This is an old favourite of my family, one we rely on whenever we have a craving for Indian Chinese food. The two things we never fail to order here are the Crab Manchow soup and the fresh custard. The soup is beyond amazing. Some might feel that it tastes a little like Chicken Manchow but you can understand the hints of crab if you know how it tastes. They even garnish it with crab pieces on top. Coupled with the fried noodles it warms you up from within. The fresh custard is like a sweet end to your food experience here.
The other things we love over here are the Dragon Chicken, Chung Fa Chilly Chicken, Singapore Fried Rice and Triple Szechuan Rice (order only when you have enough room for this!).
The ambience isn't anything to brag about but one can simply get a take-away because you can not miss this restaurant.
We had even bought a packet of rice noodles that they have for sale there, which is equally good. But be sure to couple it with rice when you make it otherwise it tastes too bland.
The staff is also friendly and courteous.
Food is superb quality and quantity too good, the taste has not changed ate there after 10 years only the price has changed, everything in the city has become expensive so I guess it's alright, the service is still amazing the owner and his staff are just too good like the chocolate mousse.
Just recently visited this place after reading an article that this is one of the oldest and most authentic Chinese serving places in Mumbai.
I tried the Chicken Lollipop and a huge bowl of Chicken Soup and I must say that it definitely lived up to the hype! The food was really tasty and too damn filling! Definitely worth the money spent.
I was supposed to rate this place a 4 because of the ambience which definitely needed some restructuring, but I'm gonna give it a 5 because the guy at the counter was really sweet and he gave us a small discount and some chocolates! Keep up the good work :)

They have variety of chinese rice options and a good quantity is also served. The service is also very good. The owner is really sweet, he provides sweets along with the bill. What we have here are some lip smacking Fried Wantons served with a bowl full on warm Schezwan Sauce and a giant bowl of Chicken Triple Rice! The venue being Chung Fa, Tardeo. (Bang opposite to Bachoo Motors). Worth every penny and they offer quality and quantity and a really average price! Worth trying ♡
This is place for people who are looking for Authentic Chinese food, ambience is not much impressive but food is so delicious. I had tried chicken schezwan rice, it's very good in taste, also one think I noticed is that, they are not making use of added colors.

Taste is good , quick service but bit expensive compared to other chinese outlet and nearby restaurants... Ambiance is also not good...From outside you won't be able to recognise the restaurant..
Delicious food and good quantity at an affordable price . Been to this place more than a hundred times . They have very good service and the owner is very friendly . A must recommended place for all Indian-Chinese food cravers. Try out their chicken triple schezwan fried rice or Hong Kong chicken gravy .

Whenever I crave fried wantons, Chung Fa is the place I go to. No matter what one says about the ambience, the food they serve is of decent quality. Also mind well the portion size is also relatively large.
Taking a journey of 40 odd kilometers just for a portion or two of fried wantons pretty much speaks for itself.
The ambience of the place is not its highlight but the food pretty much makes for the lack of it. My suggestions to anyone who visits is to get a portion or two of the "Fried Chicken Wantons" and the Mongolian Chicken(fried minced chicken balls). Also if your tongue can take high scoville numbers also get the Chung-Fa Chilly Chicken(its really spicy).
After a few fire breathing appetizers you want to try the mild chicken chow Mein its very mild in taste and is hearty. I would suggest a side of Fried Pepper Chicken to give a firing zing or you can order a chicken fried rice with the same side.
Its a very economical place and if you are willing to give ambience zero priority over food then this is the place for you.
If you are from kolkata and crave for #TangraType Chinese food then 'The original Chung-Fa' is the place for you. Whenever i crave for kolkata style Chinese food specially the Hakka flavour, i drop in here.

Lovely food there ... Personal favorite is the Dragon Chicken, Rice in Growing tree.... Extremely pocket friendly...And the owner is a very sweet n humble parsi Uncle 😊 been eating at this place since childhood.

A small place in tardeo. Basically the place is a delivery specialty outlet but they have a decent sitting place. Not a fancy place but the food is awesome! We ordered Malaysian flat noodles, peking noodles, hunan paneer rice, chocolate mousse and paneer Hong Kong (starter). Delivery was quick, taste 9/10. The food was excellently balanced with oil and spices. Loved it! A must try.

Was at a friend's place who lives in the area and she had ordered in food from here, apparently it is their go-to place for ordering in chinese food. Tasted Veg Hakka Noodles, American Chopsuey and Paneer Manchurian gravy and nothing much to complain. Usual Indian Chinese food with loads of sauces, spices, gravies, lip smacking for our stomachs made of steel :D
Hakka Noodles were really crunchy while American Chopsuey were perfectly sweet and had loads of that bright red color that coats our lips and tongues like a mad clown :D Paneer actually smelt a little weird as if it had been marinated in oil for 24 hours before dunked in the machurian gravy and then I realized this is the mark of pakka desi chineez food, where the smells and flavors and textures are just unbeatable. I dare any other country in the world to create a fusion food culture like ours :D :P :D
Anyway, my stomach survived, I binged like anything, my friends and I took a couple of selfies with bright red tongues, we burrped happily and our pockets were not lighter by more than Rs. 500 for all the unhealthy binge meal with very good quantity for both of us. Overall, what is not to recommend? :D
A super place for Chinese here at Tardeo. A place which is light on the pocket and heavy on the stomach 😉, the staff here are very courteous and it's owned by an Irani / Parsi Uncle who would greet you with a big smile. Coming to the main part the food we ordered was very nice. We went with the Hong Kong rice with chicken manchurian. On the day prawn wafers were available which was a nice addition. For dessert we ordered the custard which I would say is a MUST have. A nice Parsi touch at the end of your meal. I would say a good place for a quick bite and a must try. Happy munching 🍻

This one is a real gem for vfm decent chinese food.. i have been here loads to times and have not been disappointed by the food.the chinese is execellent for its pricing, quality and quantity. The lung fung soup is excellent.. the rice noodles are good, more or less every item is made differently and is not just same gravy with different names.. total vfm..on the downside..the delivery service is slow and dim..they r located in tardeo and did not knw whr bhatia hospital was..which is pretty stupid considering that its 500 mts away and one of the biggest hospitals in town.
Best restaurant I've been going to this restaurant since small and its like a second house must say. I love all the food over here and the staff service amazing, and simply gem of a person the owner of this restaurant. Thank you uncle for giving us a lovely meals.

