If u wanna go light on your pocket yet have some lip smacking food then central restaurant is a go to place.
The tandoori, lollipops, dabba gosht, butter chicken and biryani and to end it all with a caramel custurd.
The ambience is okaish and service tip toe.
At central food is the centre of attraction
A best place for seekh kebabs and tandoori roti. The place is also best for all types of non veg items like chicken rolls and pattice. The ambience is also good but always crowded as this is specialty of this palce and location. I will recomend all to try seekh paratha and chicken tandoori with roti.
This is one of the best places in Mumbai if you want to have some really delicious food at a very less cost! I've been to this place many a time, with my friends.
I would rate this place on the following basis:
*Food Experience:
Butter Chicken and Naan (4.5/5)- The butter Chicken here is really tasty and the quantity is quite good for the price charged for this dish. The naan is tasty as well and it'll get you filled.
Chicken Tandoori(4/5)- The Chicken Tandoori was Yumm!
*Service(5/5):
The staff here is polite and the service here is quick enough. We've never had any issue with their service in all the times we've been here.
*Ambience(3/5): The ambience here is okayish, that's all I can say! They have an AC Room upstairs so you can sit there in peace and have your meal.
My rating for this place would be a 5 star as the food here tastes good, the quantity is amazing and the service here is pretty quick.
The next time I visit this place I would love to try the Chicken Kepsa!
If you're craving kebabs and curry, this is the place to go. The mutton kebabs were a bit dry, but tasted really good. The egg bhurji and chicken tikka curry were good as well, really spicy. The service is quick and the food is worth it. Would certainly recommend muhglai lovers to try out this place!
Great food with great taste at reasonable prices. Ambiance is not that great. And service is also ok. But the food is great. Had tandoori twice here and impressed me both times.
Food : 4/5 - Angara Chicken was really hot as it should be . Chicken roll was awesome with really flavourful chicken.
Custard to top it all off was really creamy.
Service :5/5 - Super efficient
Ambience: 3/5 - Could have been cleaner but generally like most of the restaurants around in the place
The place is quite good. I went with one of my school friend as were hungry at 12 midnight. And it's the month of ramzaan so we thought of having good food.
We ordered Malaysian Rice. It's the perfect combination of fried rice and little bit noodles. There are 3 sections in this dish. A plain Chicken fried rice with schezwan chicken fried rice followed by hongkong fried rice. They also provide 3 chicken fry pieces with gravy too.
It was so delicious and yumm. People should visit this place and have Malaysian Rice here. It's just amazing.

This hotel is located in marine lines.
Placement is good along with AC & Non AC.
Service is provided very fast.
They are polite to talk.
We have order chicken lollipop and hungama Dish.
It was decorated with 3 different colors .
It was awesome.
You can go and try.
Pocket friendly and amazing taste. The chicken Titanic and Murg Musallam should be tried if you are going with a group of 4-5. Customers can occupy the tables on the first floor if they prefer AC seating.
Pocket friendly restaurant for a quick lunch or dinner. Green chicken chilly, tandoori, and chinese dishes are to be tried. Ambience is okay as well as service.
All i can say that if you are looking out for a budget restaurant which serves mughlai food ...then look no more .. located in the busy crawford market area ... its a perfect place to have lunch after a busy shopping session !! One of our fav dishes is the schezwan Tandoori chicken ..it is so spicy u will need to sit with some tissues to wipe the tears...but it is worth it... !!!! Do give it a try
Must try : Schezwan tandoori chicken
Food 4/5
Ambience 4/5
Service 3/5
Its time for dinner at Central hotel spcl in chinese food . Its famous dish is pudina tanduri , tanduri chinken shezwan, and hot and sour soup.if i are lover chinese do visit here .....
Located on crowed streets of Mumbai is central restaurant, the restaurant gives you a nostalgic vibe with wonderful tasting food at really reasonable prices, must try are the kebabs (reshmi), tikka gravies. Prefer the AC section, good place for a quick bite!
This streets are never sleeping on Ramadan and food here is good they have good Non Veg and keema egg bhurji is really good also I recommend you should try desserts.
This place is lit up during ramzan!
Always visit at night for the best food!
Best place to eat fried quill masala and more!! Must visit!
It's crowded but they serve you very fast
Things to try
Kheema, gurda, bheja fry/ masala
One of the best restaurants in town that provide quality food. A perfect Tandoor Junction. A wide variety of pure chicken delicacies available at a very pocket friendly rate.
