The only thing which is bad is the rasmalai cake.which is hideous.
And don't ever try that.

It’s safe to say that a visit to Ribbons and Balloons can certainly lift up one’s mood for the betterment. It’s amazing to see how such a tiny shop can contain such creativity and charm. During our visit to Ribbons and Balloons, we were fortunate enough to have met the founder herself Chitra and got to witness how one can be so passionate and fond of baking as she is. Not only did we get to hear about her incredible journey that led her to this level, but what also got to try some of her latest creations too (Please note, Our tasting consisted of smaller portions as compared to the originals!)

One such creation was the Red Velvet Cake. This is no ordinary Red Velvet Cake. The cake is covered with Chocolate Cream Cheese frosting (and a very generous amount of it) in between the layers. We thought the addition of chocolate to the cream cheese frosting was genius since it added to the richness of the flavor. The cake itself was really moist and perfectly baked.

Another creation, and what seems to be setting a trend all over Dubai, is the Lotus Cake. The lotus cake is inspired by the Lotus biscuit that has created an enormous trend all over. We personally love Lotus ourselves for the sweet caramelized tinge it adds to desserts and at Ribbons and Balloons, the generous addition of Lotus infused into its cake gives us a Lotus overdose (in a good way). Another very moist cake with a silky smooth frosting; it might be a bit too sweet for some, nevertheless we definitely recommend you giving the Lotus Cake a shot.

Finally, another trend created by Ribbons and Balloons that has taken Dubai by storm is the concept of cakes in jars and one such creation is the Sinfully Nutella Jar. This jar is satisfyingly sinful. Layers of chocolate cake and Nutella infused buttercream are loaded into this jar topped with delicious chocolates which are our childhood favorites). Definitely not for the faint hearted and dangerously addictive, this jar is bound to make you go weak in the knees.

I have been ordering cakes from here for different occasions for a while now and not even once has the quality of their food items deteriorated. I have tried a variety of different chocolate flavoured cakes, not many of them but just 2 or 3 different types of cakes, puffs and pastries also. The service is quite good and the staff is also very courteous enough to help you out with different choices so as to make different customised cakes. It is just a delivery store, but 1 or 2 persons can have a pastry and puff at the outlet, not more than that because at times, it becomes a bit too much crowded though they try their best to improve the quality always and help out their customers with a deliciously amazing food experience! :)

I have ordered this numerous times in the past and the taste has never ever failed to impress me! 😋 Just recently, I ordered this and even though they sent it through an external delivery service (Grab, to be precise), the cake was fresh, delivered on time, and as always, amazingly delicious! Although I can never get off the monginis black forest cakes and pastries (I just just love the biscuit which you get at the end of the pastry though! 😍), the one which this outlet serves is as fresh and as melt in the mouth delicious as mentioned above, I love this one also (Though I just miss the biscuit at the end! 🙈)!

I had been waiting to have the red velvet cupcakes from here for a long long time (Mind you, they just look small but they taste superbly delicious! 😍) and my wish was fulfilled with a surprise red velvet cake by my family on my birthday a few months back! Although here they can't compete with merwans, their chicken puff has a completely different taste with decent fillings of chicken and it is a large portion, which if had along with a pastry or just by itself is filling enough for one person. The taste is decently good. I have not tried quiches pizzas and sandwiches hence cannot comment on that aspect. Do have this once if you visit this outlet!
Other Desserts -
They have an array of different types of cold desserts, brownies, mousse and cupcakes. I have not yet tried them but do wish to try some of these in the future!
OverAll -
A very unique outlet having customer satisfaction at its core and serving some deliciously amazing cakes desserts and snacks. It should be surely given a try atleast once! Also the fact that they have their outlets spread across Mumbai is a proof of this!
P.S. They do charge 40 to 50 rupees depending on the place to deliver, if you wish to take delivery, please keep this in mind.