The food here is amazing, the quantity is just too much.The quality is great. The staff is very polite and helpful. The only issue with them is the ambience, the restaurant is small and gets crowded very soon. It’s very crowded at weekends.

All Chinese dishes are amazing. Don’t forget to try the spring roll, it’s very nicely prepared.
The sweet corn soup is really yuuum.
Sea food lovers can enjoy as well (prepare fresh fish only).

ohk so the ambience is a huge turnoff , still has the atmosphere of corner Waala local Chinese , but the variety is amazing , quality is amazing , prices are reasonable ( I got a discount simply on a bare minimum purchase ) , staff is courteous . only if they can improve the ambience , I'd like to take my girl there next time for a date .
Service is slow and the ambience not that great but who cares about that when the food is so yummy...tried the Dragon chicken which resulted in an instant foodgasm and in 5 mins the main course arrived which was chicken rice with growing tree a well balanced sweet and spicy rice gravy dish...worth every penny. special thanks to uncle who owns the place for giving us a generous discount on our bill...lol
So I have been eating at this place since I was 3 years old and Uncle (as i call the sweet parsi gentleman who owns the joint) has literally seen me grow up. But apart from the apparent bias, I think the food from here is amazing for the price it is offered at and the quantity is brilliant.
The American Chopsuey and Sweet Corn soup are to die for. The place may not be the most apt for planning a trip out with your family since it is a small place unlike the earlier shop at breach candy which was amazing ambience but the food is definitely worth it and if you are looking to order in some good Indian Chinese for a very reasonable price, this is the place.

I have been here once during christmas. Was quite reluctant as the place looked a bit shady but i was mistaken. The staff is very courteous and the food is extremely delicious. Seriously want to try again but never got the chance! But i will go again!!!

Used to frequent the breach candy one since I was a kid. It was a weekly or bi weekly eat out place, our family's fav.

Aaah,... the original, the one and only, Chung Fa. It brings back memories of school days and eating out with parents when eating out was a special occasion. I remember it being bigger when it was at Breach Candy. the new one at Tardeo now is a hole in the wall.

This little hole in the wall restaurant is a hit and miss by sight but hard to forget once your taste buds have relished the food. It reminds me on Fu-Yong in Matunga. Take any pick for it's all great food.
The Fried Pepper Chicken starter is killer - not oily, perfectly seasoned without hard chunks of pepper. The Mixed Fried rice is awesome and can be had plain or with any of the sides that your waiter recommends. The icing on the cake is the sure-shot 10% discount that you get and the litchee candies that made Five Spice famous.

I would start with a personal note.. I call the uncle bawa.. Have been there more number of times than I can recall. If ambience and brand is what you are looking for then you will be a lot disappointed. However, food is best in class. Triple schezwan rice is the best there. Soups are authentic Chinese soup. Thick amd tasty. Have ordered a lot of dishes all over the menu. Never been disappointed.

Since i was kid i used to go at this magnificent Chinese outlet laid back in a small corner at breach candy with crowd awaiting there chance to get in and have some delicious Chinese cuisine
But unfortunately they had to shut down the outlet out there and shifted it to tardeo on the main road
Small tiny restaurant nothing fancy about the ambience nothing fancy about the waiters. But simply outstanding food what should you eat
Soup. Man-chow,hot and sour or the sweet corn (let me tell you the best soup in bombay even golden dragons cant touch their soup honestly)their crispy noodles with the soup are perfectly made love it

Most delicious Chinese food!! Yummy!! Not expensive. Parsi uncle sitting at the counter is friendly and cool with the customers. Little congested place, decor and sitting arrangements are blow mark but food make up for everything. Highly recommended.
We've been eating at Chung Fa since it was located at Breach Candy (30 years plus), down Gamadia Road . Nothing's changed! still the same old tasty chinese food. obviously it not an oriental restaurant one might expect from "legends" like Morimoto but if you accept that it will give you Indian tweaked Chinese food, you will not be disappointed.
A popular food joint for us, since our office is right opposite Chung Fa and in the vicinity of mouth watering buttery Pav Bhaji of Sardar Pav Bhaji and reasonably "Good-For-Stomach" restaurants nearby - Maji Sagar and Jyoti. Since this is a full time Chinese Restaurant, we often order from Chung fa when we need a shift from Punjabi and Pav bhaji.
Taste, Quantity and Price - AMAZING !
Besides, the lichy chocolate that they give at the end, adds up to my personal love for them.
The owner is kind and may give you 10-15% discount abruptly and will be like icing on the cake. (may be I should learn few more idioms on food description) :P
If you are a Parsi, then toh you are in for a good discount on the final bill dikra. Located diagonally opposite Sardar Pav Bhaji, this place serves you real good Indian Chinese food. The quantity is nice, the quality is superb. The ambiance is more like a parsi mafia joint. Small place with lot of eating varieties.

They have recently renovated their ambience. The look and feel is good. Chug Fa has always been our go to place for impromptu dinners plans with friends, but trust me when I say it, new chung fa has never been the same as the older one.
Food is average. Prefer going for starters.
