Had opted out to try out vegetarian food and ran into this one, did not regret.
Ended having a soulful lunch which gave great joy to the tummy but not so much to the pocket cause it is a tad bit expensive.
If you like great creamy gravies, go for it.
Bang near Chetana College , Bandra East; stands this decent Family Place(Bar with same place is next to it).Although it looks quite silent and sad from the outside , the food and ambience is surprisingly good as you step in.

Decent place near Chetna College that offers drinks and truly great food that doesn't burn a hole in your pocket.
We had Veg Crispy here which was quite tasty and had good quantity for two of us. Ambience wise it is still pretty decent for the prices and service is slow.
However, food won't disappoint and prices are a prime attraction to this place. All in all, a great, no frills place to hangout.

In search of good family restaurant for dinner this place caught our eyes by their separate restaurant named family lounge.I never know that they have a separate part for families too.Decent place with perfect family kinda sofa seating.can be opted for a peaceful dinner over stressful day.
Service was nice,quick and attentive throughtout the time.Food was I found slightly let down,Tandoori chicken was little flat in taste,didn't get the strike of tandoori flavour,Triple fried rice was just ok,ordinary taste.

This is a good place to have a couple of drinks after office. Largely you’ll see a lot of people from the nearby BKC business district.
The liquor is reasonable and food is nice.They have a quarter system.
Couple of sitting options, one at the main entrance in the outdoors (covered), they also have A/C section and a rooftop option is also available. We chose the rooftop section as it was quite pleasant.
Ordered for Tandoori chi. was done nicely, made it lil crispy as I’d asked for. Also give chilli n shezwan Sauce complimentary. Ubla chana masala was nice with the drinks, so was the masala Papad nice n crisp.
The person also suggested a chicken item which was an appetiser in green and cooked along with an egg covering, it was really nice. Sorry au forgot the name.

Love this place for the masaledaar food it serves. The portion sizes are good and food quality is also good. Run off the mill products but done well. Good option for home deliveries as well. But don't visit/order expecting your minds to be blown over..
In BKC there are not many places where boys can go and just chill without bothering much about set up or anything... Sometimes during those animated talks what you want is tasty food coming your way and proper service to ensure that flow is not broken.
This place serves all the above... the food is tasty especially the Non-vegetarian platter. The service is prompt and friendly. Interior is little on a dull side but that adds to the raw feeling which you get from this place.
Recommended for boys hangout and corporate farewell parties.

Chinaar will remain one of the most memorable places, after spending quite a few days there, giving the perfect atmosphere for storied conversations with best friends. Don't expect it to be super fancy or anything to bring your girlfriend, but as soon as the sun goes down and thanks to the roof top setup, the mood kicks in. Magnificent place with huge infrastructure and cozy atmosphere as well. Service was absolutely fantastic and quick. V ordered regular chinese food and it was fabulous. Ratings are more for quick and obedient service.
An expensive place but their food is worth the money. Went in for a lunch and tried vegetarian although eating out and going for vegetarian is a once a blue moon activity but we weren't dissappointed.

The fried fish (Bombil or Surmai) is actually quite nice and the chaats, papad and matar make for good chakna. Come in to lett your head down and leave in high spirits. Quite literally.
Chinaar is the most popular Bar in BKC. I often visit with my friends. Its popular cause the public working in BKC is too much and this is one of the few bars close by at an affordable range. Drink rates are normal. Food is quite OK. Service is good if there is less crowd... Otherwise overall Good ! Kudos !

Tucked up in a corner at Bandra east, this place is always full and rightly so! Slow service, but the food is usually well worth the wait. The Lucknowi Sheek Kabab and Butter Chicken are must havs!
A no-frills place for a relaxed drink and dinner with friends.. The hara bara kebabs were tasty even though a little over fried - nowadays I prefer dishes with less oil :) The Palak Paneer was yummy with soft Paneer, which I've seen only in the north..

Chinaar is a bar and restaurant in Bandra east with having roof top as it's attractive element. Sadly it's in the bar section of the hotel and so I've never got to visit it.
Talking of drinks they serve decent variety of cocktails and mocktails along with variety of hard drinks.
Known best as pocket friendly bar chinar serves drinks at reasonable and affordable prices with good food.
The food served here is tasty and quite compelling to visit again
My very favorite here is paneer kadai with perfect taste, good portion,size, fair appearance and value for money. chinar makes itself popular in the small area of Bandra east. They also have open tandoori kitchen so you can enjoy watching roomali roti being made.
Also their garlic butter naan is worth having.
You can also celebrate your birthdays here as they play songs if demanded and can give a perfect atmosphere for the celebration.
The staff is quite courtageous and greets you warmly.
Overall chinaar makes you come back again for the above mentioned stuff it offers.