Late night sweet cravings made me stop by this small cake shop. I asked for pastries and since it was already late and closing time they had only three pastries left. I took black forest. It was okay dokey.
I have been here and ordered from here a lot of times.
Its a small little shop having a variety of pastries, savoury snacks, chips and breads.
My personal favorite is the pineapple cake, chocolate truffle and belgian chocolate cake.

Their cakes are simply amazing and mouth watering and so are their snacks. Chicken quiche is awesome and must try. In cakes their tiramisu, cappuccino, Dutch truffle and red velvet are must try.
just visited this outlet of ribbons and balloons and yes these guys have launched new range of cookies with 7 to 8 flavors ,.,.,.,cranberry naankhatai coconut dry fruit vanilla raagi double chcoc chip crackle cookie oatmeal etc etc
though all r not tasted yet i bought two packs and mst say that double chocochip cookie was excellenttt waoooo ,.,it was exakly wat a choclate lover wants ,, exact amt of choco chips added and less sugar ,.,,,.pice level is ok and yes this choco chip cookie is worth a try .,,goooooooooooooooooo

A reliable name for bakery and confectionery, " Ribbons & Balloon " have been around for more than 6-7 years or more..
Initially they are the best... But then they dropped in the quality.. And Thankyfully they are back to the good days of satisfying the sugar cravings...
This outlet in particular is well stocked and is always presentable - the staff too is polite and helpful..
Ribbons & Balloon are also known for the egg and egg-less option in almost all of the items they serve...

Absolutely delicious chocolicious brownies that make u happy and satisfy your sweet tooth. the donuts are pretty good too, oozing with chocolate. I tried the veg patties and got another pleasant surprise. the place offers good stuff for reasonable price. I keep coming back for more, especially the brownies, mmm....
The cake is amazing undoubtedly. I love the chocolate range here. But what i love about this place is they actually make the whole experience of purchasing cake fantabulous. The flavors are sorted and so is the texture of cake! They do not have a great work-force to do much innovations i guess as their special cakes are not very good!
The staff can be a little more humble and nice as they tend to get arrogant at times!
So it was a very special occasion and I needed a really really special cake to go with it...i picked R&B for the first time by hearing a lot of good reviews from people around who had tried them before...i was very pleasantly surprised...they not only made the cake look pretty but also it was one of the most tastiest cakes i have eaten in my life...i went classic with the chocolate truffle which is supposed to be sweet...but it is very easy to mess up classic as well...they needed to make this 2 kg cake for me and they delivered proudly...so just thank you and continue the good work :)

When it comes to cakes, i would prefer this over monginis for sure! the place is small and cute, with a good selection of cakes and pastries. I do love their chocolate donuts. They do have a wide variety of stuff that makes it really worth it.

There is a tough ongoing rivalry between Ribbons and Balloons and the next door monginis.. But for me R&B wins hands down.. The fresh creamy cakes and the side pastries with small munches are all available fresh.. Unlike the rivals providing with prebaked cakes and packaged munches available in monginis... The cakes are tasty.. And affordable.. The pastries are smooth and also worth the money spent...
In Ribbons and Balloons, we have a cake shop that is different from the usual Monginis and Merwans. The cakes are nicely designed, taste different from what I've eaten till date. They're soft and the presentation is really good. Other baked items are also good. The Chicken dishes are fabulous!! My personal favourite is the 'Chicken Quiche'. The staff's good as well. There are no chairs and it has very less place for a normal friends' group of 4-5 to have their meals with comfort. But I keep visiting it. It got variety.
On a recent visit, I tried their Chocolate Donut. It was heated, cut into 4 pieces and given to me with a plastic spoon. Firstly, I think the idea of cutting a donut is ridiculous. Secondly, the dough wasnt soft enough even for the plastic spoon to do its job with ease. The taste of the donut was however pretty good. Liked the cream filling. But, overall, it could be better.

Before this, Monginis used to be my favourite. But now, Ribbons & Balloons has the top spot. Their cakes taste much better, feel lighter and tastier. The pastries are also delicious. You get what you pay for here. Definitely recommended!
