Tasty food...must visit..and very reasonable..please try solkadhi..
This wonderful gem in vikhroli.. usually i used to order food at office (godrej compound) and always loved their prawns malvani masala but today.. i decided to go and eat there and i tried their 'today's special' Crab Masala witj rice and bombil fry (crispy from outside and soft inside.. just the way i like it) Also I must say.. their crab masala was finger licking good.. the taste of the masala.. right amount of spices and perfectly cooked crab (loved it size, specially for the price paid). Anyone around vikhroli and wants to have some good sea food.. this is the place (taste plus good staff plus pocket friendly)
Had their malwani crab masala was damn awesome a must try for everyone. While you order from this place you don't feel much pressure in your pocket too...
Went to this place for lunch when we were hungry like hell. The place turned to be great, fully satisfying our hunger. The soups, starters and main course all were delicious. Overall a decent place to visit with good and tasty food.

Vijay Durg - Perfect restaurant if love authentic Konkani food, They serve variety of Konkani dishes like Fish fry, Solkadi, Konkani Kheema along with North Indian and Chinese food. Internal atmosphere is good and the restaurant is quiet clean and neat. Staff is soft spoken and well mannered. Only the improvement part for them is to change seating arrangement as they place continuous table which is lack in privacy.

We ordered prawns tawa fry, surmai thali, surmai tawa fry, for a different taste also ordered chicken Reshmi kabab.
So here it is Food was awesome good, well presented, hyegenic, ambience i would say good. Overall had a gr8 experince at this place

Boss what a place to eat Malvani! Omg.
My mom cools malvani/konkani food at home and I was dying to take her out to some homemade malvani food but there was none nearby. Only places one can think of are Highway Gomantak, Gajalee or Mahesh Lunch Home.
So here we went trying our luck to a place which has few reviews; some extraordinarily good. Our rating is 5 on 5 because dude you have to try their perfect, god awesome Sol Kadi. Very few places make it the way they do. Also, this is what we ordered:
1. Mutton thali: One rice bhakri, one small bowl of kheema, one bowl of sofftt mutton curry, extra gravy, sol kadi and one bowl of rice.
2. Tisrya masala/ shell fish
3. Amboli that looked more like dosa and less like neer dosa, but so filling and yum
4. More Sol Kadi
5. Bombil Fry
All the food, was absolutely fresh and delicious! Salad was so crispy man, I could have eaten more! Mutton curry was awesome so was Tisrya.
One girl came quietly, ate her chicken starter and walked out quietly, RESPECT to those who treat themselves right :)
It’s a clean place, staff is really quick and so sweet. Total bill was under 800!! Can you believe it! We were so happy! Compliments to the chef and we told them that.
Go there if you haven’t! Make this place your hangout! It tastes like homemade authentic Malvani. Hands down. Best food I’ve eaten all year. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

The vijah durg restaurent is famous for Malvani sea food , the hotel serve veg and non veg items . Its serve fast food and tea at evening too.
ordered sometime last week.. My fav. Dish here is the chicken crispy.. the best i have had served hot. The quantity is enough as a starter for 2 ppl. I also had a prawns biriyani not great but value for money..

Nice place for some tasty and cheap food without compromising on quality...!!!generally order from here on Friday evenings .Good starters like lollypops. paneer starters and all. Thalis are also good and served quick. Always love the prawn masala and liver fry masala which is a must try. Would love to try new things over here and waiting to try the fish fry:)

Prawns fry was out of this world . Thali are excellent with mutton thali as best we tried Wadas and Bhakris both . Fish thali was not that excellent
Sitting is comfortable in AC section . Overall I would love to repeat and try more options
Price wise it is not that costly . Service I guess need some improvement as staff is from Malvan and don’t know much about hospitality .
Must visit with families and friends if you love Malvani food

