So, Kokan Kinara! If you ask me it offers some delicious Kokan homestyle food. I think this place is quiet under rated to be honest. Situated in Sahyadri Nagar, Charkop, it's pretty feasible to find. Let's directly move on to what we had:
//Chicken Sagoti - 4.5/5.0
It was a homestyle chicken curry. A proper Maharashtran would definitely have more knowledge than me in this department but still I enjoyed it. Chicken was well cooked and curry had a Kokan nudge in it, making it super spicy.
//Paneer Tikka Masala - 4.4/5.0
Old school paneer dish huh? Well paneer tikka was pleasurable. It had a smokey flavor and was moderately spicy.

Yes! You read it right. I know that it's wierd and y'll think I am a bit crazy to review a chapati. I would like to address that majority of restaurants don't serve whole wheat Roti, which is a much healthier option than Tandoori Roti. So, being a health conscious person I appreciate this service and would like to request other restaurants to include it as well.
Coming to the conclusion, as I said before this place is great in offering flavorsome homestyle Kokan food. Service staff is helpful and friendly. I think seating capacity is a bit limited as a result weekends are overcrowded here. Seating is comfortable and Ambience is decent.

I happen to be an occasional customer of this restaurant for more than 5 years & till date. As a vegetarian, I truly enjoyed the vegetarian dishes even though, they are limited despite being more focused oriented in non-veg dishes as my rest of family members turns out to be quite non-vegetarians. As for casual dining or family dining, I recommend them to go little early as they become quite saturated from 8:30 pm onwards, especially during holidays & weekends. The availability of seats are quite limited due to the area of space is insufficient in terms of the family more than 4 & above at times. You may face difficulties to get a seat if you arrive at very peak hrs around 9 pm onwards. Also to be noted that if you are ordering delivery or even inside the restaurant, you need to be patient as they cook the food fresh after the order is placed regardless of any day as a matter of fact. The higher consumption of time goes more towards the preparation of food rather than the location in terms of delivery especially. Lastly, I'm not a big fan of dining in restaurants personally, the ambience was satisfactory when I dine with my family. Due to the blending of veg & non-veg dishes on the menu, It's very convenient. The quantity of food is highly sufficient for one person quite easily & the quality of food was simply amazing to describe, after all, it is the actual basic reason that I keeping coming back to this restaurant. Overall, I & my family have thoroughly enjoyed the cuisines of this restaurant for years together & till date. Friendly tips for fellow family users or casual diners - avoid going in peak hrs or holidays instead I strongly recommend you order food for delivery or take away as per own personal preference. However, I personally found it's quite frustrating at times during peak hrs but however I got the seat in spite of it despite the waiting time is really high, kindly contact restaurant before you reach for seat availability at least. It will save time & money rather showing frustration on the hopeless matter as it's a small restaurant in capacity. The last tip for delivery - order 1 hr early prior to your dining time, it would make easier for both sides not to face any hassles in delivery & I never faced any issues so far yet as I ordered the food on delivery on an occasional basis as I speak from personal experience. I hope this tip helps you, folks, out there. My personal quote - "Best food is rather prepared fresh & eaten than eating a persevered food & paying unplanned medical bills instead." I only found this more stomach-friendly compared to any restaurants I've experienced & faced so no issues so far yet. @Konkan Kinara, I really enjoyed your friendly hospitality while serving food which is indeed a rare sight to see as a composure & quality of food is incredible in taste as you have maintained throughout the years I've known. Keep up the good work & best wishes, someday hopefully, you may expand your horizons further in upcoming future. We had dinner here once and its near to Charkope Village Bus Stop. Here queue there on special occasions so you need to wait outside or need to book in advance. They are special in Malvani Authentic Foods. We tried here last 31st december but due to huge queue we needed to go to Splash by skipping this. So we went there later. That time also queue there but we got 2 seats due to couple seating was empty and other people which are with family were kept waiting though they came before us and needed more seatings. So we thanked them to give us seats as we got seats as soon as we enterred and asked for 2 seats. Surrounding and decors inside was good and Clean and hygienic. Also service was fast and Manager Response also smooth. We planned to have fish thali to taste our home style food and also decided to have chinese. So we had first Chicken Manchow Soup and Chicken Crunchy Starter. Yes it was tasty and crispy also. Starter was good, tasty and crispy. Then we orderred Fish Thalis, Surmai and Ponfret Thali. We tasted it and its really awesome. Really malvani style preparation and taste. Authentic fish curries and fish fries. Quantity, quality was good, service also good and polite and preparation was also nice. Prices are little bit high. So +1 for quality, +1 for quantity, +1 for service and manager response, +1 for Surroundings and Decors, -1 for pricing as little bit more. So overall 4 stars. So soon revisiting here for having more fish items and this time we will trt chicken main courses and Roti Naan like that.

Test is good but not very nice. Somewhere Konkani test is not coming with their food. SpicyNess is missed somewhere . Food delivery is good but prices is little high
It isn't a fine fine but the food is awesome and authentic. Try the sea food, crab masala and everything tandoori, like tiger prawns or fish. It's like gramma's taste. The place is decent they still need to work on the hygiene and cleanliness but you can always try a take away.
Great place to be at with family if you love non-vegetarian food.. I went here many times and never got disappointed with the food taste and service... The price of food items is also reasonable...
Delicious Seafood at a good price.
This Sunday we ordered some prawns koliwada which was yummy and fried promfret which was scrumptious.
We have had other good dishes as well.

