Very nice restaurant for sea foods and malvani foods. The ambience is quite good and spacious.The foods are very spicy and tasty. Malvani chicken is the best to eat here. Ordered home delivery twice from here in the last couple of weeks. Their mutton biryani is superb; theย mutton pieces areย tender and succulent, unlike many other places where the mutton is usually not tender. The other dishes we ordered (chicken crispy, bhendi fry, chicken mughlai) were all good. Whenever I visited the restaurant in the past, I relished their fish thali or prawns thali; the quantity is so much, that you literally struggle towards the end.
Very affordable restaurant. Good sea food but not typical malvani taste even though the outlet claims it. Sizzlers is also outstanding. The quantity of chinese food is fulfilling. This outlet is a treat for non vegetarians and for vegetarians you could try out Veg biryani or thali. Veg biryani is really tasty. Restaurant looses points on ambience. Overall a good value for money restaurant.

Fishy much? Think of Sadiccha. This place has the best bombil fry and fish curry. Besides, all the seafood available here in incredible. Wouldnโt say the same about other meat.

I must admit that I discovered this gem of a restaurant super late. A strong recommendation from a colleague & 10 of us ended up here for Lunch.
The ambience is very basic with fixed table+bench seating. It's divided into a AC n non-profit AC section.
I'd suggest steer clear of the water here. Drink directly from the bottled water.
We called for Thalis, mutton, chicken, prawn, surmai & pomfret. 3 portions of fried bombil as well
The bombil is served hot, crispy rava coated fish n soft on the inside
Their Thalis consist of chapati, rice, Sol Kadi,veg dish (we had chole), rassa(common fish curry minus any fish) & a fried portion of fish.
I chose the tisrya/shellfish Thali. The shellfish were fresh enveloped in a thick feiry coconut malvani masala. I devoured all of it while sneaking into everyone's Thalis.
All the fish was super fresh & cooked beautifully. Colleagues who chose chicken & mutton equally enjoyed their meals. Each Thali had a distinct flavour & tasted different from the other.
Minus points for their lacklustre sol kadi. It was way too tart, could definitely do with more coconut milk.
Also a portion of fish in the rassa would make this a great Thali.
Going back? Most definitely yes!!
This place is close to the station road... The ambience just adds to the taste of the food. The waiters are warm to converse with as well as ready to help. Getting back to the most important category... The price is worth the taste and quantity. In fact it is very reasonable. And the quantity is massive. Had ordered #peppergarlicburntrice. One plate was shared by 3 good eaters. You get all types of cuisines here. But if you are a fan of rice roti and Indian dishes this place is a must try.

Variety of food in the menu is decent for all veg, non-veg(Chicken and seafood).
Service is a bit slow when the place is crowded, otherwise decent waiting time to get your food on the table.
Taste wise seafood is really nice, especially prawns koliwada. Bombil fry tastes good, but sometimes it's not crispy enough.ย The Chinese menu lives up to the title of Indian Chinese. The chicken is fresh whenever you go for it. Both dry and gravy dishes of chicken are really nice.
The Veg food will also satisfy the expectations. Comes in good quantity. Paneer, Potato dishes are nice. You can go for Chinese, even if you are vegetarian.
You also have the option of Thali system in Veg, Chicken, seafood and egg thalis. Thalis have a really good quantity and quality of food.
Didn't get a chance to try any dessert.
Overall it will definitely satisfy your hunger as well as the heart.

The best place to visit for a a good budget meal. I have been there many times and I suggest the Prawns Masala and any fried fish. The service is fast and the ambiance is great. Price is great and quantity is reasonable. This restaurant is a must try if fish is what you want :)
Sadichha A good and decent Restaurant located in Vakola!! This Restaurant is Exactly Besides another Big Restaurant Name Santosh.
Had been here to have Normal Decent Dinner with friends. We ordered Butter Chicken, Associated Indian Breads and Hot Sizzing Browine. The presentation of the browine was Amazing. And the Taste of other food was too good.

I went to this hotel with my family and we ordered thalis.
1) Bombil Thali 2) Surmai Thali 3) Chicken Tandoori and veg paneer with rotis. The place is average however the food was very good and tasty. Fish wear fried perfectly .It took half hour to arrived the thali . the service again avarage . I definitely visit again for food.

Being right next door to my office and home, this kinda is the "by default go to place" for us. Over the last five years, have seen it grow from a tiny non AC room to decently sized two rooms and a top floor (yet to sit there). This place could be a hit for Malvani food lovers who aren't looking at denting their wallets. So here's a quick review summing my five years of contribution to this business:
Hits which receive a 5/5 rating and are a must-try:
1) Bombil fry (spectacular - we often go just for this)
2) Surmai and Bangda Thali (fresh AF fish)
3) Chicken lollipops
4) Chicken Crispy
5) Fried rice (chicken, egg, and mix)
Misses: Order at own risk
1) Kebabs - while the marination is decent, the cuts are not that great. Too dry and chewy on all occasions
2) Sizzlers - it's primarily a Malvani--Desi Chinese restaurant. Why would you even?
What works:
- Portions are large and hearty
- Service is swift (disagree with earlier reviews on this), courteous, and polite (4/5 in my experience). Heck, those boys feel like family now.
- The fish is super fresh. ALWAYS.
- Affordable
- Their delivery service - they've rarely taken more than 30 minutes to deliver and accept orders till 10.30 PM ๐๐. Then again, I am practically next door.
- The regular Desi Chinese stuff especially chicken lollipops and chicken crispy :D
What doesn't work (would have easily rated them a 4.0 if not for these):
- Consistency of taste (apart from fish thalis and bombil fry - that they've never screwed up). Especially with their Biryanis and kombdi vade which taste really really good on the days Fate decides to smile at you. And sometimes taste like you've wronged Fate badly and She's avenging that.
- I really don't like their kokum kadi. It comes with the thalis and kombdi wade. But I drink it anyways. Cause one simply doesn't throw away kokum kadi.
- Their chicken--mutton preparations taste like the meat has been boiled prior to simply adding to the curry later. Drives me nuts when that happens.
Haven't tried anything vegetarian here so won't comment on that ๐. If you're a seafood lover and in the vicinity, do stop by!
Just besides the popular Santosh Lunch home, Hotel Sadichha offers great Malvani food (don't bother too much about the rest of what's on the menu) at decent prices. They also deliver even a single food item to your home (provided you live in the vicinity), and are extremely courteous when it comes to taking orders on the phone. The quality of food differs occasionally but it is never average. The place is usually not crowded, unlike other eateries in the Vakola/Kalina area.
I used to visit this place everyday with my boyfriend almost every day for craving for Malvani and South Indian food, specially crab Sukha, prawns thali, egg fried rice, dal tadka yumm yumm, the staff is very courteous ( I guess Dinesh was his name ) if not forgot the Restaurant owner always supported the feedback we gave, just recently my sis had ordered some take away food from this place I must say having food after 4 years from this place makes no difference with the quality and taste, I got emotional in remembering the good day I had.... Awesome food with good service only you need to wait for a long time during evenings as the restaurant is always full