Seating environment might make you feel uncomfortable but Taste of Food kills all uncomfortness.
FILL YOUR TUMMY WITHOUT EMPTYING YOUR POCKET.
Awesome taste.. Very tasty food. You will. Not get this taste in restaurants which are costly and have nice ambiance. I advise everyone to try atleast once
OVERVIEW: This place has matched the standards that one would expect from the food you get at MOHAMMAD ALI ROAD. Ambience is okay. Staff Service is also good.
WE HAD
*Appetizer* - Chicken Crispy (Rs- 210) *Sufficient for 4*
*Shakes and Drinks*- Soft drinks
*Main Course* - Butter Chicken with Tandoori Roti
CONCLUSION: For only a bill of 410 rupees we had amazing food. This place would suffice all your Mughlai food cravings. It was only 2 of us who had our lunch there and we had to take half of the chicken crispy home because we couldn't finish it.
The quantity of chicken crispy is just amazing and it's worth your 210 rupees. Would definitely visit this place again.
We were on our way to Patel restaurant for starters ..when we saw this restaurant just opposite to Patel..Though apprehensive before entering the restaurant..n were very doubtful after seeing the family hall...one must say, we were wrong enough.. the food served is fresh n very tasty.. we started with Chicken Manchow Soup which was awesome.. correct amount of ingredients makes it worth a try.. accompaniments served were fresh ... We followed it up with Chicken 65, which was a poor cousin of chicken crispy...made similar to crispy, the difference being the chicken was not made crispier. ..it was good..at last we ordered Chicken Schezwan Tandoori and tandoori roti... and man we hv to say the Schezwan Tandoori was awesome...the masala though spicy was very tasty ..the chicken was fresh and made us drool for more. .the tandoori roti was also excellent..overall a satisfies outing...will visit again to taste some Indian cuisine..
Every time I visit this place I fall for most of their dishes over and over again. Be it chicken kebabs, tandoori chicken, mutton kheema, mughlai mutton handi or chicken chilly, it's too delicious.
This place is recommended for every foodie who's looking for a lip smacking non veg delicacy, especially tandoori and tawa items.
The ambience may be little old but you can head upstairs for a better seating. Anyhow their food is sufficient to overshadow the flaws in the ambience.
A real gem for a foodie in Mohammed Ali road.
Malesian fried rice: 2 types of rice noodles gravy and chicken lolly pop.
Good in respect to the standard of the hotel.
Their chicken legs are also good
The standard of service, quality produced and the food never fails to impress us. The atmosphere is relaxing and you can take your time over the fine dining experience.
Good food for a very honest price. That's what Central Restaurant is all about.
Don't come here looking for ambience, edm music or super fast service. It's just another restaurant for non-vegetarian food.
A lot of items here are worth recommending. Most of the food is oily and moderately spicy for the Indian tastebuds.
One cannot afford to miss the delicacies here - Egg Masala Fry, Chicken White, Chicken Kabuli, Chicken Nawabi, Chicken Methi Garlic, Chicken Stew Fry, Mutton Nawabi, Mutton Bhuna, Mutton Paya, Mutton Khichda, Mutton Dal Gosht and Mutton Peshawari.
They also serve Desi Versions of Chinese food and Arabic Cuisine. I personally prefer to ignore it having tasted the authentic cuisine.
A big meal for four with starters, main course and a couple of Cokes would cost you 700 bucks.
Absolute value for money 🌟
Recommended!
To begin with
A very very reasonable hotel , tried 3 dishes
Tawa chappati : good , smooth and moist
Mutton currey ( muton peshwari ) : it was delicious
Biriyani : had the biriyani being good i would have given 5/5
Value for money check the shehzwan tandoori and raja Rani, and lajwab. When every there try it it is really value for money. The snacks in evening are awesome.
It's my one of d best choice in CST at low cost, we get some good tikkas, soft rotis and yummy muhgali.... If u r searching good food in low budget.... It's ur destination for dinning r take away
Good food but not a great place. If you are there with you family u better just go up in the ac but even there don't expect much but it's decent. Now the food, i find it great specially for the price. If you are a tikka fan try their tikkas like the malai tikka, reshmi tikka and also try their tandoori it is awesome. Then change your taste buds to Chinese, they put lots of ajinomoto thats what i feel but you can ask them to use less or not to use. End your meal with a good cup of tea, well i like black tea and if you like black tea as well feel free to order it out here, you wont be disappointed.
