worth the money.
Newly open place with variety of food dish option..
Visited in evening time and had noodles..
Noodles was good and worth of money..
Service is also good..
Our casual walk turned out to be quite a drunk affair. Realizing it was a saturday night, we started looking out for some humble options. Our search finally came to an end at Samrat.
Not quite sure about rest of the days but Samrat was far from being a family restaurant on a Saturday night.
After waiting in for around 10-15 minutes, we finally got our table.
Our intentions were quite simple - Sit, Chill and Drink. Afterall, its hard to find a place with good ambience as well as cheap beer.
Just to have something to prolong our stay, we tried out their starters.
Chicken Crispy - I guess Chicken crispy should not be judged on the basis of their taste as most of the restaurants have cracked the recipe. It needs to be judged on the basis of their crispiness. And samrat fulfills that to a certain extent.*BeerTalking*
Chicken Lollipop - The chicken was fresh and juicy. Otherwise, its just another safe dish to order as people hardly go wrong with them.*BeerTalking*
For bitings, we had Peanuts and Chakri (a bit suspicious about its freshness).*BeerTalking*
The service was really good. Despite of being crowded, the staff were prompt and courteous.
FINAL VERDICT :
I guess we have a new address to show up when we dont have money in our pockets. Samrat has a decent decor and food, good service and great value for money.
nice resturant suerb ambiance loved the place. The food over here is extremly delicious the way they present nice place to drink. The staff over here is decent i loved this place.
I was passing by and saw this place, did not look like a fancy place but the food is very tasty and staff is also very sweet. Over all a nice experience
If you are looking for some fancy place to eat, then I would not recommend you this , but if you are looking a quite place to have good food then this is a good place to enjoy with friends
Was passing by this area, saw this a place a couple of times. But finally went in yesterday. The place is not that great but the food was good. Worth a try
A very last minute place to hop into! But we weren't unsatisfied. The place is really nice to enjoy your food with some drinks as well!
Fascinated by the name - Paneer Yaki Todi, we decided to try it! The taste was brilliant!
We had chinese food which was decent too.
Lovely place!
Seen this place a many times but never gone there to eat. Yesterday had gone there with a couple of friend. I would say not a very nice place but the food is very tasty.
Wana enjoy a cricket match or take a train with some pre boozing fun Samrat is the best place near the station with good quality food and awesome taste quick service and that's all a person needs 😉 must go ...... Enjoy
I happened to visit this restaurant last evening. Although the name says its restaurant but to be very frank it's a place to enjoy drinks with food. Place is located near Boriwali station west small joint with 9-10 tables shady.
Saturday at 10:30 it was so crowded but still I managed to get table. Service is quick staff is active. Food quality was very nice. Yet reasonable.
Closing timing is 1:30 am but they closed there kitchen at 12:15 & pushed everyone before 1:15 😕
It's a Good Place to hang out with friends for food & drinks, Awesome place to Chill, I m loved it.. Kindly please visit to this place once
A very decent place for enjoying a quiet drink all alone starters are also good and you could taste the freshness of food .service to is very prompt .a worth place to visit along with your family
This place is very common among youths from colleges in borivali. Especially very famous to have beverages along with some snacks. The taste of food is also good. Locating this restaurant is bit difficult and no parking facility.
Having been to this place a couple of Times previously over the years, the experience this time wasn't any different. The ambience and seating is excellent. Service is quick. The.guests do cause some ruscus but it's pleasant nonetheless. The 2 main highlights of the place were the close-to-retail pricing of alcohol and the other being the fact that even the vegetarian food was good.
Coming to the food, chicken bosena kebab and banjara kebab were the star of the show!
Succulent pieces of chicken marinated in a,perfectly spicy masala. Yumm!
Chicken satay was a regular affair as was with the veg spring roll. The cheese paneer tikka kebabs were excellent.
Murg musallam and chicken PeshawarI were again very amazing!
The masala bhaat had an unique recipe and was liked by everyone!
Paneer tikka masala was equally keeping up with the rest of the fair.
Overall a Highly recommend place for some booze and chicken for an evening with friends, which would not burn a hole in your pocket.
Only place near Borivali station which serves non veg. In a predominantly gujrati locality, it was quite difficult to find good non veg food, but this place came to our rescue. Small menu to select from but quite good food. Visited number of times. But not recommended for families as it feels more like a bar than a restaurant.
best place for a quick drink. Ask for vijay anna or saahu. Polite staff.
I have had many client meetings, reunion, and get together. The taste is good. The crowd is good. It gives a family restaurant vibe.
In my overall experience I will only recommend Indian. I have tried continental and Chinese but was not a fan of it.
A good place specially for Jain food and do not miss out on thali's they are great.
Absolutely delicious Gujrati Thali! Went on a recommendation from a local guide and was not disappointed. The food was too quality, reasonably priced and delicious. The Sev Puri shots were a group favourite also!
Food was really tasty. Early evening only snack meals available. Go after 1900 for full menu.
Good vegetarian food. Cost for each thali is around 600. Parking available
It was an unique experience, starting from the service to the food itself. We have ordered the gujrati thali which is enormous with a variety of items and unlimited servings. Almost everything we had was delicious. Serving was generous and except the desserts, you could ask for food as many times as you want.
Food is excellent, their gujrati thali is great.
Its a very pleasant place to have lunch with your family and friends and a great taste of variety of dishes 😉
Go for it and eat !

Samrat was a very pleasant discovery on the streets of Mumbai... Really wanted to have Gujrati cuisine and this place was superb in terms of quality of food, taste, service and also ambience. The staff were extremely polite and helpful.. and the amazing food made the experience world class!
I went here for lunch after years and was happy to see that the food still tastes delicious and the staff is still very attentive. A definite recommendation to anyone looking for a good vegetarian place to eat
After almost 17 years I revisited the place with my kids...... really amazing they still have the best in class vegetarian food......
I love the Chunda...... simply mouthwatering...
The second best is " The Samrat Pulav"
You can always select some gravy along with it it can be blend with Mushroom or with spicy Dal or mushroom Kadai..... 😋
Even the south Indian dish they serve is well placed in taste and flavour
Not to forget the Pav bhaji is ..... classic.
They have a different taste altogether.
Hygienic and well maintained.....
This restaurant deserves the highest praise! The food was absolutely amazing, and the staff went above and beyond by not only serving but also explaining how to savor every flavor of Indian cuisine. Their friendliness and guidance made the dining experience truly exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the world of Indian cuisine!
