Nothing to add... But I must say it's truly delightful to visit this place and enjoy to chit chat with the OWNER MR. GOPAL RAO..
Went to this extremely small snack joint as throughout matunga you can face parking issues on weekends, so after hoping for 1/2 hour the only lane we ended up with parking was this.
Though they had very limited menu but quality of sambhar and chutney is extremely delicious compared to other well known outlets.
We tried idli, which was nice and pipping hot.
Wada sambhar, crispy and fresh.
Onion masala dosa which was very good nicely stuffed with yummy potato sabji.
We ended our refreshments with some pipping hot filter coffee which was extremely strong, aromatic and very flavourful.
Prices are very affordable and don't forget to buy there readymade sambhar masala which is very reasonable and tastes good.
A really simple place, serving simple authentic South Indian food. The first time I ate here, I just had the butter sada dosa which was cheap and really good. The chatni here is much better than many of the South Indian food joints I have had from. The chatni powder is really amazing and its just like the home made powder that they serve in Kerala or Tamil Nadu. I have become a regular customer here thanks to their food and good nature.
Was shopping in Matunga with mom the other day at Nalli's and that's when my hunger pangs kicked in. Just next to Nalli's was a small Udipi restaurant with around 7-8 tables and absolutely empty. We were a little skeptical at first but nevertheless decided to give it a shot since I was in no mood hunting for food. The place was small as I mentioned but hygienic.
We quickly ordered for our food and after a slightly long wait came in the RAWA ONION DOSA ordered by my mom. And the dosa was totally worth the wait. It was excellent - fresh and crisp. We finished it in less than 3 minutes after its arrival. The lady who manages the pace later mentioned why the dosa took longer than usual since it was important to leave the batter standing for a few minutes to get the right acidity in the batter. It showed how careful she was in serving nothing but good food to her customers. We were impressed.
By the time we were done with the dosa, came in the BUTTER MYSORE MASALA UTTAPAM that I had ordered for. Although we thought the Rawa Dosa had our stomachs filled and we may not be able to finish the Uttapam but this one vanished from our plate again within minutes. The Mysore masala red chutney used made the Uttapam spicy and the generous use of butter made it absolutely tasty. It was crispy outside and soft inside and totally delicious.
We ended our meal with a FILTER COFFEE which was spot on.
Definitely worth a visit if you are in the vicinity and want to try some fresh South Indian food.

The whole aura in here was filled with only positivity.
Starting from the entrance with the Rangoli, the entire staff welcoming with smile and greeting us.
We were given pan shots as a welcome drink to taste.
We had ordered mendu Vada idli sambar and filter coffee.
The mendu Vada was nice crisp and not at all oily, must say I had never eaten any mendu Vada which felt like no oil at all.
The idli was nice fluffy and soft.
The authentic breakfast was served on pan leafs, the coffee tasted wowwwwwwww. And the pan shots were also a must try.
Surely if ur around please visit here.
A 10/10 for the entire team
Had ghee podi idli and lunch on banana leaf. Both the dishes were great with gold proportions of food being served and the staff was courteous as well. Humble place with affordable and tasty food for anyone who loves South Indian food.
I have heard a lot about this place from my colleague and decided to give it a try. The ambience and vibe is okay. We had Dil kush dosa here which was good. Dosa had a generous layer of mayo and cheese over it. The flavours were goood. Service is also okay like we had to wait for 30 mins for our order but food was good. The place is good when it comes to food.

The place is good it's a perfect south indian restaurant and pure veg and taste was also good
Decent south Indian. Try thali, it's good. Not a place for leisure seating...eat...move out..
incredibly delicious and authentic south Indian food, filter coffee and ghee podi idli are a must try.
It is called as ANNAJI Restraunant near Giri trading house Matunga. Vadai was too crispy, less oil served hot along with garlic tomatoe chutney..we had Vazhakai bajji along with filter coffee. Hotel was clean, food served in minutes. An ideal southindian restraunant in Mumbai
Looking for genuine South Indian stuff then do visit this place in Matunga East. Ignore the ambience and concentrate on the food.

Tasty South Indian delicacies at very reasonable prices. The traditional drinks- nannari, kokum are delicious and not over-sweetened. The filter coffee is really good. All in all, a cafe to visit.
