Owner ,old Sardar Ji is very warm ..he comes to takes order himself and when needed serve too.Feels like having food at my grandpaa's .he might sound little rude at times but dont judge him by it .simple ,homemade food .good quality for the price .
Perfect place to satiate your craving for delicious punjabi home made food. This is a humble place run by a very adorable punjabi uncle who will remind you of your grandpa. This is comfort food at its best. Do try makka di roti and saron da saag, you - it’s the best I’ve had in Bombay so far.
For me this place is synonymous with Ghar ka khana🙏🏻😊. Very cost effective, delicious and hygienic. Truly a pocket friendly place. Nothing beats "saste mein badhiya khana" theory. And it is very important to have such places too. Great option for college students and daily ordering.
Best place to eat delicious & hygienic food.. loved it ✌🏻will recommend all who love to have tasty and punjabi kind of food.. thank you guru da dhaba🙏🏻
If u are a punjabi food lover, u have to visit this place.. Superb dals, makai roti and sarson da saag and a courteous owner. No frills but authentic food
If u r hungry to have good ghar ka khana , this place is for you.. they will serve you like u r eating at home, the taste the feel everything is so homely u will love it. From roti to sabzi to raita everything is good. Very cheap too 🤪
One of the best punjabi food you will get here authentic reasonable with lots of love in my knowledge this is the only place where you get homely tast
Guru Da Dhaba is the go to place to eat ghar ka khana. It's not fancy, their rates are not fancy but their food is authentic Punjabi home-cooked food without any frills. Have been eating here since I was a kid, and just like home food, you won't find completely standardised commercial recipes. One day will have slightly more salt and the other day chilli but still perfect. Highly recommended dishes - Pakoda Kadi, Aloo Gobhi, Kali Dal, Paneer Bhurji, Mixed Vegetable. Their Chaas is brilliant! Must must have. If you want to have clean ghar ka khana, go for it. Just don't expect customer service, boxed packaging because that is not the restaurant concept, it's a dhaba, so please treat it like a dhaba and forgive the frills. :)
Looks like Guru da dhaba is back with taste and quality. We hv been having food from this place since many years , in between the quality went down. But Since last couple of months whatever we ordered, was very satisfying . Thanks for the improved quality. Rajma , chana masala, rotis , dals are really good. I haven't had better karela masala fry than this place, it's totally different. It's small place but you get homely food and easy on stomach .
Taste speaks above all....hot freshly prepared food..not oily or too spicy..can be consumed everyday with equal fondness..my all time favourite
Best food.. Very Tasty & Hygienic 👌🏻
I really want to prefer everyone to go and taste at least once.. you will never disappoint.. Try Kadi & Rajma 😋
Good home cooked meal. We ordered Palak Chana, chapatis, Aloo paratha and methi paratha. Everything tasted great. The parathas were delicious.
Food- Perfect mix of masalas for your punjabi taste buds, 100% homely and pocket friendly.
Must have- I usually have the thali as you can choose the two vegetables of your choice and that's awesome!!
Look & Feel - A Simple and homely Dhaba sitting in a flat in lokhandwala market, The owner of the place and a very friendly dog at the venue gives it a perfect punjabi dhaba feel.
tasty food, but always makes mistakes in home delivery food
too tasty, but always late. sometimes worth waiting for , but when you're too hungry....
food is mostly good here but the delivery need to be good...it always disappoints.. :(
I was going to rate this place at 1star. Coz they delayed the order by 1 hour and they weren't very concerned about it. But when the food arrived and I had my first morsel, I actually forgave them like God.
The quality is amazing and quantity enough for 2 people/serving. Don't order any curd items coz till the time they reach you, it turns sour.
Food 5/5 (If you like authentic home style food)
Value for money 4/5
Pro tip: Your order will be late by minimum 30 minutes. Order accordingly.
For the people who are complaining for late food delivery. So read carefully, I am writing this on behalf of that sweet old man who this guru da Shana alone. Not even aware everyone's writing reviews about delivery service. Commenting here isn't worth as doesn't know what social media is. he must be constantly busy figuring out how to keep his restaurant open and rent his half the p property for some small business. if your place is within 1 to 1.5 kms area rather than ordering online you should walk till the Dhaba and bring it. that way you will get your answer for late food deliveries and will get a chance to meet sweet old man aswell. which none of you might be interested in doing.
Very Good food but only require proper packaging
This is pure home food. They have a short menu card. Students staying away from home can try this to get that feeling of home food.
Low on spices , money and okayish in taste and quality, it’s just that you will get to eat simple healthy home made food.
Just love this place . It’s like such homely feeling Sardar Ji there is always cheering and making people eat great food . It’s such simple amazing and best food in lokhndwala sadly veggy friendly one of my favourite 😘😘 such a mini Punjab feel
Quantity is less so call wisely
Between a long day at work & early next morning I quickly caught up a friend at Guru da Dhaba. Intending to grab a quick, wholesome meal that also felt like home.
The place is on the first floor of the building & is a flat converted into an eating joint. The people are warm & homely. The food is vegetarian & very home like. Simple & flavorsome. Tried the standard - saag, rajma & paneer. Did not disappoint. But the high light was this meeta paratha with jaggery & coconut shavings. Yummy.
Very reasonably priced.
No ambience worth talking about.
But seemed hygienic.
And there’s an adorable pet stray who was hanging around very sweetly.
All in all good for a vfm, no-frills home cooked meal.
Amazing food !! Please do visit this place if you missing typical North Indian food ! Everything is home cooked and it’s kind of aunty ka kitchen ! It’s so so good !!!!! Ghar ka Khana ek dum ! Rajma, Sarso da saag , chaas everything is good ! Do visit !!
Good quantity with great test
When it comes to vegetarian punjabi food they are second to none.
A historical place too and the serving takes a bit of a while because they cook it there and there right at the spot once the ordering is done.
Ms Kaur who handles it has brought hospitality along with taste and flavour to the restaurant.
One of the best home Iike food experience.
Awesome food. Completely homemade kinds. Ambience is not that great. But the food is amazing
Authentic Taste like homemade foods & Rates are pocket friendly too, as per locality & other hotels or restaurants available.