The Bombil Fry was a little soggy, more than I like, but that could be because of ordering in.
The good part, and what earns then an extra 0.5, was the Surmai Curry, which was quite decent and actually above what I expected from this simple joint. It wasn't thick, but it was perfectly spiced and went very well with steamed rice. And the quality of the Surmai was also very good, they might just get another order from me sometime.
Very hungry on way to another office and I decided to have lunch somewhere on the way. Searching for another I came acrosd this one.

I've been to Sadichha a couple of times in the past and I've always had an amazing experience there. Due to prior commitments that day, we had missed lunch so we decided to track a restaurant that would be open at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Lucky for the 4 of us, 10 mins after we got into the restaurant the manager pulled down the shutter half way. We chose to sit in the AC section of the hotel (obviously) and couldn't decide what to eat. We finally settled on starters and kebabs. My cousin ordered a Chicken Crispy, my aunt a Sheek Kebab, my sister a Pudina Kebab while I ordered an Angara Kebab. The Chicken Crispy came in first. There were fairly large bite size pieces of crunchy chicken coated in a delicious schezwan sauce. As we were gobbling it up the waiter arrived with the Sheek Kebab. This item was a let down as it looked shop bought and was dry n bland. The Pudina Chicken was delicious. Beautiful bite size pieces coated in an aromatic and flavourful green marinade. Finally the Angara Kebab arrived. That as well was yummy. Large portion of chicken in a red marinade, it was cooked to perfection. Love their food as always and for Rs. 800 it was a pretty decent meal.
Just walked in to satisfy my sea food cravings ...surprised to experience nice ambience and courteous staff ...the pomfret was juicy and well cooked ...the best part of meal were Tandoori Parantha's ...soft yet crispy ...full marks for these parantha's.
However chicken was not soft and juicy ...the most shocking point was that place served above avg / good food yet was empty ???

After an exhaustive start to the day which consisted of driving all over Bombay for hours I ended up at Sadichha close to 1 PM. The place was completely empty but came recommended by countless friends for its seafood. Its easy to miss and I realised that I had driven past it hundreds of times and never noticed it. Today however it provided welcome refuge from the afternoon heat.
The AC section was set to a pleasant 20 degrees and made us feel relaxed instantly. The decor was surprisingly decent with polished wooden furniture paired with yellow on the tables and walls. A solitary window let in natural light which made the room feel open and fresh. We were immediately served water and the waiter came to take our order(in all fairness there were no other tables vying for his attention).
We ordered a bombil fry and a tisriya(don't know how its spelled) dry and a prawn biryani. We were informed that the savoury molluscs weren't available but upon seeing our dejected faces they actually went to a neighbouring restaurant and got us some! The food took about 15 mins to come and was worth it.
The whole days toil finally seemed to bear fruit. The tisriya were decently sized and the masala it was made in was divine. The bombil was delicious and had a unique taste but was a little low on quantity but not a big deal. The biryani was fragrant but not amazing like the other two dishes. Along with each dish a tiny bowl of fish curry sans the fish was served which was extremely good and authentic. We used normal chapattis to gobble everything up. In the end they served us hand bowls to wash our hands(every restaurant whose food you eat with your hands should) and the bill was less than 500 rupees.
By the time we were leaving a few more patrons had arrived and begun ordering their regular meals. If I lived near this restaurant I would definitely visit it every week if not more frequently. Its good to see restaurants serving up fare that can compete with places like Mahesh Lunch Home and the likes but at a fraction of the cost. They also serve sizzlers and Chinese food but we didn't try it this time. Maybe next time.

Hotel Sadichha Vakola! A very good place for Malvani style fish. Being a resident of Vakola i have been dining at Sadichha for many years now. The fish servered here is without doubt fresh and delicious. I speacially love the taste of the malvani curry they serve with the various types of fish thalis, the sukat served with the thali is slightly different than many other typical Maharashtrian sea food joints it has the twist of Garlic which makes it a little distinct! The crispy fried paplet is just amazing, my personal best choice.
Well apart from the seafood menu they also have Chinese and other running items but i would recommend sea food here. Just beside Sadichha there is another seafood restaurant the Santosh lunch home, a very good choice for Manglorean cuisine.
Over all the service is good and staff attentive. Well recommened if you are in and around Vakola Santacruz.