Try combinayion rice its nice with 3 diff colour and little diff taste
Really Loved the food at reasonable price. The quantity was also good. Taste was superb. Will suggest everyone to go there and have a meal. Ambience was also superb.
Located in the vibrant area of Kalbadevi, Central Restaurant is a hidden gem for those seeking authentic and delicious kebab platters and tea. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I had heard rave reviews about this place and decided to give it a try. I can confidently say that Central Restaurant surpassed my expectations with their mouthwatering offerings.
Upon entering Central Restaurant, I was greeted by a cozy and inviting ambiance. The staff was warm and friendly, providing excellent service throughout my dining experience. The menu was extensive, but I was particularly interested in their kebab platters and tea selection.
The kebab platters at Central Restaurant were simply outstanding. The meat was tender, succulent, and bursting with flavor. Whether it was the juicy chicken tikka, the perfectly marinated seekh kebabs, or the melt-in-your-mouth lamb kebabs, each bite was a delight to the senses. The platters were served with a generous portion of aromatic rice, fresh salad, and delicious homemade naan bread, completing the culinary journey.
What impressed me further was their tea selection. Central Restaurant takes great pride in their tea offerings, and it shows. Their tea menu featured an array of options, including traditional Indian chai, herbal infusions, and exotic blends. I opted for their masala chai, and it was a revelation. The tea was brewed to perfection, striking the right balance between the robustness of spices and the soothing warmth of milk. It was the ideal accompaniment to the rich and flavorful kebabs.
The attention to detail in Central Restaurant's food preparation and presentation was commendable. Each dish was beautifully plated, showcasing the chef's expertise and passion for their craft. The flavors were authentic, and the quality of ingredients was evident in every bite.
Moreover, the pricing at Central Restaurant was reasonable, considering the generous portions and the exceptional taste. It is a place where you can enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank
In conclusion, Central Restaurant at Kalbadevi is a haven for kebab and tea enthusiasts. With their delectable kebab platters and impressive tea selection, it is a place that delivers on both taste and ambiance. Whether you're a local or a visitor exploring the culinary scene of Mumbai, I highly recommend paying a visit to Central Restaurant. Prepare to indulge in a gastronomic experience that will leave you craving for more.
Food was tasty but slightly on the sweet side. One of my favourite places to eat.
This is our go to family restaurant. Of course food is just awesome but sometimes it feels like the chicken is not cooked well, everything else is amazing. Try it once and you'll not regret.
Central Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its diverse menu catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The ambiance is inviting, the food is of top-notch quality and absolutely delicious, all at reasonable prices. The service provided here is simply the best! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Mumbai.
Its one of the busiest restaurants. I had to try Dal Tadka as advised by one of my friends.
It was delicious but a bit more spicy.
They also provide Tandoori Roti made by Wheat which I enjoyed as well.
I personally found Patel's restaurants Dal Tadka to be a level above and that was less spicy.
Food is lip-smacking. I ordered mutton dabba gosht which I ate with a naan and a tandoori roti. Both the breads were nice, but the star was the mutton dabba gosht. This is a preparation of mutton pieces, minced mutton, quartered boiled eggs, tomatoes cooked with various spices and masalas. This is finally enveloped in a very thin egg omelette. Highly recommended for children or anyone else who may struggle with chillies.
I recently dined at Central Restaurant, and I must say, the highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the chicken butter. It was absolutely delicious!
The chicken butter dish was rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The tender chicken pieces were perfectly cooked and coated in a luscious, aromatic sauce. It was a delightful culinary experience that left my taste buds thoroughly satisfied.
As for the restaurant itself, the ambiance was pleasant, and the service was top-notch. The staff were attentive and friendly, which added to the overall enjoyable dining experience.
I highly recommend Central Restaurant, especially if you're a fan of chicken butter. It's a great place to indulge in some mouthwatering food, and I look forward to returning for another satisfy.
The ambience is very beautiful and comfortable. And their butter chicken and seekh kebab is best although all dishes are delicious but these two are must try dishes .. Best place to have a mean time with your family 😍😍
Food is too good. Services is also nice. It's good option within budget. must go for non-veg lovers