A typical Malvani Restaurant. Not only the fish items but also the Chicken items are good to try. The mostly famous for the Thaalis. The ambiance is quiet decent. The Staffs are friendly. The prices are affordable. As the place is situated near the business park it is mostly crowded. But if you are a non vrg food lover, then you should definitely try this place out.
Recommendations: Chicken Sukha with Bhakri, Prawns Biryani, Fish Tawa Masala.
The restaurant is located near kailash complex which is a shorcut route usually been taken to enter powai from Ghatkopar
The place os specailly known for its fish food delicacy, but since i dont have fish these are some of the chicken dishesi usualy order from the place
Must try dish : Chinken boneless biryani, Chinken manchow or Chinken sweet corn soup, Gravy: chicken hyderabady (green gravy) butter chicken (must try)

Ok ambience, AC section has good look of a typical malvani house interior, taste really like traditional malvani delicacies. Tried boneless chicken, prawns fry , chicken liver, rice bhakri, solkadi. Value for money.

Vijay Durg is a blink and miss restaurant in Kailash complex but if you miss it then you're kissing goodbye to some amazing sea food. It's easy to go wrong with sea food, stale fish will stink, fry it too much masala will burn right through however this place does it just right for reasonable prices. All thalis are safe bets. Especially recommend the surmai masala tava fry, chicken handi, kombdi vade, gulp it down with a chilled glass of solkadi. If you go there during office lunch hours then work will seem like the biggest drag.... You've been warned
I am reviewing based on their home delivery service as I haven't visited the place yet. But what I would like to mention is that this place serves exceptional food at a very affordable price. Menu is primarily famous for their Maharashtrian coastal cuisine and I've enjoyed all of their seafood dishes.
Ive tried the following items and would certainly recommend the same
-Surmai Curry
- Surmai Fry
- Prawns Fry
- Surmai Tikhale (This was lip smacking but like really really spicy )
- Chicken Handi (generous portion even when i ordered half, can easily feed 2 people with huge appetites)
- Chicken kalimiri kabab (juicy and tender)
- Do try their bhakaris .. They are chapatti's made from rice flour ... and they do go very well with any fish / prawn curries
Would also mention to not hesitate with the suggestions they offer. Never had any mishaps when ive asked for a suggestion

Visited this place for dinner after a big craving for malvani food. This is the nearest & most reasonable place for such a meal in & around Hiranandani Powai. The place is neat & clean. Has an open non-AC & AC section. Ordered the Surmai thali (with bombil fry) & prawns fry and Sabudana Khichdi. The thali & prawns were very nice & well prepared. Lacked a bit of juice but still quite good. Satisfied the cravings I had for a while. Billed up Rs 460 incl taxes. Service was quick & friendly. Its all value for money so no hesitation there. The portions are also generous for the price quotient. Definitely will visit again.

My mom loves malvani cuisine so was searching in zomato for a nearby Malvani restaurant to celebrate her bday. I liked the reviews been rated to this restaurant so felt a must visit. Situated below the kailash business park complex at hiranandani link road mostly visited by business fraternity as I could see there. The ambience was warm n the food was equally delicious. No complaints basically. I guess it's newly renovated. We dined at AC family room.The room is flourished with baskets used in villages . Near the service counter there is artificial Bird's nest hanging out. As the name suggests I just loved the malvani/konkani dishes they served. Goa ki yaad dila di!!!!!!!
For starters we ordered prawns koliwada(very succulent 10 in number)And Bombil fry(crisp and mouthwatering 3 in numbers felt to order one more n yes we did so)
For main course we took waiter's opinion. He suggested us to taste Malvani chicken sagoti. Unfortunately bhakri was not available. So had to opt for rotis which was little thick.
We also ordered plain rice n surmai curry(tasted same like my maternal grandmother does tangy n red spicy , there were 3 pieces )
Ended dinner with a glass of solkadhi to enhance digestion.. Satisfied.... Will visit this place very soon...
Vijay Durg is a perfect place for anyone who loves Konkani Food. Specially Non-Veg. Its where I have lunch everyday. Now with the AC Section Open, one doesn't have to look for another other place. Perfect food tasty Spicy Pocket friendly. The Chicken, Mutton and Fish Thalis are awesome. So is there Sol Kadi. Definitely recommend this place.
It is a very ordinary restaurant.They have recently opened an ac section too.Food is amazing with pocket friendly menu choices.mostly visited by nearby corporate staff.they serve nice fish items at reasonable price.