Are usual adda to meet my old colleagues after such a long. As usual the food is great. The non ac section is great. But had lost mosquito issues. The service was a bit slow. A satisfactory experience just bcoz i was with my friends
I loved the food here..but the service is little slow..even when there is literally no crowd. I had gone there with my officemates , in the lunch break ..but due to the delay in service we got little late. But the dishes we tried tasted really good.. So worth trying!

One of the hot spot for boozers, people from all over mumbai come to this place for boozing, because of three main reasons:
1) It has got open roof top seating in addition to normal room seating and open seating at the ground floor.
2) It is very economical
3) Their starters are superb, infant those food items goes very good with drinks, (even with soft drink)
This is not a place for families, it is meant for purpose of boozing, so students, and working class and executives come to this place. Major crowd from BKC and bandra area visit the place. The place is big enough, generally you can get seats without waiting unless you ask for a specific table. It is best suitable for large groups.
They also have valet parking available. For bikes there is ample space available.

Chinaar is close to office and I have had their food on two separate occasions in the last two months.
I can compare Chinaar to an out and out masala movie - it has something for everyone! delivers on taste, quality and is an absolute paisa vasool... have tried their Chinese and Punjabi cuisines and both are delicious and of good proportion.
Recommend it for team outings / ordering in.

We had a small office lunch party, budgets were tight and I was given the responsibility to arrange for the food. After reading the not-so-great reviews for Chinaar, I was considering thali options. But these two colleague insisted that I call from Chinaar... 'Let's try it out' I thought.
I called for Dal Makahni, Paneer Handi, Laccha paratha, Butter roti & Hyderabadi Biryani. Their quantity is very good and prices are very good - It was a total Value for money. Everyone enjoyed the lunch.. the spices and taste was all perfect. I had asked them to deliver sharp at 2 pm and they were not early nor late. Food was piping hot.. could not have expected anything better for this price.
I think I am going to call from this place many more times. My colleagues told me there Chinese is also very good.. so Fried rice and manchurian next!!!

Went with Office colleagues for a get together party as it is just walkable from my office. Overall the ambience was more than average. Ordered drinks in the form of Long island iced tea, Walking Tall and etc. Drinks were good and upto the standard. Ordered various kebabs and starters. most of them were good except the prawn dish which was horrible to say the least.
Main course was decent to good. Biriyani was tasty (Mind you this is coming from a Hyderabadi Biryani lover)

Nested next to the commissioner office in Bandra East, Chinaar is a joint frequented by office crowds on the way back home.
Split as a Bar and Resto Bar, it attracts a largely the quarter bar male crowd in the first and family in the next.
The booze us reasonable charged; you get some munchies and salad complimentary in the Resto bar. Starters are good and designed to go well with booze.
As for food, the Tawa mutton and the Afghan chicken are delicious and go well with garlic naan. An appetizing jaljeera is recommended as well.
VFM and quaint. OK, Chinar is not high in decor neither is dim as a regular drinking hole. Its roof top seating is probably the best in similar categories . good n veg starters. For veg- mushroom, potato starters are best.
Chinar is one place i had visited quite a few times in the past. They are one of the most decent restaurants in this area. They serve good punjabi and Chinese cuisines. Staff is prompt and courteous. On my last visit we ordered for tomato soup which was nice but the crumbs very oily, manchurian and chilly paneer were pretty good. The decor of the place is just fine but it is not well lit. They need better ventilation to get the food smell off the place. Overall it is a decent place but you would want to try it only if you dont have the time to travel to BKC or bandra west.

Visited this place by chance as we were looking for a restaurant near BKC.. Chicken tilla masala, chicken manchow soup is good... try rumali here... Since the restaurant was half empty, we got a quick service.. decent ambience... Ideal place for a quick meal and affordable drink.... in the evening, mostly crowded with office goers and middle age drunkards... economical place.. Overall decent experience...
The concept of budget wine n dine is here. Chinaar gets that for you. A nice budget place Wer one can sit after your day's work with friends n colleagues. Paneer starters, chicken starters worth trying. Had Singapore noodles here. The noodles they use are not the regular ones. They use udom noodles ( the flat ones ) better than the usual round ones. Liquor is also not so expensive. Overall a nice n pocket friendly place near to bkc Wer mostly all the wine n dines cost you a big lump.

You heard the concept of budget hotels? Chinaar is like a budget restaurant cum bar - 6 of us went there on a friday evening after work and got a corner place on the first floor. It was actually a reunion after 3-4 years and we ordered starters and drinks quickly. Place was almost empty and hence we had privacy. We spent almost 4 hours there with alchohol and starters. Good experience.

They have in total 3 seating arrangements. One for a family with full air conditioning, open varanda space seating and rooftop seating both are for a stag. Inexpensive and most favourite bar and restaurant among the working people, after office hours they visit this place. The staff and food are good. Preferred to seat in AC if you are with the family and you don't want any kind of disturbances.
Chinar Bar and Resturant has terrace sitting which is quite large to host parties. place is very busy specially on Friday hence its advisable to reserve table for big parties