The food here has been consistently good and the dishes have good flavour. Not a high end place - the ambiance is very average and outdated. The service is nothing to boast off but the waiters do recognize you as they have very few patrons. Both times I went there the food was good but the restaurant was hardly full. Will definitely visit again for the food and it is reasonably priced too.
Really surprised to see 1 rating for this place. I was in a mood to try any restaurant on my way and ended up at this place. Wanted to play safe and ordered palak paneer, Sol kadhi, vade, chapati, tandoori roti, and I will put a bet for palak paneer if even a Punjabi restaurant in Mumbai is that good with the given price tag. I really don't care for staff a lot of times as extreme consumerism has screwed us, we need to shake ourselves out of colonial hangover. Find good food, find the ethnicity not the mugged up words at McDonald's or KFC counter. I will go back again to check other dishes, there is some honesty in the food served here. The guy who served us was extremely polite. Also like Europe even in India people should start paying 25% tip and then expect a service similar to Taj.
Authentic malvani preparations. They serve excellent fish dishes. Tiger prawns are yumm. Also try their dry mutton dishes in malvani style...it was a yum experience being there.

We went there searching for a seafood place.
We didn't have much hope after noticing that we were the only people there.
The order was given.
A few mins later, we could hear the kitchen staff whisper a question which was promptly presented to us :- how spicy do you want the fried fish and crab masala. We asked for spicy.
Then the food arrived and I was in heaven. I don't think I will ever like konkan food anywhere else now.
This is very old restaurant and the ambience is very nice and cozy its very small but the interior is good..the food is tyipical malavani food..i justr love the taste ..you can have sea food here as they are expert in it and also try for kombadi wade very famous here ..and dont forget ot have special dish at the end ..yes solkadi.........plz do visit here
Located in Charkop, this is one of the very few restaurants in the area which specializes in Konkani and Gomantak food.
Their specialty is Fish and they do a good work at it. Mutton and Chicken items are worth the look as well.
If you are veggie, I would advice you to stay away from the place, since there is nothing much to offer expect paneer items which taste the same irrespective of what they are listed on the menu.
Service is decent but needs improvement, would suggest to go to this restaurant since the delivery time is very slow.

When I used to have Non-Veg (currently I have turned Veg) there were very few restaurant which impressed me with their fish preparations. We Maharashtrians want the perfect blend of spices and tang on our FRESH FISH with shallow frying technique to give that crisp flesh and luscious tender fish meat. This restaurant serves exactly this ways. Small place so you will have to wait for the Sunday lunch but it worth the wait. No alcohol served so I suggest grab a bud at home and then relish the feast. Shell Fish, Pomfrets and Bombay duck shallow fry is a must to order

Now a days most of the restaurants tagged specialized in Mavani food are just show offs. They charge you more than what they have cooked for entire restaurant and still the dish tastes bad. I had given up on the Malvani restaurants long ago till I came across this food joint.
This small hotel located in kandiwali west. I had been there with my uncle,aunty and my family members.
The restaurant is decent and cozy.
They serve thali (types of Fish , chicken, mutton). But we preferred different sea food dishes and rice bhakari to start with
We ordered Fish fingered pomfret. It took them hardly ten minutes to serve it on table. boneless pomfret pieces soaked in red sauce and deep fried with green chutney tasted lovely. I have never eaten this kind of pomfret ever in my life.
Bangada fry , prawns masala, Surmai curry was nicely cooked. Perfectly blended with spices and evenly marinated.
The different thing I tasted here was Solkadhi, it has hint of Jeera which was giving it a unique taste.
After having this solkadhi I have started adding jeera regularly to this recipe at home.
Overall experience is good and changed my perception about the Malvani restaurants.

It's authentic Malvani food restaurant. I enjoyed many malvani dishes here. Fish curry or fry both are mouth watering. Also you can get chicken of malvani style. Quantity is also satisfactory. Service is humble and fast.
If you are konkani or malvani food lover then you must visit this place.
Some different observation - if you can read Marathi, then you should read their Marathi Menu card, it's entertaining.
I have one suggestion that, they are serving such delicious kokani food, then why not 'Tandalachi Bhakari' Malvani food is incomplete without bhakari. Pls add that in your menu.
We had dinner in this hotel yesterday, just arrived here without any reference and ordered the menu. We had Prawns Tawa and Chicken Sukkha and it was served with authentic Maharashtrian taste (and not the manner in which the rest of the nonveg hotels serve these dishes by the North Indian preparation)

It's really good for Non-Veg dishes. I enjoyed Chiken Kolhapuri and Tandoori Chicken. All other dishes are also good. You have go for lunch or dinner or a quick brunch.
Food is good and is famous for its sea food. Had ordered Surmai fry and chicken chilli. Should try main course with Malvan Vade (Puri) it goes awesome with main course in gravy.
It is one of the best restaurant for seafood lovers and Non veg multicuisine. Amazing food preparation and when you ate the food you will feel like that you are having homemade food.

As soon as u enter,u smell seafood...had gone for lunch with a friend..food is average...at first we thought its a bit overpriced, but wen the food arrived,quantity was good...staff is good. The fish tasted good, fresh and crunchy. I will go back again to check other dishes, there is some honesty in the food served here. The guy who served us was extremely polite.