I've been a fan of Durga food for years , panner biriyani is one of my favourites and it's class apart from any biriyani .. Beside their North Indian pallate is really tasty ...
We always take home delivery from this place, so food is the only thing on which i can comment. Their quantity of food is good and value worth the money you pay. Taste wise it is delicious, fresh hence we always order some or the other chicken dishes every week. It delivers the food on time as well.
One of best thing about their food is that they don't experiment alot just keep things to very basic so that the taste is intact. For instance those biryanis they don't put raw (Khada) masala which actually takes away the taste. They probably put and remove it and they is why their food is delicious.
Some of the must have foods are their chicken biryani, and chicken lollypop.
This place is on the way to my office we order food for our office from here as the food here is totally Konkani Isshtyle which many people like . Have tried many dishes from the restro though the dishes which i tried have never been bad or off taste which is a very good point as consistency is important . The dishes i have tried are Prawns Sukka which nice , Chicken Sukka which awesome , Mutton Keema Masala is one of the best i have ever had & CRAB curry which was nice to taste and cooked well to be eaten with rice and to mention they serve a whole crab in the curry . Also other dishes like Pomfret fry etc also are good and to be accompanied by regional breads like Kombdi Vade and Amboli . The food is economic and tasty though they dont have great ambience so mainly for takeaways . If u are in the area nearby or order takeaway its a must try you wont be disappointed .
Had gone here for a quick lunch but was amazed to see how this place is crowded always. It serves very delicious konkani food and north indian. Its a pocket friendly place. If you are alone they do have combo offers. Service is bit slow may be because of crowd.
To start with, this place didn't excite me much in the first look. But as looks don't matter, this eatery joint turned out to be fabulous. Great taste, reasonably priced and fairly good service.
Let me enlighten on few facts for the order we had placed today.
Delivery was fast within 15min we received the order at our office. But the place is quite near by.
Chicken biryani was above average
The issue was order was we had ordered for bhoondi raita but we got veg raita which contained only water.
A small but affordable Malwani restaurant near by.
Though we have not come here several times but have ordered food at our office.
Quantity is kind of sufficient for 2
U may try the chicken Briyani or chicken fried rice kind of sufficient

Service is not tat great. It took lot of time for rotis to be served. Though not a peak day nor the place was packed still we didn't get a good service.

Vijaydurg! A place worth visiting for malvani food lovers. Little bit off the road but is always full with local office people. Dishes worth trying are the chicken tawa fry. Which was a bit too oily but a different taste! The fish they serve is nice, fresh and well cooked! You can also try the prawns koliwada! The style of their thali is a bit different than the other malvani joints I have visited. They serve a fish curry and also give you a option of having either mandeli fry or bombil fry along with it. All just for 180 bucks. Quite reasonable and filling. Overall.....

Awesome malvani food in vikhroli. I went with my frnds whatever fish items v ordered v got a fresh food. Good taste and low at cost. Waiting for the next visit.
Excellent taste. Quick service. Perfect maintenance. Seating area can be improved. Chef' specials, new recipes or restaurant specials can be recommended in choices. I would say definitely worth visiting/eating here . Overall pleasant experience.

Every non veg lover should visit this place!! Don't expect a hi Fi ambience but can be visited with family..We ordered bombil fry and chicken platter for starters. The quantity was good. For the main course we ordered Crab masala and murg musallam. Both the dishes were delicious. Quantity should suffice 6 people.
The restaurant has both AC and non AC section. Food is tasty and rates are reasonable. Bulk order is also accepted. It gets crowded during lunch time, especially on Friday for non veg food.

Good malvani food. Overall maharashtrian food is good with bhakri and rassa. Thali options are better. Service is a bit slow. Parking is a bit of an issue. Will have to park far away and walk a little to get there.
